Avis sur Ichima Sushi Pasadena
We tried five different dishes and they were all very good. The service was friendly and attentive. The interior seems a bit dated but the fish seemed fresh and will prepared. Their prices seem a little higher than other sushi restaurants in the area but we will go back again.
Celebrated my birthday with 10 friends at Ichima. The sushi rolls are always fresh & delicious. They work real hard for big parties. You won't be disappointed. We moved 60 miles away but I wanted my birthday celebration here.
The food was absolutely delicious! The service was great and not pushy at all like other places.
Have been a fan of Ichima ever since I sat down the first time on my first visit. Hands down the best sushi in the San Gabriel Valley, with nice staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Heck, when I went here during the COVID ages of 2020, and everyone was sitting outside on a makeshift patio in the parking lot, the staff continued to be welcoming. Ichima will always be the go to sushi place for me in Pasadena.
We were a fairly large party and the staff and service were on point the entire afternoon. I had the bento box with teriyaki salmon. Most places overcook it, but the salmon at Ichima was moist and delicious. The spicy tuna roll was also fantastic.
The food is always great! This last visit, even the service was great. Usually, they are so busy that it's difficult to get our server's attention, and they don't bother to come check on us to see if we need anything. I was pleasantly surprised this time. The lady was refilling our glasses before we even asked. She brought us napkins after 1 request. She didn't pout over the fact that we asked her for something. The food is always fresh and tasty, which is what keeps us coming back. 👌 They do tend to have a wait to be seated, but it's never more than 15-20minutes, and I am always there with a group of at least 5-6 people. I definitely recommend Yellow Sunset, Coral Reef Roll & Blue Crab Roll. If not a sushi fan, the Bento Box meals are good, too. There's options for every palate. You won't regret it.
Went there on a busy night to celebrate a graduation, party of 3. We waited about 40min. We got seated right under a vent which was blowing cold air, which my friend didn’t mind because he runs hot. Service was pleasant but a little slow (as I mentioned it was very busy so I understand). I am vegetarian and was not sure what to eat, there is not clear sign on the menu, but the waitress was helpful and I ended up having a great meal. My wife and our friends were also very happy with their selection except for the salmon steak that was dry and not so flavorful.
Shashimi Salad is the way to go if you are looking for something light and delicious. This place can get busy though so if you go during peak hours(noon and after 6) there can be a wait. The salad is a good togo option too. It will run you about 12 to 13 dollars. The spider roll is also pretty good. Overall a pretty solid 🍣 place.
My first time going and the food was delicious. The service is excellent and the servers are very friendly. Highly recommend it. I got a bento box with Salmon Teriyaki, spicy tuna roll and gyozas. The special roll I got is called the Bora Bora. (Inside: crab, cucumbers and shrimp tempura. Outside: spicy tuna, and two different sauces on the side for dipping) I got a limonade too, really good not to sour, perfectly sweetened.
Great sushi place. Fast table service. Portions are generous. Big menu to choose from. Parking might be tough, because there are plenty of other businesses in the same Parking lot. There is typically a wait during dinner, so expect to wait about 20 minutes. I recommend the two or three item bento. Thank you everyone for reading my review. Please follow me on Google maps, and check out all the great places I visit.
Ichima is my family's go to Sushi restaurant for the past 14 years. Have seen alot of new employees, but all are very friendly. The cost have gone up slightly, but we love to support them. With the pendamic, I'm sure all restaurants have struggled. If you L❤ve Sushi 🍣 😋 😍, give Ichima a try.
New favorite sushi spot! My experience here was nothing but comforting and relaxing the entire time. Food and service were both fantastic, the great fatty tuna roll is a must try! Will definitely be coming back, thank you!
First time at the restaurant and it was amazing. Service and the food was top notch. Only suggestion was the air condition was to cold. I noticed other guests were cold like myself. I forgot to bring my sweater but my daughter and her boyfriend said it’s not that cold. You can say there regulars. But as we left they even said it’s never been that cold. I definitely will be back and I will bring a sweater.
This place is amazing, we got seated right by away and served promptly. The food was very fresh and delicious. Definitely adding this restaurant to our to-go-to places for sushi.
This place is Amazing ♥️♥️ The food is Amazing, the service is even more amazing - er-er..... The portions are very plentiful and the drinks are delicious.
Everything was perfect. We had our own carafe of ice water with lemon. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. Sushi looked and tasted fresh. We asked to pack up the rest and our to go bag came with a pre packed ginger and wasabi with chopsticks and soy sauce packets for later!
Always fresh and really large Rolls. I don't know how they use the same Soy Paper like other Sushi restaurants, yet their Rolls are appreciably larger! Also very vibrant colors for their fish..it speaks to the quality of their product to me. Also I can have Leftovers and the next day tastes like the previous day. Yes, even the rice is not hard, again speaks to quality and original freshness! Only issue, extra Ginger is a modest charge (for Take Out); I'd rather they skimp on those Wooden solid quality Chop Sticks and not charge for ginger. Again, that's just me! You MUST try the Ahi Tuna Steaks with a large amount of Fresh Guacamole!!! (See picture) All in all, always busy, crowded often only speaks to their popularity! We all can't be wrong! 5 Stars and my Highest recommendation! 🍤🍣
I have been coming here for years and the quality is still amazing! Love the atmosphere and food is delicious. I love the shusi tacos and tried their cheesy dynamite appetizer. Both were very good, especially with some rice and spicy mayo. Service can be slow at times, but you never feel rushed.
Seriously good fresh sushi . It was a family dinner treat . The presentation was beautiful. A bit loud and lively - slightly feeling crowded on a Friday night though - would prefer going on a quieter night to really enjoy the meal and to be able to have conversations. On site Parking available too.
All items were fresh and tasty. We had the diner roll, the crunch roll, the crab roll and other items. The tempura was also nice and the miso soup was complimentary. We had a great time enjoying the food and our conversation. The service was quick but not too friendly, just ok service.
(7/8/2023) Service was excellent and friendly that always helping us to refill our drinks. For the food, Chirashi Bowl was good because sashimi was fresh. Also, Cheese Katsu Curry was really big portion, and Katsu was delicious as well. Lobster Roll was my coworkers favorite because it was delicious, and it was worth the price. I recommended Saba and Salmon Belly Sushi because it was fresh, and these Nigiri made my mouth water. Overall, Coworkers wanted to come back here again, and this place was one of my sushi list in my opinion.
Glad we came for lunch here as the next door Kabuki had a long wait. The bento lunch choices are fantastic and a good deal. Many combination selections for the bento boxes. I had teriyaki chicken with California roll while my wife ordered their teriyaki chicken with spicy tuna sushi and tempura. Both orders were prepared in a bento box with salad and miso soup to with the lunch main selections. The chicken was very tender and tasty. The teriyaki sauce was right on the note with sweetness and saltiness. I love their California roll. I felt this is better than the one from next door. Even though we didn’t have a chance to try out their sashimi, they looked amazing from the food in the next table. We will definitely come back to try them out. The sashimi prices on the menu seemed to be reasonable. Right now, the restaurants till offers outdoor dining only.
My favorite Japanese food ever! Lunch special with 2 item choice is AWESOME! The teriyaki chicken is delicious with a lot of chicken the only thing is I would order the teriyaki on the side they tend to put it on pretty heavy and it's very sweet I recommend that you try for dessert the fried ice cream for $4.95 it can feed easily three people and is absolutely delicious!
The food’s great and the service is awesome. Love that they give you a a big bottle or water and miso soup in the beginning.
📍Los Angeles | Pasadena’s Ultimate Sushi Spot – Ichima Hidden on Rosemead Blvd in Pasadena is a true hidden gem for sushi lovers: Ichima Japanese Restaurant 🍣✨ 📍Address: 325 N Rosemead Blvd, Pasadena, CA From the moment you step inside, the cozy wooden furniture and warm lighting instantly create a peaceful, almost nostalgic vibe. It’s quiet, elegant, and perfect for enjoying high-quality Japanese cuisine with a touch of ritual. Here’s what we tried (and totally recommend!): 🍱 Must-Try Dishes 1️⃣ Deluxe Sashimi Platter – A massive plate of premium sashimi so fresh it practically dances in your mouth. Featuring salmon, tuna, sweet shrimp, sea urchin, caviar, oysters, snapper, salmon roe… all beautifully arranged with twigs and flowers like edible art. Perfect for your IG feed 📸 2️⃣ Seared Salmon Roll – Lightly torched for that smoky aroma, with a special house sauce. One bite and you’ll be hooked. 3️⃣ Shrimp Tempura Roll – Crispy on the outside, soft and juicy inside, perfectly balanced with a sweet-savory glaze. 🍵 Plus: their miso soup, pickled radish, and side dishes are all delicately prepared. Every detail feels thoughtful and refined. 👨🍳 The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable—they’ll even recommend seasonal seafood options. Whether you’re out with friends, on a date, or dining solo, Ichima gives you that slow, satisfying food experience. 📝 Tips Before You Go • Definitely make a reservation—it fills up fast at dinner time • Bring your camera! The food is seriously photogenic • Average spending is around $50–$80 per person, and worth every penny for the quality ✨ If you’re into beautifully presented, high-quality Japanese food, Ichima in Pasadena is a must-visit!
Suddenly remembered that I had seen information about this restaurant before, so I decided to give it a try today. The exterior of the restaurant has a sense of history, while the interior is clean and tidy. The menu offers a wide variety of options. Today, we ordered udon, fried noodles, some snacks, and fish. The taste was great, the prices were very reasonable and the service was friendly.
Stopped by iChima and was blown away, especially by the fatty tuna roll. Every roll we tried was fresh and delicious, but that fatty tuna was on another level. Rich, buttery, and perfectly balanced, it was easily the standout. The rest of the menu held up strong, but that one roll alone will have me coming back. Highly recommended if you’re a tuna fan.
A great place to visit for sushi craving. Their sushi has a great variety, from rich flavored eel, to just fresh salmon. The customer service do treat their guests with open-arms. And they do have some great birthday guest treatments XD. The restaurant lighting is pretty good for pictures. Trust me when I say that I am satisfied with my pictures for the food based on how they placed and the lighting. Just be nice to the waiters here if you come in as a big group (prefer reserve your seats if you are coming here)and have a great experience with the sushi 🍣
Stopped by Ichima and happened to catch their Halloween event—such a fun surprise! We were treated to a complimentary drink and a little “cheese bomb” snack, which set the tone for a great meal. The sushi was incredibly fresh and the uni was buttery and sweet, just perfect as always. Friendly service and a lively atmosphere, too. Ichima never disappoints—I left so happy and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
I had such a great experience at Ichima! The Toro & Uni Don was super fresh — the fish melted in your mouth and the portion was generous. The Uni Scramble Toast was really special and unlike anything I’ve had before — creamy, rich, and full of umami flavor. The presentation was beautiful too. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt cozy and authentic. Definitely one of my top recommend sushi spots in town!
Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The uni scramble toast was a standout – rich, buttery uni over soft scrambled eggs on perfectly toasted bread. It was indulgent without being overpowering – a must-try dish! The chirashi bowl was generous and packed with a vibrant variety of sashimi cuts over perfectly seasoned sushi rice. Each bite was balanced and satisfying. We also had the assorted sashimi, which showcased the quality of their fish – melt-in-your-mouth texture and delicate flavor in every piece. Service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere felt both relaxed and refined. Ichima is definitely one of my new go-to spots for sushi in Pasadena. Highly recommend!
🥝 Kiwi Scallops Whoever came up with this combo is a genius! The sweet golden kiwi and fresh scallops are a perfect match—big, juicy bites that I’d happily recreate myself. 🌼 Uni Egg Toast Fresh uni, soft scrambled eggs, a hint of caviar, and buttery crispy toast—simple but unforgettable. 🍲 Veggie Udon Hotpot Light, flavorful broth with fresh veggies and beef essence. Udon was silky smooth—comforting and satisfying. 🦞 Crawfish Sushi Roll Loaded with crawfish, teriyaki, mayo, and avocado—classic and still so good! 🍣 Toro / Salmon / Yellowtail / Snow Crab Sushi All super fresh. The yellowtail belly was rich like ootoro. Salmon belly, toro, and snow crab were spot-on. ⸻ Great food and lovely ambiance. Slightly pricey, but worth it—and plenty of parking
I’m honestly not sure how we didn’t find this place sooner! what a gem! The sushi was AMAZING. We had the Crunch Roll, and it was seriously one of the best I’ve had in LA. The rolls were huge. I couldn’t even fit a whole piece in one bite! My husband got the beef teriyaki, and it was so good—super flavorful, juicy, and tender. We came in pretty late, almost the last customers on a busy Friday night, but the staff were still super friendly and welcoming. It was around 10:00 PM and they didn’t make us feel rushed at all. We’ll definitely be back soon!
Ichima is a Japanese restaurant that I would like to come back to again. Whether it is the freshness of the ingredients, the creative combination, or the exquisiteness of the plating, I feel that they are very attentive. What's more rare is that this kind of high-quality Japanese food is still reasonable per capita in a location like Pasadena, which is absolutely the king of cost-effectiveness! If you like to eat sashimi like me or want to try some special and creative Japanese food, I strongly recommend you to give it a try
A Must-Try Sushi Spot in Pasadena! Ichima Sushi truly lives up to the hype! The sashimi is incredibly fresh, melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and generously portioned. The Umi Sashimi Platter (24 pieces of chef’s choice sashimi) was an absolute standout—each piece was buttery, creamy, and bursting with flavor. The salmon and yellowtail, in particular, were phenomenal. The uni (sea urchin) was hands down the best I’ve had—sweet, fresh, and sourced from Santa Barbara. If you’re a fan of uni, this is a must-order. Their rolls are massive and packed with fresh ingredients, making them a great value. I tried two rolls and some nigiri, and everything was top-notch. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere. The staff is friendly, attentive, and provides excellent service, making it an enjoyable experience from start to finish. It’s also a fantastic spot for celebrations—the lively ambiance makes birthdays and special occasions extra fun. If you’re a sashimi lover, Ichima Sushi is a must-visit. With generous portions, fresh high-quality ingredients, and great value, it’s easily one of the best sushi spots in town! Highly recommend the Umi Sashimi Platter and Uni nigiri. Would definitely return! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely wonderful! The environment is clean and tidy a comfortable dining experience. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. It's a perfect spot for celebrating birthdays, with a lively and festive atmosphere. The sashimi is exceptionally fresh and delicious, making every bite a delight. Highly recommended✨🥰
5/5 – Amazing Sashimi & Unique Dishes! Stumbled upon this Japanese restaurant after a Whole Foods run, and what a pleasant surprise! The Sakana Sashimi set was the highlight—15 ultra-thick slices of high-quality fish, packed with incredible flavor and rich oiliness. Absolutely worth it! The Sakura Sushi Combination was decent, but given the price, I’d go for the sashimi again. Tried Ankimo (monkfish liver) for the first time, and it was way better than expected—creamy, not fishy, and perfectly balanced with yuzu sauce. The Hotate Crudo was another standout—golden kiwi, scallops, and yuzu sauce created a unique, fresh, and sweet combo. For sushi, Yellowtail Belly was the best—so buttery and flavorful! Generous portions, fresh ingredients, and great value—highly recommend, especially for sashimi lovers!
I was surprised by their fishes!!! Their sashimi and sushi were soooooooooo gooooood!!! Having tried many sushi places, I can confidently say that they are tier one! If you were a sashimi fan, you have to get Umi Sashimi and all kinds of sushi! Try many fishes at one time! The Taheati roll is so interesting and tastes so good, especially with the fried onion topping!! We also love the spicy tuna tartare, grilled unagi, and takoyaki! Everything is so good! Services are good too! A nice sushi place with old school vibe! Will come back soon!
Great experience! The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. The food was beautifully presented and of excellent quality. I especially loved the Sammy Salmon and Soft Shell Crab—both were absolutely delicious! The sushi rolls were fantastic, with the Heart Attack Roll being a standout. Highly recommend for anyone craving fresh and flavorful Japanese cuisine!
No doubt, the food is excellent. Unfortunately, I felt that the servers either didn't understand English, were too busy to listen to your instructions, or didn't care. Actually, they were doing us a favor by serving us food.
Ichima is my go-to sushi spot in the greater area. Good sushi and teriyaki, reasonable prices and a good staff. It's easy to spend a lot more than they charge for a disappointing meal. They've found a good mix of what I care about for a sushi night.
Very fresh and tasty fish. Excellent spicy tuna salad. Great dynamite sushi roll. Excellent overall for 1st visit
Ordered the bento combo 3 item to go and wow that was alot alot of food! I'm so used to being stiffed at sushi joints when I get takeout but this place rules. Service in front is really nice, while I waited it got really packed. Had some other food to pick up afterwards and by the time I got home everything was still fresh so kudos in pkging. Will be back again
I forgot to take a photo of the food, but the bento box was just average. The sashimi and uni were fresh and delicious, though. The staff were extremely busy serving, which might explain why they seemed a bit robotic. Overall, it was a decent meal.
Very nice staff. Attentive and fast service. It is a popular spot, and can build a pretty significant wait. I would recommend coming early, and getting food to go! It’s a larger restaurant. Pretty extensive East Asian cuisine menu. Sushi was solid, but not the tastiest/top tier quality, but great for the price, and serving sizes were awesome. Teriyaki beef was slightly above average. Beef quality was a little low, but the grilled onions were good. Plenty of signature/specialty rolls. Complimentary miso soup. Parking lot out front.
Kabuki is still my favorite, but we go here from time to time. I'm still trying new things here and hope to find my favorites like I have at Kabuki. Don't get me wrong, great sushi here, too. There is plenty of seating, and the food comes out quick. Everything is always spot on, just as described.
Depending on when you go, getting a table can be difficult. The whole party needs to be there, this is noted, but for some reason, people don't get this policy. Parking can be challenging since it shares the lot with a gym and a bowling alley. Service is quick and fast once you are seated and ordered. Getting your name on the list can be frustrating since patrons don't seem to understand the concept of lines and just walk up to the hostess when others are waiting to add their names to the wait list.
We needed to go back to have their fresh sushi and sashimi and nicely prepared bentos. The sashimi deluxe, spider roll and uni are my family’s go to. We tried several appetizers today. The spicy tuna on crispy rice, fried soft shell crab, shrimp and mix tempura are delicious. The takoyaki with octopus is underwhelming. Service was excellent despite the peak hour.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Quality of sushi is amazing! Would def come back! AMBIANCE: Casual. Noise level is average. Placement of the hanging lights were a bit low (my dad hit his head on them twice while getting in the booth, may be best to consider hanging them higher?). DRESS CODE: Casual MENU OPTIONS: great selection of sushi, rolls, salads, and bento boxes and other cooked food (for non-sushi lovers) SERVICE: Service was just ok. They bring edamame for the table, but for a table of 6, only brought one. When we asked for another, they said it's one one per table (whether you're a party of 2 or a party of 12...). Logically, that doesn't make sense, but ok... PRICE: Really depends on how hungry you are. But the price is reasonable for the quality. PARKING: Open lot, next to Bowlero and back of Ralphs. Food: 5/5 stars Service: 3.5/5 stars Venue: 4/5
What else can I say? Good food. Reasonable prices. Great service. The trifecta is what I experienced here and, even though this is out of my way, it was worth the travel time. My bento box lunch included succulent teriyaki chicken, fresh-tasting California roll, salad, miso soup, and crispy Tempura, all of which was good for under $20 and served within 10 minutes of ordering. I will be back to try more soon.
You get what you pay. Being spoiled by fresh fish in Japan and some decent Japanese restaurants. The sashimi in the Bento...🧐. They cut in big pieces but not from what I expected. It's okay. No need to put high expectations from a Bento box. Be fair! The waiter .. he's a nice guy but work slow and didn't listen clearly.
Came here on a Thursday afternoon with my mom for lunch. She's been telling me how their bento boxes are a great lunch deal, since she had it for lunch a week prior. Despite the restrictions of letting patrons dine indoors being lifted to 50% capacity, Ichima has not prepared itself for indoor dining at the moment. Everything is currently outdoors underneath their large canopy tent. The tables are spaced out far enough between other tables that you're not in close proximity between other guests. Getting to the food, we both ordered a bento combination for lunch. My mom had their Teriyaki Salmon, California roll, and Mixed Tempura. I ordered the Pork Cutlet, Spicy Tuna Roll and Mixed Tempura. We both ended up packing most of it to-go because the amount of food they give you is ridiculous. Both our lunch were scrumptious and worth the $13.25 per combination. You can literally portion this meal out for lunch and dinner. It's no wonder America has a obesity problem because of the large portions we're given. When I went to Japan right before Covid came to the states, my meals in Japan were a quarter of the size of what I was given for lunch here and that still filled me up. It may seem like I'm complaining about their portions but I'm just stating that your meal can easily be two separate meals, unless you're truly hungry and demolish the entire thing. Definitely give this spot a try if you're in the area and craving Japanese food because you can't go wrong with their dishes. The servers are welcoming as well and do their very best in giving you the pre-covid dining experience.
*Slow start-stellar sushi* First impressions weren’t great—the building looks tired, and it took a while to be seated and served. Once the food arrived, the sushi was excellent: very fresh fish and on-point cuts, easily some of the best we’ve had recently. The appetizer didn’t hit the same mark, so I’d focus on the sushi menu. Overall, a diamond-in-the-rough experience: weak ambiance and slow service, but the fish quality wins. I’d visit again if I’m nearby.
Stopped by this place for a quick bite. They are located in a big plaza with Ralph's and LA Fitness. It is easy to miss this place as they are located behind Ralph's. Ordered Salmon Carpaccio and spider roll. I like Salmon Carpaccio. They put fires garlic on top of the salmon along with fish roll and green onion! It was very flavorful! The spider roll is decent. Price and service are reasonable! Will come back for sure! Came here for a quick dinner as I was hungry. This place is very popular, and it was almost fully by 6pm. I ordered the dinner bento 3 items: salmon teriyaki, sashimi, and mix tempura. The meat was cold. The teriyaki sauce tasted artificial and thick. It feels like it was sauce from a bottle instead of made from scratch. The tempura does not taste fresh. A bit disappointed. Service was slow. Plenty of parking spaces are available. Price was reasonable.
This sushi restaurant was quite underwhelming in terms of the quality of the fish being served. The fish did not seem fresh, and the taste was not pleasing. I got the chirashi bowl while others got the sashimi combo a and a hungry roll. The hungry roll tasted okay, but the sashimi pieces and my chirashi bowl did not meet up to our expectations. The staff were pretty attentive though.
Had a 5 🌟 review from 6 years ago. But deleted that. Very unfortunate 😕 did the management change? The food is not the same. Portion, quality, taste... nothing is as good as it was. Now, it is the ordinary low quality japanese restaurant around every other corner in town.
We used to visit this restaurant consistently until Covid. The service and food have gone down considerably. We dont think we will be coming to this place anymore... sad.
We’ve been coming to ichima wayyyy before when they had two previous owners. My entire family knows the chefs and workers. We came in, three of us to sit at the bar for my mom’s birthday. The lady who works in the front said only 2 can sit together and 1 person has to sit far from us. Therefore 3 of us won’t even be sitting together at the bar because they have these white strips on the table for the waitresses to grab the food from the sushi chef. Okay… NO ONE was sitting at the bar, she could’ve easily just took one extra step to grab the food from both sides of us if we sat together. MADE NO SENSE. It was like talking to a 3 year old. Even the guy working thought this was insanity and we should just sit together. My family and I will never come here again, what a joke. Mind you.. we spend A LOT of money every time we come so whoever hired this new girl to work needs to re think their decision.
I have been eating here for more than 3 years, everything is Average , nothing spectacular but the Lunch Bento 2 items combo was great, only 19.99...Lately no longer the case it went from 19.99 to about 29 with tax...this price no longer attract me so it is time to find other place. Go Icho Izakaya $16 only not $29
The salmon sashimi we ordered was old and stinky. They put lemon on it to cover the scent but we could tell as soon as we opened the container. We didn’t eat it and called to complain. We ate the sushi thinking it would be ok. My husband threw up and my stomach aches. Do not eat here and risk your health!
The service here is shockingly poor. Staff seemed annoyed from the moment we arrived, avoided eye contact, and ignored us unless we waved them down. It genuinely felt like they were purposely avoiding providing basic service. To top it off, they automatically added an 18% tip for a so-called “large” party of just five people, despite the fact that the service was awful. The food itself was good, but the unpleasant and unprofessional service completely ruined the experience. I honestly don’t understand how this place is still operating with customer treatment like this.
The quality of food is just OK, the price is a bit above average. Especially, the hot tea is just like water and they charge you $2.95. The services are not that good and you have to keep asking for services while waiter and waitresses are wandering around and they don't see you waving them for services. I did not visit this place for the past 10 months, I went again and my experience was the same. We found another ridiculous issue again. They preset 18% tip on the total tips for a table of 5 people and dare to ask for an additional 2%, 3%, 5%, 7% or no tips while asking for your signature on their handheld credit card machine. Usually, the preset tips is for 6 or 8 more people in other restaurant. I came home and found out that the total tips charged to me is 20%, not 18% as stated on the receipt, that including the total food price and Sales Tax. I don't understand why we need to pay any tip on the Sales Tax which is a Trust Fund to be remitted to the government. Please see the attached receipt which I blocked my personal info on the attached receipt. This is a total rip off, be very careful !!!!
I've been to many sushi restaurants, but I've never experienced anything like this one. Right from the start, the ingredients looked visibly unfresh—the fish looked dull and smelled off. The rice was hard and cold, completely ruining the sushi experience. Worst of all, on my way home, I started having intense stomach pain, and I'm quite sure it was from the food. It made me feel seriously unwell. This place clearly has issues with food quality and safety
