A rather small, somewhat out-of-the-way restaurant, but extremely delicious. With super friendly and extremely professional service staff. The welcome from the kitchen left us wanting more. And we weren't disappointed! Small portions, but just right! The food was beautifully presented. The wine was perfectly selected to complement our menu. Highly recommended 👍

Going to La Polveriera is an experience. We had been there during the day and returned in the evening. What can I say? A magical atmosphere. Quality, refinement, thoughtfulness, so much kindness. They really deserve only compliments. Well done guys. See you next time... magic!

What an incredible surprise! Nestled in the narrow streets of Pontedera, La Polveriera is a prime spot: the dishes are astonishingly composed, and the origins of the ingredients are astonishing! The staff is excellent and knows how to showcase the dishes. The atmosphere is refined, and the decor is tasteful. I highly recommend this place.

5 stars are very few... My boyfriend and I went last night to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere was super welcoming and romantic, the service impeccable, and the food was very unique yet delicious. Kudos to the super-kind waiters who explained everything they brought to us. I recommend it if you like fruity wines, mango, and passion fruit. We'll definitely be back.

A simply perfect experience this evening at the "La Polveriera" restaurant in Pontedera! 5 stars without hesitation for the quality of the food, service, and ambiance. Of the three tasting menus, I opted for the à la carte option, choosing the fresh tagliatella with burnt pesto, grilled rabbit ragù, and ash cream: delicious! I then opted for the pistachio mousse, cocoa biscuit, orange peel, and passion fruit spheres. Excellent. Even more surprising was the rich and imaginative welcome entrée, featuring a flute of sparkling wine and a selection of homemade, naturally leavened breads. I'd say dinner during my business trip to Pontedera couldn't have gone better!

Elegant and modern place, with nice and very relaxing background music. The staff is very attentive and kind: having booked with the fork, when I arrived the girl who sat me at the table knew my name and had taken note of the allergies I had indicated in the reservation. I really appreciated the attention to the customer starting from the amuse-bouche offered together with a glass of prosecco, bread and whipped butter. You can choose from 3 tasting menus (sea, land, vegetarian) but also à la carte dishes. I opted for the vegetarian menu. In general I appreciated all the dishes, but in particular the "horizontal" aubergine and the black garlic linguine. The dessert was also very good. After paying, I was offered an amaro and I stayed to chat with the girls of the staff at the entrance who made me feel a bit at home. If you pass by Pontedera I highly recommend it!

Piatti presentati in maniera molto carina. Qualità buona. Non ho apprezzato il risotto, secondo me poco cotto. Ma è soggettivo. Una cosa che non mi è piaciuta è che si è obbligati a scegliere il menù degustazione,visti i prezzi dei singoli piatti (sopra la media) e si è obbligati anche a scegliere il solito menù se siamo più persone. Excellent restaurant just off the main street in Pontedera. A well-kept restaurant with professional, impeccable service. You can also eat in the internal garden, but the mosquitoes devoured us in 10 minutes, making it necessary to move to the inside dining room. We enjoyed the three-course seafood menu, and everything was excellent (perhaps the gyoza were a little undercooked). Otherwise, everything was very good: meticulously prepared, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients. We'll definitely return to try the meat menu. Well done! P.S. The background music wasn't to my liking... I'd much rather have some good jazz in the background.

It has been a pleasant quick dinner for me and my veggie colleague. Really researched place with a warm feeling all over. Food with a good level of quality and variety. Perfect if you want to have some vegetarian choice in the menù.

The place is very beautiful and well-kept. The service is attentive, professional, and the timing is more than right. As for the food, unfortunately, after an excellent start, the quality gradually declined. The entrees, with homemade breads, butter, and three truly interesting tastings, were very welcome. The three standard dishes had two main problems: - the small portions. We left hungry despite having three courses plus a dessert, in addition to the initial freebies. The main course had no side dish (a potato slice). The appetizer was half a Portobello mushroom, with the stem removed. Too small. We also noticed unintentional portion differences (especially for the first course and dessert) between different diners. - the courses (first and second courses) arrived cold. The dish was cold, the sauce poured over it was barely warm, which meant that after two bites the dish was objectively cold. Too bad. We had high expectations, but unfortunately, it was a decline. We'll try it again.

I'll begin by regretting having to leave such a review, but it's my duty to share my experience with other diners. Like every weekend, we meet up with a group of friends and take the opportunity to have our first Christmas dinner together at the Polveriera in Pontedera. We enter and find a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We're escorted to our table and split into two groups. I personally ordered crudités, Martelli spaghetti, and a dessert. The raw ham was good, slightly small in size, but good. I chose the Martelli spaghetti because it had two ingredients that I thought would appeal to my palate: scamorza and anchovy sauce. In reality, these two ingredients weren't present. The dessert, however, was very good, its mango cleansing the palate and sweetening the otherwise bitter dinner, which is why my review ends there. We were greeted rather coldly, but it could have been the rush and frenzy of a Saturday night. In reality, what awaited us was much more disturbing: the service from a waiter who was almost annoyed by our presence, by our questions about details of the dishes, and above all, I will never forgive the rudeness shown to the ladies who asked for clarification regarding bottles of rosé to accompany the dishes. While I absolutely loved some of the dishes, except for the spaghetti, dining is an element of conviviality par excellence, and courtesy, especially towards a polite and respectful customer who is curious about culinary experiences, is absolutely untouchable. I truly regret having to leave this kind of review because, as you can see on my profile, I am very keen to praise dining and restaurateurs. There are elements that not even a good raw ham can make me forget.
