My husband and I have been here twice now. We have not eaten here yet but we have had drinks. Our favorite is the Patron Tower. The music is good, the drinks are good, the staff are friendly. This is a nice place to spend your Saturday night.

We had a blast. The drinks are delicious and the Daily Catch was cooked to perfection. Sadey was a wonderful host and really made our day!

I went on a Thursday evening for smooth R&B. The DJ was amazing. He played such a good mix of upbeat R&B. Mine and my dates food was prepared to perfection and delicious. We had the short ribs, shrimp, jer chicken and fries. My server customized my drink for me and it as EVERYTHING! This place has such a chill, moody vibe. I'll definitely be returning.

Fun atmosphere and good food/drink.

My husband and I don't like alot of the same flavors. But when we challenged the bartender to make us a drink we could share, we were so impressed! Really great, friendly and knowledge staff.

We had a fantastic experience. The food was great and the bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable,made fantastic drinks. We had several dishes, including the tuna tacos, fettuccine, and short ribs, everything was delicious. Highly recommended.

Needle and Thread was phenomenal. Each course was unexpectedly delicious. Best meal I had in RI in awhile. We loved the ambiance with its dark and moody decor. We went as a large group to celebrate a career advancement for one of our close friends. It was accommodating to large parties. Our server was charming and funny. The drinks were enjoyable and fun. Two of our friends got the money clip and it came in this really cool square tumbler with an extremely realistic $100 bill. How clever and creative. Love the details in presentation for the cocktails. Don’t miss out checking this place out! Worth it!

I can only speak on behalf of cocktails here but holy moly they are fantastic. There's often a steady amount of people here on the weekend with a live dj that keeps the atmosphere fun and lively. Service is always friendly and as prompt as it can be at a sometimes packed bar.

SADIE!!!!!! I’m telling you - go here and ask for her. She is an absolute ray of sunshine who was so fun to take care of our table. Also! Hands down the best Cesar salad with blackened chicken. We will be regulars now!!

Atmosphere is great. Love the entrance stairway! Small but spacious place. Drinks and staff are exceptional. The bartender Stephanie is very personable and loves her job! Didn't try the food but overhead another guest describe the chicken sandwich as "that chicken sandwich- I need that, I need that!

The environment was beautiful low key and intimate. The food was amazing. The goddess oysters phenomenal. The 1/2 roasted chicken was so flavorful and moist absolutely amazing. The drinks were great. All around great experience

I had such a great time at Needle & Thread. Everyone from the host, waitstaff, and management were in great spirits and that always tops off the overall experience! But let me tell you... the 1/2 roasted chicken was absolutely delicious! Flavorful through and through. And it paired well with the Spiced Pear Sidecar drink! Do yourself a favor and add them to your places to visit!

We visited Providence a few weeks ago and stopped in here for cocktail. We sat at the bar and had the best two bartenders who were friendly, accommodating and kept us laughing- Brenda and Cass were the best we wish we had more time to go back and see them again. The cocktails were also fantastic

Excellent in all ways. Three of us had cocktails and dinner last night. We all had fantastic original expertly crafted cocktails, all the staff were pros and do yourself a favor and order the duck. Plus you leave a little bit cooler than you were going in. Definitely go and enjoy.

Fantastic short rib and drinks! We’ve been there a few times and they’re consistently great! We especially love when they have live music.

Our server was the best. She was a whole vibe and if our night wasn't going perfect she deff fixed that. It was our friend's bday and she made his night awesome. Wish I could remember her name. We were there after 10pm 7/25/25

I’d definitely come back to Needle & Thread the next time I’m in Rhode Island. It seems like a popular spot for both drinks and food. The drinks were great, and the waiter was incredibly kind, she even adjusted my drink when it came out a bit too spicy, which I really appreciated. The calamari was a little on the salty side, but still tasty overall. I had a great time here, it was great vibe and would absolutely return!

Found this event on IG that was at Needle & Thread so my fiancé and I went. The music was great and the service was great. I didn’t catch the waitresses name but she was very attentive. The food was good and the drinks were good. Our first drink wasn’t a full glass but her recommendation on the next drink was good and it was a full glass.

The Name speaks volumes the Architecture is beautiful. Reservations should be recommended prior to going just because it's not huge but the couches and tables make it really cozy. I will definitely go back for this SpeakEasy experience

I’ve heard nice things but I’ve never been able to come here… their hours online and on their sign don’t match. They will lock the doors. Today they even left their sign outside with their hours (it’s an hour and 15 before their listed closing) but with all the doors locked. Embarrassing when you walk over with a dozen people visiting the state and it’s just locked

reminiscent of a speakeasy. sunday night as a great way to end/begin the week. dj good. most perfect dark espresso martini ever. intended on One and swore to it, but it was so perfect, I tired it again before leaving the city.

Went to Providence to visit family and went to Needle and Thread and it was a good vibe! Service was great! The Dj played a nice selection of music from hip hop, reggae, R&B and Afro beats and created a whole a vibe! Calvin, a manger there, was super dope. I didn’t get a chance to try the food but I definitely plan on returning with some of my people and will try it next time. Thanks Calvin for a chill night!

Really vibey spot! Overall a good experience. Service was great. Cocktails were on the pricier side and kind of just okay. Mine was tasty but not chilled nearly enough. I would have liked to have seen more options for beer and wine, which were all very basic. The food though was FANTASTIC! I went with a hankering for pasta and got a Corn Fettuccine dish that was stellar. I could have eaten a second helping. I would go back for the food, but the drinks were a little lacking.

The atmosphere is cool, but the place is tiny, and the layout is also not ideal. I like what they are trying to do as a speakeasy, but if you are in a big group, do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.

Looking at the pictures, and considering the name and “speakeasy” vibe that is has been projected, you would imagine this restaurant to be very chill. Maybe some light jazz playing, a great place to kick back and have some friendly conversation with your group. That is not what is going on here. The music was hip-hop which is quite fine, but it was also ear splittingly loud so you had to scream to be heard. Everyone in the restaurant is screaming to be heard, so they turn the music up. The food was excellent. The best charcuterie board I have ever had in my life. Every piece of that board went with every other piece, the meat paired with the cheese, paired with the jam, paired with the pickles absolutely superlative. Any combination you put together was delicious. I wish I could comment on entrees and deserts, unfortunately, we could not stay long enough to sample them due to the noise and the fact the waitresses kept ignoring us. We had to physically get up and go to the host station to ask the host to track down a waitress, so we could order a second round of drinks. I’ve never been anywhere where the waitress takes away your empty glass and doesn’t ask if you’d like another. And then refuses to make eye contact with you as she breezes by your table, and then disappears for 15 minutes. I will assume the poor service was probably just an off night as a result understaffing because it’s very difficult to get good stuff right now. Unfortunately, due to the ridiculous noise level, I won’t be back to try again. Which is a pity because the food was amazing

My partner and I visited on a Saturday, early evening and despite the place not being busy, the servers tended to take long with asking for our orders and bringing the check. We started with the fish tacos which were the highlight of the night. I had the N&T Rice Bowl it was delicious but I could’ve done without the grapes and pineapples. Yuck. My partner had the Royale With Cheese which was delicious as well but the fries were overly seasoned. I had the Fruta & Fuego drink which was good but the salt/sugar rim it comes with was disgusting. The atmosphere was chill for the most part but on a cold Winter evening the last thing you want is the fan blowing at your neck. Overall Needle & Thread has some major improvements to work on. It’s like they almost got it but it’s not there yet.

Service was great, the inside is sort of like a speakeasy, however it was impossible to hear inside. Between music, a loud group of ladies screaming and just general atmosphere. They could really use some sound absorbing panels or something! Mostly, and worst food took an hour and a half to come out. Drinks are pricey, basic beers $8 and mocktails (and cocktails) are $14 By the time my dinner finally arrived I wasn’t it even hungry, despite the portion being miniature for the price. Would probably not come back here again.

The service was terrible I had waited 30 mins to order a drink the idea is that it is a craft cocktail place but it just another pretentious bar I prov that is not worth its weight please go somewhere else the red door next door awesome!!

If you were trying to hard and opened a bar, then stuck an antique sewing machine in the corner to make it swanky, this is what you'd get. They were out of ingredients for the drink I specifically went there to get, and then their food made both of us sick. But probably fine for a date you want to impress if you have $100 to spare.

The place is very cute and cozy. The service was disorganized and slow. My drink tasted premade from a can. I didnt bother sticking around for a second one

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Our server took an unusually long time to greet us and take our order. The food—simple dishes like pasta, salad, and fries—took 1 hour and 45 minutes to arrive. Under normal circumstances I would be more understanding, but a table seated at the same time as us received their drinks, meals, and check within 45 minutes. I asked for an update on our order twice and was repeatedly told it was “coming right out,” only for it to arrive more than an hour later. When our food finally did arrive, it was lukewarm. The pasta sauce was watery, the salad was soggy, and the fries appeared to have been seasoned with sugar instead of salt. Additionally, the chicken was extremely salty and nearly inedible. Overall, the service and food quality were far below expectations.
