The real deal; it’s the only true ‘venue’ for regular live music. The food is very good. They struggle a touch with service when it’s busy but every server is amazing and they run 100%. We love being there. The new lounge is truly an amazing place to catch up with friends and relax. Love The Barn!

In a small town like Ramona, Ca certainly didn’t know what to expect, but what a gem of a restaurant. From the moment we walked in service was impeccable. We had Victoria as our server and not only is she an AMAZING server, she’s sweet and non intrusive as a server. Was always there when we needed her but didn’t hover. The place has a full stage and a band did come in but we left prior to their show. Excellent place. The food was magnificent. The best I’ve had in months and I live in Los Angeles!!! I had the filet mignon with fingerling potatoes and spinach and my husband had their baby back ribs. The meat was cooked to perfection. The ribs literally fell off the bone. Great wine to boot!!!

I’ve been coming to the barn for years now. I have to say most restaurants are hit and miss on quality of your food. The barn stands out to me by its constant consistency on the quality. I’d highly suggest anything that’s on their menu ! You won’t be disappointed! The service is also always 5star! Should out to one of our favs Shelby!

03-13-21, So far so good, they are still experimenting but are getting closer to an official opening. I had the New York Steak at 12oz with garlic mash potato and mixed vegetables. It had a grilled flavor and the cut of meat was thick so very tasty. Mashed potato’s and veggies were also very flavorful. 03-21-21, I’m adding another meal, the Ossobuco, it was tender and falling off the bone, great taste. This was served on the top of mashed potatoes.

Was passing through Ramona and randomly found this place. Steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. All of the sides were delicious as well. Wish this place was closer to home so we could visit more often.

Hidden gem. Up-scale dining in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. Food and service was excellent. They had live entertainment that was an added bonus. Can't say enough about the entertainer; a one man band that played everything from Elvis to George Straight.

This restaurant is fabulous! Great atmosphere, food, and drinks, and our server Evie was SO friendly. Perfect for date night or family night! The ribeye with garlic mash was on pointe, the prosciutto ceasar was perfectly dressed, and the chocolate cake with fresh berries was devoured with enthusiasm!

What a great place! Always like family - recent birthday dinner for my Momma's 80th and she was treated like a princess - the owners and the entire staff really went above and beyond to make her feel special - the atmosphere is country and rustic and the music is always fantastic with a variety of different genres - great "date nite" for a signature cocktail or a cold IPA and the food is always amazing - thank you Vito and company.

Very nice place with absolutely delicious food! I had the tri-tip steak and it was so mouth watering good. It was cooked perfect (medium rare) and so juicy it just melted in your mouth! We got seated in the lounge of which is a more private area with super comfortable seats and couches with real low lighting making it a bit more comfortable for my best friend and my wife's best friends blind first date of which we doubled with them. Everyone ordered different plates and everyone really enjoyed them from my tri-tip to the lobster raviolis, fish and soup and salad. The waitress was very nice and kept checking out drinks and if we needed anything or if the food was to our liking, of which I must say, seems harder and harder to find good service these days! We weren't rushed out and actually sit for awhile after our meal and just talked for a bit without any looks or being made uncomfortable 😁I highly recommend The Barn to everyone who's looking for a spectacular and very comfortable dining experience with awesome and delicious food!

We had a great experience at The Barn. We ordered drinks and the New York steak, and desserts everything was delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavor, and the drinks were well made. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive. It’s a great spot for a relaxed dinner with good food and a nice vibe. We’ll definitely be back!

The Barn in Ramona is great! The rustic atmosphere, coupled with delicious food and friendly service, makes it a must-visit. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the food. Every bite was a delight! The live music in the evenings added a great touch, creating a lively and enjoyable ambiance. If you're looking for a unique dining experience with a country twist, The Barn is definitely worth checking out.

The food and atmosphere was grand. The live music was so much fun. The food has a western meets Italy feel. We had wings as an appetizer and past for our main. The lasagna full of flavor and sauce on the cannelloni was so creamy. A great pick if you find your self up the hill.

Great fun atmosphere! We did have to wait upon arrival due to the soft opening and not having a reservation. But the food , great waitress service made up for it. All the decor and remodel looks amazing so much detail right down to the bales of hay. Definitely a place I will go back to! I couldn't even tell that they just opened do to the great organization and flow of the restaurant . Staff seemed happy and upbeat, tables cleared in a timely manner and the owner was walking around making sure everyone was doing good! So glad to have this new restaurant in RTOWN.

Stopped in to see if this would be a good spot for my Son's and Fiancee Rehearsal dinner venue since they are getting married in September in Ramona, was perfect, they have a large area in the back that works well. The crowd was there on a Saturday was pleasant and happy, great vibe!. Staff polite and all smiles, definitely what I like to see. Our waitress was warm and welcoming, and extremely helpful, everyone knew their stuff about the menu and venue. A +++ Refreshing. My future Daughter in law loved loved the mashed potatoes she ordered more!!. This is a very large open high ceilings establishment. Front had a large platform and a band was set up to play that night. We are definitely considering this location.

Once again, the Barn knocks it out of the Park. This time we ordered two Filet Mignons to go. Perfectly cooked and nicely boxed up. The young lady on the phone was nice and professional. We usually dine in and have had the ribs, the salmon and my son gets the Mac and Cheese. Always excellent service and good fun with your typical lively crowd. There is live music on select nights and be sure to make a reservation. A Ramona go to!!!!

We love love love The Barn! Our first visit was on a Thursday, where they host line dancing on Thursday and we fell in love. Shelby was our first server and we love when we get to see her! The Barn always has live music on the weekends (I think Friday & Saturday) and they host private events. They recently have added a lounge area which is BEAUTIFUL and provides full service. The Barn is my favourite Caesar salad in San Diego, but let me tell you about the LASAGNA. It's homemade, layers and layers of flavourful sauce, meat and cheeses. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is my favourite in San Diego as well, the sauce is blue cheese and the chicken is cooked perfectly and the sauce is not overbearing. There for the happy hour? Try their potato skins... it's a half potato that baked to perfection with cheese, bacon & sour cream BUT GET THEIR RANCH. Their ranch dressing is made in house and SUPERIOR to any other ranch, I promise. Fave drink, you ask? The Shelby Wrangler. Also they have amazing decor, especially during the Halloween & Christmas season.

1st time stopping by on my way back from Julian. Our server was very attentive and deserved the tip. She was patient towards the youngest child in our group. The food is also very Italian in a an American barn style "home" lol. Very unorthodox!

Excited about checking this place out... The atmosphere is as great! Considering it’s still a soft opening, the food portions were large and the plating was beautiful but unfortunately things were a bit under seasoned.

Maybe, just maybe the best place to dine in Ramona. Steak was done done just how I wanted it. You know, sometimes the steak comes out a little overcooked, or the fat is way under cooked on the steak. The Barn got it done right. Great steak. Veggies and mashed potatoes on the side were done very well. Great seasoning and flavor across the plate. The ribeye steak plate is enough to share. We split it and felt very satisfied, and even got desert. Get the cheesecake, with the strawberries and strawberry drizzle all over... my goodness, I'm so happy we split the steak dinner. Now, yes, we did have drinks before dinner, and they were spot on. The bourbon margarita, so good I got a 2nd. The service was just great. We waited a bit for drinks, but the server kept us updated, and she was so nice. Great place for a good time. The only reason The Barn is getting a 4 is because they had oysters on the menu, and they didn't have them. Still had a great time. I'm definitely going back. See y'all next time.

Had an amazing time the last time I was at The Barn this time the waitress said she couldn't put bubble in the can when we told he the sodas were all flat. In general she was unpleasant. I will go again but make sure she is not my waitress.

I came out here for the first time with family and friends looking forward to nice meal and a good time. The band was ‘Daring Greatly’. And they were awesome! But the first thing I got was an angry middle aged tattooed waitress with a bad attitude barking repeatedly “two credit cards for this table period!!!” No, I don’t want to split. So instead I ordered nothing. I opened a separate tab at the bar, got a couple of beers, enjoyed the band, and adios.

Love the Thursday line dancing experience, but the dining was a little odd. It was a little abrasive to me to be charged 2$ for a plastic water bottle with my 30$ meal, as this is a sit down restaurant. I have never experienced that before. We were spending well over 70$ at our table and refused water cups. Plastic luke warm water is not great when I’m paying for a nice dining experience 😭 we are also charged the cover charge even though we are dining. It seems gross and money hungry. The mood when we came in was not welcoming at all and they made us stand outside for four minutes until they could technically charge us the cover. I’ve had so many customer service jobs I was just surprised at the really unwelcoming vibe at the front. It felt like they wanted us to leave and kept saying we would have to buy four entrees even though that was the plan because we were dining. The food was delish but if you are going during the line dancing I wouldn't recommend dining in because I think the staff is overwhelmed with everything going on and you won’t get the best experience for the price you are paying. We had to wait an hour for our food and another hour after finishing for the check. (Our waitress was very sweet) it just seems like maybe the dining/dancing system isn’t in the best rhythm and because of that the individual customer experience gets lost.

Food is a hit & miss. Food presentation has definitely gotten better over the years. However prices are debatable because of inconsistency & portion sizes. Too expensive for what you get. For example a simple Spaghetti $21 & the portion size is pathetic. I can pay less at a fancier Italian restaurant & get a way bigger portion.

I started with the French onion soup. It was not like any I have ever had but not necessarily in a good way. Where French onion this normally savory, this was somewhat sweet. That may very well be due to the onions they used but I am not quite certain. It was by no means horrible, just different from the countless bowls of French Onion soup I have had in the Chicagoland area. Now on to the lasagna. The first forkful actually had me in stitches. It could best be described as sloppy joes with noodles. There may have been as much as a tablespoon of ricotta cheese on the entire dish, but the noodles were cooked perfectly. The lasagne itself was slightly on the runny side as well. I was told by many locals that the service there is poor but I did not find that to be the case that night. I was there early and figured the place would start filling up by 6 but that never happened either. My waitress was adorable and knew how to pronounce "caprese" properly. She asked about the lasagne which began a short conversation where she revealed that the owners were Sicilian. I asked her if they ever ate there. I am half tempted to go in their kitchen and show them how to cook a lasagne. After having an abomination of a canolli at Mama Ramona's a few days earlier, I decided to try the tiramisu, which was fair. While dining, I noticed that they have a wood burning pizza oven and might consider going back to try but maybe they are better known as a steak house that does not offer T-Bones. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful both inside and out. I usually check out the restroom for cleanliness but did not.

It's hard to figure out when they're gonna have live music. We usually dine on weekends bit haven't in over a year because the live music is so loud, you can't hold a conversation with your group. Well, I dined here with my family last night (Tuesday, December 30th) and there was live music again which would've been okay if the singer's goal was to provide HOUSE music, but instead, the singer was INSANELY loud and oftentimes obnoxious, asking for applause and acting as though this were her personal concert. None of us could hear each other speak. Its just sooo bad. If it was relaxing music or the volume turned down to provide a "background ambience", it'd be fine. But i felt like we were eating at a concert we didnt want to be at. Another couple left shortly after sitting, and we wanted to do the same but were celebrating my sister's birthday and she really wanted to eat there. Best to order TO-GO.

Although this place has fantastic energy and atmosphere, its ridiculous and illegal to charge money for water. Not only that they charge a "cover" charge that is unfair. I am making this review mostly as a warning to future possible lawsuits. The dance teachers are super fun though!! But this place unfortunately feels very money hungry 😕 was here a year ago and it was fantastic but the customer service by this company overall is just upsetting and ruins the mood

We moved here from the coast in April 2024, and at first, The Barn seemed promising. I’ve been there about five times, and while the first two visits were pleasant—despite slow service due to a single bartender handling the entire restaurant—things took a turn for the worse after that. On our third visit, I wanted to order pizza, only to be told that the owner is typically the one who makes it and wasn’t there that night. That meant no pizza. It was baffling that a restaurant would rely on just one person for such a staple menu item. Still willing to give it another shot, we returned and encountered even more issues. My wife tried ordering dinner but was told they were out of multiple basic ingredients. She then opted for a baked potato, only to be told they were out of sour cream. How does a restaurant run out of something as simple as sour cream without making a quick trip to the store? Our most recent visit was the most frustrating. We wanted wings as an appetizer, but the waitress returned to inform us they would take 15 minutes just to start cooking. Already hungry, we passed. Then, my 19-year-old son ordered a Diet Coke. It was served in a small cocktail glass, and after just a few sips, it was gone. When he asked for a refill, they informed him they were out of Diet Coke—seriously? My wife ordered seltzer water, also served in a small cocktail glass. When she ordered another, they again served it in the same tiny glass. When we got the bill, we were stunned to see they charged $3 per seltzer water and $3 for the Diet Coke. This restaurant needs to get its act together. Running out of basic items, failing to accommodate customers, and charging premium prices for meager portions of soda is unacceptable. Unfortunately, after multiple disappointing experiences, we’re not sure we’ll be returning.

The people and service was great hence the two stars. The food overpriced and not much above a diner but for twice the price. For example the shrimp cocktail was 4 shrimp for $18.... The veggies that with my steak melted in my mouth (they're not supposed to do that) to contrast the not so rare steak I had to gnaw on like a chew toy. As for decor, the restaurant is making good headway trying to be modern and taking strides in the right direction. However, they couldn't quite let go of the 90's with their route 66 fabric booths and plastic condiment cups. We wanted to love this place... Hoping they improve with time.

Food expensive with little portions. Had to return French Onion Soup. No flavor at all. Filet Mignon was really dry! The service was almost at non existent. We had to go and get a to go container eventually at the bar and bag our own food. It is called The Barn. Country Decorated. You would expect Country Music. Not the case. We had a terrible time and spent a lot of money! I don’t recommend this place to anyone. We were staying next door at a Hotel and it was convenient. Stay away!!

We used to love going line dancing at the Barn every Thursday. I always order food and take care of my servers. Tonight, we were seated at a table while my kids were deciding what to order, and I was dancing with my mom friends. A server named Kelsey approached the table, and when my daughter asked for a minute to decide, Kelsey rudely told her that if they didn't order soon, they would need to leave the table, and that they couldn't order sides, only full meals. My daughters are all 14 and under, and this made them cry. It was completely inappropriate for Kelsey to talk to my children like that. She should have spoken to me or another adult. Apparently, the new policy is that everyone at the table must order a full meal, or they can't sit there at all. I always order food when we come, but tonight my friend, who has celiac disease and can't eat there, was told she couldn't sit at the table even though she buys food for her daughter. We waited over half an hour to talk to the owner, but he ignored us, even though he looked right at us and knew we were waiting. The food has never been impressive, and the service has always been subpar. The owner clearly doesn't care about customer service. I'm sure my review won't make a difference, but I wanted to share my experience. Everyone who works there looks unhappy, except for the sweet hostess and the only server we like, Shelby. On another occasion, I was seated at my reserved table and put my jacket on the chair before going to dance for a minute. When I looked over, I saw my table had been pushed together with another table. I moved it back to its original spot, but the lady who had moved it came over and yelled at me, claiming it wasn't my table. I pointed out my jacket and explained I had just been seated there, but she insisted it wasn't mine. I asked Shelby for help, and she assisted us in getting another table. This rude lady, who was a bartender at the time, never apologized. I don't think she works there anymore, as their turnover rate is high. I just don't understand how an establishment can care so little about its customer service

DO NOT order the "18 oz" rib eye. It was literally half fat. I would have gotten more meat from a taco shop carne asada burrito. The baked potato was so tiny, a bag of tattor tots would be better. The drinks are way over priced. Worst $100 I've spent. I wanted to treat myself, but instead punished myself here.

This service is absolutely trash. It’s hard to even get into the restaurant. And when you do, you’re just pushed off like you’re nothing. I think it’s an ownership issue. You can tell there’s some back door deals going on. Or maybe the owners don’t know it. Keep your kids out of the bathrooms unless accompanied by another adult after 5 PM . Ready for somebody else to take it over and make it a substantial restaurant.

The barn is probably the worst restaurant in Ramona. Walked in an hour before closing no one was in the dining room at all so you would think you would get good service and maybe the food wouldn’t be terrible but neither was true. Besides, not letting us try the only Cabernet they had by the glass the waitress couldn’t remember much with an empty dining room to boot. Steaks came out tough and overcooked. You’re way better off going to De Carlo’s or Rachel’s. That’s the last time I’ll ever go to the barn!

Me and my family used to be regulars here. We loved the Thursday night dance nights and we would show up every time to buy food drinks and dance. We went regularly and would get a table, some food and drinks, but we stopped ordering drinks when they began charging 3$ for a tiny glass filled mostly with ice and no refills. The food eventually became underseasoned and then they began charging for entree after 8pm. This was understandable considering most people would only show up to dance after 8pm, so we would show up around 7 to eat, then dance after 8, however, unlike any place that I have ever been before, they added 5$ per person to our tab when we were done with our night, despite showing up for dinner an hour earlier than the charges began to apply. The service is an entirely different story now. The service was always mediocre, but it was okay because the atmosphere of the other guests and food made it bearable. But once we began getting charged for entree and not served anything that we paid for, it was no longer worth anything to us. We quit going a few months ago. Recently, it was my birthday. Since I live in ramona, I didn't want to go anywhere, and the barn is quite literally the only place that has anything even mildly interesting going on, so I invited some friends and hoped for the best after not attending for months. We paid the 5$ entree and ordered food and drinks. The waiters were non existent but we could ignore that. Then we were informed that they began charging 2$ for non refillable water 😭 One of the friends that I brought has a condition where she needs to mix medicine into water and drink it in between bites of food or else she will begin feeling very ill. But of course, after ordering her steak, paying the 5$ entree fee, and asking for permission, she was denied her water bottle with her medicine. We asked if she could buy one of their 2$ water bottles and pour her medicine into there, but they said no to that too. They accused her of using drugs next. The staff here is ridiculous and humiliating. She was very hurt by this and left my birthday party. She didnt even get to finish her food. She was basically denied entree after paying about 60$ to be there. She even showed them her prescription bottle and was utterly humiliated. This ruined all of our moods, then the staff began some very annoying behaviors. One of my other friends ordered a sprite and was handed a half full cup of ice and watery sprite. The waitress came up moments later, when we are clearly not done with our meal, and told my friend to pay her bill (of 3.23$) immediately. She then proceeded to stand the bill holder up in front of my friend, blocking her off from the rest of the table. After putting the bill flat on the table and discussing how rude this was amongst ourselves, she came back and did it again. Now 2 of my friends have been blatantly disrespected and I'm sitting there feeling like a fool for going back to this place in hopes of a good time. We paid our bills and walked towards the door, when our waitress walks to the door and begins waving in our personal space and saying "Bye! Bye! Bye!" In each of our faces as we walk out. Nothing about this place can redeem it now. The drinks are underdone and overpriced, the food is a hit or miss and overpriced either way, the dancing is fun but also overpriced, and the staff is beyond disrespectful. I warned everyone beforehand that the staff are nightmares and to be extra kind and gentle to avoid messing up our experiences, and they still harassed us despite our heightened manners. The only polite and kind staff member was Luz. Thanks for being a gem Luz, you made our night better truly. Avoid this place no matter how bored you are. We had more fun on the car ride there than we did inside.

The service was extremely slow it over and hour for our food to arrive. The portion was extremely small and the Salmon was so dry I couldn't eat it. I doubt I will ever go back. It was very disappointing. Because I had heard great things about the Barn. Sad !

We came to celebrate a birthday, and they tried to seat us in the “lounge area” for a party of 10 with kids. food was good however they forgot a plate and made beverages wrong bc they didn’t have certain things on hand(should have let us know before serving the drink) Also refills don’t come timely( I think they should serve sodas in larger cups instead of cocktail glasses, if they aren’t going to serve drinks timely)
