Avis sur Del Taco Palm Desert
I had a free iced coffee via the app. I didn’t expect much but the coffee was really good. It tasted like cafe de olla.
Picked up an excellent lunch at Del Taco! The service was fantastic, the restaurant is very clean and the food was so delicious!! Ordered the Mex Faves El Big Box - $7 - What a DEAL!!!! Beef & Bean Burrito, Grilled Chicken Taco, Soft Snack Taco, Mini Quesadilla and 16 oz Fountain Drink. Highly recommend!!
Great most of the time, notice how you never hear bad things about del taco food. Its still fast food but at least it's real food. Chicken soft tacos a bit on the salty side but still tasty.
We love Jorge! He provides such very good service and is so nice that we will come back to see him again next time!
I rarely review fast food, but my experience at this location was so good, I felt compelled. This store was clean, the food was fast and hot. The elderly lady that took our order (I wish I got her name for this review) was so sweet and funny. She really put this place over the top. Thank you.
I'm a huge Del Taco fan and the one thing I've noticed (especially in the Coachella Valley) is that no matter what location you go to, they are consistently fast, friendly, and accurate. But this location beats the others and I think it is because there is no drive thru. If you know Palm Desert, this shouldn't come as a surprise, but what ends up happening is that your entire experience is slightly better. Guests are served in the order in which they arrive, priority isn't given to people in a drive thru line, because there is none. The staff work more efficiently, they seem happier, and more people actually stay and eat since they've already gotten out of the car. And the only thing better than Del Taco (which is always fresh, fresh, fresh) is Del Taco when you eat it immediately. So satisfying. One other thing, there is an older gentleman who works here that I often see cleaning the dining room and holding the doors for guests, he is so nice, just like everyone. I love this place. (Now if only they would bring back the Beyond options...)
Food was made fresh to order. Hot fries! Food was great. Lots of toppings. And Jaime's service was excellent. He made sure my order was made exactly like I wanted. Chilli cheese fries. Definitely will return.
There was a charge for ketchup of 25 cents. I never heard of such a thing. This was for my French fries 🍟 I purchased.
Typically fast service and they are one of the few places in palm desert that stays open past midnight, which is a good thing when you get some late night munchies.
Double check your order, sometimes it's missing items or incorrect items.
First of all--- staff here were very nice and patient and they have Diet Coke on a soda fountain spigot, which is stupendous. Separately --- omg, i hate the touchscreens and automation. I hated not being able to create demand for human jobs here. Most people over 65 CANT OPERATE A TOUCHSCREEN (I used to work at the DMV, I know this reality intimately) --- the gentleman in front of me struggled then gave up and created more work for me cancelling this order than was necessary. I hope some person, some executuve higher up, sleeps well at night knowing theyve replaced good working people with touchscreens that most people in the Coachella Valley area (Mean age is 65+ by the by) can't operate --- corporate hubris and stupidity at its finest. Staff at store 5/5 Corporate/Brand score -2/5
Food is good but place is pretty messy. No one seems to clean the tables very often. The restrooms are not very clean either...in this area it should be much better....
Nothing special. Decent but it’s fast food.
Bobby does not approve or disapprove of this place. Del-Taco The Bean & Cheese Burrito clocks in at 1,250 mg of sodium, over half the daily recommended limit. Even the Crunchtada Tostada, a seemingly light option, packs 730 mg of sodium. High sodium intake increases risk of hypertension, stroke, and kidney disease. Vegetarian items often include cheddar cheese, sour cream, and fried shells, which drive up saturated fat. The Cheddar Quesadilla contains 16g saturated fat and 1,250 mg sodium—a heart-health hazard in disguise. Del Taco has been linked to multiple food poisoning reports: Vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps from items like bean burritos, tacos, and guacamole. Locations in California, Idaho, and Ohio reported outbreaks tied to poor food handling and sanitation
Thursday afternoons have turned into a bit of a ritual for me: hitting different Del Taco spots during their weekly special. From 3 PM to 11 PM, you’re supposed to score 3 chicken tacos for $4.99. I’ve done it plenty of times, and it usually works just fine. Today, at 3:17 PM, I pulled up, ordered the exact deal that was printed right on the door, and expected to pay five bucks plus tax. Instead, my receipt came out to $7. It’s not about the couple of dollars — it’s about the principle. If a promotion is advertised big and bold, the register should honor it. I shouldn’t have to chase down an employee or debate the pricing just to make it right. The food was standard Del Taco: hot, quick, and exactly what you expect. The ambiance? Basic fast-food setup — bright lights, tile floors, plastic tables, and that slightly echo-y vibe when the place isn’t crowded. It was clean enough, with a steady flow of drive-thru traffic, but nothing that makes you want to hang out longer than finishing your meal. 💥 Final take: 1 star. Honesty and consistency matter more than cheap tacos. If the special says $4.99, it should ring up as $4.99 — no exceptions.
I ordered a Del beef burrito but she rung it up as a bean and cheese burrito. I'm deathly allergic to beans, I had the rush out of there before I could even get a new meal, a refund or a credit. As I had the rush and go get medicine. So I gave you my hard-earned money and can't even ring up the correct meal. Got it. Will never visit this location again or del Taco probably ever agsin. Thank you for trying to kill me and enjoy free money. @whoevercorporate reads these reviews and responds unfortunately it was with cash and I left the receipt there so I know it's a peasant's words against a massive multinational corporation. So don't bother wasting your time responding saying please email me. It ain't going to get anywhere and I ain't going to waste my time.
around 9:40pm on a Friday night, three associate were arguing loudly in spanish in the kitchen while the girl in the red painted hair had to take care of a line going out the door by herself. this place so unorganized, not visitor friendly and not a good representation of palm desert/Indian Wells. also the mens restroom was so disgusting
This place has gone downhill. Not sure if it’s the economy, but now their prices have gone up way too high, and the portions have gone down. Bought a 247 Del combo burrito, which is supposed to be bigger and premium than the regular bean and cheese. This burrito looks like off a dollar menu. If we’re gonna be paying more for your mid product at least give us the portion size we deserve
I regret coming here — and I don’t recommend it to anyone. I don’t even know where to begin, so let me just break down why this place dropped to 1 star in my book: 1. Disgustingly dirty. Both the dining area and the restroom were in terrible condition, and the kitchen didn’t look any better. Open sauce bottles sitting on tables, potatoes scattered on the kitchen floor, the drink station completely sticky and messy, trash left everywhere. A place where people eat should never look like this. 2. False advertising. The only reason we stopped in was the sign outside: “Thursday grilled chicken tacos just $4.99.” The deal started at 3:00 PM, and we walked in at 3:04. We ordered exactly those tacos, but they charged us full price, as if the promo didn’t exist. Sure, it’s just a $2 difference, but it’s not about the money — it’s about the dishonesty. You can’t lure customers in with a deal and then refuse to honor it. That destroys trust and ruins a restaurant’s reputation. 3. Slow service. How does it take 20 minutes to make tacos in a place with barely any customers? Even busy cafés with full dining rooms manage to be faster. This is supposed to be fast food — the whole point is convenience and saving time. Here, it was the opposite. I can’t imagine what would happen if they actually had a crowd. 4. Unsafe surroundings. The vibe outside was honestly sketchy. The type of people hanging around made us worried about leaving our car. Sure, the restaurant isn’t fully responsible for who walks by, but interestingly, the shops and cafés nearby didn’t give off the same unsafe feeling. The food itself was fine, but honestly, if they had managed to mess up the tacos too, my rating would have gone into the negatives. Recommendation: avoid this place.
I ordered an epic burrito and the only thing epic about it was the amount of rice they put in it. I would call it a rice burrito with a sprinkling of chicken. Also, some of the rice was hard. Not many people in the restaurant.Although most of the tables were dirty.
