Great pizza and beer. Friendly staff and made you feel welcome. Nice ambiance.
The service was very good and we ordered a "Menu del Giorno", with good salad and a delicious pasta. At the end we were graciated with complimentary brioche and croissant, a courtesy that makes us happy. Very good service!!
Came here after a lengthy Vatican tour after seeing a group eat pizza on their patio. We went back and had the best time. Simple place, but best pizza I have had in Italy after being here for a full month. Very friendly staff.
We had a special dinner and did not expect the food to be so good. The carbonara pasta was excellent and the Tiramisu was great to say nothing of the service. Our waiter was on point in everything he recommended. Nice place to ha ve a meal.
We had 2 fabulous meals in the same day. We had delicious pasta and pizza. The service is amazing. We highly recommend this adorable spot.
Service was amazing and super friendly. We were immediately greeted with warm hospitality Came for lunch and had some lemocello and suppli al ragú di carne. All of this I would recommend specifically the suppli. The strechy mozzarella coming out and crispy pasta was phenomenal. My only regret was not taking photos and diving straight in.
Amazing lasagna just steps from the Vatican! We stumbled upon this place after visiting the Vatican, and it was an absolute gem. The lasagna was incredible—perfectly baked with rich meat sauce, creamy béchamel, and a golden crispy top. The staff was friendly and quick, and despite being in a touristy area, the restaurant had a cozy, authentic vibe. Prices were very reasonable given the location. Highly recommended for anyone craving a delicious Italian classic!
We spent the whole day in the Vatican museum and decided to grab a bite before heading back to the city. The best choice! It’s a small shop and when we visited there were only two people there (I guess the server and the cook) so the service was not that fast but that’s not problem since the overall place is good to just sit and relax! Please be patient with the stuff! The server was one of the few that were polite! The food was tasty and really good value for money!
We stumbled upon Caffè di Porta Castello after we visited Castel Sant’Angelo and we’re so glad we did! The food was incredibly fresh and the portion sizes were great. The waitress was so kind and patient as we ordered, and the owner was so welcoming. They have a good selection of food - we ordered a burger, omelette, and salad. The prices were also reasonable. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area!
We found this place by chance while going to the Vatican and it was such a pleasant surprise. We were served by Thomas, one of the kindest waiters we’ve ever had. The menu was really economical and the pasta was amazing. Also, we had never tried the Supplì and they were wonderful. Definitely a place to keep in mind when you’re in this part of Roma!
Very good Menu for 10€: Pinsa (Pizza), Espresso and 0,5 l which is compared to the other Restaurants outstanding. The Pizza is very tasty with good Dough !
I enjoyed la pinsa Romana "Roma" which was very tasty, cooked to perfection and crispy base. The cacio e pepe was also great. Good for a quick pitstop and meal, service was satisfactory. Bathrooms are very dirty, even from a male perspective. Overall enjoyable meal, prices a little on the high end for Rome, outside centro.
Nice location with sidewalk tables. Owner and staff were friendly upon arrival and during ordering. Big disappointment here was server’s insistence when check arrived that I pay by cash. They take credit cards but he wanted cash and wouldn’t budge when I asked to pay by card. Likely a ploy to try to get a tip from the change. Immediately thereafter he did the same to the tables on either side of us. They too pleaded to use credit cards but he insisted on cash. None of us were happy. I do carry some cash in Rome but reserve that for emergencies. So his greed for cash depleted my pocket money so I had to find an ATM right after which is a pain and costly. Also, they offered sliced pork when we ordered our first drinks. Was tasty but €15 for 2 slices was over priced and a surprise.
Firstly when you see the menu you think „wow, that’s cool and prices are ok” , but when you see the real dishes - you will feel cheated. Menu says oat milk, almond milk, matcha latte - but barista tells „we don’t have anything like that” and the waiter says we will make oat for you - and brings the regular and charges you for it sandwich for 6€ looks like this don’t recommend at all!
Atmosphere was mediocre. The service if you don’t have an adult male at your table, the male servers will drop food and abandon your table and then leave you a ticket to pay when you’re not even finished with your food. Nor will they offer to go boxes or take a dirty plates off of your table as the bill sits on the table. Try the pizzeria closer to the cathedral. Don’t waste your money here if you’re traveling with just females or a mom with her kids. The house red wine I had was tasty. Food was warm and the pasta was undercooked.
