I have no idea what this place’s rating is not higher. I had fried egg noodles with chicken and it was great. So was their spring rolls. Already added to my return spots and positivity recommend.
Pho Ca Dao & Grill always satisfies. Their food is authentic and always arrives hot and fresh. The atmosphere is pleasant, it's not a restaurant you would find at the 4-Seasons but it's not a "hole-in-the-wall" either, just nice, clean, and pleasant. Sometimes there may be a slight language barrier but that is to be expected when you go for authentic. You can't go wrong for a very tasty, reasonably priced, authentic Vietnamese food experience. BTW: A bowl of Pho is fantastic for breakfast and a great way to start your day!
Hot and fresh food. Pleasant and attentive server. We got a plate of broken rice with egg meatloaf and the Lemongrass Grilled Beef Phở.
Had ordered the brisket pho. The soup was so good. It wasn’t like other pho restaurants I went to. I also barely post any reviews but this restaurant and the staff really was kind. Ordered the tri-pudding (D5). Didn’t really know how to use it at first but the server showed and helped me and even gave me the pudding I ate that I ate the wrong way so I could really enjoy the food. God bless these guys I am so blessed with such a kind restaurant. Glory to God. Atmosphere and the place is very clean and spacious looks like a 5 star restaurant and if I could give them a ten star I would.
Had such a nice dinner here last night. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, perfect for a quiet meal. I ordered the creamy mushroom tagliatelle, and it was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in a long time — rich, earthy, and full of flavor. Service was friendly and professional. Will definitely return.
This is some of the most delicious and authentic food we have ever found. Always fresh and the service is friendly and quick. The prices can't be beat either. My wife has a favorite #66. I keep trying new dishes. Everything I try is fantastic and hers is consistently good. We are very happy with everything and return often. We see a lot of people do carry out, but we eat there every time.
Food was flavorful and all ingredients were super-fresh. It was delivered to the table pretty soon after I ordered. Service was good and the wheeled delivery robot adds a touch of intrigue. Not many others there when I ate, but it feels like the kind of place that wouldn't fire up much even if it was busy, so atmosphere gets 3 stars.
Absolutely delicious, the servers were kind and we never had empty cups. The food was divine and we have found a place my brother begs us to return to.
I keep coming back over and over again! Friendly staff especially Emma who remember I like spicy flavor, bringing spicy sauce before my dish arrives. Price is good. Good restaurant for community!
I selected this restaurant at random from all the restaurants in Poway and was so happy that we went there. The atmosphere was nice and quiet and the service was great. The food was all five star. The ice water was nice and refreshing. The appetizer we got were really good. We got Vietnamese chicken wings, and shrimp spring rolls. For our main course, we all got pho. One of us got the beef pho, one of us got the shrimp pho, and the last one got a mixture of beef cuts in that pho. All I can say is you should definitely go there. You will not be disappointed.
Got takeout for meatball and rare steak Pho, five out of five because the broth was good, and I’m usually hesitant about getting Ramen or pho because they never put enough toppings, noodles or broth for the price I pay, but this location really did hook it up with everything. Will definitely come again!
What a cool place, with great food, and a cute robot! Was pleasantly surprised to see how nicely appointed the restaurant was. Very inviting and plenty of details in the decor to look at. We were immediately seated, and the staff was kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Pho Tai for my buddy and ribeye pho for me with salad rolls. Broth was hot and not overly oily, and the add-on ingredients were fresh. Really tasty pho. The salad rolls were wrapped perfectly and very fresh. Overall impressions from this first timer were extremely positive. Will be returning so I can check out other menu items and see the robot again!
We had a wonderful time at pho ca dao in poway. We like these resutaurant chains for their good tasting pho and service. They are able to accompdate big groups no problem.
So glad they opened the Poway location! Consistently good food, amazing pho and the servers are always friendly and really quick to bring our meals out. No matter what we order we start with lemongrass beef rolls, they are a must! The wings we tried (salt n pepper and garlic) were also a delight. The parking lot seems a little small here, but so far we haven't had a problem finding parking. Wheelchair accesible entrance.
So thrilled to find such a good bun cha grilled pork, meat so tender and packed with perfect balance of flavour and smokiness, pho is also very good and comforting, server was friendly and helpful tho not fluent, that language barrier might be considered rude by some people.
Stopped because I saw several locations while visiting the area. Figured if they have more than one restaurant, they must be good. I was right. Food was excellent and super fresh. Lettuce and tomato’s in the chicken salad tasted as if they had just been picked from the field. Sauces with the salad and grilled pork were super tasty. I will return!
We picked up the food for dinner. A delicious Vietnamese dinner. It was well packed. We had to prepare our bowls with the items we wanted. A happy family dinner together. 🤩
One of the beautiful version. The veggie options are limited but tasty. Boba teas are always the best. The ceiling and oil painting are very artistic. Friendly staff. Paperless receipt transaction. Bar stools and huge TVs gives sports bar feel.

I don’t give many reviews but I love the pho here so much that I had to make sure to give it a review. Specifically the lemon grass beef is amazing! I come here at least once a month for it specifically. The service is also amazing and the people are very friendly.

Food came fast, it's tasty not the worse thing I've had. I was looking for a spoon and I'm not a fan of keeping them at the table for everyone to touch and this is why, it's just not sanitary. Now I'm afraid of what else goes on places I can't see 😬
The ambience and decor were beautiful if you appreciate little details. We were seated immediately and service was excellent. Food is good, average I would say. The robotic server was super cool and was the highlight of our dinner. Nice location with ample parking.

Starting off with the review that they certainly have the best fresh rolls in San Diego. The rolls have grilled meats, I picked out the BBQ beef and shrimp and it was the best ones I've ever had. Now with the soup. The soup offers a robust beer flavor, the toppings are generous and meaty, and the noodles have a satisfying bouncy chew without it feeling rubbery. The downside is that the starch from the noodles releases into the broth, making the soup cloudy over time. This isn't as desirable as the broth Is already modestly seasoned. I would come back here though for sure.

The food was good, but not my crunchy rice noodle nest with seafood on top. I got a flat hard to cut tortilla thickness noodles that only had (plenty) shrimp and lots of veggies. Sauce was good but not the traditional creamy tan sauce I love. Not ordering that again.
Service was not great, mainly the girls that greet you and take orders, they are just not very polite or professional, this happened every time I was here. Back of the house seems to run well, food is good and comes out pretty fast. You can taste the difference between this location and others, this one seems to be more toned down version of food compared to other places.
Pho broth is good, the small size has too much noodle with little broth which make everything luke warm. I ordered Soda Chanh Muoi, asking twice but it didn’t come until I finished the food, too little chanh muoi and lots of sugar, wouldn’t order it again. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all at the time.
I’m not even a fan of this restaurant chain. But since we were lazy and craving Vietnamese food, we decided to stop in. Had low expectations but surprisingly, it wasn’t bad. They used to not offer broken rice but they do now and the grilled bbq meat was flavorful. It comes in a block which is northern style. Shaken beef with garlic rice was also made with broken rice. The cubed beef was soft and had the flavor but extremely chewy. Pho filet came with meatballs. Soft and thin filet. The broth was a bit salty for me but with just a few limes, I got it to my liking. Also came with bone marrow. We ordered classic spring rolls as take out. Glad we gave this place another chance during lunch. It’s the same menu all day.
Food was great and the restaurant looks amazing definitely lack of costumer service the guy literally put the water on our table without saying a single word. How rude, and the cashier is awful we asked for peanut butter sauce but we never got it 😞 They never pick up our plates during the whole time and they were really slow.
I ordered fried tofu soup and asked for tofu on the side with no luck so it got super soggy. The broth was good but my sprouts were all browning and didn't look fresh. I ordered broken rice plate with chicken and beef for my husband and it was disappointing. The meat was over cooked and most of the beef was all fat with little to no actuall meat. Seems like prep work is a little sloppy lazy with cutting pots out of tomatoes and the slicing and prepping of meats.

I order pho from this place regularly. Food is decent but they do not package your food properly for delivery. At least one of my orders a week comes spilled over into the bag. This has become a problem. I will cease ordering from this place until they can better package orders for delivery.
I don't really know how to rate this place. I usually get my Vietnamese sandwiches in North Park, but I was out this way today. The sandwich was particularly small and I feel like they made it that way because of the area we are in. Charge more, give less type thing. I have never in my life had a Vietnamese sandwich that was so small 🤷 but it was very good just small portions for the amount of money you spend
Went into this place at 810 with a closing time of 9. After being sat, server came right over with water and asked us what we would like. I stated we just sat can we have a minute. The servers response was “the kitchen closes in 15 minutes and going home in 5 minutes. You have to hurry up”. So we left. I will not be going here ever. I can’t comment on food because of the servers rudeness.
Walked in restaurant, no one to greet you or say welcome in, we will be right with you. Finally began to order 2 kids meal, he say only 1 child so he said we couldn't order 2 kids meals, my daughter said she wanted the smaller soup and he kept saying we can't order 2. Then we ordered 2 orders of grilled pork fresh rolled one order with noodles inside. Then he brings shrimp fresh rolls and none of us ordered any shrimp at all, he was frustrated when we told him we ordered the grilled pork, he finally comes back with grilled pork fresh rolls, we told him we ordered a 2nd order with no noodles and he proceeds to say we can't do that, we asked why Then he grabbed the fresh rolls proceeded to walk away with them we said we ordered that we just need our 2nd order he continued to walk away with the order so we left the restaurant. Horrible horrible service and we will never go back. In all my 54 years of eating in restaurants I have never had a server act in this manner
The 2 plates of rice were cold when picked up at 1:00PM. The grilled chicken, pork, beef way over cooked, dried and tasteless as if they spent the previous night in the fridge. Leftover from last night service? The rice was not the fragrant jasmine that is a rule for all Vietnam ese restaurants serving broken rice plates. No lettuce and tomato in the food containers. Very unacceptable. Very disappointing. My dachshund enjoyed her surprised treats!
I was hoping for a good Vietnamese place to open in poway. Sadly the first visit was quite underwhelming. Grilled chicken came out cold. It was amazing how dry the meat were in the pho noodle soup. Worst offense was the utensils. We had to ask twice before they could give us victories that was caked with boys of dried noodles. At least the noodles were cooked correctly. Between the green wait staff and long waits, I recommend going to RB cadao.
After coming here for many years every single Sunday, today was our worse experience and food was horrible. Soup was super salty and on top of that there was a piece of plastic in my food looked like part of a glove. I showed the lady in the registered and she looked offended that I found someone thing in my food. She said do you want to purchase something else and added $11 to herself as tips. I told her she never came to ask if we needed drinks and food was horrible for the first time and she has the audacity to add $11 in tips. She said you have to pay it and that’s it, it’s not for me it’s for the employees and it’s the policy. I said okay but because of this horrible experience you just lost $100 every Sunday because that’s how much we spend every single Sunday and she said, that’s fine with me.
The server charged my credit card TWICE, at $183 a pop, after a family birthday dinner with a hefty 20% gratuity automatically added in. Called the restaurant and the hostess promised the manager would call me back if I sent her the appropriate info, but now I hear crickets from Pho Ca Dao and I have to dispute the extra charge with my credit card company.
On Tuesday evening I went in and ordered two orders of fresh springs rolls with fish sauce. I have been insanely sick ever since with Salmonella, which has been confirmed by the hospital through tests. That’s the only thing I have eaten all week and prior to getting sick, so it was confirmed that this is what caused the Salmonella. Side note, I also found what appeared to be a bug in my fish sauce.
Incompetent! No silverware in you're take out bag, did not put my egg in my lemon grass ribeye plate. You would think ones order would be correct for the premium prices you are charging. Save your money and do not order from here go somewhere else
***UPDATE*** Went back to the Poway location and needles to say was pretty disappointed. When we got there we were really surprised how empty they were but after that last dining experience we understood why. Every thing outside of pho we ordered was pretty bad. I got the BBQ pork banh mi which I think I can say was the worst banh mi I've ever eaten. Still hungry since I couldn't eat the whole thing, I ordered the Salt and Pepper wings. First off it didn't look like as was described but our server insisted it was correct. Upon taking the first bite the chicken was undercooked (see photo). Then when we asked if they could just strike it from our bill (since I lost my appetite) they said they can't but could only recook it. Hate to be so critical but with the poor service we received on top of such mediocre food we won't be going back.

I placed the order on DoorDash, and ordered the shrimp spring rolls. I ordered an advance so I can grab and go, but when I got there, the food wasn’t ready. As soon as I did get my food, they made my order wrong. The person at the restaurant didn’t even try to fix it, they just said that they’ll refund my order. When I really just want the spring roll with shrimp. I didn’t think it would be this hard to mess up a shrimp spring roll, but instead they added beef or pork. And I explained to the man at the restaurant that I don’t eat red meat, and he didn’t choose to fix the order. He just wanted to refund it, the restaurant was not busy at all.
