Avis sur Mochinut Poway
I preordered 5 dozen assorted Mochinut for a baby shower. This was the dessert the mom to be wanted to serve her guests. We tried the red velvet, the chocolate, the funnel cake, the original and the strawberry. They were delicious, boxed and ready to go at the designated time. It was my first experience and a very good one.
Amazing! My teenage son went in here with a friend. The staff treated them like family. They say the food was good as well. I cant thank the staff enough for treating my boys with love! Picture is the hot Cheetos corn dog.
Waited out the grand opening lines and stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon with my daughter who was starving after school let out. We have been to the Convoy location several times, and they currently don't serve rice dogs, so we were happy this store serves them. There was only one customer ahead of us. The donuts and rice dogs were made to order, hot, and delicious. We love mochi and these mochi donuts, and they tasted as expected, light, sponges, not too sweet. I had no complaints about the service. They are on the pricey side, but they are definitely a treat. For those who prefer large portions for the price, this isn't the place. I am disappointed with the negative reviews for grand opening weekend as they aren't a regular donut shop, and they also offered a free item on Instagram that weekend, which would also draw big crowds and cause the business to run out of products. The regular donut flavors are original (glazed) and churro, and the remaining flavors rotate for the weekday and weekend and are posted on Instagram. If you've never tried mochi donuts or rice dogs, I'd recommend following them on Instagram to check for the flavors for the weekday/weekend, and trying them at least once. We will definitely be back!
LOVED the brown sugar boba. The boba was tender yet squishy (not soggy at all) & overall very enjoyable. The hot cheeto half & half corndog was good. We could’ve done without sugar on the potato half and half corndog (we did ask for it as an add-on).
It's probably one of the best experiences I've ever had when eating a donut! I will definitely be back! I even had them the day after, and it was like I just bought them! 10/10 recommend!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Loved it I will definitely come back. The donuts where different than normal and way better and the hot dogs “the best!”. I would say it’s more of a mozzarella stick but what ever it is it’s amazing!

Friendly staff and great little donut, corndogs and drinks place to try!!
Surprised to see a lot of bad reviews. The guy was very friendly and it wasn't busy when we went. Yes it's a bit pricier than regular donuts but it's so hard to make them (and connect each dough balls to make them look like Mochi Nut donuts) I think it's worth the price for a special occasion.
Mochinut is delicious! Kaitlin, the server behind the counter, was so helpful in my family choosing our flavors. Why eat normal donuts when you can have mochi donuts? Not too sweet, chewy, delicious, and sharable. My family cuts up all of the mochi nubs and shares the flavors for a cost efficient treat!

The matcha tea with boba was spot on! The mochi donuts are very yummy. Why 4 star? Brown sugar milk tea was way too sweet, only 4 donuts flavors to choose from, very long line and wait, also the staff was so busy it’s almost like they were “put out” to take orders and not very welcoming. I hoping these kinks will get worked out as they are a new location.
The mochinuts are good! The corn dogs were a bit overkill and too sweet with batter. The boba is good too just adjust sugar amount and ice. Overall I'd want to try the different mochinut flavors.
A little bit pricey but the mochinut is chewy and flavorful. We got the ube, strawberry and funnel chocolate flavors and was superb

These doughnuts are just amazing especially right off the grill… 3 for $$10..

Upon walking inside there doesn’t appear that anyone is working until the worker came out and asked if that was all the donuts they had. DIONNA just nodded her head. We let her know we had a Groupon to use there for $20. My brother and I both ordered a boba each and decided to take the last raspberry mochi donut. There was an additional plane donut left and my brother asked if there was anything we could add to it so that we could reach the $20 we needed to spend. She just shook her head, literally no help at ALL. I understand if you’ve had a long day at work whatever, everyone has but you are getting paid to do something still. I think the pink star she had on her face was more amusing than speaking to her because it felt like I was talking to a post. Absolutely no customer service, and couldn’t even at least tried to speak until I asked if I could have less sugar on my boba which she said she couldn’t change 🙄. Other people would have suggested what we could get, tried to accommodate for not having anything made, etc. Worst first experience honestly and it was not even late! it was around 5 when we went and they close at 8. She didn’t bother to give us a straw for the boba either which we hadn’t realized since she gave us everything in a bag. The raspberry mochi donut was chewy and pretty good not too sweet at all. The milk tea boba is extremely sweet so if you don’t like sweet drinks I wouldn’t recommend it. The brown sugar boba is surprisingly less sweet and tastes creamier than the milk tea. However It is still odd to me that this business closes at 8 and if they sell out of all the donuts, they don’t bother to make more? and rely on selling drinks? And maybe other “food” they offer.
The diameter of straw is too small and doesn’t fit the boba size. It caused the difficulty while I was drinking my tea.

Sorry, but their donuts are way overpriced and chewy and you can taste the oil. Semi awful.

I've had Mochinut before, and these disappointing. These were REALLY chewy. Almost gummy, and the flavors were mediocre; looked cute though! For seating they only have 1 small spot inside (not wheelchair accessible seating), and one small table outside (accessible). No restrooms here at all.
We were excited to try the place and looked online prior and saw they had a wide range of flavors like ube, taro, mango, etc. After waiting for about 20 minutes to get inside, they said they only have a small number of flavors available each week. We ended up getting original, funnel, strawberry and Tira msu. The flavors were okay. With the wait time and lack of flavor selection, we don't plan on coming back.
It was awful. I waited 20 minutes for one corn dog. The lady making it was moving the dough with her finger for what seemed like an hour. I asked for a plain Cheeto dog and they gave me a corn dog that had this horrid sauce on it after I asked for it specifically with NO SAUCE.

Unfortunately, the store is getting worse. I regularly go there in the evening and with only one employee (badly trained) service is getting slower and slower. The store has been getting dirtier, food quality was not good the last time (pretty burnt), and they are regularly out of things from boba to sauce. I wanted to give the store a chance as I liked the food and the people are generally nice, but I don't know if I'm going back. Cleanliness and consistent quality are really important to me, but doesn't seem to be important to the owner. And if they don't want to spend the money to keep the store stocked and staffed properly then I'm not sure why it is open until 8pm...which really isn't that late. I hope they get better....
The service was horrible, workers making out in the back when we walked in. The corn dog was burnt to a crisp. My donut was chewy like rubber. Gross. Boba was Mid.
