We went for the music . The band, Crazy Toy, was Fantastic. We all enjoyed coconut shrimp, catch of the day dorado, fish tacos,chicken burger. All very good ! The staff were very friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was packed ! I would definitely recommend !

We stopped here to drop of Christmas toys for a community you drive they were hosting. We arrived at opening time and a couple beside us were enjoying a fun delicious looking dish. It was a house special " seafood tower" it was delicious. Fun place very interested in the local community

This Mexican seafood restaurant is a gem enjoyed by both locals and tourists alike and was highly recommended by a local and a couple that was staying at our hotel. Best seafood we’ve ever eaten & we heard that they will even cook the fish you catch in the ocean. If you’re in awe of the glitz and glamour of the overpriced restaurants on 5th Avenue that deliver mediocre food then you’re doing it wrong. The service and attention to detail at this restaurant is second to none. Huge thank you to Jesus and his amazing staff!! We ordered this feast to share for our family of 3: Buzo’s paella with all kinds of fish and meats that my wife and I shared. It’s huge and could be a meal all by itself. We also ordered the mango ceviche that came with all kinds of fish and hit the spot with its perfect combinations of flavor. The restaurant provides you with unlimited chips and salsas to make sure you have enough to enjoy with your entire meal. My daughter isn’t a huge seafood girl so she ordered the grilled chicken that came with guac, chips, and all kinds of spices that made her meal very tasty. And to top it off we ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp with cheese that all 3 of us shared - this was so amazingly good!! As a grand finale the restaurant gave us complimentary mango drinks with tequila (virgin drink for daughter). All this for $60 before tip!! In Chicago suburbs this meal is easily around $150. And on 5th Avenue this would run you well over $100. Thank you Jesus for this amazing meal!! We will never forget it!! When we visit Playa again we will be sure to stop in for another dinner!!

We went for lunch and had very nice welcoming from the owner. Had the ceviche which was awesome! Atmosphere had chill vibe. Highly recommend you won't be disappointed!

Buzos might not look like much from the outside, and if you pass by during the day you might even think it’s closed, but don’t let that fool you — this place is an absolute gem. Once inside, the service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The drinks came out perfectly cold and so refreshing. But the real standout was the ceviche. We ordered the mixed seafood with mango and passionfruit, and it was hands down the best ceviche we’ve had anywhere in Mexico. The flavours were bright, fresh, perfectly balanced, and truly unforgettable. Every bite was incredible. If you’re in Playa del Carmen, Buzos is a must-visit. A true hidden treasure.

We went for Trivia on Tuesdays but were surprised by the food and service. Definitely worth a visit. I had the paella and although it wasn't fine dining quality. It was really good and absolutely massive. It says it is for two people and they were not lieing.

Get the whole snapper!!! Get the whole snapper!!! Ok now that that’s out of the way, everything I’ve had on the menu has been delicious. To be fair, I’ve only been three times while in PDC but still. It’s a great mix of traditional Mexican food at decent prices. When you go you may luck up on a karaoke, bingo, trivia, or live music and other events. It’s got great ambiance, outstanding food, and great service. It’s clean )floors and tables, and menus) and I love that the kitchen area is viewable from most seats. Each time I visited, I’ve felt welcomed and appreciated. Greeted with a warm smile and the patience while I attempt to communicate in my Spanglish. This is a fairly large space that would be great for a special event but also have spaces cozy just for two. It gives al fresco vibes. Nice lighting and walking distance to downtown playa. Did I say get the whole snapper!?!?

This restaurant is a true gem and a must-visit in Playa del Carmen. Located just an 8-minute walk from 5th Avenue, it offers a fantastic dining experience. The tartar de atún is simply outstanding—one of the best I’ve ever tried, with generous portions and exceptional flavor. The food overall is delicious, probably the best I’ve had in Playa. Beyond the food, the service is excellent—fast and efficient. The restaurant provides thoughtful touches like nachos and salad cookies to accompany your meal. It’s also family-friendly, with plenty of space and a dedicated play area for children, making it an excellent choice for all occasions. What truly stands out is the value. The prices are just perfect for the quality and quantity of food you receive, and they deserve more recognition for delivering such a premium experience at reasonable rates.

We stumbled upon this place while on vacation in Playa. And I am so glad we did! We had the best lobster we've EVER had. I had the seafood spaghetti which was fantastic. The Margaritas were perfect, and our server was very attentive. We went at night and the restaurant was packed. There was live music and people were dancing and having a good time. We will patronize this establishment everytime we are in Playa.

Tasty and reasonably priced. Staff as friendly and attentive. There were 5 of us and we ordered 4 dishes and two live lobsters hand picked by us and few drinks and it came to around 3881 pesos. Not bad for all the food we got, we were all very full after !

If you stay in Playa Del Carmen then Buzo’s is a must visit. The extensive list of fish dishes is incredible. It’s reasonably priced and if you fancy spending a bit more than normal then order the lobster tacos...so good. The service is very friendly, the staff are always attentive and on hand. The relaxed atmosphere makes this a very enjoyable evening.

Wife and I had dinner here twice including on our last night in town. Both times were very good. service was very good. A little off the beaten path but worth seeking out. Fresh fish served every night. We were referred here by someone that grew up in town and it was worth it

After reading all the reviews, and i come every year and somehow missed this place, I have discovered that it's a hidden gem far and away from fifth ave, and worth all the time to get there! I had the garlic shrimp wrapped in bacon, a specialty, and it was fantastic! I almost didn't get the lobster, but DID. Cooked to perfection. Go and decide for yourself why the locals go! I know why, it's marvellous and cheap!

Considero un buen lugar de mariscos . A pesar de qué hay demasiadas opciones está es una buena. Las tostadas de marisco están ricas y con buen sabor y vien servidas . Las pescadillas también tienen buen sazón . Sin embargo le falta un shot de entrada . Esto no debe faltar en un restaurant de mariscos

Se come bien. El lugar es inmenso y tiene un escenario para shows y un sector para niños. La atención es muy amable y los precios relativamente moderados. El ceviche de tiras de pescado fue lo mejorcito que probamos. Las empanadas tenían pepitas de naranja dentro o algo super duro así que con cuidado.

Un lugar tranquilo. En todo Playa no había encontrado ostras u ostiones frescos. Deliciosos los ostiones a la Roquefeler. La pescadillas las extrañaba, en Playa te ofrecen empanadas, que NO son lo mismo. Estaban deliciosas. Paella muy bien preparada con las carnes rojas y mariscos. Le faltaba a mi gusto un poco de sabor.

Hacen eventos viernes y sábados, bueno fue lo que me comentaron, de salsa y bachata esta muy excelente, puedes entrar a 1 hora de clases si lo deseas. La comida estaba muy rica, la atención es un poco mala porque había mucha gente y pocos meseros sin embargo el mesero fue amable en los momentos que nos atendió.

Pedimos un ceviche qué no fue el mejor pero estuvo bueno, los ostiones frescos y los camarones al mojo de ajo. 10/10. Lo único malo fue el calor que hace adentro!!

Came on a Monday night at 7pm with a party of 4, and was seated immediately, there was also a weekly bingo night going on which was kinda fun to spectate haha Food: 3.75 rounded up to 4. We ordered: - Fresh fish a la talla: the fish is opened and grilled with a sauce of garlic and peppers. It’s not spicy, but the sauce is super flavorful, and the fish was tender. You pick if you want a medium or large fish, and on the day we were there we couldn’t see the fish tanks, but they brought the fish to the table for us to see. The fish is charged by the kilo, I believe we paid 650 pesos/kg. This dish was the highlight for me! - coconut shrimp: you get about 8-10 w your order over rice and w a side of carrots. The mango sauce it’s served with is super yummy, and the shrimp have a super nice crunch. - mixed ceviche: another crowd pleaser, but the portion size seemed a bit smaller than what was shown in others’ photos (ours was served in a big round drinks glass) - mixed seafood broth: this one was a little disappointing :( I really wanted to like this but it was really salty and kinda tasted like a seafoody tapatio?? There was a good amount of octopus and shrimp in the soup though! - fries: alas I was overly excited by the promise of “triple cooked” but they were pretty soggy :( Overall solid dinner, with fast and attentive service.

El menú de alimentos para eventos esta muy muy pequeño y les faltan mas Ventiladores, el lugar se poner auper caluroso hasta carla camacho en el escenario estaba sudando horrores....imagínense tanta gente ahi metida.

We went for trivia, which was the only trivia night we could find in Playa, but it started over 45 minutes after the advertised starting time and was paid, so we bailed. Decent food, a little on the pricey side but not bad.

It's a fun spot for salsa dancing and good people. It's indoor/outdoor open air environment is great during this time. Very friendly people. Good drinks. Didn't try the food but it looked yummy with a generous portion. My only complaint would be how out of all the fans in that place, only 2 or 3 were on. It's a very hot environment when you're dancing so circulation would have been much desired. Overall, I would recommend for a good time.

La verdad es que fuimos a este show y la audiencia superó la capacidad de loseseros pedi comida una hora de espera pedí una margarita y michelada 40 minutos pedí la cuenta tube que ir yo a pedir mi cuenta para poder salir la verdad no conozco el restaurante de día ni con poca gente a lo mejor y un día de estos valla que no creo

La verdad esta mala la comida El aguachile sin sabor y caliente Y el arroz del otro platillo estaba en mal estado
