C Street

We've been to C Street multiple times, and it's always been great. Tonight (1-4-2017), we had a reservation for 6 PM. We arrived at 5:30, and the place was locked up and dark - they supposedly open for dinner at 5:00 on Wednesdays. When we made the reservation, there was no mention on the site that they might be closed early. We will go back, but tonight's experience was very unprofessional of them. Don't accept reservations if you can't honor them.

I had the worst experience at C Street this sunday for brunch. The waiter, I believe his name was Jeremey or Jeffrey, was very rude and not attentive at all. His attitude was horrible and he was not personable at all. My friend purchased a groupon deal for C street that was expired, however, once they expire recipients are still able to obtain the original value of the coupon. They called ahead of time to make sure the groupon deal was still valuable. They spoke with Jeffrey and he indicated yes. However, when they gave him the groupon at the end of brunch he denied speaking with them and stated that they could not use it. We spoke with the manager and he couldnt have cared less. We were dismissed and treated with no respect. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in carytwon. I will NEVER go back to C street!

Is there even management here? If there is, they need to be fired. I arrived here around 6:30 on a Tuesday night with a party of 3. There were maybe 3 tables max the entire night but the service was made it appear as if the waiter was cooking in the back as well. Inattentive, didn't bring the drinks we requested, didn't check on us, and screwed up the check, I've had better service at waffle house. The presentation on the food was very good, but the taste of the food itself leaved much to be desired. For a place that charges what it does and portrays the ambiance of a classy restaurant, I've had better tasting food at restaurants charging half the price and shorts and sandals were the normal attire. I ordered the airplane fried chicken, which itself was tasty, but the cheese grits lacked flavor the the green beans had no flavor. Get your act together C Street. At one time, I'm told this was a great establishment, with service staff and food on point. Now it's a place I don't plan on ever going back.
