I love this cozy cafe it’s small but it’s like a safe haven from the bustling city. Their coffee is damn good that costa rican bean they know what they’re doing. I love the atmosphere and the service as well the hospitality is on point I asked for lemon hot water they said bet !
Very unique Coffee Shop. Just like the friendly outgoing owner, the menu & vibe are wonderfully unique. Coconut Ube cookie & chagaccino are awesome. Bravo Andrew!
Really lovely espresso. I had a vanilla latte with almond milk, which was really well balanced between the flavors, very creamy and delightful. There are a few small tables to sit at inside. There is a good selection of bakery items and a couple of sandwiches available.
We love coming here every week! The owner is so welcoming and his smile always brightens up our day! Plus the coffee is amazing, premium coffee beans, I love the taste, AND as a bonus, the pastries are scrumptious!
This is my favorite coffee shop in Long Island City! The coffee is FANTASTIC, the people are even kinder, the atmosphere and aesthetic is also too cute. I work from "home" here all the time, would be a great place to study, but also a great place to grab a coffee with a friend. Couldn't recommend it more!!
The folks at Concept had a bit of a jinx to overcome -- the prior coffee shop at this location was really not a good vibe -- but they've definitely done that and beyond by far. With the great coffee, amazing ube coconut cookies, and the loveliness of the staff here (their excellent taste in music also helps), it's become my new go-to in the neighborhood. I mostly stop in quickly, but it has a thoughtfully decorated interior with tables and is also good for sitting in.
Best coffee in Long Island City. We were out here for a wedding and found this adorable coffee shop. I ordered an oat milk latte and my husband got an almond milk mocha. We also wanted a quick breakfast and both got Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissants (my husband asked for it without cheese and the barista was super accommodating). They are made to order and really great– I'm amazed he makes them without a full kitchen. The espresso is fantastic and service is excellent. The place is filled with tropical plants which the owner said are a nod to his Filipino heritage. It's a beautiful, local-owned space. Definitely a great place to support, I can't say enough good things about our experience here, the owner is absolutely lovely.
Always a warm welcome from baristas especially Ace! Love visiting this place—such a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Their ube latte is a must-try. it’s absolutely delicious! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great spot to relax and enjoy unique drinks
I stumbled upon this gem of a coffee shop and I'm so glad I did. The coffee is top-notch, the decor is charming, and the staff is super friendly. I love coming here to unwind and enjoy a great cup of coffee. Definitely worth a visit!"
I just stopped in and Andrew. The owner was amazing. He made me a fabulous cuppa coffee. I bought a 5 pound bag of Brazilian beans. It was lovely Support him. This is the back bone of our neighborhood and our city and our country… hard-working beautiful people like Andrew God bless him support this business!
Other than this cafe having the BEST lattes, cookies and pastries in New York City, the customer service was beyond exceptional. The owner went out of his way to ensure we were able to experience what concept coffee had to offer, even though we arrived moments after they closed as tourist. We will definitely be back again!!!
This cozy coffee shop is a true hidden gem. The coffee is excellent, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. The owner (Andrew) is incredibly friendly and always makes you feel welcome. Highly recommend for a relaxing coffee break!💜
My favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood! Quality wise, coffee is consistently outstanding. They have a variety of coffee options, some are unique to the cafe, which I really like. I usually order their black coffee, and for days when I feel like having something sweet yet has the bitter taste of coffee, I order their chagaccino. The banana with peanut butter smoothie is also one of my favorites for the cold options. It’s blended with cold brew so you can still enjoy the coffee taste in it. Lastly, their matcha latte is also one of my favorite options. It’s smooth and creamy with a grassy flavor that I like. Their staff are very friendly and accommodating even to my dog. The ambiance of the shop is very warm and chill. I absolutely recommend this business!
Went here this morning. This cafe is a gem! I ordered their luscious ube silvanas, iced ube latte and iced buko pandan latte. I’ll give it a 11/10! It’s very delicious. The place and the ambiance was perfect and the staff is very welcoming and accommodating! They also have vegan options for their desserts and drinks. Perfect place to grab or sit in for a coffee and a pastry bite!
Absolutely love the place! Not only is the decor super cute but the service is also 5 stars! The baristas were very professional and attentive. I had the Breakfast Croissant and Buko Pandan latte and was amazed at how good it was and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they personally make the syrup in house! Thanks for the recommendation guys. I’ll definitely be stopping by again :)
Grabbed coffee from this beautiful cafe, & it was so delicious!! We had an iced dirty horchata & an iced cafe con canela for the win! We’ve never had coffee with these wonderful flavors before and they were just so delicious!! We will definitely be back soon!! Ohhh, & everyone was also so kind and patient! We loved it! Check them out!!
Love the vibe and ambience of this coffee shop. I would imagine at night it may be even better. Food and drink artisans were very friendly and courteous. They have a delicious almond croissant 🥐 that’s better when warmed up. Thanks to the barista for recommendation. This coffee shop has been open for about 8 months from when this review is posted. Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone in the Long Island City area.
It was my first time in Queens and I saw this lovely coffee shop. The aesthetic vibe lured me in. As soon as I went in, I received a warm welcome from the barista. With the cold weather, I ordered a hot chocolate and a pan au chocolat (Chocolate croissant). I stayed there for an hour. The place was clean and cozy. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. I am giving it a 5 stars as my experience was exquisite **A perfect cute spot to have a coffee date
my all time FAVORITE coffee shop in LIC!!! i’ll walk in a snow storm to get an iced coffee — that’s how good they are. andrew, the owner, was a bartender turned barista and brews 10 out of 10 coffees! smooth, delicious, worth every penny. he’ll make you anything, even if it’s not on the menu and remembers returning customers. there’s a rotating seasonal menu with creative drinks too!
Lovely coffee. The special drinks were great
Literally just left this place. Was just driving by and decided to get some coffee and something to eat. Never been here. Ordered the Buko Pandan Latte. Laawddd have mercy. Literally the best flavored coffee I've tasted in years. I'm a huge fan of coconut and vanilla. Gotten various flavors from other big brand companies (SB & DD). But this coffee hits different. Had to buy a 2nd cup to go because the first cup was half way done by the time I left. Customer service from Annie & Arie was immaculate. Relaxed and cool to talk to as well as speedy service. Will visit anytime in in this past of Queens. These guys got a gem on their hands. Thanks for waking up my taste buds!!!
Definitely worth the drive to try their Kape Ube! Unique and just the right balance of creamy ube and rich coffee. You get to Actually get to taste both flavors, not like others where it’s just too sweet. Loved the pastries and sweets they offer, perfect for their drink choices as well. The coffee shop is super chill and cute, with a relaxed vibe. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, making it a great place to hang out. They have a lot of regular customers who came in while we were there, so you’ll know their coffee is legit. Will for sure come back!!!
Went to visit concept coffee because I wanted to try their ube latte and was excited to see that they also had many other very tempting options like a buko pandan latte! I went with that and it was so delicious, and as a filipina it made me really happy! The interior is super cute with a decent amount of seating and the service was great as well. I will definitely be coming back! Go support this Filipino/Asian owned business!!
There aren’t many places I would take an extra step for to leave a review but the two young men at the counter Ace and Nurak made our visit very special. They were patient, friendly, and helped us choose the perfect drinks and snacks. The coffee was delicious, the food was fresh, and the atmosphere was cozy. Ace and Nurak made us feel so welcome—this spot is a must-visit & these 2 young men need a raise!
The service was amazing, very friendly, comforting and helpful. You walk in and immediately feel the good vibes from the decorations to the staff. Got the kape ube and buko pandan with the avocado focaccia. All 10/10s. Food was delicious and there was little to no wait. Highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
Yummiest, friendliest and aesthetic ambiance cafe ever! We tried Dirty Horchata, Iced Ube Lattes (with and without espresso. Tip: better try both!) and Affogato (Dulce de leche). Too good that we even take out their coffee beans so we’ll be able to have it at home too. We’ll come back to visit again for sure!
Incredible coffee and even better staff! They were so thoughtful that they asked what kind of milk I wanted and I did actually forget to ask for oatmilk and regular milk can tend to upset my stomach. Thankful for you all ! The neighborhood is cute too and on the way to the metro! The coffee was very strong which I love I got a latte. They also have that new coffee drink that is mixed with mushroom powder that I can’t think of the name but definitely try this place !
I recently discovered Concept Coffee and it quickly became my favorite coffee spot in LIC! The lattes and pastries are amazing—my go-to drinks are the Chagaccino and Strawberry Matcha. The baristas (Paulo, Ace, and Pan) are incredibly friendly and always make each visit enjoyable. Highly recommend checking it out!
I looooove the breakfast croissant here. They don’t have a bathroom but it is very cozy to hang out here and do a little work. I usually get a regular iced latte or a pandan latte. I recommend it hot or cold with a few less pumps of pandan as it can get a bit sweet.
Omg one of the best coffe in the city !! Very good !
The buko pandan latte was a delight, great flavour and loved the coconut shaved bits! The Kape Ube is great too, very strong Ube flavour. Got the breakfast croissant which was also delicious, loved to gooey egg yolk. The owner Andrew was so nice and hospitable, highly recommend checking this coffeeshop out! And love the tropic leafy motif in the interior design of the shop.
This place is great and such a gem. I've been a couple of times already and had the kape ube and the buko pandan drinks - so good! The service is great! I got to meet the owner and he was very kind. I'll be going back to try their other drinks and treats!
Stopped by Concept Coffee and it did not disappoint. We ordered the ube latte (🔥🔥🔥) and the banana cold brew smoothie. Unfortunately, we couldn’t try the smoothie because the blender was giving the barista trouble but honestly, this review is just as much about her as it is the drinks. She genuinely tried for a while, clearly cared that she couldn’t make it work and felt bad about not being able to give us what we ordered. That kind of effort and care goes a long way. She ended up recommending the strawberry matcha with peppermint instead which was also 🔥 and refreshing. Great drinks, great energy and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back.
This place is a gem. The coffee is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, and the service truly sets it apart. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do, you can feel it from the moment you walk in. They make you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Easily one of my favorite coffee spots
Owner and staff always make me feel like I’m home. Concept has the BEST Bacon, egg, and cheese in the city! The drinks are great, and the vibes are always great too. Wonderful cafe to sit inside and the bench outside is also nice.
This is such a hidden gem 😭 I was lucky to have stayed a few blocks away for my visit and ended coming here almost everyday just for the Ube Latte! It’s such a cute spot with real plants that make the atmosphere that much better. It’s so hard to find a good ube latte where you get the taste of the ube but not so much that you loose the latte. 10/10 Will Recommend
Leaving a review as this was my first time at concept coffee, and I have to say, this is the coffee shop everyone dreams of in New York City. Upon walking in, the staff and owners were so friendly and welcoming. It was my wedding morning, and my bridesmaids and I stopped here for a quick coffee and sandwich before we headed out for the day. As customers filtered in and we waited for our coffee and food, we noticed how there was a unique sense of community. Lots of regulars stopped by, and everyone was so kind. They even gifted me some coffee beans on my big day! (My first wedding gift of the day!) The coffee was amazing and they had fun flavors, combos, and even a fun purple coffee drink?! The breakfast sandwich was all freshly made and truly one of the best I have had in the city. If you are nearby, I highly recommend stopping by - you won’t regret it!!
During our recent trip to New York, my team and I were thrilled to try out this highly recommended cafe, suggested by a close friend. The experience exceeded our expectations! The Kape Ube Latte was a standout, offering a unique and delightful flavor that I haven't found anywhere else. Additionally, the tuna sandwich was perfectly crunchy and delicious – a definite must-try! For coffee lovers, their ground coffee is a purchase you won't regret. We highly recommend grabbing a bag to enjoy at home. Visit this cafe for an exceptional coffee experience located in Queens!
It was my first time in NYC and my first coffee shop at Concept Coffee!! I loved it so much! The menu is Filipino inspired and it reminded me of home! I ordered the ube cookie, so delicious and filled with ube, I had the Serhant and loved it!! So delicious and the breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese and focaccia bread it was so yummy and the experience and vibe was amazing and I got to try unique drink from my friends like ube latte and their avocado toast! They also had yummy mocktail coffee! I tried the lavender one and loved it. it was an amazing experience!!! ♥️🇵🇭 will definitely be my go to every time I'm in NYC!
My friends and I stumbled upon Concept Coffee only a few weeks ago, and it immediately became our go-to spot in LIC for a morning treat or a remote-work spot! (Already been back 7+ times... and counting) This is one of the few coffee shops that does matcha/tea really well, not just as an afterthought. My repeat order has been "The Serhant" (ube matcha), which is so fragrant and flavorful and also just beautiful. The matcha really comes through without being overpowering. The ice in the drink also melts so evenly so you never end up with a watered-down drink or a lot of ice at the bottom -- it's such a small detail but makes a huge difference in the drink experience. The pastries are all amazing as well, especially the cranberry scone. Andrew, the owner, is very friendly and gets to know his repeat customers, dogs and humans alike. He brings San Diego energy to NYC, really setting the tone for a laidback and sunny vibe in the space.
Concept Coffee is it! Great menu variety when it comes to coffee, teas, and seasonal drinks, especially if you're craving a drink with an Asian (Filipino) twist - this is the spot! Each beverage is crafted delicately as if you're in a cocktail bar. I've gotten the Buko Pandan Latte and the little details from the pour to the toppings are prime. The atmosphere is fun with a chill, calm ambiance to decompress or wfh with minimal distractions. Close walking distance to the trains, rock climbing gym or LIC waterfront. Honestly, a great stopgap between destinations. Definitely worth checking.
Sooo good! I've been here few times already. They serve ube latte and buko pandan latte too. We met the owner Andrew and he's so nice. Their baristas are nice too I forgot the gentlemen's names but all in all good experience everytime I come to visit. Coffee and matcha both are really good.
The drinks and boss have always been 5 star but recently the wait time when it’s not busy at all has been crazy … 5 mins for just my drink… and every time I go, it feels like half of my vanilla latte is foam.
I was in the mood for something different than your standard fare coffee shop breakfast and Americano, so when I saw Concept Coffee has both Avocado Foccacia and Buko Pandan Latte, I made my way there. Both are pretty darn good, though just short of exceptional. The Buko Pandan consists of espresso, Pandan syrup, coconut milk, and coconut flakes, and while it is pretty delicious thanks for the coconut milk and flakes, I really don't taste the Pandan, which is too bad because it is one of my favorite flavors. The Avocado Foccacia did a little better and it was bursting with flavors. Their stock of avocado was a bit unripe today so the guy went to the nearby market to buy a fresh one, which is appreciated. You can taste that nutty fresh avocado flavor that complements well with the Foccacia bread. The herbs of the Foccacia made every bite a yummy one, although I didn't get enough of the red peppers coming through. The only negative comment is the bread is overly hard. I like my Foccacia a bit fluffier while balancing the crispness. I also like the overall interior decor that puts a bit of the island flavor. There is no bathroom, however.
The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. There are not many places in New York City where you can find an ube latte or a pandan latte. This time, I tried a pandan latte. Personally, the lattes are too sweet for me since they are is a lot of syrup added. Also, the drinks are quite pricey. However, I really liked the atmosphere.
Cute neighborhood spot for coffee or a quick pastry/bite to eat. I ordered the pandan latte but thought it was a little artificial tasting and too sweet. The space is nice though and great for a chat with friends or to duck out and do some work/spend some time by yourself. It’s not the most aesthetically chic or hip spot, but it does the job if you live nearby and want to get out of the house.
I found this place on Instagram and thought it looked really nice, so I decided to meet a friend here. I arrived earlier and ordered a matcha iced latte. While waiting, I realized I really needed to use the restroom—but unfortunately, they DONT HAVE BATHROOM It’s a bit disappointing because it’s such a cute café with a sit-down atmosphere, and I expected they’d offer basic amenities like a restroom. I ended up having to leave without drinking my latte and had to toss it since I found another café nearby that did have a restroom, and of course I couldn’t bring an outside drink in. I know this sounds like a bathroom rant 😂 but I do think it’s something important for cafés with indoor seating to consider. If it were just a takeaway stall, it would be totally understandable.
Came here on November 18, 2025 to get a pumpkin spice latte. Male barista on that day was so friendly and welcoming - greeted me on arrival, made small talk while preparing the drink, asked how I liked the drink while dining in, wished me a good day as I left. I was able to sit and enjoy my drink for close to 45 minutes that day in a pleasant atmosphere. Returned today (December 30, 2025) and ordered a turmeric latte - not tasty and expensive ($6 for a small cup)! However what bothered me most was the ambiance - the new barista (male with buzzed hair) & cashier lady (wearing purple sweatshirt) kept talking to each other and laughing loudly in Tagalog (they are both Filipino)! I can understand chit chat if there are no customers but the cafe was pretty packed today. Please talk quietly in English. I couldn't wait to finish my drink and get out of there!
Slow service, expensive coffee, drinks are too sweet, and don’t taste like good espresso was used (tasted watery)
Cute shop with really cool Asian flavors. Hurts to say this because I absolutely love the Filipino inspired flavors, but holy cow was the $7 cup of Buko Pandan Latte a major disappointment. I could not taste the buko or the pandan at all. It's just tastes like a regular no buko no pandan standard old latte. It's still tasty but it's not what I was looking forward to at all considering the price to liquid ratio.
I checked this place out for the first time seeing the overwhelmingly good reviews, but turned out to be very disappointed. Upon walking to the place the staff were not too friendly. They took my order without asking if I were to dine in or not and then threw away my receipt looking annoyed. The breakfast croissant I got was a bit hard and oily. Latte was fine. Overall not a pleasant experience and would not wanna come back here again.
The food is microwaved, but the coffee is good. Hopefully they get a grill and begin to make fresh food, in addition to serving great coffee. The atmosphere is calm, but the urgency from the baristas needs to be improved on. It shouldn’t take 10 minutes to get your order when there isn’t a line. Some smiling faces and quick service goes a long way.
Ube latte was kinda lackluster and they re were out of cookies. I went today to give them another chance but they were closed and didn't update the hours online.
Not going to lie…the pandan and ube lattes are so bad and so artificial. I do not recommend coming here for the drinks.
this place was honestly good if it was just drinks. I got the Serhant (Ube & matcha) and honestly, pretty good, if they hadn’t forgotten about our drinks for at least 15-20 minutes. After we asked them, then it took another 5 or so, didn’t track. Also, it was extremely loud today. Insanely loud in blasting music that felt like it wasn’t for a cafe. Apparently this isn’t the norm—but I’m disappointed because I heard good things about this place to work from. I only survived because the other person I was with already zoned in and I had airpods.
I placed an order today at 1 PM, sat on my table with my friend doing some work and noticed it was already 1:30 PM and didn't receive my drink. I went over, one of the workers was sitting on the floor wiping his nose, looked kind of sketch. I asked for my drink, and they asked what would I like, and eventually noticed they forgot to work on my order and my drink was received at 1:45 PM. I continued to work, but for the next 3 hours, they continued to blast all sorts of EDM and the workers were loud enough where I overhead their entire conversation about raving and some worker trying to invite his (girl) coworker to his next rave. I remember distinctly at 4 PM, the boy was playing his IG stories where you can hear the crowds and the yelling at an EDM rave. I have been here a few times, and this was the not what I expected from my other encounters. Please let your staff know about this review. Thank you.
