Food is always amazing! The entire staff is super friendly, and Elizabeth is a total gem! Highly recommend the plant based food products - if you've never tried, try them. The entire menu is tasty, I've loved everything I've tried.

I've always been satisfied eating here. The Cajun shrimp tacos are delicious and are usually what I end up with even though they have a pretty large menu with a lot of options. The Brussel sprouts are so flavorful and we always order them on the side. The service and atmosphere is always top notch. One of our favorite restaurants in palmdale. I wish there was one on the east side.

Elizabeth and Laura ALWAYS give us OUTSTANDING service. This place feels like home when they are here. We pass so many restaurants to go have dinner on Friday evenings but we always choose to come and enjoy a lovely dinner here because of them. Thank you girls for the great service we always receive.

If you love fish, Fish Grill stands alone very well .food selection and the test imaculous, great dine in high tables, overall service great. I would recommend following up with each order on the table, just to be sure everything is sound and good,no issues presence. You can always ask for more business while they are eating by asking i" is there anything I can be assist with or do you like try our new items incase if forget to mention. Just a thought. I've never been to big on fish because I have had too many bad experiences. This place blew me out of the water, seriously. I got the Atlantic salmon with chipotle lime sauce with dynamite fries and zucchini. Absolute amazing! The portions were great and pricing isnt bad either. I'm definitely going back if I'm ever nearby.

Abel the cashier is exceptionally helpful and courteous. He should get a raise for the way he helps the customers. He makes us feel welcome each and every time we come here. All of the people that work here are friendly and the food is excellent!!!

Probably my favorite spot in the entire AV. The food is so consistently delicious and the price is great for what you’re getting in return. The fish is always fresh, staff is professional, and I love the look of the inside of the restaurant. I’m glad CFG is in the AV! Recommendation - Can’t go wrong with the Salmon and Swai! Sweet potato fries are great too.

California Fish Grill has the appearance of an upscale fast food restaurant. But the food is nothing like typical fast food! The variety of fresh fish and delicious vegetables you can get are outstanding. We ordered the seared scallops, Atlantic salmon, and 2 shrimp skewers and a piece of fried catfish, a la carte, to get a taste of several different items. Our sides were grilled zucchini, brussel sprouts, and brown rice. Yum! This was my first time, but I will definitely be back!

Its GREAT! Just discovered this place. I have gone there 3 times now and one of those times I got like 12 meals for the people at work. Everything I have tried is perfect, no bad meals here. All of my family and coworkers agree. The service is always on time and on target and they have never screwed up and order. I've tried 3 different menu items myself and all were great. So yep, I'm a huge fan of this place and so is my family and my coworkers. Great food, great service!

Most amazing, fresh, healthy and delicious dish I had in a while in Palmdale. There are not that many healthy options out here..so this was such a delight. Had the Swai and shrimp skewer with brown rice and their rosemary zucchini.. affordable, well seasoned and delicious.

This place stands with their customer service and quality of fish grills. Had barramundi with rice and Zucchini, it was filling , had side of grilled shrimps and coconut shrimps, coconut shrimp were like lollipop! Awesome place.

I love this place, one of the few places to get a delicious and healthy meal. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and gives great suggestions. They have a wide selection of wild caught and farm fish, depending on preference. CA fish grill has quality from grilled plates to fish bowls to fish sandwiches.

I wish more restaurants had a focus on responsibly sourced food, like California Fish Grill. They use the highly respected Seafood Watch guide from the Monterey Bay Aquarium to ensure they are buying sustainably sourced seafood. Prices are fair as well, and the even more sustainable and local fish are more affordable - win/win.

Work has brought me to Palmdale on three occasions over the past three months and I've enjoyed the California Fish Grill on two of them.. My first visit came in December and I enjoyed Cajun-style grilled wild rockfish plate with a side of corn.. The fish was tender and flaky and the corn was lightly roasted and well seasoned.. Others in our party enjoyed grilled salmon and shrimp & avocado Caesar salads as well as the 3-piece battered fish and chips.. None of us left hungry and all of us left wildly satisfied.. On my most recent visit, which occurred yesterday (late February), I enjoyed a breaded shrimp and a battered fish taco.. Both tacos were topped with cabbage, pickled red onions, tomatoes, and cilantro.. The shrimp taco added corn and dynamite sauce, while the fish taco added cream sauce.. I drizzled roasted tomatillo salsa on both.. The tacos were delivered hot and fresh and were packed with flavor.. Amply, portioned and on sale for Taco Tuesday, they certainly hit the spot.. I would order both again.. Others in my party on this recent visit enjoyed the battered fish taco combo and the shrimp & avocado Caesar salad once again.. CFG is one of our fan favorites due to the variety and freshness of menu items.. The restaurant is inviting and the custome service on both occasions has been excellent.. We'll be back again soon!!

AMAZING FOOD!!! I had catfish for the first time today and it was so soft and moist and delicious!!! The sides were perfect too!!! There was one small bone in the fish though that hurt my tooth when I accidentally bit on it but that's not a big deal tbh. It was all so good!!!

Even though it's not a table waited restaurant the staff are more than helpful and willing to go the extra to make the eating experience great, that on top of exquisitely prepared food (as one would experience in a fancy restaurant) makes this place a definite return to restaurant.

I love coming here every week. The general manager or manager is really attentive. The cooks are great and the girls in front are great. I do like the self service option, but rather talk to someone to take my order.

It was my first time eating at CFG. It was amazing. I had the miso salmon salad, and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place. I also plan to go back in the near future. The only thing I didn't appreciate is that they pushed for me to order in the quiosk. I like to talk to somebody. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Food is really delicious and healthy if you don't get the fried stuff and they have healthy side choices to go with your meal, but a little bit on the pricey side unless you have a military card to get a discount a 15% which my friend does but I don't. If it's during the winter, you may want to take something to sit on because a lot of their chairs are like a cold metal surface unless you get a booth that has wood on it. The food took about 10 minutes for both my friends and for me because we ordered separately and got there at different times, but otherwise, everything was excellent. They also closed at 9:30 which was convenient because we had just attended a church event that ended at 8:00 so we still had time to grab a late healthy dinner. My mail came to $17 and some change... the grilled sea bass with grilled zucchini and a kale slaw. 😋 my friend ordered the fried cod with french fries and she let us taste it and it was delicious. my other friend ordered grilled zucchini and pinto beans and the beans were delicious and so was the zucchini since I had some of that.

Great place for family or friends, Great spot for a lunch date, and for coworkers to take a break. It’s a bit busy most of the time but the food does come out quickly and hot! Must try! I paid $45 for two entrees plus one appetizer.

1st time coming here and wow it's amazing! I had the Salmon specialty with the dynamite fries and it was very good! I have never had dynamite fies before and this was delicious! Pretty good service. To compare it to other dining facilities I would say the food ordering process is similar to a Baja Fresh restaurant but better. Cant wait to go back and try the other meals on the menu.

Absolutely amazing food here. I'm not really a fan of fish but this place changed my mind. The food here is really good and the sides are delicious 👌, I want to try 1 of every type of fish they have. If you're not sure of what sauce goes with a certain fish you can ask the clerk and they'll recommend a good pair with said fish. I tried the rockfish with BBQ sauce which was recommended and it was amazing. Please try if you're interested. Be warned, it's always packed.

New seafood place in the AV. Hooray!! We’ve been here twice in the last few days and each time has been delicious! The menu is pretty extensive so I want to come back and try their tacos and bowls. I’ve tried their shrimp plate and salmon plate. The giant shrimp was really good BUT it came with the shell on so it was an extremely messy albeit delicious. I love their rice too, it’s fluffy and good. Zucchini was ok, but kinda bland. Onto the salmon- it was pretty good but a little fishy. I squeezed on a lot of lemon juice and added extra sauce to it and it was perfect. If you like beans, you’ll enjoy theirs. The sauce it’s baked in has a little kick but it’s not spicy. Their prices are a little steep but it is seafood so it was expected. We spent about $38 for 2 adults with 2 drinks and a child’s plate which included a drink. Their child’s prices are very reasonable and I like that the menu includes chicken because I can’t get my daughter to eat fish yet. Service was friendly both times and the restaurant was clean. It was faster getting our food on a week night than on a weekend by a good 15 minutes. I’m happy this place opened up so close to where we live.

This place screams, family! From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted by one or more of the always friendly staff. Food is always delicious. Terrific choice no matter the occasion. Don't know what to order? They will suggest something or just bring you something. I haven't disliked anything yet and I make it a point to try a new dish every visit. Vic and Ray are wonderful and always have a smile for the customers. It's definitely my first choice!

The food is very good here. I always get a customized plate with the garlic shrimp skewers. Friendly staff, but seems understaffed. It is sometimes hard to place an order on the machines. Sometimes the tables are filled with people’s dishes and not always clean.

The food is fabulous, the drink selection is unique, the restroom is clean, and we often come here. The reason why I gave it 1 less star is because the cashier was fairly rude when we picked up the food. We had several plates to pick up (2 tray full), and a to go order. So, my husband and I picked up the trays and we were on our way back when she yelled, "Do you want your to go order?" rather curtly. As I was already on my way to pick it up, I did so, and sat back down. As we were eating, the servers were attentive and picked up our plates and cleaned our tables, and they were quite nice, so it was just the one server.

Great food 😋 not normally a long wait times - they seem to change the food often so there is normally new dishes to try every few months - most of the time the fish is cooked to perfection however there have been a few times when it was just way over cooked. The atmosphere is normally clean - parking is best if you park on the side and sometimes can be congested.

Casual place to eat with friends. I ordered the avocado salad bowl and my cousin ordered the salmon power bowl. I wanted something hearty, but light. The avocado salad bowl had a ton of vegetables with great plant-based protein such as pinto beans and brown rice. I added the tomatillo salsa we can ask the staff for and it was delicious, but not too heavy. The portions were much larger than I expected and we both only finished half and took the other half home.

A pleasurable dining experience, food was delicious , decor not exactly my taste. Cheerful staff Menu board is mounted so high that you get a pain in the neck while looking at it. We ordered a small bottle of (celebratory) Chardonnay w dinner.

Grilled salmon with garlic butter sauce! Roasted street corn was really tasty too. Brussel sprouts were too caramelized and blackened too much...but a friend assured me that they are usually quite good. Close to the 14 freeway! It can get busy around dinner time!

Pretty good salmon tacos, street corn was ok needs a cream sauce or something. Decent portions. They have a sign that tells you which fish are farmed & wild caught. A bit confusing because they have both wild & farmed salmon 🤷🏾‍♂️

To be able to order and receive tasty, fresh fish within 10-15min on a Friday night is an undervalued treat! Tonight I chose the Salmon Power Bowl, with an add-on of coconut shrimp ($3.99 as of the date of this post) and I was very impressed. It is not a heavy meal, but very satisfying. They crafted a wonderful blend of flavors; I chose the Cajun spice style and they topped it with a drizzle of crema. The brown rice, beans, edamame, diced tomatoes, and kale made for a very enjoy dish that I would order again and again. Now the Coconut Shrimp: it was heavy on the batter in my opinion- I want to taste the shrimp and coconut, dipped in the Hawaiian style glaze. I found it to be “mealy” and the seasonings took away from the coconut flavor profile (but, it was only 4 bucks, so, still worth it!)

Also there's nobody really in the front to take your order, you have to place it on the computer and it still asks if you want to leave a tip LOL FOR WHAT??!! I DID EVERYTHING MYSELF🤣 Also, having to enter your order through the computer can be difficult for the elderly and that's not fair to them. Please keep me workers in the front to take orders.

Good portions. Fries were oversalted. We had ordered fish and chips; it was OK. The major issue for me was the excess oil on my plate. If you have the downtime, don't rush the process. The oil wasn't very clean, by the way.

I love fish. I've been fortunate enough to have been able to know the difference between good food, bad food and middle of the road which is what we have here. At my table was white fish (baramundi) catfish and tuna. All 3 were average. The fish arrived on all 3 plates warm. Not hot. The kaleslaw salad was better than my seared tuna. I truly adored my server whom gave great service as well as advice on next time.

Great food at a great price. Easy to order online and everything was ready quickly. Our new favorite! UPDATE: 10/27/24 I was told that California Fish Grill no longer serves The Grilled Shrimp and they have no idea if/when they will again so I'm downgrading it a bit. Being able to have the Grilled Shrimp was a nice alternative to the less healthy deep fried shrimp. Still great food at a good price though. Hopefully they will bring it back as it was my favorite. See you again then.

Decided to do takeout and try California Fish Grill for the first time. The food looks NOTHING like the menu pictures.. which is aggravating because you think you’ll get something at least close to it! And idk if it’s different when you do takeout (I have to plug in Red lobster here because doing dine in and takeout there literally look the same and you don’t have to worry about smaller portions for the same price doing takeout) My review: we ordered the fish and calamari w side of Kaleslaw - (star of the meal) , fish and shrimp w roasted corn and a side of Asparagus. The calamari was very dry and felt like I was chewing forever, its little mini calamari sticks😫. The fish was ok as in edible but nothing spectacular, the shrimp was hard T chew and the corn definitely did not need cilantro in it. The best part of the order was the Kaleslaw as in I would stop by just to get a side of it by itself. Our orders came with your average fries. The Asparagus was extremely disgusting, it’s in a line vinaigarette sauce that overpowers it like they marinated it in the sauce for days and then just served it, we got a refund on the Asparagus & I’ll point out the customer service was excellent, maybe they’re happy to have customers? I will not be trying anything else there.

My mom ordered the fish and chips but got rice and pinto beans instead. They put the battered fish on top of the rice and it made the fish soggy and the breading in the fish became soggy..very disappointed with the fish but the beans were great

Really unfortunate they don't offer seating outside for people who need to wait for food. I expected 15 min wait, but took almost half hour to get food. I ordered a canned root beer to drink in my car, which is now Hot... they wouldn't give me a cold one since my food came out late... Poor service.

I have liked this location for 3 years, but something has changed. I always get the fish and chips. The last two visits the fish is over-breaded, darker in color and very crumbly as if using old oil or over-cooking, and just very unappealing. Sadly, I just can’t give them any more chances.

Once again they have changed their recipe! The fish tacos, and the fish and chips at one time were the best! But after having them tonight, i'm not sure I ever wanna return. The fish has changed, the batter has changed, the corn tortilla is dry and like cardboard. I hope they go back to using quality ingredients again.

This used to be one of my favorite places. I loved their fish. A month ago, we ordered a to go order that arrived inedible. I thought maybe it was just a bad night so tonight I tried again. I ordered 2 piece fish and chips. It took about 30 minutes for order to come up. The fish was overcooked and tough, dripping with oil. Fries would have been okay if they hadn't been cold. I hadn't eaten all day so I ate the fish, big mistake. Been sick to stomach since then. I don't understand how you go from very good to awful in a few short months. .

visiting on a job assignment from North Carolina, I was referred by a co-worker who lives here. This was supposed to be one of the best fish walk-in spots in town. have to say NOT impressed at all. Ordered salmon with garlic butter sauce from three other available sauces. bad choice on my part. The rice tasted like Uncle Ben's rice. You nuke in the microwave for 90 minutes. Salmon was dry and tasteless. Have to give them one star for the asparagus and corona the only thing that tasted right. ordered a to go plate of dynamite shrimp scared to explore it :) . I definitely will not be back and DO NOT recommend it to you or anyone else.

This was the worst salmon I have ever had it was the thinnest driest piece of fish I have ever had the order took 18 mins to come out and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant my wife got a Caesar salad and it was dry hardly any dressing the drink choices were a joke and so were the prices for a water I talked to the manager and told her how horrible of an experience it was and she offered to get me a free meal and I told her I would never eat here again even if it’s free this place is a disgrace

Totally unacceptable, what they are selling us is supposed to buy shrimp and this is an imitation of crab and with purple chemical and it tastes disgusting. I bought chicken tender and it’s disgusting. I also can't find the chicken protein. I don't know what a dirty thing it is...

The short lady who is a manger the one with the heavy accent is extremely rude. I don’t know if it’s her way of speaking but she talks like she hates giving service, or just hates dealing with SPECIFIC customers that aren’t Hispanic.always seems to have an attitude. the tall lady with short hair who is the GM is super nice when she wants to be but she seems like she hates her job and is in go mode; like she had to much caffeine. And is trying to get out of there Food was ok but my shrimp skewer felt undercooked and my fish was super slimy.had to get it remade.

Hmmmmm....it looked great, it smelled delicious but the fish (battered fish and chips) was soaked in oil. The calamari (breaded calamari plate) was flavorless.

Please, Managers cilantro isn't the same as parsley .This is the second time in different locations, or is the way you work when you don't have cilantro? I asked for cilantro, and I got parsley
