This place is my regular haunt in Lakeland. Best and most constant Mexican food coupled with a wide variety of comfort American. We order the chicken enchiladas, best toppings ever, their giant burrito, and amazing nachos. We order here at least twice a month.

I absolutely love the food! I go there 3-5 times a week. The chips are always fresh and last for days. The pricing is amazing for nowadays. It's cheaper than McDonald's and the quality is home made. I definitely recommend this place. They are also very welcoming. I hope you guys enjoy the food as much as I do.

After a morning hike off of the Ortega Highway, decided to meet a buddy for lunch in Lake Elsinore.. He was coming up from Temecula. No clue where to meet for lunch, so just happened to find El Agave. Glad we did. Nice place. Great service and really good Mexican comfort food. I had the taco plate and my buddy had a fish burrito. Thumbs up on both. Washed it all down with Modelo and lime.

Absolutely good food if you like real Mexican street food. I have had very few places prepare food like this since I left Mexico.

So so SO good! So far have had the lengua taco plate (with a side of beans and rice) and the potato flauta plate (with a side of beans and rice) and it has all been such good food. Glad to finally find a place with lengua around here! 😁 Always passed by this place and kept meaning to check it out and glad to finally have time to check it out because it’s a hidden gem! The staff are very friendly and welcoming too. It’s a small place and they recently made it a bit bigger with a bigger seating section but still on the small side. But good stuff to take to go and just as good at home as it is in the restaurant. The prices are reasonable too, nothing too pricey. Definitely recommend! Update: their pizzas were some of the best around! But no longer serving pizza it seems 😭 they were cheaper than anywhere else and so delicious. Hopefully they’ll make a comeback soon!

Excellent tasting authentic food. I love the fact that I could order lengua here in addition to that it was still very reasonably priced. The perportion is generous. And they also give you complimentary chips and green chili while you wait for your food dining in. The t.v. screens are on to entertain you too. This will be my go to place for the variety of really good food at prices that my budget cab afford these days. Love it!

It’s great when you find a gem where not only is the food awesome, the service and staff are too. Everything I ordered taste sooo great and was very plentiful!!! I only wish it was closer to home, but it is well worth the drive, and I will be returning here often! Thee best Mexican food around!! I just enjoyed an excellent quality Carnitas torta that was a pickup order for lunch. I was going to eat half but ate it all. Great flavor on an excellent roll. Tried and enjoyed both the red and green sauces. Keep it up. Can't wait to try all the varieties of meats and plates offered. This is the place in a good location for us!

So thats awesome. Definitely recommended this place.

They were delicious. The breakfast burrito is my best burrito I’ve ever had. I will be recommending this place to people.

A neighborhood Mexican food place, nothing special decor-wise, the food is good, freshly cooked. Nothing special, their refried beans are exceptional. Expect a wait, not because they're busy but because everything is freshly cooked. Their salsa is (take the paint off your car) hot. I rated it a 4 because on this side of the lake they're pretty much the only game in town. We need more choices. More restaurants, a grocery market and a Starbucks would be nice. But hey, we got a Dollar General... sigh.

In my previous review, I mentioned an issue where my quesadilla took a while, and there wasn’t much communication about the delay. It turned out they had to remake it, but I just wish they had checked in and kept me informed. It wasn’t a huge issue, but a little communication would have gone a long way. That said, the service overall has consistently been great, and the food is still delicious—especially for a spot in Lake Elsinore. The restaurant is always spotless and well-kept, which I really appreciate. My family and I love coming here. We’ve tried the tacos, burritos, gorditas, nachos—you name it. And we never skip on the chips and salsa—they’re our favorite! Plus, it’s so conveniently close by. Definitely a local gem. ____________________________________________ The ambiance is always great here it’s where you can bring your family for like a nice meal together. They have plenty of tables for small and bigger parties. Staff is very friendly very welcoming but service can be a bit better. There not super attentive once your seated. They take long periods to come and check in on you if there’s anything else you might like, if anythings missing or if everything is to our satisfaction. I waited 1hr for my quesadilla the last time I was here. They apologized they burned the first one apparently and had to remake it but they didn’t communicate that with me until I went up to them. I had to leave though because I had class starting soon so I had my sibling stay and it was switched to go instead of eating there. They make their tortillas from hand so it’s made fresh to order. I Can understand that and don’t mind the wait it’s just the lack of communication that bothered me. The food is great here though I would recommend there Gorditas the tripa, chicharrón, asada or pastor goes the same with their tacos. There birria is okay. There menudo is good too. There quesadillas are good as well.

Whenever she's out of town I usually eat out and I been living in the area for about six years and had never stopped. My son and I tried it out and we both liked the food. Serving sizes are good. Their burritos are big. I say it's for two people. I been back a few more times. Prices are not bad. Service can be a little slow if they have a lot of take out orders.

Food was surprisingly good. I noticed they do a lot of take out orders, I think they also do phone orders. We ate in. Im very picky with my Mexican food as my wife is an excellent cook. Whenever she's out of town I usually eat out and I been living in the area for about six years and had never stopped. My son and I tried it out and we both liked the food. Serving sizes are good. Their burritos are big. I say it's for two people. I been back a few more times. Prices are not bad. Service can be a little slow if they have a lot of take out orders.

Staff is nice, place is clean. Food is alright. I got two carnitas tacos that were sort of dry and not flavored too much. 1 fish taco which was not really crunchy and lacked flavor. Side of rice which wasn’t flavorful just bland. Green salsa is good though. Overall the place was alright nothing special.

2nd time coming here the 1st time the food was great my family and I enjoyed it. The 2nd time we decided to come we decided to try their special for Monday the 6.99 california burrito which they have on their Instagram page and they had it on their screen last week that we came. Don't go by what they have on their screen or social media I recommend calling first if you're not closed by and you're making the drive just to have their food.

I just bought a chicharron burrito and what I got was straight rice and beans with 5 small little pcs of chicharron what a waste of money for this.i bought from them and it's been very good but today was bad it was just rice and beans.

I came here and got a carne asada burrito food had no flavor. We also got a pepperoni pizza and also had no flavor. my wife ordered the birria tacos I believe it was quesabirria tacos and she said those were good.

The food was great! We loved that they provide large cups for coffee. The customer service was good, and the food was delicious. The salsas were excellent, but I think they should serve the birria hotter and offer a salsa specifically for it. Overall, we loved it! And we love the fact they open at 6:00 Update december 21 2024 I regret to say that I can no longer recommend this restaurant and will not be returning. The chips and salsa, which were once complimentary, now come with a charge, and refills are not provided. Additionally, the coffee service is subpar; it’s brought out only when the food is nearly ready, likely to avoid refill requests. The menudo portion has decreased, and to make matters worse, mine was served cold. Another disappointing aspect was the nearly $5 fee for paying with a debit card, which I find unreasonable. Overall, this restaurant has lost the quality and experience it once offered.

I did see other people walking around but not to wait tables honestly didn't know what they were doing but thinking to myself someone needs to help this girl serving tables. Service was not good she only took our drinks ordered food and delivered food. She basically ignored us the rest of the time. I had to go up to the front to ask for a to go box and check. Food was just ok something seemed off about all of it. My son said chips tasted weird and the salsa tasted off. Also they charge for chips and salsa which I thought was complimentary but it was 2.99. Food was ok maybe it was the style it was made that we just didn't like. Idk what it was but everything tasted off or weird. I will never come here again.
