We have gone to almost every Indian restaurant in the Ridgewood/Paramus area and this one has been one of the best. We went today 8/14 when they opened at 12noon. Service is topnotch - attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and authentic. We had the Lasuni Gobi, Garlic Naan, Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka Masala, Mango Lassi. For Dessert we had the Ras Malai with Madras Coffee and Tabla Masala Chai. Everything was great. For takeout we had Chicken Mango Curry and Lamb Biryani, and I'm certain those will be exceptional as well. They can also modify the spiciness of the dishes. Will be back soon.

Came in and dining room was empty on a Thursday night around 830. Glad we stayed because the food was delicious. Compared with other Indian food I've had in Metuchen or Parsippany area, dishes were not as heavy and spiced well. Portions a bit smaller than average but still left full. As a bonus, BYOB too.

Best Indian food in my life! The restaurant is beautiful, linen tablecloths and napkins, nicely decorated, and relaxing music. The service was impeccable, professional and friendly. The food was amazing and a big step up from any other Indian restaurant that I've dined at. An all around fabulous dining experience! Update 5/20/25, service was not up to par, maybe a little short staffed.

My favorite Indian spot in Ridgewood! Staff is always very friendly and attentive. The dishes are always delicious! I will say the spice leves are lower than some other Indian places. Mild spice is more like no spice, medium is more like mild, spicy is more like medium. I have been coming here for many years it is a favorite for family outings. Would recommend to anyone! They also are mindful of food allergies. 10/10 spot

I recently had an incredible meal at Tabla! I tried the Kerala Pepper Chicken, Goat Bhuna, and the Trio Kebab — and every single dish was amazing. The Kerala Pepper Chicken had the perfect balance of heat and bold, aromatic spices, and the meat was so tender. The Goat Bhuna was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection — it just melted in my mouth. And the Trio Kebab was a real showstopper, with each skewer packed with smoky, juicy flavor. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

Just had dinner with my mother tonight at Tabla and it was amazing!!! The food was perfect and the service was great. The owner and the staff are very pleasant and respectful. I'm hoping more people stop by and try this amazing food. Things have been slow for them since after Covid, so any help you can give to this fine establishment would be greatly appreciated!!!

Wow! This place is great, delicious Indian food, very traditional and absolutely delicious! Prepare to sweat because the dishes are spicy! Many vegetarian options, ten out of ten recommend, I am definitely coming back! If you’re in the area definitely stop by and give this one a shot!

I had a great time while I was at Tabla. The staff was so attentive and consistently checking up on us to see if they could get us anything or better our experience. The food was also very good and the portions sizes were perfect.

Food was good and tasty. So was their mango lassi. Their restroom needs some tlc and deep cleaning, which suggests their kitchen might be in a similar situation.

I was so excited to try this place but OMG. I was so disappointed. I got the tikka masala, the same thing I’ve gotten at so many Indian restaurants.. it was bad. Very bad. Tomato sauce with a few spices. Realllly bad. I didn’t eat it. Even the naan was meh. 🫤 I also got the cauliflower appetizer that was equally terrible, but to be fair, I don’t usually get that so I really had nothing to compare it to. Perhaps the whole order was defective ? Idk. I just cannot believe people rave about this place.

the place is very nice but the food is okay. only the naan was good. its obvious they used a canned tomato sauce because the taste is the exact same. better to just make it home then. we got panner tikka masala and chicken sak and they were both the same taste. the tomato sauce is the same used and we said medium spice and it was really sweet. if you want to still try food here and want indian spice, say spicy level. never coming here again:)
