My family and I went to this restaurant for several times. The food, service and prices are the best. I would say almost everything on their menu is super delicious and portions are perfect. Their service is outstanding and atmosphere is very family oriented. Their manager/owner is available to answer any questions you may have and constantly asking if everything is ok at their service and food they serve. You must go there and have to experience how this restaurant is outstanding in the neighborhood. All the best.

It is truly a gem! I’ve tried dosa at many places, but theirs has the best taste by far—crispy, flavorful, and made fresh. Their papri chaat is also amazing, fresh, and absolutely mouthwatering, better than anywhere else I’ve tried. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great value for such delicious food. On top of that, the customer service is friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. It’s rare to find great taste, affordable prices, and excellent service all in one place, but Hillside Dosa Hutt has it all!

Low maintenance and not fancy but the food is absolutely delicious and service is amazing. My mom is a big fan of dosas and these taste homemade. The prices are fair and I def recommend eating in house because there’s nothing better than a fresh dosa. I tried the chaat for the first time and it was mouthwatering.

Nice small vegetarian restaurant with South Indian delicacies and North Indian street food as well. Idli was super soft - one of the best I had, menu vada was good and one of the best coconut and tamato chutney I will return to try dosas. Keep up the good work. Thanks

Delicious dosa spot. Prices and serving size are good, too. The sambar and chutney had great flavor. We got the onion rava masala dosa and really enjoyed it! Counter service and the staff were kind and attentive. Minimal aesthetics in the seating area - but come for the food. Nails that hole in the wall vibe.

Terrific South Indian food in a very informal location where you order at the counter, but they provide table service when your food is ready. A wide selection of Dosas and Bombay street food.

I have never had Dosa before and had not much of an idea what to expect but being a vegetarian I am always up to try something new. My mind was blown away by how absolutely delicious this food was. I had a Spinach Masala Dosa and my mom had the Masala Onion Dosa. The Spinach one was absolutely FABULOUS. I don’t know what the three sides across the top of the player were but the soup like one in the middle was so good and I loved the pink sauce like one on the right. There was legitimately no food left on my plate at the end and all of this food for such a great price. I will most DEFINITELY be back!

This has been our go to dosa spot and they never fail to disappoint. If you’re dining in, you order at the counter and they bring out each dish to you with the smaller dishes first (like pani puri), dosas later, then lastly desserts and teas if you ordered. This most recent time we realized we never got the gulab Jamoon we ordered and paid for until we got home… but it’s also on us for being overstuffed and forgetting we ordered dessert! Today we tried out different items from their menu from what we normally ordered - we’re so grateful for the employees patience with us as we asked what the different things were. We ordered both the pani puri and Dahi Batata puri with the latter we learned was served with yogurt as opposed to pani (which is water). We all liked the pani puri one more we ended up ordering another one after our dosas came! When it comes to dosas we usually order Mysore Masala Dosa because we love spicy, but to change things up a bit I ordered the rava mysore masala dosa - which is essentially the same thing BUT the batter is different. The rava is a bit crispier and I prefer it the regular dosa! We also ordered the paper dosa which came out being served on their tiny paper tray and being the entire length of the table!! Everything was so good and we ate everything in minutes. We ended the meal with some masala tea which we were able to order without any sugar! All in all, an amazing spot for dosas and we will be back again soon!

I had to update this review. It had been awhile since I last visited. I had really enjoyed it the last few times. Just a huge note for people who do not like coconut. Some of the dosa have coconut, please ask the staff so you are not surprised. My worst dosa experience to date was here. I definitely won't be visiting here again.

Dosa is good - that’s it. Don’t get paneer dosa as the paneer is not cooked. Sambhar and chutneys are ok. Bhaji-pau is substandard- had no taste and pau felt stale and was undercooked. Dosa comes in disposable partition plates which is the worst part as it soaks up oil and the dosa is hard to cut into eatable pieces.

I recently visited hilside dosahut where I unfortunately had the unpleasant experience of being served stale food. From the first bite, it was evident that the ingredients were far from fresh. The bread was dry and crumbly, lacking any softness or texture. The vegetables was rotten and bad smell. After eating I vomit twice. The overall dining experience was spoiled by the stale, lifeless quality of the food. What should have been a flavorful and enjoyable meal was instead lackluster and unappetizing. I can’t help but feel that the kitchen staff either didn’t care or simply wasn’t paying attention to the quality of what was being served.

Ordered from here on Uber Eats and the food was good but the red chutney was literally watered down. We decided to let the manager know just for some constructive feedback and the response was just brushing us off. It's fine I paid extra for something I basically ended up throwing out but just an acknowledgement would be nice as a business owner. Things happen but if a customer is nicely giving something constructive feedback- know how to answer professionally and maybe at least genuinely try for next time?

Do not go in there. Stay away from this place , the owner with the glasses on is very arrogant and does not have welcoming attitude. We ordered exactly what we knew to get but instead we got delivered something else and when I raised an issue with the owner told him we did not ate or touched the food , he had an Audacity to tell me that I should get a box and reorder and pay extra for something that’s not my mistake. Zero sense of giving customer service. Don’t waste your money here and the food quality is average.

I feel horrible about the dosa we ate. It was burn and bad taste. The price is very high. We never go to this place again. The owner message me under my review that I fake it. How shameful to tell like that. If it's small business also please give good quality food to people and if customers telling anything about food don't make them fool or telling we fake it so disappointed. We never come to eat there again. So simple paper dosa dollar 30 and burn it and gave to customers. If you people have time to blame customers utilize that time and serve good quality food to customers not burn dosa.I took pictures because I love to take pictures of my family doesn't mean that we enjoying food. Please don't do it to any other customers. Next time please give time to make quality food ,if your business need to grow further. Don't blame customers if they put review .I didn't go through all small business and giving them one star This is my first experience ,how rudely you mentioned if you get true review regarding your food.very bad behavior. Please don't do it to any other customers. Thank you. Order vada from Uber eats . Received burned vada . Taste really bad. Don't cheat people by serving burned food. Even we complain or submit proof owner said we fake he really don't accept his fault. Serve good food to guest otherwise it will affect your business.
