La comida nos sorprendió, los camarones gorgonzola están deliciosos y los esquites muy ricos. Emilio fue atento y pasamos una buena noche.
Not an ordinary place. Food quality, appearance and taste are 10 stars! We're still impressed by it and that's why I give this place all the stars despite a few things I really wish management will take into consideration. 1. Service. We were the first customers that day. The place is quite small. We were greeted by the manager and got our table. Then there was a girl showing us cocktails menu on tablet, then we got our server, then there was a young guy serving us wine. There was a barmen and some girls I guess from the kitchen flowing around and EVERYONE looked at us literally waiting for our micro moves to offer their service. I understand high level of hospitality this place offers and pure intentions ,but that was too much. I some point we felt like zoo animals. Again, not blaming staff they were doing their best. Management has to do a better job to create a balance and comfort. 2. Water price. $10 a bottle -stinks! Place isn't cheap at all and food quality wise it worth it,but charging $10 for 750 ml Evian bottle is just unreasonable. Again, overall experience was great. Staff friendly. If the management will be willing to make fine-tuning the place will be really 5 stars.
We left our fresh catch with ParrotFish one night and came back the next day for the feast — best decision ever! ParrotFish in Punta Mita is pure magic! On the first night, we brought in my husband’s fresh catch, enjoyed some food and excellent cocktails, and left the fish with the chef (intentionally:), so they could work their magic. The next day, we came back for the whole feast - ParrotFish turned our fresh catch into one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! Delicate sashimi with fresh citrus, chiles, and vibrant garnishes that were almost too beautiful to eat; tacos bursting with bold, creative flavors; and finally, the grilled fish that I inhaled before remembering to take a picture. Every dish showcased the chef’s talent and creativity, allowing the freshness of the fish to shine through. A perfect blend of sushi artistry and Mexican flair! A big thank you to Emilio, our excellent waiter both nights — warm, attentive, and fun, he made the experience unforgettable. Compliments to the chef and all team for creating such a memorable two-day dining adventure at ParrotFish. If you’re in Punta Mita, ParrotFish is an absolute must - even if you don’t have a fresh catch of the day.
We had a great experience at Parrotfish. The service was amazing. Food was unique and delicious. Cocktails were fabulous. Highly recommend if you’re in Punta Mita for a taste of something unique!
This has been our favourite restaurant so far on our trip 😍 Great Hospitality, Great Food, Great Drinks, 5 out of 5 for sure! Highly recommend 👌 Looking forward to to our next Dinner there!
Excellent food, 5 star service, nice atmosphere. My favorite place for a night out in Mita.
The service, food, and cocktails were incredible for our family dinner. Not a lot of people in the restaurant (assuming because it is new). The staff was very pleasant.
We really enjoyed our meal here. The best food we had in punta mita. A great variety of dishes with interesting fusion options.
Extraordinary food and even better drinks. I was lucky and got an invitation to try the menu before opening and it was absolutely amazing. Cocktails are in a league of their own. There is nothing like it in the area.
Amazing food, service and ambience. Great Cocktails. Highly recommend to anyone travelling to Punta Mita
Very friendly service and yummy food :) also hummus as a free starter which we loved!
Amazing service! Super fun cocktails! And the food was AMAZE
Coming from SoCal where we have lots of great food, this place is good.

The food and drinks were delicious! Ingredients tasted really fresh and the concept of the restaurant is unique to the area. We happened to meet the owner and he was very attentive and kind. If you’re looking for dinner in Punta Mita I highly recommend.
This was by far the best food we had during our entire stay in Punta Mita. The staff and the manager were all incredibly polite. The cocktails were amazing and were well presented. I cannot recommend this place enough, go to Parrot Fish.
The menu is really interesting, and the food we ordered was delicious! (Lobster gyoza, mushroom risotto, salmon.) The presentation of our cocktails was fabulous. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere is stylish. Prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. I’m excited to go back!
We went for Valentine’s Day and it was a really relaxed atmosphere. Food came with perfect timing, we did not feel rushed at all, and the portions were good for sharing for two people. We had the lobster mac&cheese which was amazing, the pork bao (buns) which were also amazing, and then a couple of different rolls. Super fresh fish and the sushi was great! For desert we shared the fried Oreos with icecream, spongy and yummy. A perfect evening!!!
Best dinner vibe in Punta Mita! Has a live DJ and the most creative cocktails. Staff was wonderful and very thoughtful and generous. Have been coming to punta mita for 6 years and wanted to try the new restaurant and it did not disappoint. The interior is sexy and the food was delicious.
Everything we had was something we’ve never had. It was super tasty and well priced. The Goji mocktail was so good. The carnitas was amazing. The fried chicken and shrimp dishes were also unique. I’d highly recommend.
Definitely one of the best places in Punta Mita. High quality food, great staff (the manager is always making sure that costumers are satisfied), and excellent Music. A must go! They were also very friendly with our service dog.
My friends and I went for dinner last night for the 1st time. WOW! Fantastic food, great menu, amazing drinks and ambience. Such a cool vibe. The service was impeccable! . Can't wait to visit again and return. Highly recommend!
Best meal of our 7-day visit to Punta Mita. We walked from the St. Regis. You don't get the views of the waterfront restaurants that seem to be more popular, but the food, service, and experience is better.
The best meal we have had in many trips to Mexico! The black and white appetizer is amazing. Gracious host/owner, excellent service.
Always a good experience here. They are very friendly, pretty much know our orders now. Young woman chef does very nice work and is very accommodating. Reasonable prices considering the quality.
Perfect bites. Miso udon soup, bao bun, daily roll special as good as anywhere I have eaten. Wonderful spot in Punta Mita, great staff and we will be back over and over again!
This is one of our favorite places in Punta de Mita. Always happy to see us, they remember our names. Excellent service. The team is constantly surpassing themselves in a casual, understated manner. Great place!
Loved every part of the experience here! Emilio was a great server and the service was excellent. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great night out in Punta Mita
We came as a group of six and every single one of us left happy, full, and already planning our next visit. From the fresh, flavorful food to the fun and creative drinks, everything hit the mark. The vibe is laid-back but elevated—perfect for a beachy night out. The service was truly impeccable—friendly, attentive, and full of thoughtful little touches that made the whole experience even better. And let’s talk about the deep fried Oreos… total chef’s kiss. Don’t skip dessert!
The host, waiter, manager, and staff were warm but not intrusive. The food during Restaurant Week was 5 star in quality, flavor, presentation, and affordability. A MUST whether you are a local like us from PV, or visiting our great region of the Banderas Bay.
Great place for sushi and traditional dishes Everything we had was delicious….including the entertaining drinks. Fun atmosphere and great service. very nice change from all the usual places in the area.
A very nice place just a few steps put of Punta Mita. Food is very good, staff and service is excellent. Our waitress Itzel was very very kind and professional. A very good choice in the area with fair prices.
High quality ingredients, fun cocktails, delicious food and top notch service. They go above and beyond! The ambience is modern but still warm. I was able to custom make a sushi roll which was appreciated. There are also non-fish options and creative desserts. We will definitely be back!
Gracias
Person size pizza with next to no sauce, cheese or pepperoni for $30.
Very expensive prices and they did not tell us the credit card machine was not working until after we were done eating. Oh, and they don't have any change either. Bottle of water was a 199 pesos. Outrageous!! The waiter stopped us on the way out and told us he should get MORE tip. We will never be back!!
I can only speak for the sushi and nigiri, which was mainly sushi rice with very little fish. Zoom in on the photos included in this review to see what I mean. The four of us did not finish the lobster roll because it was just mouthfuls of rice covered in mayo. Restaurant is very beautiful so suitable for people looking for ambience and not too worried about the food. The kitchen is minimizing food costs as much as possible at 20 USD on average per sushi roll stuffed with rice and not much more. The red flag should have been the pizza options on the same menu. We were very excited to try a new place but don't think we'll be returning, at least not for the sushi.
Had a take out order and was really disappointed with the food. Ordered chicken teriyaki and this is what I got. The menu says it would come with miso soup and rice. Instead, I had noodles and no soup.
The food is as good as fried Oreos are healthy. Overcooked rubbery fish, not crunchy fried chicken, bland edamames. And we waited for our 4 dishes for half an hour. 😥
Extremely disappointing + misleading charges and embarrassing treatment by young management. We stopped by Parrotfish Sushi for a snack and a couple of drinks. The food itself was good and our server was friendly and attentive, but the experience was ruined by how the manager handled a simple drink order. I asked for an Aperol Spritz with well tequila added. The manager insisted on recommending Don Julio Silver, but I clearly declined and repeated that I wanted the regular tequila from their well. When the bill arrived, I saw he’d charged me for the Don Julio anyway, nearly 500 pesos for one shot I never ordered. When I politely raised it, the manager acted surprised and pretended not to understand English, even though he’d spoken perfect English earlier when showing us the menu. After about ten minutes, they came back with a “corrected” bill that still included the same tequila, only with a 40 % discount, meaning I was still charged roughly 300 pesos for something I didn’t order. What made it worse was how public and uncomfortable it became this entire discussion happened in front of my partner and nearby tables. It was genuinely embarrassing, and the manager showed barely any apology or accountability. I understand mistakes happen, but this was an intentional attempt to upsell and take advantage of tourists, which is unacceptable in a place that markets itself as an upscale restaurant. The only positive was our server, who remained polite and professional despite obvious pressure. This is the first time experiencing this type of treatment in the 20 years we’ve been coming to Mexico. Extremely taken back by this visit since we both come from the food and beverage industry. Bottom line: good food, but unethical management. Double-check your bill and drink orders, and be cautious if the manager tries to “recommend” premium spirits you didn’t ask for.
We ordered a few things from the restaurant and they messed them all up. We also ordered 3 sushi rolls which took 1 hour before anyone realized they forgot to make them. We left without two people never receiving there food.
