Was finally in the neighborhood and decided to try Stella’s - I’ve heard so many great things about their food! I decided to go with the classic plain pie. It was delicious. Dough was fluffy, undercarriage crispy but not burnt, and I loved the basil on each slice for health (lol). The only note I will make is I wish it had more sauce, likely a personal preference so next time I would ask for extra sauce. It reminded me of Angelo’s Pizza in South Philly. I also got chicken tenders. I love that it comes with homemade honey mustard, I know it’s a true pizza place when they have thick honey mustard like that. They were your standard chicken tender, thin and crispy. No complaints. The vibe in there was great, family owned and operated. Everyone was friendly, throwback R&B playing. No bathrooms FYI. Would definitely come back if I’m in the area again!

Since moving to Philly, this is the first spot that’s given me that true North Jersey pizza vibe. The kind of pie that makes you feel like an Italian grandma and grandpa are still the ones in the kitchen, putting their pride and soul into every slice. Packed with flavor, the crust was toasted perfectly, genuinely a 10/10. I will be back for cheesesteak!

Wow. Got a cheesesteak (not pictured) and an Italian hoagie. Soooo good. Hoagie was packed with meat, bread was soft with that nice crispy outside. The right amount of oil and vinegar and seasoning. Will definitely be returning to try the pizza.

Finally was in the Northeast & after seeing a number IG reels, decided to stop in for a cheesesteak. Wow, delicious. I have to say quality products do make for an amazing happy taste bud experience. I love a sesame seed roll. And someplaces don’t make their cheesesteaks cheesy. Well you don’t need to worry about that here. I asked for extra cheese and the counter clerk stated we put 7 pieces of cheese on the steak. So, I agreed that nothing extra was needed. I cannot comment on the pizza, since I didn’t order any. It looks like you can only order a whole pie not by the slice. While I waited for the cheesesteak there were plenty of customers coming in for pick ups of pizza. The only downside is there really isn’t a place to sit. I was traveling through so I wanted to eat the cheesesteak while it was still fresh & hot. There was a front window counter space with three stools which did serve the purpose. Just not really a place for its “atmosphere” (that’s the reason how I rated it for 3 stars). It’s more of a take out place. Definitely keeping it on my list. :)

Let me start by saying I don’t review often. I am from Toronto, Canada and Italian descent. We have many pizza places in Toronto and most very good. I’ve been coming to visit my family in Philly for the last 40 years and the food is always as good as the company. Stella’s deliver pizza and cheese steaks and both were on point. The cheese steaks are fully loaded with copious amounts of meat and cheese, the pizza which normally I am not fond of in Philadelphia (no offence to my brothers here) is the best I’ve had from ordering in. The sauce is simple and not over done, the cheese is just enough and the lightness of the dough kissed by the flame is as is god himself sent lightning to strike my taste buds and send a symphony of flavour to hit the cockles of my stomach. Well done! Superb! You did it Stella!

Not enough positive reviews on here. Bought the cheesesteak and devoured it as soon as I finished my 25 minute commute back home. It's probably not 100% ribeye like Carmelas but they use the same or similar seeded roll and pack twice more meat for less money. I'm not a cheesesteak snob but this sandwich was meaty, cheesy, and had NO gristle! Will eat from here again.

I drove down from NJ and got their Philly cheese steak. This isn't first time traveling from NY, NJ to try a different cheese steak spot everytime, but this place 💣. Sucks that it's not really a place to dine and eat but the food makes up for it. This was the best cheese steak I've had in my life! I got it plain steak and cheese, my bf got it with onions, and my brother with the onions peppers and mushrooms. We all was amazed by the size and amount of steak! I have to give it to them literally the best! I don't know why it's not called Stella's cheese steaks cuz boy you will not be disappointed. Might go back again one day to see if the pizza is just as good.

*Under New Ownership* We were greeted at the front door immediately by one of the owners who was pleasant and helpful. Plenty of employees working and greeting customers when you walk in. We got a cheesesteak & italian hoagie which were HUGE. We also got two pizzas, they were mike hot honey pepperoni & half plain half chicken bacon ranch. Everything was very very good.

An employee of mine recommended this place to me. I’m so glad that I decided to check them out. This place serves up good a** cheesesteaks (born & raised in Philly so I know a good steak when I eat one lol). If I were a tourist I’d definitely want to come here to get an official philly cheesesteak. I finally tried Stella's after all the hype, and it lived up to the buzz! Their cheesesteak was delicious, with perfectly cooked meat and a great balance of flavors. I honestly preferred it over Delassandro's, Chubby's, and even John's Roast Pork. The only thing missing was a bit more meat to truly rival Carmellas, my personal favorite. Overall, it's a fantastic cheesesteak!

Not only is the food really good but the owner is stand up guy. I ordered a pizza and the woman over the phone that took the order must have misunderstood me. I arrived and the pizza was wrong. Me thinking this would be an inconvenience to them the owner was more concerned about me having to wait for him to make the correct pie. Turns out when the correct pie was all done the owner let me keep both pies when he could have easily just threw the first one out and sent me on my way with my order. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re searching for some of the best pizza in the area look nowhere else and go straight to Stella’s pizza. And of course order the Hot Pepperoni🔥

Stella has become one of my favorite places to go to. I always go to Stella’s when I have guests from out of town. One of the first times I went there I left and they forgot my salad but ever since then I haven’t had a bad experience there. Their cheesesteaks are top-tier. I would match them up with the best in the city on any day. The steaks are huge too. They give you so much meat and the rolls are perfectly crisp and seeded. Their pizzas are really good as well. Highly recommend the cheesesteak though.

What a delicious loaded cheesesteak that is way worth the stop! You definitely won’t go hungry after getting one of these! Might be challenging finding somewhere to park but during the week day wasn’t terrible. Would recommend to anyone!

Their pizza is surprisingly really good, one of the best I've tried in the northeast. The cheesesteak was sloppy and messy, I shouldn't have to use a fork and knife to eat it. But the hoagie was bangin. I'd def get the hoagie and the pizza again.

The food was fantastic!! Me and the ♏️ lady ordered 4 items and they all were great.. the buffalo chicken pizza was five stars. The honey turkey hoagie was great. Also I just didn’t like the role neither did she but the spicy garlic wings were A1 we thought and the chicken cheesesteak was what we really came for and we both were definitely satisfied with that other than the role I don’t really like hard rolls for a cheesesteak or hoagie. I like a soft roll.

The food here is fantastic but what makes me review this lower is on Google maps the menu that appears is completely inaccurate to what the actual menu of the restaurant is.When I go in to pick up my food I see a majority of the people that work here are of the younger generation that should be able to manage and maintain the online Google maps menu. Because it lists being able to get individual slices or different sides that they don't carry like garlic knots. If they take the time to correct this I will change my review to be five stars across the board and when I order I tend to forget about this issue and end up disappointed not getting what I want to order. UPDATE: restaurant listened to the review and fixed their menu well on them. Updated my stars and addendum to show a reasonable complaint was met with just reply.

I made the long drive from New York City to Stella’s Pizza for a Philly cheesesteak, and my friend got a personal pan pie loaded with veggies. I’d say the food was absolutely amazing—the Philly cheesesteak was so delicious, perfectly seasoned with fried onions, sweet peppers, and cheese (I can’t recall the exact kind, but it was fantastic). I’m definitely planning to return. My friend’s pizza was a vegetable personal pie with olives and other toppings, and I had a slice. It was so good! I took the olives off since I don’t eat them, but he loved the pizza. It wasn’t too much of anything, just right. He gave it a 10 out of 10. I’m planning to come back before the month is over for another cheesesteak. I really appreciate you all; the customer service was also fantastic—very friendly, inviting, and attentive to the menu. They explained everything I needed done without being rude, and everything was great. I’ll definitely be back sooner than later.

I was finally able to try a cheesesteak from here, it was good with a decent amount of cooper sharp and fried onions. The meat could definitely use some salt and pepper on it but overall I would try them again and recommend if you’re in NE Philly

They only have cherry coke and coke.. no fountain soda.. But I tried the Cooper sharp with onions and it was great. It had a heaping amount of meat which honestly could have fed two people. There was a great amount of meat falling off and out as I ate.. I couldn't finish it. For 13.50ish for a steak it was a great value all around.

Ordered a Grandmom style pizza, Which if anyone knows its supposed to be a square style pizza, with fresh mozzarella and basil...As You can see in this photo I have either.... I did ask for 1/2 of the pizza to have pepperoni on it.

Some of the best crust. You can tast the smokey flavor and it makes a huge difference. Staff there is super nice as well.

The cheesesteak was good, lots of meat and cheese. Good flavor. The pizza was less than expected. Crust was chewy and gummy. Too many basil leaves on top. Need to put a few chairs in there. Drivers took up 2 chairs while waiting for deliveries.

Just got here today March 28th around 6pm hearing a lot about this place seeing videos of there food me and my wife came to get are 4 kids and us some food …first thing is parking there really wasn’t any I parked around the Conner ..,got to the door there was 6 people in line to order food it took us 20 minutes just to place are order …place is small in side and was getting more and more packed ..it was very busy the phone wouldn’t stop ringing every one was running around working no joke ! Me and my wife waited 46 minutes for are food when we left there was about 18 people waiting for there food …we got a pepperoni pizza that was pretty good and a plain pizza that was also pretty good not bad also got a cheese steak with copper cheese that was great and stuffed with meat on a seeded roll it was real good …got a chicken cheese steak too loaded with meat also on a seeded roll but not too good I don’t think it was chicken breast I think it was a chicken steak not too good …I don’t see all the hype is about here I mean most of the food is good but waiting 46 minutes I’m good plus I’m coming from port Richmond area to here too I don’t mind trying new pizza or steaks or any food once but too me there’s no best cheese steaks or pizza to me !

Store made an error, but quickly corrected. Cheese steak was extremely hefty meat in abundance. Fries were fresh, which was awesome because most takeouts will not give fresh fries. Pizza was flavorful. Staff is polite and courteous. I recommend. 40 dollars well spent.

Ordered a grandmas pizza and what they sent was a round thick crust pizza. Apparently they have no idea how to make it and should remove it from their menu

This is one of my favorite pizzerias to order food from for over two years now. My boyfriend and I ordered Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas and Chicken Ceaser Wrap(both came with fries). Food fresh and tasty as always. The delivery man forgot one of our juice orders and brought it back about 30 minutes later. When he arrived, he handed my boyfriend two children sized juice boxes made by Minute Maid. I called the pizzeria and inquired about ordering a bottled apple juice(Minute Maid) as we received a bottle orange soda. She stated that was all they had. They did not sale any Lipton products(in which Apple Juice is not made with this company). We would normally receive a phone call from the pizzeria if they did not have something in stock or if they had to give us a different item. I am a bit disappointed in the service of not being informative of our order. The little boxes charged 2.25 as full drink was insulting and careless. Stella's, please update your online app/ service made for customers to use with accurate information. The menu clearly stated Apple Juice, not small juice boxes.

Ordered a cheesesteak after seeing great reviews on IG. I ordered it with salt, pepper, ketchup, mayo, extra fried onions and hots. Visually the sandwich made my mouth water. It was packed with meat and cheese but to my surprise lacked flavor. I'm disappointed.

It looks like the quality of the food goes up and down according to how busy is the store, ordered cheese steak and a small pizza , the pizza was burned and all you can eat is the tip of the slice , the steak might be big enough but it was soooooo greasy, to the point that after I ate few bites I couldn’t stand the smell of my fingers and didn’t finish eating, the store was busy and too many people were inside, that explains the drop in the food quality, I had previous experience that was much better than this …

Haven't ordered from here for a while and I guess there new management or a cooks. Tell me how a pizza can be dry?? But it was. The most unappetizing pizza I have had. It was burnt to a crisp and the crust was black! And that's my favorite part. There was a lack of sauce and cheese. Guess this is how they are cutting costs by putting less toppings on there pizza. Kind of said you can't even get a decent cheese pizza during Lent. Don't think I'll be ordering from there next Friday.

Pizza was so burnt it tasted horrible and I had to throw it in the trash. Not to mention they charged me $12.00 for a small sausage pizza. The prices on my receipt do not match the prices that’s in their menu they have on the counter. This is not brick oven pizza this is more like fire pit pizza.

Let me start by saying this review is based totally on my experience with a tuna hoagie I had from here, my kids and wife also got food from here and they had no complaints to be fair, now with that being said they all eat beef and things were as I only eat fish. Ok so we ordered sandwiches from here and the got steaks and I got a tuna hoagie with everything (the works) well my hoagie only had lettuce and tomatoes and nothing else and it had a citrus flavor to it as though it was lemon juice or something on it, like besides that where we're the pickle, onions, hots, sweets, oregano, or oil. They just slopes some tuna on a roll with a little lettuce and tomatoes and called it a tuna hoagie with the works. Smh. Sorry, the worst hoagie I've ever had in 50 years of eating hoagies in Philly.

I ordered a large 1/2 extra cheese 1/2 sausage pizza with an order of fries. I first hold myself accountable for ordering from the at 7:08pm on a Sunday night. When the pizza arrived I had my 9 yr old niece make my plate, because I am recovering from a surgery. She immediately told me Auntie you may have to take off the green leaf which she thought was lettuce. I told her it’s probably basil flakes ( like the seasoning). Anyhow the basil leaves were real big basil leaves that were served in the pizza. The problem is after removing the basil leaves the flavor of what a pizza should taste like was gone. It was awful, the pizza was old looking, dried with some added cheese and sausage. Oh and let’s not forget the big olde basil leaves that over powers the pizza. The fries were brown and dried up letting me know that the were fries that sat for a while and reheated. My neicey couldn’t eat one slice of that awful pizza, This is the reason why I shouldn’t have ordered from the store on a Sunday, when I knew they about to close. Not to mention I paid $31.00 plus a tip to the driver who by the way was great! Normally they are pretty good with their Stromboli and cheesesteaks. But they need to hang up the pizzas. I immediately complained to my loves not to ever buy no food from them during 2hours before closing. From my experience it seems like you ONLY get fresh food during the morning and early afternoon and that’s bad for business.

Absolutely disgusting for everyone to have said this place is good I see you all eat anything. Thick meat chunks, peppers and onions, too much cheese literally wouldn’t stay on the bread the bread tastes burnt in certain spots but they say they don’t toast it. Just ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. The cheesesteak had the nerve to be $15 like it was good I will never go back. Everyone try Larry’s on rising sun, THAT’s A GOOD CHEESESTEAK

Cant order online and good luck calling them. They put you on hold and act like you’re inconveniencing them. From what I remember their pizza was great the last time I was able to order a year ago. Do better.

I tried Stella's cuz I seen a video on their chicken cheesesteak, I must say it was horrible.There was more cheese than meat, so I guess if you like a block of cheese then you are good, the next day I tried a cheesesteak with light cheese and f.o and it was stringy and had no taste to the meat, a good steak would have juice and flavor dripping out the back when you bite into it.

Ordered pizza for delivery.. and the pizza came with some sort of ring baked inside. I called, they asked if I wanted a new pizza or refund. I asked for my refund. I understand that things happen but, maybe check what’s coming out the kitchen for accuracy. Sadly, don’t think I’ll be ordering from them again. Personally, if I was an owner and operator of my own business I would have refunded the pizza along with providing the customer with possible another pizza for the future to give us another try!! But, oh well!! Be careful …
