Everything was perfect. The atmosphere, music level, service, furnishings, dishes, wine. Very impressed with Deanz and we’ll come back.

The food was absolutely delicious, very relaxed atmosphere and the waitresses were lovely! Would highly recommend coming here!

First time visit, using an itison voucher, and it was more than worth the trip to Perth. The venue is lovely, warm and stylish. Service was first class and the food was spectacular. The normal tasting menus look great value for money and they offer a kids version, so we’ll definitely travel back to visit again.

First time back at deans under new ownership and it didn’t disappoint, great cocktails and great food for a Sunday lunch. The renovations are subtle but leave the place looking much fresher, with a great atmosphere and great service from the staff.

Food was excellent. Staff were attentive, approachable and just as you would want. Prices were in line with expectations, not cheap but not ridiculous. Decent selection of cocktails. Overall would easily recommend.

Amazing as per usual!! The service and food is equally exquisite, the new menu (from the last time I was here) is amazing, the pistachio cocktail was to die for, and no better place in Perth at this price (£36 pound 3 courses for lunch) 👌❤️

Everything (as always) was perfection! Strawberry negroni cocktail was stunning. Then had the soup of the day which was carrot and ginger which was sublime. Ribeye steak for the main with the truffle fries and peppercorn sauce which again was cooked to perfection!

I can’t say enough great things! One of the best meals and dining experiences we’ve had out in a very long while 😍 Visiting family in Perth and they recommended Dean’s for a nicer meal out. Lovely setting and seating areas and the bartender was unmatched! He made a special mocktail for our son (under 10yo) which was just wow! Layered juices and cotton candy with dry ice for that incredible effect! Kiddo was so thrilled and made to feel very special. Staff were warm and welcoming and all worked seamlessly together. Was very impressive to watch them coordinate their work. The food was outstanding! Portions were perfectly sized and presented so well we were hard pressed to ruin the aesthetics by digging in! I understand why this is our family’s favourite local place for a date night or special occasion. Prices were very reasonable especially for what you were getting. There wasn’t a bite that wasn’t enjoyed. We can’t wait to return for another visit 💜

Absolutely fabulous - one of the best birthday meals out I've had!

Deans is one of our favourite restaurants, it isn't close so it tends to be special occasions we travel through for and the food is always exceptional. They always have options to cater for dietary requirements and the children's menu is brilliant. We hope they find new premises with the end of their lease fast approaching as it would be a great loss to Perth without it.

What a find! Wonderful food at lunchtime with great service, definitely Rosette/ Michelin standard. Arbroath Smokie starter exceptional as was Venison casserole Would highly recommend & we will return when in Perth

I had a wonderful experience at Deans in Perth. The food was brilliantly flavoured and well portioned. My wife and I shared the chateaubriand (cooked perfectly medium rare) and paired a Chardonnay with entree (cheese soufflé which was amazing) and Malbec with the mains. The Malbec matched particularly well. The wait staff were very attentive and were very friendly. They were even happy for us to try to finish all of the the fantastic truffle chips (so sad to have left 5 behind), even though we were the last diners in the restaurant, we never felt rushed. The onion rings surprised me. I’ve ever eaten one that I liked, but these had a brilliant crunch! I don’t actually know how they achieved it. The sauces that accompanied the meal were brilliant. My only comment would be the peppercorn could be a little more peppery. The red wine jus was top notch. Unfortunately we didn't have any space for a dessert. If we make it back to Perth we’ll definitely be heading back to Deans!

Last night we celebrated my mum's 80th birthday at Deans, we travelled 2 hours to get there, and all of us would gladly travel longer if it meant we could enjoy the evening all over again. The whole experience was perfect, from my initial enquiry email in December, to the regular email contact from Athene and Leila with suggestions, ideas and recommendations, right up to meeting with family in the bar area for cocktails before dinner. I had sent down table decorations prior to the evening and they had made up a table in the bar AND the restaurant for our family group and it was beautiful ❤️ Every. Single. Team member we came into contact with was wonderful, knowledgeable, funny, kind and helpful and I can't thank them all enough for making our evening so special. Mums birthday has been thwarted with family health issues and the grand plans my parents had for her big birthday had been dashed, but the team at Deans stepped in and made everything perfect in what has been a difficult situation. The food, oh my gosh the food. All 3 courses were delicious, looked so pretty on the plate and filled up a family who love to eat.... Even the nephew with hollow legs! My personal highlight of the meal being the smoked salmon starter which was so much more than just local salmon on a plate. I for one, cannot wait to go back and will look for any excuse to be down in Perth so I can drink cocktails and eat delicious food time and time again. Thank you team, you can't know how grateful I am to you all ❤️

The only issue was it was a very hot day and with no air conditioning the restaurant was very very warm. Food was second to none.

We were fortunate enough to arrive on an evening where there had been a cancellation for two, luckily we received the table! The service is superb, the food absolutely delightful: it is gorgeous, delicious, it is exquisitely and properly prepared by a skilled kitchen, innovative but not too silly, every wonderful flavor you want in unusual bowls and plates which add to the visual appeal. The atmosphere is elegant, creative, and gets more boisterous as the evening for progresses which adds to the fun. Service incomparable. No detail is missed and all delivered with a smile and great sense of welcome. A tiny bit on the costly side, but worth every single bit and more, we will definitely be back more than once! Bravo.

Excellent restaurant located in central Perth. Our table of seven was well accommodated, with all courses being very tasty, well presented and good portions. Cocktails were also very good, with a wide range of wine, beer & spirit options also available. All staff were professional, friendly and attentative. Will definitely be back.

Wow!! Deans really is an asset to Perth and the owners. Such a fantastic meal and would highly recommend it. From the warm welcome the staff give you on arrival, to the combination of flavours and the presentation, and experience, it is just outstanding!! Lived in Perth for 5 years and never been… until this evening. Love it! Such a spontaneous special night out. New parents and we had a chance to step away. The staff made it such a great night, suggested the best wine and guided us through a taste sensation. Strongly suggest the red wine! Which ever the staff suggest 🥰

Went to the restaurant for the first time in a while and had an amazing experience. From the staff to the food, everything for my granny and I was fantastic. Staff were very attentive which was nice to see and patient when it came to ordering and the food was amazing no complaints whatsoever. Would definitely be going back again soon 10/10 :)

My husband and I dined here for our anniversary while visiting on a trip to Scotland from the US, and our experience was nothing short of wonderful! The staff were all so lovely, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was really on point for celebrating our special day. We could tell the staff was equally invested in our special occasion, and our entire evening was unique and romantic. Each course from the menu was spectacular - highest of compliments to the Chef! This would easily be a place we would return to on any future visit, and would definitely recommend that if you're considering dining here that you do! Thank you to the team at Dean's for making our anniversary celebration so special! :)

Last minute booking which was accommodated without hesitation. Nice atmosphere and food and drinks served to an exceptional standard. Only negative was lack of hand towels in the gents. This was resolved within seconds of alerting a member of staff. Great job team Deanz.

The food is exceptionally good. Presentation and taste - absolutely perfect. For us though - an annual treat as, even without alcohol, it's £70/head. It IS worth it if you can afford it, for sure!

Have to say the day didn’t go as planned and wasn’t expecting to end up at Deans. Saying that very happy we did. It seems very hard to find a location in Perth that does a Sunday roast. Deans does a great one if I have to say. What to expect a very warm welcome and friendly staff. We were shown to our table not the best as we were seated by the entrance to the toilet. This was a surprise as there was only one other table being used so maybe not the best location was a negative but in the end didn’t spoil the day. Servcs was good was offered a drink when seated then a few minutes later was asked for the food order. This seemed simple but not as easy as you would expect as they take the order as you sit at the table this didn’t work when the starters arrived as I didn’t get what I ordered and didn’t end up eating my one as the order I asked for was given to one of the others and they loved the theatre that went with the food and didn’t want to take it from them. So I missed out as what was ordered for them wasn’t for me. It didn’t go to waste as it scoffed very quickly by the other half as the food was so good. When the mains were served I got my roast beef that was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Only negative was the size of the Yorkshire pudding they were tinny. It was hard to find on the plate. Then again the chicken dish didn’t come with a Yorkshire pudding that he was looking forward to as that is one on the best parts of a Sunday lunch. Might be better if they’d gone to get aunt betty’s. We all enjoyed what we ordered and so happy we ended up at Deans. I will be going back again to try the rest of the food on offer and if as good as what was served today will keep visiting when I visit Perth. This is a must visit if you are in Perth, if today is a sample of what to expect. It can only get better.

Went there Sunday evening with an Itison voucher which has its own menu. A vegetarian path and a fish and meat options. The food was superb and we tried all the non veg deliberately to see what they were like. None let us down. It was busy but not overly so, but we had to wait a while for our order to be taken and drink delivered. Once up and running the service was fine. A rather over loud waiter greeting familiar customers did disturb us more than once and a glass dropped at my partner’s feet didn’t help.

Went in for lunch midweek, not many other customers. Service was good and food was lovely. Only gripe is there was not enough chutney with the cheese and biscuits. It has a nice atmosphere. Will go back to sit in the bar area and have a cocktail and some bar food. Nice atmosphere, very relaxing. Food was fab.

We had a lovely meal at Deans to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was our first visit and we both really enjoyed the food, along with the wonderful service and atmosphere. The only slight negative was that we felt the bottle of water was a little overpriced at £6. That said, we don’t mind paying a bit extra for good quality food as a treat, and the Thursday tasting menu did sound like it would offer great value. Overall, a really enjoyable experience, staff had good attention to detail and we’d happily return.

I visited DEANZ to celebrate my birthday, and overall it was a lovely experience. The food was delicious and tasted very fresh. The restaurant was extremely busy—it was a Saturday, and many people were there for the festive menu—so it’s definitely a place where you should book ahead. We booked last minute and ended up seated next to the toilet, which wasn’t ideal, but the atmosphere inside was still warm and welcoming. One thing I really noticed was how hard the staff were working. Despite the crowd, they stayed friendly and attentive. The only downside was that it took more than 10 minutes to pay the bill, likely because of how busy the evening was. Overall, DEANZ is a great spot with tasty food and hardworking staff, but I’d recommend making a booking in advance to get a better table and smoother service.
