We had such a fantastic lunch at 1111 Nikkei today! From start to finish, everything was spot on. The restaurant is easy to find with plenty of parking, and the service was excellent. Mauricio, both our server and the manager, was absolutely amazing—so friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which really made the experience special. The food was just as incredible. We tried the: • Sticky Shrimp (a must!) • Steamed Chicken Gyoza • Hamachi Tiradito • 1111 Ceviche • Acevichado Roll Every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the menu. If you’re looking for a spot that combines great food, warm service, and an easy dining experience, I can’t recommend 1111 Nikkei enough. Definitely worth a visit—let’s keep supporting amazing local restaurants like this one!
Mauricio absolutely made our first time awesome for my wife and I celebrating our anniversary! Food was amazing highly recommend! We will be back!
One of the best Peruvian restaurants on this side of town. You can't go wrong with the menu, each dish is better than the next. The service is good and the atmosphere is quite nice. The cost-benefit ratio is good. We will definitely be back soon.
Wow 🤩 So delicious!!!!!!! The seafood was so so fresh and tender, my girls had the lomo which was also so tender! We came here for lunch and it did not disappoint ! Definitely will be coming back and recommend to all my friends and family. The service and ambiance was really great 😊
The best Peruvian sushi in town! Every single dish is delicious! Service superb! Great selection of wines! Full bar! Amazing desserts in just the right size! Upscale yet casual. Love the twists they do on the ordinary, making every dish amazing. Martin & Gordo are food artist & not afraid to create & recreate typical dishes that make you say WOW! Can’t wait until the all sushi side opens up...TV’s, sushi bar and bar will complete 1111. Can’t say enough about this Pinecrest gem.
I had lunch, the quality of food is good and fresh and the service is very kind. I ordered the ceviche with avocado, it's fantastic! I suggest to have ceviche mixed. I also had the octopus and the salad are potatoes that comes with are delicious! Prices are standard and good for what they offer.
An amazing experience. Great food fusion sushi 🍣 and Peruvian food. Highly recommend. Owners, manager and service staff are great 👍 I ordered take out and the quality of the product is fresh 👌. I will come back to dining in. The 2 ceviches we order were delicious
Have you ever been to flavortown? Well if you're looking to book the trip this is your first stop. From starter, to sushi, to entre, to dessert you're encapsulated by a vast array of flavors and aromas. If you like sushi their Hamachi-San Maki and Inka Maki are two of the best rolls you can have in Miami (Arguably the U.S.). To top it off they have pionono for dessert which is my family's new favorite that has replaced the traditional birthday cake. It's a light and delectable finish to this hidden gem in Pinecrest. Must try these dishes! I also have to give a shoutout to the server gabe who has been one of the top waiters I've come across. His recommendations and service has taken my dining experience up a notch to the point of writing this review. Support this small business if you like good food.
My favorite items items to order: the sticky shrimp & traditional ceviche. So yummy I’ve been here a couple of times and love to come back whenever I’m in Miami. My mom ordered the passion fruit salmon tiraditos last time we went and they were ok. The sauce was eh but the salmon was good.
Authentic Peruvian fusion cuisine with amazing atmosphere and outstanding service. A true gem In Pinecrest. The ceviche is the best in town with real fresh fish. My favorite is the Apaltado 1111 Ceviche with the amazing leche de Tigre and avocados !! The sticky shrimps are a must. 1111 has a fabulous Pisco sour selection and imported drinks. Don’t leave without finishing with a sweet bite of the dreamy suspiro limeño it will literally take your breath away. The Friday life music was fantastic too. May I also add that the home delivery service is fantastic, the food will arrive quickly, in perfect presentation and fresh, same quality as in the restaurant. I just plated it and had a gorgeous and delicious dinner party at home.
This place is incredible, the food is top quality and the service is amazing! Our waiter (Gabriel) was super personable and attentive. I enjoyed every single plate and appetizer that I ordered. I can’t wait to come back. Delicious 🤤
I didnt expect it to be so good!!! Food was delicious, the risotto as an app was amazing!! Service charge of 18% included but service was good.
Visited 1111 for the first time on Friday night (1-26-24). I had seen a post on Facebook about their new menu and all of the pictures looked amazing! So, I had to try it. We got there at about 9pm. It was a bit busy, but luckily there was a table for 2 available and we were immediately sat. There are plenty of options on the menu, but I would love to have some pictures with them. I ordered some edamame as an appetizer and we ordered some “fresco” ceviche to share. The fresco ceviche has a kind of thick sauce which I didn’t love, but the ceviche fish was really good. I ordered the Tuna Acevichado sushi roll. It was very good. My husband got the Inka Maki. It was better than mine. We asked for soy sauce and the waiter said they recommend trying it alone first. So we did. It’s good, and I don’t recommend too much soy sauce, but I still prefer it with some. I gave service 4 instead of 5 stars just because it was kind of all over the place. They were very busy. We had a couple of different people wait on us and sometimes we waited longer because they weren’t sure who was taking care of us. But it wasn’t bad service. We didn’t drink or get dessert. The meal was perfect as it was. Not too much, or too little. Our dinner came to $75 with tip. I’d love to go back and try some different sushi rolls and ceviches.
Absolutely loved this place. This is a quaint restaurant but huge in flavor. Service was excellent and the appetizers, ceviche and drinks were top notch. I had an amazing drink with vodka, pisco and chicha morada that was like nothing I've ever tried. The ceviche was fresh while the sushi Inka Maka I think its called. was so delicious I almost ordered a second tray.

Our server Mauricio made the night even better with his wonderful service — attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Everything from start to finish was excellent. I was really looking forward to trying the Asado de la Abuela, which the menu describes as a slow-cooked, 5-hour roasted pot roast. Instead, what I received was a pork chop, and a pretty underwhelming one at that. It was immediately disappointing, especially when you order a dish expecting something hearty and traditional. The plate came with risotto, but every bite had big chunks of garlic, so the flavor was completely overwhelming. On top of that, it didn’t taste anything like ají amarillo, which is supposed to give the dish a distinct Peruvian flavor. It felt like the dish didn’t resemble what was advertised at all. I also ordered ceviche, and while the fish itself tasted decent, there was barely any sauce, which made the whole dish feel dry and unfinished. Ceviche should be bright, citrusy, and well-balanced—this one missed the mark. Honestly, every time I pass this restaurant it’s empty, and now I understand why. Between the incorrect dish, overpowering garlic, and lackluster ceviche, the experience just wasn’t worth it. I left more disappointed than satisfied.
After discovering AAdvantage Dining I randomly pick restaurants they have available on the app. I mean spend a dollar and get 5 AAdvantage miles per dollar. Perfect deal for someone who loves traveling with easy access to miles. Anyways, started off with a glass of their 2023 Santiago Ruiz - Rosa Ruiz Albariño; very refreshing for Miami hot weather. Appetizer: • Carretillero Ceviche was delicious. Only the name speaks for itself. Carretillero for me, means someone who lies that exaggerates things. Well menu stated that this ceviche was loaded with shrimp octopus hamachi. Upon starting to consume our appetizer we noticed there was only lots of baby shrimp and choclo. I confronted the waiter and he took it to the kitchen came back and said he forgot to mention those items ran out but he never mentioned this when we ordered. Decided to instead switch to their Apaltacho (or whatever the name was which it was Hamachi with Creamy Leche de Tigre) WOW AMAZING FLAVORS. We were happy with our exchange! For our entrée: • Lomo Saltado was tiny but filling. Flavors were on point & perfectly cooked which is very important! • Nibbui Truffle Maki was super fresh, perfect amount of truffle oil and not overpowering. Highly recommend it. • Pulpo Al Olivo Maki was perfectly made into a sushi roll. If you’ve ever had a Pulpo Al Olivo appetizer in Peruvian restaurants. Loved it! As for my friend, showed the waiter a picture from a year ago that someone had posted on Yelp and he stated that was the Pink Flaming Roll; she was happy it was still available. Upon her roll arriving he comes to the table sarcastically saying it was now a White Flamingo roll because they run out of the Pink Soy Paper. AGAIN, why didn’t he state that when she had order. Not only that. When sushi arrived it had nothing to do with the one in the picture. Picture the roll had Tuna , salmon, hamachi and avocado. This roll had only tuna and Kami (fake crab). SECOND LIE OF THE MEAL. After that I was fed up so didn’t order dessert and I was looking at the Suspiro Limeño which is my favorite Peruvian dessert. Upon asking for the check. I always double check and guess what. He was charging us for the Carretillero Ceviche. I go and told him and he’s like oh no worries it’s the same price. I go you’re wrong I saw both prices and I need you to correct your mistake. He came sarcastically with a horrible attitude oh look I took off $3 (I don’t mind $3 but I do hate when I’m being lied to my face). I asked him to print my receipt to double check cause at this point I didn’t trust him at all! I also asked him to remove the 20% tip. I only ended up leaving him $10 because I know waiters earn their income through tip but I refused to leave him a full 20% when he was just terrible in every aspect! Food is delicious but with customer service like this it’s a definitely never coming back again!
Had reservations for 7:30pm however we arrived early and requested an inside table which was available but was denied. Then we requested a table next to the business window away from the edge of the walkway next to the parking lot and was also denied saying that the table we wanted was for 4 people. We reluctantly had to sit in a 2 person small table. We ordered the sticky shrimp for appetizer and it was brought out quickly. It was very good however it should bring more than 4 shrimp for the price. We then ordered 2 sushi rolls one came out quickly and was very good with 10 pieces in the roll. The second roll took forever to come out and no one came by our table to tell us what the delay was. After my wife complained about the wait it’s when we were told that the sushi bar had fallen behind on orders. Finally the roll came out and it was also very good and tasty with 10 pieces in the roll. Most rolls are $16 to 18 dollars which is a bit pricey but being that inflation has raised prices on everything it’s expected. We were given a very small dessert on the house for our wait and ended the evening. The total with tip was $72 dollars and we were still hungry. Most of their entrees are very expensive and the portions are small. The service poor except for Gabriel who was very nice and attentive after we complained. They are in the process of expanding the restaurant so half of the place is not being used. Due to the pricey food and small portions along with the poor service we will not be going back. Hopefully they hire more help so they can solve the service issues. BTW the table we requested and was denied was not used during our entire stay there.

My food took forever because they were severely understaffed. I received my Lomo Saltado 45 minutes after ordering, and my wife’s food — a single sushi roll — wasn’t brought out with mine. I finished my entire meal, and 15 minutes later her dish still hadn’t arrived. On top of that, they tried to serve my meal with two plates as if we had agreed to share, even though we never said anything about sharing. When her roll finally showed up, it was mostly rice. I really don’t like writing negative reviews, but this was just a bad experience from start to finish. No apology beyond a mild “sorry,” no effort to make it right, and not even a small discount. It honestly felt like zero care was given. I was hopeful for this place. Avoid it.
