We came to celebrate our friend’s birthday. This restaurant is so beautiful in and out. Appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all wonderful. Service was great. The only complaint is probably the music in the bathroom is too loud. The overall ambiance is definitely more energetic so it gets loud inside the restaurant with conversations.

Elia is hands-down the most beautifully decorated restaurant in Pleasanton. The indoor design is elegant and stylish, while the outdoor seating feels like a Mediterranean escape. But the real standout is the outdoor patio — lush greenery, stylish seating, and a cozy fire pit that creates the perfect ambiance for evening dining. Service is top-notch — friendly, professional, and attentive. Whether you’re out for a special night or just want a stunning setting to relax, Elia delivers an exceptional experience.

Staff were friendly, polite and attentive. Staff was always there to refill our water glasses without us asking. Warm, comfortable and elegant atmosphere. Delicious food perfectly presented. The tastes just blended so well together. Even the bread and dip were heavenly! We were able to get a table without a reservation; but then we arrived early.

My husband, my son, and I had dinner here on December 31st, and it was our very first visit. From start to finish, the experience was truly delightful. We enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant. The tzatziki, made with Greek yogurt, Persian cucumber, dill, garlic, mint, and pita, was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The escargot was delicious, the ribeye steaks were tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, and the lamb chops were absolutely finger-licking good. The vegetable sides were perfectly seasoned and cooked, especially the potatoes, which stood out. For dessert, we had the Sokolatina, a warm chocolate cake with melted chocolate and ice cream, simply exquisite. The drinks were excellent as well; it was our first time trying the Evil Eye cocktail, and we loved it. The atmosphere was warm, beautiful and festive. First class service too! We highly recommend this restaurant—100 percent. An unforgettable dining experience we will happily return to.

The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful and the service was super good. They checked in on us so many times and the food was great! Chicken souvlaki was amazing, the cous cous side imo could be replaced with something better I wasn’t a huge fan but the arugula was great. We also liked the lobster pasta and risotto. The filet mignon souvlaki was good too. They gave us a cute baklava for my friends birthday too and were super attentive!

The ambiance was great, so was the food, the service was even better. We ordered about 10 dishes and loved them all with the exception of the cauliflower (it could use a sauce or glaze). We also ordered a few different cocktails which were also all delicious. Highly recommend!

Excellent! We had the prawns and lamb riblets appetizers. I rarely like lamb, but they prepared it perfectly and it was very tasty. Recommend!

This place is amazing. One of the best Mediterranean place in tri-city. We got their calamari, which was really lightly battered and very crispy, the squid inside was firm and succulent. For main course, my wife got their vegetarian moussaka , which had a lot of cheese and my wife liked it. I got their halibut, which probably had one of the best tomato sauce , I ever tasted. My only small complaint is the potato chunks in that dish, were a little undercooked. Our kid ordered the chicken skewers , that came with French fries, he liked it. Altogether, amazing place to visit for a dinner with family or friend.

If you ever have a chance to eat on their patio next to the fire. DO IT! The staging is done with such elegance that it felt like we were eating in a Michelin grade restaurant. The coconut ceviche is so good! It even came IN A COCONUT!

Elia is a fantastic spot for weekend brunch in Pleasanton! The service was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food really impressed us — the lamb chops were juicy and flavorful, and the lobster risotto was rich and perfectly cooked. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Great ambiance for a relaxed yet upscale brunch experience. We’ll definitely be coming back!

A fine Greek restaurant in the Pleasanton area. We went for lunch and made a reservation. Service was a bit slow even though there was not much of a crowd. However the taste was good and the portions were just enough.

Food was delicious. Food was small portion and on the pricier side. Overall we had a good experience there. Went there to celebrate one of our family members’ birthday. At the end of our meal they provided a free baklava to the birthday boy 😎 all the staffs there were super friendly and nice. Service was excellent. Will be back again.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Pleasanton downtown. The atmosphere is perfect for a small group gathering or just for family. Food is great and people are very nice too. The only thing is that it is a little pricier than a typical American style brunch.

We had the most beautiful baby shower today at Elia, and I truly can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was incredibly welcoming, kind, and accommodating. They went above and beyond by printing special menus with the baby shower logo, which was such a thoughtful and personal touch. The service throughout the whole event was amazing, they helped with everything, cut the cake for us, and made sure every guest felt taken care of. The food was excellent (honestly 10/10), and the atmosphere was perfect for celebrating such a special moment. Thank you to the entire Ilia team for giving us an unforgettable three hours. We felt so supported and genuinely cared for. Highly recommend for any special occasion, we’ll definitely be back 💛

Elia is hands-down one of Pleasanton's finest dining experiences. I've been fortunate enough to visit multiple times, and I can confidently say I have never been disappointed. The restaurant provides a truly outstanding meal from start to finish. The journey begins with a fantastic variety of appetizers, which are always fresh and perfectly prepared. But the culinary experience only gets better. Both the main courses and the desserts are exceptionally good. Must-Try Dishes If you visit, these dishes are an absolute must-try—they showcase the kitchen's skill: • Lamb Chops: Tender and perfectly seasoned. • Moussaka: Rich, comforting, and authentic. • Lobster Paella: A luxurious and flavorful main course. • Whole Branzino: Flawlessly prepared and a beautiful presentation. • Ceviche: A refreshing and bright starter. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is simply lovely. Elia offers a nice ambience with comfortable options for seating both inside and outside. To top it all off, their selection of creative cocktails is inventive and pairs perfectly with the Mediterranean flavors. If you are looking for excellent food, great service, and a wonderful setting in Pleasanton, you need to dine at Elia. Highly, highly recommended!

Our group recently dined at Elia in Pleasanton, a restaurant we chose based on its excellent online reviews. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including the Chivici, hummus, grilled seabass, lamb chops, and paella etc. Every dish was well-prepared, but the grilled seabass stood out as truly exceptional. The restaurant's atmosphere and service were also fantastic. I highly recommend a visit—and after your meal, you can enjoy a nice walk through downtown Pleasanton. While parking can be a challenge, a spot can usually be found in the nearby public lot with a little patience.

First thing is this place has one of the nicest decors I’ve seen from restaurants I’ve been to. Finding parking was a pain, but the service at the restaurant was top notch. Some of the dishes were amazing but many of the dishes did not have that wow factor for me personally and were a struggle to finish. Quite expensive as well. My favorites were definitely the lamb chops and lobster pasta, along with this Mukasa dish I believe it was called which had lamb and eggplant.

Visited on a Saturday night for a birthday dinner with a large group. It was cold and raining, and we were seated outside on the covered patio — the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were warm, even bringing cozy blankets for everyone!! Service was excellent! They cut and served the birthday cake for us, which was a nice touch. The flaming cheese appetizer (Saganaki) is a must-try — fun and flavorful. I had the filet mignon souvlaki, which was tender and delicious, and the roasted veggies on the side were delicious! Great food, thoughtful service, and a memorable night despite the weather.

Food was good. I had a pasta dish with lobster and escargot. It was good. A little too rich and the portions were huge. I would have liked something a bit more balanced. We were there a little late and the staff was a little less than polite about it, but not awful. The music was nice. Wine list waaaay too expensive. There is nothing that says you don't care about your customers than overpriced wine. Just because you can get away with it doesn't mean you should. Be a bit more classy and you will get a restaurant that is full at 10 pm and can hire nicer waiters. Sorry. I wish I had gone to the Mom and pop family restaurant for my $99 meal for my wife and me.

This location has a beautiful interior and exterior that sets the mood for a fine dining experience with a price to match.... However, the food did not match. The presentation was nice but out felt like the seasoning was non existent. When advertising authentic Greek we were expecting a very full flavor profile and unfortunately it expectations were not met. We tried the scallops, calamari, lamb shanks, fillet and three cocktails. Total $201. The cocktails were the best part. Service was not quick. Or table was cleared and wasted refilled twice before we were able to flag down the water for the check. The table was empty for 30 minutes.

Very disappointing. My wife and I were excited to eat brunch here because we were impressed with dinner at the Walnut Creek location. I ordered steak and eggs and the portion was laughable as if they ran out of steak and gave me a couple scraps of trim. My wife had the Greek breakfast plate, which for the most part did not seem authentic, or house-made, but rather an assortment of items we could have made at home from Trader Joe’s. Otherwise, the ambience was nice.

Took my wife here last night to celebrate valentine and we were both sadly disappointed in our $400+ meal. To preface this and to be fair the night started off well. We arrive half hour early had a drinks by the bar and got sat down on time. It was while waiting for our main course that things really led me to write this review. I understand yesterday may be busy and my wife and I do our best to understand but between course 2 (consist of 3 pieces of oyster and 1 piece scallops) that we wait for almost over an hour for our main course. We had to ask our server to check on it twice and when we told the server if we aren't getting our course soon we wanted to leave. And what we ended up getting was not advertise. And this is what we ordered: 1. Fried goat cheese, roasted tomatoe soup 2. Scallops, and oyster 3. Ribeye and the half lobster What we ended up getting is fliet mignon skewers (due to the ribeye sold out) fine But my half lobster became two small lobster with some sort of rice. Which is a farcry from what was on the menu. But hey at least they comp our drinks but I wish they had also waive the mandatory 20% service fee for a disappointing dinner. We ended up having to something on the way home.

Atmosphere and service was great, but the food really fell short. The artichoke was not fresh grilled artichoke, but instead the ones that come pickled in a jar, so not sure why that’s a 17$ appetizer for something that probably cost them 2$ to put together. Also the shrimp was so hard and overcooked we had to send it back. The octopus just really lacked flavor and the beans it came with felt like straight out of a can, overall seemed very cheap. The coconut ceviche was just ok, it was definitely an interesting combination. The lamb riblets were good, but definitely tasted old and reheated/ burned. We also got coffee which came out lukewarm and was very dark, I’m assuming not a fresh brew. The Greek cheesecake was nice though! Definitely won’t be coming back
