Everything was delicious, but the new sweet shrimp taco was just too sweet! Definitely not recommended unless you absolutely enjoy super duper sweet shrimp! Stick to the the Chicken Tikka which was absolutely BOMB!! Next time I’m just going to get 3 of them and call it an order!

The restaurant is great! I loved the food and service. The red velvet cake was very decadent and sweet, and the chicken and waffle tacos were savory, tangy, but subtly sweet. I enjoyed my food. My only complaint is that the restrooms did not have a great smell, but that can be easily solved.

I’ve been to alot of Velvet tacos and this one is 1000% the best one I’ve ver been to!!! And it’s really just because of Lilian, she is the kindest woman I’ve ever run into. God bless her!

Where to start?? This place was amazing. Fast casual dining, stripped down decor, welcoming space, good use of humor in the signs and decor. The staff was fantastic. Super kind and helpful. (It was a cold drizzly morning when I arrived- I was waiting for a bus, I was wet and cold- and the staff has earned my eternal gratitude for their willingness to help me! But that is another story…) I asked for recommendations and let the manager surprise me. I recieved two breakfast tacos- one with chicken feathers and one with brisket and bacon. Clearly, my morning was looking up. 😁 The tacos were AMAZING. Inspired flavor combos. Delicious sauces. Fresh ingredients. Made to order. I will be heading back to experience the dinner tacos as soon as possible. Thank you.

The quality of the ingredients was evident in every taco, and the attention to detail in the preparation was truly commendable. But let me tell you about the real showstopper - the Red Velvet Cake. If you thought tacos were the highlight, wait until you sink your teeth into this heavenly creation. The moist and decadent layers of red velvet cake, generously slathered with cream cheese frosting, were simply divine. It was love at first bite, and we couldn't resist going back for seconds (and maybe even thirds). The Red Velvet Cake alone is reason enough to choose Velvet Tacos for any occasion!

This is one of my to-go-to places. The food is simple and delicious. I favor the Mexi-Cali shrimp tacos, which are always filled with plenty of shrimp. My husband favors the slow-roasted angus brisket bowl. He loves the entire thing as is. Thier queso Blanco is delicious.

With all the snow melting right now, it’s really not practical. A lot of water was coming straight into my car—not just a few drops. The employee stood there reading off my order (which I’ve never experienced before), holding the bag while water was actively coming into my car, and asked me twice if I wanted sauce instead of trying to move things along quickly. Honestly, this is a common-sense issue and something they should fix..

Velvet Taco is my go to taco joint. It was especially wonderful today because we were greeted by Ash. He has a warm smile and was quite knowledgeable. The food is amazing. I look forward to the Taco of the week. Always amazing!!! I have to say again that I'm a time when people aren't as friendly, Ash made us feel welcome.

I like Velvet Taco. The concept is fun, and the menu’s creative. Some taco flavors miss the mark for me, but I enjoy most of them. Ooh. Loved going to this place. Velvet Taco has the best kinda Tacos I've ever had! I loved the serving portion and how they neatly packaged our To-go order. AAand, they had 5 veg options, which was fantastic. I just wish & hope that they switch gloves or use tongs while preparing the veg dishes..after preparing meat dishes. Other than that, a HUGE Fan!

I’ve always loved Velvet Taco but this is second time at this location that I have waited 20+ min for two tacos at lunch time. I understand gets busy but there wasn’t really many customers eating in the restaurant which i was planning to do but priority seemed to be put on all the to go orders. There was a catering order followed by 10 or more other online orders. Would think you would want to better prioritize people that are dining in a little better else just make the restaurant a to-go restaurant only. Second time this has occurred where the to-go orders just trump everyone in dining in.

The tacos are great, the service is good, however there was so much salt on the chips it could have been a chip challenge. Almost as if they were deliberately over salted. Not acceptable at all.

This is the 3rd time we have picked it up only to get home and realize it’s wrong. Honestly with so many taco places nearby it is easier to just go somewhere that does what’s on the receipt. Worth it in person.

I want to start by giving credit where it’s due. We genuinely love Velvet Taco and have ordered from the Richardson location countless times through the app for both pickup and delivery. We’ve also had great dine-in experiences at the Addison location. The late hours are a huge plus for those of us who work long corporate hours. Last night, however, was disappointing. We placed a delivery order around 10 pm, something we’ve done many times before. We understand deliveries are handled through a third party. In the past, when a driver canceled, the store handled it with empathy and helped resolve the issue. This time, we received a text saying the driver canceled with no explanation and were instructed to contact the store. When we called, the first employee was polite but couldn’t locate the order, possibly due to it being third-party. The call was then handed to a supervisor. After explaining the situation again, we were told—bluntly—that she would have to contact dispatch after closing to “see” if we could get a refund. There was no timeline, no reassurance, and no clear next steps. When we asked for clarification, the same response was repeated without addressing our concerns. I understand the store is not at fault for a driver canceling. However, when customers are directed to call the store for resolution, there should be clear processes in place and communication handled with professionalism and empathy. The situation was already frustrating, and the interaction only escalated it instead of resolving it.

I had called in 3 times to place an order and got put on hold each time (would place me on hold as soon as they answer and forget about me until I called back and did the same thing to me twice). Once I got a chance to tell them all I want was one order of elote they said it will be ready in a few minutes. Plus I called in 10 mins in advance before I got there. When I got there, the order was still not ready and nobody even came to the window until I knocked on it and when they answered the window, they said to pull around and make a full circle because the order is still not ready remind you that was already 10 minutes in for a cup of corn. The staff was very unprofessional and untrained, barely paid attention to the window, and no etiquette on how to take orders over the phone (putting clients on hold and forgetting about them. Happened on a Tuesday around 6:30 PM

I ordered from this place through DoorDash, but the packaging was very careless. The containers leaked and everything was mixed and smashed by the time it reached me. When ordering delivery, proper packing is very important, and this was a big letdown.
