Family owned. Super friendly, helpful staff. The food was delicious!! The Chile Verde Omelet - so flavorful. The hash brown were not greasy at all. Definitely recommend!
Such a cool atmosphere! And down home diner food is really great! Fresh ingredients for sure!
We took a wrong turn but something amazing happened. I was a bit peckish so we stopped to find a place to eat & found a true gem. Had a delicious late breakfast/lunch thanks to super staff (thank you Debbie) and oh, the food, the food was smashing! Gravy & biscuits, and chicken fried steak. Come in and eat. Just like an old Western movie (which was playing on the screen over our table) Cowgirl Cafe in Paso Robles off 13th Street is a trip back in time to when cowboys were young in the Old West. And #cowgirls? They're saddled up and running the town.
Great place for breakfast in Paso Robles. You know it's good if a lot of locals are there too! Cowboy ambiance. Good breakfast comfort food, friendly service and homemade salsa. Yup, beverages like iced tea and OJ are served in Mason jars. Strong coffee. Nothing fancy, just good ol' American breakfast plates. Dog friendly on the outside.
Impressed by this place. First off, the food (breakfast tried) is excellent. Not to mention the friendly customer service. Service on point, my coffee mug is always full. Didn't have to ask, they will refill it. I had to refuse at one point LOL. Those little things will make your breakfast experience delightful. Way to start the morning by having great breakfast experience at this place. I'm pretty sure LOCALs know this place by heart. If you are visiting and somewhere near the area looking for a cool place to eat, try this place out. 5 Star for sure.
We had one of the best experiences we’ve had in a long time. The service was absolutely outstanding—every staff member was welcoming and attentive, making us feel truly comfortable and valued. We felt embraced and respected, which meant so much to us. The cooks deserve special recognition as well; their diligence and care in preparing the food shone through in every dish. This place not only serves great food but also delivers an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. Highly recommend!
The staff were sooooo sweet to my kids, especially in accommodating their last minute change in order (to get the most incredible hot chocolate)! Family friendly environment, delicious food, and fast, friendly service. We love it here!
Hell, yeah this place! Great breakfast/brunch spot, me and my husband tried and it was great! The food was very tasty and they made a home made sauce that’s it’s delicious! (ask for it) Our server was super nice she was the one told us about the homemade sauce. The place it’s meant to be for everybody, the bathroom is nice and clean, the decorations are incredible and the whole vibe is amazing! Definitely try this place!
While going on a golfing trip to Avila Beach I looked up a place for us to have breakfast and this place is what I felt in my heart. My friend had the huge breakfast burrito while I had pancakes smothered in butter and drowned in syrup. I really enjoyed this place friendly service and top of line food. If ever in the area try them out I bet you'll love it.
Old town cafe that offers wide range of breakfast and lunch on the menu you definitely won’t go away hungry. The café is exactly like you would picture a Hometown Café and a rural community The waitresses are friendly and attentive. Although it wasn’t very busy, food came in a timely manner. Next time I’m passing through Paso I’ll definitely be making a stop here
Visited 26 July 2022, second visit Daniel greeted and seated us, then got our coffee, tea, and water started before our waitress got to us. Our waitress, Beverly was on point. For our party of seven, she took each order effortlessly, and had no problem adjusting when someone changed their mind to get something else. I had the chorizo & eggs with home fries, wheat toast, and a side of avocado, and coffee. The coffee was thick(!). I had it black and it was sooo smooth without being bitter. I didn't even need to add anything. As soon as it was near half, one of the waitstaff was coming around offering refills. Similar to my first visit, food was great. Service was equally excellent and the waitstaff was very attentive. Highly recommend. ----- Visited 18 July 2022, first visit Breakfast was great. I got the French toast combination, which come with choice of 2x eggs, and bacon or sausage. I chose bacon. And added a side of avocado (I loooove avocado and always, always add it if available). $14.95 + My friend got the chorizo & eggs, with hash browns, and sourdough bread. $15.95. We both enjoyed our meals and was so stuffed after eating that we decided to take a walk afterwards. Not listed on the menu are orange & cranberry mimosa and bloody Mary. I got the cranberry mimosa and it was good too. My friend wanted a beer but they either didn't have any or the first server, a male, didn't understand what my friend asked. Our waitress, Debbie, was friendly and attentive. After taking our order, the food came out fairly quickly. She checked on us to make sure everything was good, then brought our bill once she noticed we were done eating. Overall, the food was great. We just wished they had more alcoholic beverages to choose from.
A nice little local diner that has some pretty good breakfast! The staff was friendly, attentive and knew some of the regulars by name. There is outside, inside and bar seating. I had the Biscuits and Gravy platter that came with hashbrowns or fried potatoes and a side of sunny-side eggs. It was pretty tasty, the gravy was good and the biscuits were a good size. The eggs were good too, sometimes it's easy to mess up something simple. I had some coffee too, it was pretty good and I don't think my cup ever got past half empty! All in all, it's a good place for a nice sit-down meal and I'll more than likely be back!
we stayed the weekend in paso robles and were looking for a place to eat breakfast and came across this spot. It's a cool concept. Everything is cowboy/cowgirl style decor. I'll be completely honest when I'm out on vacation. I expect to have a good experience wherever we go or eat. unfortunately, it doesn't always work out that way. this place was just that. everything we had was something we could make at home. there was no wow effect. coffee was plain, no actual good taste, no vanilla creamer. the breakfast burrito had no flavor and wasn't properly wrapped. the French Toast looked better than they taste. i feel this place has more potential if they added more effort into the food than the decor.
I didn't care for the food. The coffee was bland (how do you mess up coffee). The food has no flavor except for the biscuits and gravy which were salty. Our bill was $56 for 2. Definitely not worth it. Will not be going back.
The staff was friendly and had a smile the whole time. The food wasn't what I was expecting. I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs with hash browns and upgraded to biscuits and gravy. The steak was small but good. The eggs were good as well. The hash browns they served were more of just potatoes, not shredded and crisp like hash browns should be. The biscuits and gravy were thick and cold. Long story short I think they were just a quick bite for tourists. We didn't eat everything that was served and they didn't mind charging us the full price.
