Best Jamaican food this side of Jamaica! Friendly atmosphere, totally worth stopping in.
The best Caribbean taste of PCB: I recently visited Cool Runnings and was wowed by the authentic Jamaican flavors and warm hospitality. The menu offered a great variety of classic Jamaican dishes, and what we tried was absolutely delicious. The jerk chicken was perfectly spiced with a smoky, savory flavor, while the oxtail stew was tender, rich, and flavorful. The rice and peas and fried plantains made for the perfect side dishes. Against all odds, the staff were friendly and attentive, which does not go hand in hand with Jamaican restaurants, lmao. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, considering the quality of the food. If you're craving authentic Jamaican food with a welcoming vibe, Cool Runnings Caribbean Restaurant is the place to go. I can't wait to come back and try more from their menu. Respect!!!
Best Caribbean food we've had! Great flavors, not too spicy, juicy chicken, overall incredible food! This will be a regular stop for us from now on!
My food was amazing!! Tastee, the meat was tender.
It was nothing short of a hidden gem! This Jamaican restaurant truly captures the essence of authentic island cuisine with flavors that transport you straight to the heart of Jamaica. While this restaurant might not have the crowds it deserves, it’s clear that those who know about it come back for more. There is plenty of portion for the price. Definitely value for your money.
I am a pregnant resident of Panama City and I was craving Caribbean cuisine. I ordered the jerk chicken, rice and peas, fried plantains and slaw and it was so good! Flavors were on point. My husband even agreed that the food was really good. Definitely ordering again!
Wow! I heard about this place, I don't remember how. I don't know anyone else that's gone here yet. My buddy is in town visiting and wanted to try something he can't get in Pennsylvania. So we chanced it. It's a welcoming looking place from the outside with a nice big deck and plenty of outdoor seating. The ladies working were nice and welcomed us in. The menu was very promising as it only has a few items on it. I always like when food joints know what they are really good at and stick to it. My friend got the braised oxtail; I ordered the ackee and salted fish. The portions were large. The food was amazing. My friend is a chef and he wouldn't stop talking about how good it was. This place just went to top of my list. I will definitely be back!
I’ve been in town for over 2 weeks now for work! And each state that I visit I’m always looking for my roots, Jamaican Food! And this place felt like I was back at yard with their flavors!! Soup is AMAZING!!! , fried chicken delicious. My boyfriend and others enjoyed the jerk chicken and to top it off Geneva pleasant voice.. so sweet and welcoming I will definitely miss her custom service.
We have been in PCB for two weeks and finally stopped in and I’m so glad we did!! Everything was fresh and delicious! I had oxtails, rice and peas, and pasta salad. My husband had barbe fried chicken, rice and peas, and potato salad. The servings were huge and we had plenty to bring home and make another meal out of it! We are definitely going back to try out some other things on the menu!
This food was amazing, the service was good. Parking was crap. If you have a chance make your belly happy.
I discovered this place last year when I visited. It was so good then, I just knew I had to go again this go round. I love that they’ve remodeled. It looks great! I started off with a beef patty while my food was being prepared. It had good flavor and a nice flaky crust. Definitely had more room to be filled with more meat, but I’d eat it again as it comes. I also ordered a medium curry chicken and oxtail combo w/ cabbage & rice and beans. I didn’t like that there’s an up charge for rice and beans; otherwise it’s just plain white rice. Everything tasted great and was full of flavor. Well…everything but the rice and beans. It tasted pretty bland. Probably would have been much better had I remembered to request extra sauce from the entrees be poured over the rice. There was enough for my dinner tonight as well as another meal tomorrow. Definitely worth the money! *Still traumatized from my last visit* I do not recommend the potato salad.

Last year, I gave them 4 stars because they ran out of vegetables. This year, they had everything, and everything was delicious! 5 stars all the way, food, service, and atmosphere were on point. We ordered online and just picked it up, easy peasy!
The curry goat was amazing. Although it's a carrebean restaurant, as an Indian , I can feel some of the common flavours in both the cuisine and the difference between them. Will definitely come back again to enjoy another sumptuous meal at this restaurant.
I’ve ordered takeout from here multiple times and it’s officially my favorite restaurant in PCB. I often complain that restaurants in this area lack seasoning and the food is either fried or bland and I get it you have to cater to the tastes of the demographic you’re serving. This place ain’t that, this spot feels like there’s a couple of aunties in the back burning one and making that super fire spicy jerk. My lips tingle as I write this and I can’t wait to go back.
Family-Owned business. Food is fresh and made-to-order. I had the chicken patty and cabbage. Will be back to try additional menu items.
We came to visit Panama City Beach and enjoy some good cooking!! I was shocked and very pleased to find a familiar Caribbean restaurant. I used to go to “Cool Runnings” on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain, Georgia. I don’t know if it’s the same owner but the food was just as, or more delicious, than ever. I had the Jerk Chicken and it was delicious! The service was great, the lady at the front was friendly and polite. Thank you, Cool Running ~ See you next time.

Food was great! Good Jamaican vibe with the music
I did take-out, as opposed to dining in. I got Rice and Peas w/ Oxtail gravy, cabbage, fried Plantains, and 2 beef patties. I wanted to love it, but I couldn't. Maybe I didn't have the appetite for it like I thought? I don't know, but I did enjoy the Fried Plantains. Those were delicious. The rest, I wasn't a big fan. I liked the atmosphere and the location to the hotel I stayed in was perfect.
Food was ok and the prices weren’t bad. We ordered fried chicken, jerk chicken, curry goat, oxtail and the patties. Beef patty and curry chicken patties were very flavorful. The food was not the freshest though. The curry goat wasn’t tender enough but the flavor was ok. The jerk chicken lacked flavor and tasted like it had been sitting for while or had been reheated. There was not enough gravy on the rice either. The oxtail was ok. It lacked in flavor a bit. The rice and peas was ok. The best part of the meals was the cabbage. The cabbage was very good! I also think they should include the plantain with every meal which is traditionally how I’ve seen Jamaican food served. They charge for a side of plantain here. Overall the food was ok. Not the best but not the worst. Customer service was great. I also like that they had traditional Jamaican snacks you could buy. It was very nostalgic for me.
Stopped in here for a snack we didn’t order much as we didn’t want anything too heavy. We ordered 2 beef patties and a piece of coco bread. We waited 15 mins to be served the 2 beef patties that were waiting & already ready as well as the coocbread. Service was slow and the beef in the patties lacked flavor / seasoning.

Food was tasty 5/5. Serving size on the small side. The protein was very small in portion. Potato salad is actually mashed potato with mixed vegetables...really disappointed. As Jamaicans...you guys should know to do potato salad the correct way. Wth ! Festival was refried....so they were extra brown and crispy. They did taste good though, good comeback. I love supporting my yardie restaurants but when they are not up to par...I have to speak my truth. Tip...get more help. Get rid if the shop items in the store front lobby...your audience not buying that stuff. Move it out the way. Put up tourist stuff...t-shirts and souvenirs that they might be more interested in. Yard ppl can see the yard food from behind the counter and order accordingly. I will be back...hopefully by then the potato salad will not be powdered mash potato turn into that hot mess. And mi waan more meat fi mi money. One love.

Decided to give this restaurant a try again, but they did me wrong, ordered a large fry chicken, added extra fry chicken and this is what I got 🤣😭 nothing but bones 😭
My family and I were visiting from out of state on vacation. Decided we wanted to try Jamaican cuisine out. Called to order and boyyyyyy was the guy that answered the phone RUDE!!! He rushed us, kept cutting us off and sighing heavily. We definitely confronted him about that. The outside of the building is beautiful but the inside is so dark and dreary. The food came out about 20 minutes after we made it. Piping hot,I give them that. It was very good. Seasoned well but my chicken was very old and dry. .5 out of 10. Definitely not going back.

The service was horrible. They put potatoes in their oxtail to make it seems plentiful. The “manager”did not want to give a refund. the rice was dry and they have no good side choices. They are rude and unprofessional. If I could give a 0 star I would.
