I am a wholesom ingredients food enthusiast!! This place checks every box. Chakra Bowl is the only place I will order food in the all of Eastdale. Why? Whole food, fresh clean ingredients! Dressing with olive oil, not seed oil. Healthy and creative dishes. Well thought out. That's first and foremost. Hip clean (and cozy, bohemian style) establishment, hence its name. Service staff, are sweet and kind.

Pricy, with delcious vegan options. Friendly warm staff too. ❤️ Popped in for lunch as a first timer and got their vegan hot wrap with red quinoa, sweet potatoes, etc., so great!! With a bottle of green juice and three vegan cookies, this one-person lunch came to a shocking-to-me $58. 😬 Would get the wrap again for sure, and wash it down next time with my own water bottle.

I absolutely love this place! The bowls are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The toasts are very good too. They use fresh, high-quality ingredients that make every bite feel like a treat. If you’re into healthy, wholesome food, this spot is a must-visit. The boho vibe adds such a cozy, laid-back atmosphere, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The staff is super friendly, and the whole experience just feels like a breath of fresh air.

I love this place so much I wish they had a spot in beacon! But I’m just being selfish. I tried them at a local event and had been craving them since. So much that I’ve gone every week the past month. I love the soul bowl so much, it’s my favorite. The girls at the front are always pleasant. I usually go during the week when I’m off and it’s perfect and quiet. It’s become my go to and I can’t get enough. If I lived nearby I’d go everyday!

The food is really good. It's a bit pricey. $52 pls tip for 2 people for lunch, but it's good healthy food. When I eat there I make it more my dinner. The warm quinoa bowls are excellent as is the soup and toast.

***11/5/22 update*** The place moved to a new spot. It's in a new retail development, not in the old "back alley". The new location is much more spacious, with many other retail shops nearby. *** The food was really good, as well as the service. We waited about 10 minutes for the food to be available for us to take out, which was completely acceptable. We were there at around 2:30pm on a Saturday, so it was pretty quiet. They have an large array of traditional bowls (salad type), as well as smoothie bowls (kind of like a smoothy, but with lots of chunks of fruit and such, so you eat it with a spoon).

Chakra Bowls is different and a healthy option which is definitely something Poughkeepsie needs! The smoothie bowls are delicious and always taste fresh. They take their time to make the presentation of the bowls look beautiful as well. I always have a pleasant experience here and recommend coming here!

Delicious food. Great service. I had the Hudson Valley bowl while my husband had the Indulgent bowl. This was my first time visiting, but I look forward to trying the other items on the menu. The bowls are about $12 each.

Clean and cute Zen Cafe in the enclave of Eastdale ( Town of Poughkeepsie) where strolling is encouraged and easy. The salads are freshly prepared with fun ingredients but portions are on the small side. Two salads set us back $38 plus tip. NYC prices. Service was lovely and attention was made to avoid serving me any allergens. Street tables and inside options.

Looked over the menu but did not see exactly what I wanted. Cashier asked what I would like. “Acai bowl with bananas/blueberries and granola.” She said, you want the breakfast bowl then. Not to waste her time, I said whatever has those items. I arrived home with what looked like a good size serving bowl of light brown puree with fruit and granola. Puree tasted bland. Clearly no Açaí. Looked online and realized yes, breakfast bowl and no, no Acai. Personally did not enjoy this at all. Very disappointed I did not reiterate Açaí when I said I wanted the items in a bowl I asked for. Place was very clean and cashier was very pleasant. There was no reason I should have felt rushed to order. There was no line. Ordering via online for pickup perhaps would have been better.

I'm not sure what happened. Everyone seems to love this place. But I got the nourish bowl and it was super bland. They were out of avocado and when I asked about an alternative vegetarian protein, the two staff snickered. After going through the list, we found that they had chickpeas. My bowl wasn't that big and the amount of "protein" i.e. chickpeas was about 1/4 cup. I paid almost $20 for what was essentially a medium sized salad. Maybe it was just a bad day. I might try again as I like to support local places but I was disappointed. Update: I haven’t returned yet, but the owner called the day my review posted and apologized and asked me to return and try again. I thought that was really nice to be paying so much attention. I will try again when I need to get a salad! Second update: went back today. Food was great and tasted fresh. I had the soup (vegan) and toast…. Very good. Nice to be served in a real bowl. Would love to see some coffee drinks. Third and last update: Went in for late lunch with a friend. Maybe 30-45 minutes before they closed. The staff just simply are not that nice. They barely acknowledge you and act bored when you’re ordering, not a great welcome. I think it was one of the same staff members that I dealt with the first time I went. As we got close to the time they close they started cleaning the tables around us and putting up chairs while we were trying to finish our lunch. Spraying smelly cleaner, sweeping by our feet. It’s too bad because the owner seems to be very nice but I probably would replace some of the front line staff if it were my business.

Been going here since they opened. Went today and found a hair in my smoothie bowl. I politely talked to one of the staff and she told me that since the bowl was half eaten that she could only remake a half of a bowl. She continued to say it’s none of their hair. I told her I wouldn’t be back and other staff member shrugged and said “oh well” Their customer service has gone down hill and prices have also substantially increased.
