Die Simplon Bar & Restaurant liegt direkt an einer Seitengasse zur Zürcher Bahnhofstrasse und somit in unmittelbarer Nähe zum ZH HB. Hier findet man nebst tollen Cocktails auch eine kleine, aber feine Speisekarte mit Spezialitäten wie Cordon Bleu, Flammkuchen, Lachs Entrecote, Burger oder Club Sandwich. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, auf Wünsche wird eingegangen. Der bestellte Flammkuchen schmeckte und wurde rasch serviert. Hier kann man sich gut unterhalten, sitzen tut man bequem. Bezahlt haben wir ca 55 Franken pro Person inkl Tee/ Kaffee und Dessert.
Über Mittag sehr angenehm, da nicht so voll und laut, sehr aufmerksamer, netter Service, gutes Essen. 👍
Mi sono trovata veramente bene. L'ambiente è molto accogliente e anche romantico. I cocktail sono favolosi e colorati. Il menù può sembrare semplice, ma il cibo è veramente molto curato con porzioni grandi, ma soprattutto è buono! Poi vorrei applaudire lo staff che si è occupato di noi in maniera molto gentile. Ci tornerò sicuramente

Manuel hat uns voller Energie bedient und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Die Cocktails waren auch eine 1+ mit Sternchen! 🙌 Gerne wieder!
Seit Anfang 2025 bin ich mit einer Meetup-Gruppe regelmässig in der Simplon Bar und sehr begeistert. Das gesamte Team ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Stimmung im Team scheint mir sehr gut zu sein. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich mit gedämpftem Licht, edlen Farben (Dunkelbraun, Bronze, Rot als Kontrast). Sehr empfehlen kann ich die Cocktails, bisher wurde ich noch nie enttäuscht. Meine Favoriten momentan: Pornstar Martini, Geissepeter, Espresso Martini. Alle frisch gemacht, je nachdem auch eine besondere Empfehlung an der Bar kein Thema - ich wurde hier schon mehrfach positiv überrascht und habe feine Cocktails oder Drinks bekommen, die nicht auf der Karte standen. Preise finde ich sehr fair für den Standort, 17 CHF direkt am Zürich HB. Von der Speisekarte habe ich bisher nur den Ziegenkäse mit Salat getestet, hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen :) Für die Meetup-Gruppe haben wir schon zahlreiche Reservationen gebucht, verschieben oder auch absagen müssen. Bisher jedes Mal ohne Probleme gelaufen und es macht mir immer wieder Freude, Zeit hier zu verbringen. Weiter so!
Absolute Empfehlung! Die Simplon Bar ist für mich der Hotspot in Zürich – super zentrale Lage, faire Preise und ein unglaublich freundliches, aufmerksames Team. Besonders begeistert bin ich vom Pinky Pink Mocktail und dem Burger – ein Gedicht! Auch die restlichen Gerichte sind frisch und lecker. Ich komme immer wieder gerne vorbei. Wer in Zürich unterwegs ist, sollte hier unbedingt vorbeischauen!

Awesome food and service. We ate here 3 times in 6 weeks. We took friends there also. When we returned the 3rd time Manuel remembered us from the previous 2 times (6weeks had passed). We highly recommend this venue.

Great place to eat and drink in the centre of Zürich, very close to the main railway station. Extremely attentive service who recommend a very interesting dark beer which washed down my schnitzel very nicely 😀
Ive known this place for 10plus years the drinks are spectacular, with home made popcorn seasoned special and very delicious. Love this place. Staff are also friendly and always smile❤️
My husband & I were looking for a respite from our travel & a good late lunch. So glad we came here - burger was very tasty & Caesar salad had good flavor w lots of chicken in it. Liked the atmosphere - little classy and nice vibe. Servers were super friendly.
Fantastic food, service and quiet seating. We ordered the smoked salmon and Mediterranean flammkuchen as well as the German mixed salad and all were excellent!They have an English menu. Highly recommend!

Simplon Bar is a super nice place to have a drink. Their cocktails are delicious and the ambiance is fantastic. Highly recommended for a great night out.
The vibe is nice. I ordered Rindshorücken and Flammkuchen Classic. The Rindshorücken is very salty. The waitress arranged a new one for me. As a customer, i am enjoyable to stay there. All the staff are very friendly and always serve us with smile. Really excellent service and the food is delicious too. Highly recommended!
I don't know what the secret to their popcorn is, (must be love or something) but let me warn you: once you start eating it you CAN'T stop. This is not a review, this a warning. The popcorn is that good, it should be illegal. Oh and yes the service is very nice as well. No seriously, they are great guys actually, they really make you feel welcome.

I can say with confidence that this place has a friendly and attentive service above the standards, felt welcome right from the beginning. The food has its own thing, I recommend the Flammkuchen. On the drinks, a nice Glühwein for this cold weather.
We got a private room to ourselves by chance! I had the Spätzle with beef meat which I highly recommend. The waiters were super friendly and attentive, prices were reasonable.
Nice place for casual dining I visited this place for the New Year's Eve dinner. The menu which they offered was very good. They offered us a starter of Flammkuchen, followed by salad, soup, main course and desert. Personally I didn't like the fact that it was a lot of food, and the place didn't organize anything special to allow the guests to dance or to party for the celebration. All things considered I would still recommend this place.

Schnelle und freundliche Service in einem angenehmen Ort. Die Fischknüsperli war ein wenig schwer (zu viel Panierung und Öl), die Frites waren gut.

Simplón is near the station. One thing for sure the service here is amazing! I was craving for one last steak tartare before leaving and this was unique. You could add a shot of whisky or cognac with it and make it spicy too! It’s not mixed with the usual gherkins etc but different. Nice with a Campari Spritz! Also reasonable prices for Zurich.
Drinks lecker, Dessert auch. Die anderen Gerichte kenne ich nicht, das Tartare jedoch überzeugt nicht: sehr viel Ketchup (zu „tomatig“) und das Gefühl kaum Fleisch darin zu haben. Fühlte sich beim Streichen aufs Brot und geschmacklich im Gaumen eher wie Tomatenpüree an und nicht wie Tartare. Werde wiederkommen und was Anderes probieren. Das Tartare kann ich hingegen definitiv nicht empfehlen.
