Totally convinced why they have won many number 1s . Never think twice! Come and enjoy. Me, as a metalhead since the 70s...also recommend the great soundtrack inside. It is like a time machine, recalling those musical years! Come! LOVE THIS PLACE!
Food is great, haven’t had anything I didn’t enjoy. The specials are always unique and interesting, worth a shot if you’re not craving something on the regular menu.
The Katie’s, Jay and the rest of the crew are all great! Consistently delicious food, year after year. Fun specials that are well thought out, and a welcoming environment.
Chicago Culinary Kitchen is truly the best. I have dined in, used their catering services, and taken one of their cooking classes. They never disappoint! Every experience has been top-notch. The food is consistently incredible, and the staff is awesome—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they care about quality and the overall experience. Highly recommend for any occasion!
Barbecue, beer, rock and roll and tattoos... OMG, I can't remember a night where I had so much fun and great food. We started off with the Delirium Black Armangnac Barrel Aged porter. This is a really rare opportunity, so I'm not sure I'll ever see it again. Amazing!! For an opener we enjoyed the Char Siu Pig Wings, a really unique take on the chicken wing - sweet, spicy and perfectly cooked. Then it was on to the brisket, St Louis style ribs and some of the best and most interesting sides I've had in a long time. The Sticky Sprouts had the same flavor profile as the Pig Wings, unique and tasty. The mac and cheese was dusted with crushed Flaming Hot Cheetos and the fried green tomatoes were really good too. I didn't have any stomach room left for dessert. I'll have to try the candied bacon n the next time I eat here, which I hope is really soon. And, I was granted a special high kick in celebration of my bday! The staff made my night really special.
Think benevolent biker bar. Tucked into a strip mall this place is less date night, more casual dining good food. The brisket is outstanding and rivals anything I’ve had in Texas. The service is limited but terrific - they take your order and bring it out but you go to the counter for anything you need. I like the sauce options on the table. Good drinks and N.A. selection. Lots of long picnic table seating so go with friends or be prepared to make some new ones there. The pulled pork was a little less impressive so skip it and try a Rueben or just get lots of brisket. Our friend got the hot chicken and it was huge.
My wife gifted me a ticket to CCK's "Brisket Master" class for my birthday. What a fun experience! Chef Sal and the rest of the staff were great. In two hours, we learned how to select, trim, and prepare a whole beef brisket for the smoker. This is something I've been wanting to do but was afraid to try. I think I've got it now. And best part of the class, we either got to take home the brisket we prepared and smoke it ourselves or have CCK smoke it for us. Since time was short for me, I asked them to smoke it for me in time for my birthday party the next day, and they did. All I can say is the family went nuts! Some of them had never had properly smoked brisket before. Needless to say, there was very little leftover for my family to take home. So, I've just bought myself a ticket for their upcoming "Pork Master" class in February. I can't wait!
Let's start with WOW! My wife and I have been driving by this place since it opened and finally made it a priority. Everything about this place screams Amazing. The atmosphere, the food, the conversation, down to the Rob Halford mural, we loved it all! I cannot describe how perfect the brisket was in words, so you will have to try for yourself :) Jay was the best host, and We cant wait to get back and try many more delicious items on the menu. We shall see you soon, and Often!
Really delicious and eclectic bbq options. Lots of Asian inspired flavors but in the classic bbq tradition. Brisket and ribs were quite tasty and I was caught off guard by how much I enjoyed their bbq lasagna. The ordering is a bit different so take your time, especially with their massive menu. Nice if bar-like atmosphere and friendly service. Would definitely gladly eat here again.
We had Chicago Culinary Kitchen cater my husband’s birthday party last weekend, and the food was absolutely amazing! We’ve eaten at the restaurant before and it’s always incredible, which is why we decided to go with them for catering, but you never know, sometimes catering can be hit or miss. In this case, it was just as delicious as eating in person. The delivery was seamless, and the driver was so helpful in getting everything set up. The food stayed warm, traveled well, and held up beautifully. Everyone at the party kept commenting on how great everything tasted. One fun note: we had a couple of guests up from Texas, and as anyone who knows barbecue knows, Texans can be very particular about their BBQ. They absolutely loved it, which says a lot! Jay was also fantastic to work with. He called me ahead of time to walk through the order and gave helpful tips for setup and serving. Everything went perfectly from start to finish. I can’t recommend Chicago Culinary Kitchen enough. Just phenomenal food and great service all around.
Last time I went to this restaurant was back in 2019, and I am happy to say that it still better than ever! Brisket was juicy and smoky, the potato wedges are absolutely delicious. Their collection if sauces are amazing. You can’t ask for better atmosphere, rock n roll music and decor and friendly staff. You can also check their instagram for the special menu and events.
chicago culinary kitchen was actually great—like, really solid. the place has good looks, kind of that cool rustic vibe without trying too hard. staff was super nice, service was fast, and the food came out quicker than i expected. there were a lot of good choices on the menu, but i went with a burger and it was perfect—juicy, flavorful, exactly what you want. fries were just okay, nothing to write home about, and the spicy ketchup was kinda weird, not really my thing. but everything else? tasty, satisfying, and the portions were huge, like “am i supposed to finish this?” big. overall, great spot—would definitely come back.
I saw this place on TT. It looked amazing. I finally got in and I will say I was blown away. I have for years drive by thinking this was a cooking school. I was wrong. It's an amazing restaurant. I got the buffalo chicken. It turned two meals. All their menu looks awesome. I'm a fan for sure. Can't wait to go back. Just remember, they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
My husband and I had an absolutely incredible experience at Chicago Culinary Kitchen in Palatine! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the atmosphere! It’s fun, edgy, and totally unique. The rock ’n roll theme mixed with the laid-back vibe made it feel like more than just a meal, it was an experience. The food was phenomenal! Every single thing we tried had TONS of flavor. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the buffalo chicken sandwich was HUGE, and the mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy perfection with some flamin hot chettos on top. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely seem to love everything about the restaurant. They made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!!
Because of my schedule, it took me almost a year to make it. I came for the amazing food but got much more! The attentiveness from the staff Katie btw was Great she suggested our 1st dining experience and it was 5 star worthy! Good energy Great food the attention to detail in appearance and food quality is unmatched. I can't wait to go again!!!
This place is amazing and I feel as using “amazing” is an understatement. The kitchen has such a fun welcoming vibe on top of the great staff who’s always ready to help you with any questions and suggestions for things to try! They have staples at the restaurant like the Sweet Brisket Sandwich (my go to) BUT they crank out these unbelievable specials that you HAVE TO TRY! From beautifully cut meats, to hand crafted beverages, welcoming smiles and don’t forget the mouth watering cake, this place should become your go to too!
First visit here and the food was fabulous. I had the Steakhouse Smashburger, Truffle Salt Fries, and Creamy Dreamy Potato Salad. The Legacy and Texas Hippie sauces were both top shelf. My wife had the 1/2lb Brisket. We both loved our meals. The atmosphere was okay, but the music a tad too loud with the genre leaning much more toward Heavy Metal, than "Rock and Roll" as advertised on the window. At least while we were in the building. My next visit will likely be for carryout.
From the moment I walked in the place smelled great. Had a lot going on visually appealing. The service was kinda of slow. Food was amazing. Next time I’m in town I will definitely be back. The food looked amazing as I forgot to take a picture. Get the bread pudding is was also amazing.
It was our first time here and it was a great experience. The service and atmosphere 10 out of 10. I gave the food 4 stars specifically because of the sliced brisket. We found it a tad dry, but holy crap. The chicken was insanely tender and juicy, fell right off the bone. Truffle fries good, Brussel sprouts amazing ands overall an incredible food and drink menu. I would definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food was ok. For the prices I wish it was better. The brisket was dry and for the half pound I got there was a lot of fat in the cuts I received. The pulled pork sandwich is amazing. The coleslaw def carried the sandwich. The bbq sauce is amazing. And the fries covered in that garlice aioli was freaking bomb!!!!!!! The to-go server was very very nice. Will be back to try other items.
We got there early on a weekday evening and got seated right away. Casual atmosphere and great service. Food was served within minutes of ordering. We ordered 1/2 lb of brisket, St. Louis ribs, Texas link, coleslaw and bbq beans. The brisket was tender and fatty - not outstanding, but better than most bbq places in the area. Next time I would order 1 lb ,hopefully in order to get a thicker piece. The St. Louis ribs were big and meaty, but were a bit dry and could’ve been more tender. The Texas link was outstanding as was the coleslaw and barbecue beans. Overall, a good BBQ joint, better than others in the burbs.
I had the regular 1/2 slab of ribs ..ribtips .potato salad .. corn muffin .. The regular ribs were tender but just a bit too salty ..probably the rub .The ribtips were tender and very good and also was a nice portion ..the potato salad was ok .. the muffin was also a nice size ... the sides are ala carte ...the service was friendly and very good ... its seems to be a very friendly upbeat and lively place ... They have hightop counter seating and backyard bench seating...OQ
