2nd best shaved ice I've had in flushing. This is behind Flower and Dessert near Tangram
A cozy and pleasant local coffee shop to pass the time and read a book or share a treat with friends. I got a hot latte with oat milk ($4.75 + additional milk cost). I also tried a multigrain latte for the first time ($5.50) and wow it was delicious. It was not too sweet, warm, fragrant, and thick.
We stopped by Coffee Factory just to kill some time while waiting for a nearby restaurant to open, and ended up only getting coffee—but it turned out to be a great choice. The space is spacious and comfortable, with lots of menu options to choose from. Most importantly, the coffee was very good—smooth, well-made, and enjoyable. A nice place to relax for a bit and grab a solid cup of coffee. We’d definitely come back again.
Beautiful shop with a very calm yet lovely atmosphere. They have a study room in the back and are open until late, making it very ideal for studying or doing work. The cashiers were very adorable and sweet. I had a strawberry croffle and green tea latte with oat milk, which were both very tasty yet refreshing. I like that their stuff isn’t too sweet. Also, their prices are very good. In total I only spent ~$13 for the large drink and croffle. I’ll be making the trip here more often.
Saw this on Yelp and had to check it out because it looked SO CUTE. My friends and I got the Matcha Shaved Ice and Mango Shaved Ice and I can’t explain how cute it was. There were so many toppings and different components of the shaved ice; it all mixed together so well! It is definitely worth the price; you get so much for a pretty low price. It was pretty hard to find seating but if you manage to find seating, it’s a great place to catch up with friends and get some desserts.
Coffee shop by the Murray Hill LIRR station. The place is located on the corner and there is only street parking. My kids were in the mood for a shaved ice and saw good reviews for this place. We stopped by for an after school treat. They have 5 or 6 options for shaved ice including strawberry, green tea, mango, coffee, and wheat. They also offer hot and cold drinks and pastries. The kids chose the Strawberry shaved ice. You order it and get a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. We sat down and waited for our treat. When the buzzer buzzed what great surprise was waiting for us. The presentation of the ice was so pretty and so big. One ice was more than enough for the three of us. It was so delicious. The strawberry one came with strawberry pearls, strawberry jam, fresh strawberry and an scoop of French vanilla ice cream. We cannot wait to go back and try the other flavors. So glad we found this place.
I have been here multiple times and have enjoyed the shaved ice multiple times and each time was delicious. My favorite is the green tea shaved ice, the shaved ice here is in my opinion the best around. The ice holds its "icyness" for quite sometime before melting and becoming ice cream which no one wants. You come for shaved ice not ice cream. Another great perk is the shaved ice packs a lot of flavor, which you don't find in many shaved ice joints. Also there is plenty of seating so you can come have a coffee and shaved ice with some friends.
We came here after eating at a nearby BBQ restaurant since we needed to liven up. We ordered a dessert, double espresso, and a cappuccino to stay. A good-sized dining area, and you get to relax in a cool and inviting atmosphere. The waitress added the previous customer's order onto my order??? Luckily, I spotted the price difference in the credit receipt, and she paid me back quickly with cash.
I’ve been here twice so far. The environment is clean and cozy. Presentation and display of food is nice. The lady at the register has been super sweet both times and took my numerous orders well. I was with my children the second time, so I went to the register multiple times. She’s very organized and attentive. •Their sandwiches are really good (not pictured, I had them on my first time coming here, which I didn’t take pictures of) and you can ask for it to be warmed/toasted, though I ate mine cold (not their fault, I didn’t ask). •Their Frappes are really good. This time I had a caramel one but so far my favorite of theirs is cookies and cream. It’s very smooth and not overwhelming. •The macarons are good too, just super high on the calories and sugar for a single one though. My Cons about this place are that some, not all, but some items don’t have a date listed on them. •These chocolate chip cookies seemed a bit stale so I’m not sure how long these in particular were sitting out, but that’s on me for grabbing and not checking/asking. I noticed some of their breads, cookies, and sandwiches are hard to tell if they were baked fresh or have been sitting for a while. You’ll only know upon taste/asking. Lastly, I feel it’s a bit overpriced. Close to $7 - $8 for the frappe alone. I spent close to $80 for about 7 items on the menu 🫤. I want to like this place a lot, this place has huge potential it just needs a bit more improvement with maintaining freshness, especially for the prices asked. Willing to give it another shot at some point though.
This place not only outlasted nearly every shaved ice cream spot in Flushing, it also outlasted the pandemic. There's a reason for that, and it lies in the service, and quality of its selections. My only minor complaint is that the floors were being mopped while enjoying ice cream - not exactly a pleasant mix of breathing in Pine Sol at the same time you're eating 😬 🍧 🧹
Came here for dessert after eating Korean bbq meat by. This neighborhood is pretty much all Korean restaurants and Cafes, and it was kinda funny when we walked in, everyone sitting inside were Korean senior citizens! We ordered the strawberry ice flakes, which is like shaved ice, with a scoop of ice cream, and had these red balls that looked like salmon roe, but were really strawberry flavored and popped in your mouth. Very unique interesting textures and refreshing. My friend also ordered a banana bread and it was kinda dry.
We visited Coffee Factory a few years ago and their shaved ice bowl impressed us so much. The decor was simple, clean and bright. The outdoor dining is currently available with lots of tables. There is a great variety of options on their menu and they also serve desserts and pastries which looked not so great. The staff was cool and reluctant. Our matcha shaved ice was missing the ice cream on top but we didn’t want to waste time for argument. The ice bowl was delicious especially for the matcha which was not too sweet and had a great balance with other ingredients.
They are very rude. With so many coffee shops in flushing to choose from, you couldnt pay me to return here. Its almost like the coffee shops in this particular area are competing to be the worst possible coffee shop. Coffee is over priced. Tastes like hot water. Staff does not want to help, at all. And I get the sense this mind set comes from the top. The lady that seems to own the coffee shop should not have any sort of customer facing role because she is simply awful to communicate with. I genuinely feel bad for the employees. Better butter coffee is a few blocks away, is new, and actually wants your business. Dont waste your time here.
It was a very bad experience. The service staff at this store were extremely rude! My friend and I ordered ten cups of coffee, a bunch of bread and snacks here. We spent over a hundred dollars. When we went to the front desk to ask for two more cups of ice, the staff there said each cup would cost 1.9 dollars. (over 4 dollars for 2 cups of ice!!?) This is something we simply can't understand. Their attitude was very bad; they didn't greet us, they weren't polite. We will definitely not visit this store again.
Officially done with the Coffee Factory. I’ve been going to this place for 2–3 years, but it’s gotten completely absurd. The coffee tastes like hot water, they removed the outlets so customers can’t charge their laptops for no clear reason, and while some of the staff are rude, the owner is just straight-up mean. I used to love the atmosphere and how chill the café was, but today was my last visit. On multiple occasions, I’ve asked the owner for a straw and she would either scoff or give me a nasty grin. If you check the other reviews, she already has a bad reputation and clearly gets defensive and pissy about it. I’ll go as far as to say she looks down on people who aren’t wealthy. Let me explain: this part of Flushing has a lot of upper-middle-class to wealthy customers, and you can visibly see how her attitude shifts. She’s kind and caring toward customers who look rich, but cold and rude to everyone else. It honestly makes me wonder if she removed the outlets so she wouldn’t “lose” her wealthier customers, almost like she doesn’t want people staying too long unless they fit a certain image. So if you're a student, this ain't the place to study trust me. The workers from years prior super nice! Some of the workers will just judge you the second you reach the counter. Literally go to any other Coffee establishments! Coffee Monster and coffle house is miles ahead and are super nice.
