Avis sur Kirk's Steakburgers Palo Alto
I’ve been driving by this place for probably 20 years and finally dropped in for a burger. In fact, I had my first ice cream cone across the street in the early 90s. So I have countless memories wondering what these burgers tasted like. I got the avocado bacon on sourdough, what a treat. Fries were perfectly crispy and light. Loved every bite. I can’t say much about sports paraphernalia but there are lots of windows and great natural light inside. Staff was kind and helpful. Will be back next time I’m around!
My husband and I shared a delightful meal at Kirk's with our fur baby Bella. We were warmly greeted by Jean Paul and appreciated the menu options for our furry companion, who enjoyed the beef patty. The food was scrumptious, and the ambiance was spotless and inviting. Our experience was exceptional, thanks to Jean Paul's warm service, despite his recent foot injury. He made sure we had everything we needed and even prepared a mouthwatering cookies & cream milkshake. We enjoyed our meals and shared chips with queso (super yummy!). We're excited to come back! ✨ 11/14/2024- My husband and I returned to Kirk's, where we savored a slice of pepperoni pizza and a slice of margherita, accompanied by mozzarella sticks, a Philly cheesesteak burger, and a grilled chicken salad. The cuisine was exceptional, and the ambiance was equally impressive. We observed Jean Paul continuing to work diligently despite his injured foot. Keep up the great work!! We’ll be back!
Kirks is the best burger place around. After having tried Gotts, Super Duper, and The Melt. Kirks has something special. If you want a great experience I always go and see Freddy and Louis they are so kind and helpful. They are so knowledgeable about what tastes good with what. The both have made suggestions that have significantly improved my dining experience. I recently moved to the area and love this place. My only gripe is I should be able to DoorDash your pizza 🍕
Post-game or pre-game, this is our spot to eat in Palo Alto. They have inside and outside seating and great beer. The burgers are worth every penny! And they won’t break the bank. Try the parmesan garlic steak fries, amazing! Light on the garlic. I always rate a place on the basic and Kirks hits it out of the park. There special things are a hit too. Prices are a tad higher than another chain place but I’m willing to pay an extra .50 cents local quality and character. Read more reviews for other details, but pick this place if you are hungry now. Great service people too! 😎
Apparently they used to have super tasty potatoes wedges but they no longer do. However, the burgers was super tasty and the fries were still num num num tasty!! We’re totally coming back when we visit Stanford. We highly recommend this burger place if you are considering if this is the place to eat at.
Burgers were good, the Tot nachos with chili were great.

We’ve eaten here 2 or 3 times a month since February. The food is consistently very good. Beer and wine prices seem quite reasonable. You order at a counter and get your drink. When your food is ready, they bring it to your table. Maybe it’s 5 minutes to get a burger and fries. Perhaps the best part is that fries are ALWAYS hot! I can’t abide lukewarm fries you get in some fast casual places.
Easy ordering good burgers. The Cajun fries are very satisfying. Order at the window or with a QR code, plenty of screens to watch sports.
Went for lunch today and it wasn't too busy at noon so we were first in line to order and only one other couple behind us. Take note that because Paly High School is across the street at ~12:20 the kids came pouring into the restaurant. The line to order was now almost at the door. Our lunch was really good, we had a fried chicken sandwich and a steak sandwich made with a flank steak. The steak was a lot bigger than the roll.
Kirk's does good burgers with friendly staff but some small flaws. The burgers are medium size and perfectly prepared. They tend to fall apart, so be careful while eating. The fries are good but sometimes greasy, with a large feeding ~2 people. We found a hair in one burger, but overall the staff seem professional and tidy. The service is friendly and helpful. It was easy to set up tables for a party of 6, and they can always help while ordering. However, separate orders can come out at very separate times. One time, we had 4 orders (1-2 burgers and 1 side of fries each) for a group of 6. The last 3 came out within 10 minutes of each other, while the first order took an additional 15 minutes. We received coupons as an apology. During our second visit (2 orders with 2 burgers each), the second order came out 10 minutes before the first order. The restaurant is never crowded even during peak hours, and prices are reasonable for Palo Alto ($10 for large seasoned fries and $13 for most single burgers). Overall, I wouldn't complain if a friend wanted to go, but I'm not going out of my way again.
Avocado Bacon Burger, fries, onion rings. Apparently, there is a big rivalry with another burger joint nearby. This place was pretty good. Parking is pretty much a nightmare in this shopping center, as locals already know. The place was relatively clean. They were cleaning up tables as I arrived. Girl at the counter was very nice. The burger was probably 3.5 stars. Didn't notice the bacon at all. Hardly could tell their was avocado. The sauce was kinda like "fry sauce" meets thousand island dressing. I liked it a lot. The bun was nice bit felt like the bread to meat/toppings ratio was too high. The meat itself didn't have a lot of flavor but the texture was really soft with charred exterior. Fries and onion rings were both really good. Fries are at least 4 stars and the onion rings were 4.5. When I travel, I look for the best local burger place. This place didn't live up to the standard I am used to, but it was still pretty good. I think next time i am in town i will have to experiment on other places till i find the place that i know i will come back to. If i do come back, i will likely do the larger classic burger with the sides. Let me know where I should go next time I am near Stanford for a great burger.
I had the Big Kirk, which is a half pound patty served on a soft roll, and was juicy and delicious. Be forewarned that it's a big one as the name suggests, so only order it if you are super hungry. Excellent crisp on the garlic parmesan fries as well, which come loaded with the toppings. Definitely coming back when I have a burger craving in the area.

Went based on a recommendation. Had high hopes. Very spacious. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. Food looked tasty but upon eating there was no flavor. Burgers were bland. Sweet potato fries needed a sprinkle of sea salt. My hubby's bun was burnt, not edible. Surprised they would serve it. Two other people had semi burnt burgers but edible.
The place was amazing, with a small mom and pop shop feel to it. The lady who took my order was awesome. However when I got the food, the presentation was deceiving. There was so much left over grease that I had to get another holder for my burger. The bread on the bottom of the burger dissolved in a matter of minutes. The fries were decent, but not enough to save the overall experience of the meal. I would recommend this only if they can solve the over greasy burger in the future.
Kirk's burger and fries hit the spot, with some faults. 3.5 rounded down for me. While picking up some cookies in the plaza, we decided to have burgers for dinner! We've had Kirk's around Campbell before and I didn't remember it much, so I wanted a refresher. I got the mushroom burger, a chocolate shake, and loaded fries. Pros: The burgers are hefty and the char flavor on the burger patty is next level. The toppings/veggies are generous and fresh. The fries were nice and crispy, just the way I like it! Cons: Their milkshakes are pretty disappointing and too melty. The burger patties don't seem to be seasoned, which is a bummer. There were plenty of tables on a weekday night and parking can get tough on any given day.
The shakes were okay - didn't taste much of the flavor, though they were very sweet. The steakburgers were okay - nothing of particular note stood out. The garlic parmesan fries were saltier than expected.

meh . i mean its literally an overpriced in-an-out burger and nothing much more, unless you like some squishy “churro ends” for nine bucks or “cajun” fries for the similar price which is just your regular fries but sprinkled with some seasoning. service is non existent despite having servers there, for some reason i had to pay in one place but walk over and wait again at the bar for the drink, really? and why on earth i cant get fries and burger all at the same time ?
Low key authentic burger place with good burgers, fries, thick crisp onion rings. Avoid salads especially Thai beef which is just plenty of unflavored steamed thin beef slivers on iceberg with standard dressing and peanuts added. Milk shakes looked good. Sweet potato fries droopy but yummy.
Tri tip salad was a disappointment to say the least. Tri tip sandwich was just ok... fries should be included. Drinks were good. Didn't care for the ordering system... sit at the bar and you're set.

I’ve been coming to Kirk since I was a kid in San Jose on Bascom Avenue for over 50 years and also now in Palo Alto and got a to go order online - timely picked it up myself - unfortunately the sweet potato fries were not even warm they were limp as could be not crispy at all very unappetizing. The pineapple burger was decent, but unfortunately I have to leave a not so good review because when I called to tell the guy about it he just said thank you for telling me absolutely no customer service like We’ll make it better give you credit for next time Not sure if I’ll be back
Walk in and approach a cashier in front of a giant menu with the smallest print. There’s two tablets facing the customer, which one would assume would be self serve kiosks, but they do nothing except display a picture of a burger on a bun. I got a mushroom burger, tots, and a drink for $25. Tots are ok. The burger is raw and flavorless. There’s no bun, the burger is in a long bread roll. There’s pickles lettuce and tomato are falling all over the place, because it’s a senseless way to serve a sandwich. I don’t feel like finishing this weird long burger and I think I’m done with Kirk’s
The place has a nice ambiance overall, but the food quality leaves room for improvement. I ordered the Philly sandwich, and unfortunately, the meat was extremely chewy, which detracted from the experience.
Had a burger from here three times. First time, really good. Second time, the middle was still cold and raw in the middle when I bit into it. I tried it a third time thinking maybe i caught them on an off day last time. I recieved this mess of a burger that I'm afraid to even eat. Waste of money and cheat day, never getting this garbage again.
