Oh my gosh! This place has THE BEST NACHOS! The rest of the food is good too, but if you love nachos, get the Nachos libre combination...chicken and beef. Plenty for two. Now the staff... One of a kind. You can tell they enjoy working with each other. Terra is a dedicated employee that has a remarkable talent for remembering who you are and what you need. She is very friendly and has a smile that will make you smile, even on your bad days. The other staff members are one of a kind as well. It's a great place to come and have some great food, good drinks, and great atmosphere.

A-M-A-ZING....Went for Sunday brunch and everything was great. Had the breakfast tacos and the brisket just melts in your mouth. Just the right amount of cheese for me...Oh and who doesn't enjoy $1 Mimosa's that have the perfect blend of OJ and Champagne. The servers are very attentive. Nice place to patronize you can take in downtown Plano from Patio and feel the cool breeze. What's not to like. Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Sophie is totes a MAIN factor in how much I loved my time at this bar. It's already got a great vibe but she was so attentive to our needs and a ton of fun to interact with. She's a no nonsense kinda gal and I appreciated her service so much! Also food for thought: once a month they host a 5 course//5 cocktail dinner for a reservation price of around 40 bucks which is a killer deal considering 5 craft cocktails alone costs around 50 bucks. I can't wait to come back and I'll be asking for Sophie!

Went on new year's eve. Atmosphere was relaxing, food was actually great (we had the chimmichurri quesadillas, a dish with steak, and sopapillas) and the staff was friendly and awesome! Especially Kylee. She made our day. She was bright and warm despite working a double shift, and made us really want to come back.

A great Saturday night experience! Ask for Sophie - you will meet the most capable hostess who will make you feel at home even if it your first time there. Jemma Bell performs her original Texas Country tunes there along with her band. This is a "Must" in your visit to Plano. Try it!

I did read reviews in regards to ‘Tara’ which seems personal considering they were all posted at the same time .. Anyway I think management just needs more qualified and professional service team members

I'm sorry she had a bad day but we were getting together for the first time and she could barely get back to us in a bar with empty tables.... we just wanted to have a fun Saturday. I had to ask for the check 2x. (We waited for about 20 minutes before I asked again) canceled a drink on the first time asking and all. She never picked up the canceled shot lol OK. If that's what yall do...... prebussing, a joke. She was just not ever a bartender/server but a pariah to your business. We decided to leave for the festival we didn't even know about until the nastiness was too much. We waited in a line for 30 minute over sitting there for her....

Its friday at 5pm They have no happy hour specials at all, only $5 glasses of wine. Its also only full of old people and i mean 50+. Plenty of other bars in the area with better deals and scenery.

Last night was the first time I've been to the On the Rocks Cantina and I genuinely liked the food. But the treatment from a specific staff member named Tara was very appalling. When I was there with a small group of friends, on numerous occasions, Tara made snide remarks to us. For example, she said a particular older Indian couple smelled like curry and called them monkeys. I thought this was very unprofessional and while I do not think this is representative of the bar, she should be reprimanded for this behavior.

This was my go-to bar until recently. One of the bartenders there Tara was very disrespectful. I brought my sugar momma here and I wanted to have a relaxing night with a few drinks, however, we only had one drink throughout our time at this location. Tara would ignore me when I would ask for another drink and my sugar momma was not happy about it. Because of this, my sugar momma broke up with me and now I have no way of paying off my car. If Tara just treated me like any other customer everything would’ve been okay, but now I have no car.

We walked in and stood at the entrance for a good while and nobody greeted us. Now I can understand being busy but on Sunday at 420pm.... 3 people saw us and continued to work and not acknowledge us. I understand that if your job title is to be a food runner or a bartender, but when you have people at the front door waiting, your job is customer service and it should be at least to greet the people and say that somebody we will be with you shortly. Your customer should not also be able to see your employees mouth "who's going to get that" and then nobody moved from said spot.

Recently however, Tara has been super rude to me and my company and I have no clue to as why she is. I understand she is pregnant and that’s normal, but they way me and my girlfriend were treated today was so rude and borderline racist. We weren’t served despite sitting at the bar for over 10-15 minutes and everytime we’ve ordered a drink, Tara has been saying one word answers and not checking up on us when our glass is completely empty, while she’s talking to every other guest. She’s having whole conversations while I’m waiting to order our next drinks. I don’t write reviews often but when I feel like I’m not getting the same treatment as others is when it’s a problem to me. Again every time I’ve been here, Sophie has always treated us like we’re family, Tara is the only one who always is so distant and rude with us every single time we order a drink not only on this occasion. I would really appreciate being treated with the same respect everyone else is getting but I guess this is why reviews are useful.
