The fish, chicken, fries and puppies smelled and tasted like old oil. They all looked like they were in under the warmer for hours- dry, the fish had separated from the batter and the chicken was stiff. All the food was cold. The staff is always friendly but the food is terrible.

I was excited to have LJS as we don’t have one nearby. We traveled the 40+ miles. The food was so disappointing. I ordered 2 fish, I got 4 and 3 of the were not fresh. Rubber fish. The hush puppies were ok. Service was pleasant though.

Fish was very greasy and made me sick. I don’t know what happened but this place used to be good. See pic of the greasy overcooked fish. I wouldn’t recommend going here.

Went one day a couple weeks ago for long John silver. Was told that the "fryer isn't working" so they could only sell Taco Bell. Today I went and was told you can only order LJS inside. Not through the drive through. When I asked why, The answer was because

Apparently they can just choose not to open half the restaurant because they're "behind" when there's a single person in the restaurant. Didn't get to eat, took 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Horrible experience.

Me and my husband came up to Connecticut for business. We love Long John Silver as well as Captain D’s. But this was the worst worst worst worst long John silver we have ever been to we have traveled around the world across country from Dallas to New York to New Jersey to Cali and back From down south to Alabama or areas where long John silvers at. This has been the worst long John silver we have ever been to. The food was burnt the fish was burnt with some black stuff the fries words get it was for us. They didn’t put all of my order in I had to go back . And we want of the round fall out. Horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible. There was more than one person that was waiting for their food that they bring it back horrible. I have no idea who’s management in there but they need a whole new management team and get rid of all those workers. If you don’t take pride in what you do it’s pointless anything you do in this world if you do not take pride.

I haven been to a long John silvers since they had one in Naugatuck so when I saw one in Bristol had to stop. I don’t know where to begin. It was disgusting. The food was like it was left under warmer for hour and so greasy. A large gentleman who was working there was handling stuff and the picking stuff out of food bin. They had no idea what they were doing. It was in with Taco Bell and they were screwing all orders up. I ordered2 fish with fries , chicken and fish for mom and a couple of other 2 combo order and they put shrimp in all of them which would have been a plus but they were NASTY!!! That ruined my desire to ever go to long John silvers again. If I could have I would have given it no stars. Don’t waste your money

Went there yesterday for the first and last time. Food was awful. We ordered a combination of things for takeout so we could try a sampling of everything. A few hundred yards down the road, we discovered they had forgotten the shrimp we ordered so we had to go back. The family meal came with two sides. The choices? French fries, (which were soggy) more hush puppies and coleslaw! That's it. The chicken was overcooked and tough. The fish was way over fried, dark brown (not golden) in color. and dried out. We had to wait a long time for them to prepare the food and it was definitely not worth the wait.
