awesome tacos, but come here for some papusas if you've never had them i love my tacos and am a fan of tex mex, its good to branch out and this place has authentic flavors and meals. and it is harder to find a papusa place in houston than it should be.

Idk if they got a new cook or what but 6 months ago the food was not good and today I came in for some pupusas expecting maza heavy pupusas but it wasn't. The maza was above standard. I highly recommend the pupusas.

This is the first time I've ever posted about a restaurant but I am MOVED lol. I had the combo plate....chz ench, tamale, beef taco and an impressively dressed tostada. Charro beans and rice are some of the best of both. EAT HERE ITS GOOD 👍

The draw here is Salvadoran food. I ordered from that menu a plate with a variety of things including a pupusa and fried yucca. The fried yucca is fabulous, If I never eat french fries again, I would be happy with it. I did not try the fried plantain this time, but I am sure it's quality.The pupusa was wonderful, stuffed with sausage and cheese - it's kind of like an enchilada only cheesier and thicker. I had several other items, including a tamale of simple masa and chicken - it was moist and spiced nicely. Each item had a distinctive flavor, unlike the plates at a Mexican restaurant where all is flavored similarly. Each item was very flavorful, too, no skimping on spices or cheese. The Salvadoran cream adds flavor and richness. It was rich and hearty food, generous in portions. I could eat about 60% of the plate, where I can eat the entire plate of Mexican food at other places, usually. Though the leftovers won't last through tomorrow. I also want to mention the soups. I saw the Beef soup go by and was hard pressed not to order it instead. Brimming with beef and a savory smelling broth, it's very large. I hope to get it next time! this would be a place to bring the whole family and to bring friends, cause it's different. Wait staff were able to speak knowledgeably about how the food was prepared in El Salvador. The interior is humble but clean, service excellent, super convenient to route 3, 45, and Nasa.

Great little hole in the wall. Enjoyed the cheese Papusas, shrimp cocktail and plantains. Delicious!

I eat at their Galveston location on Broadway. Excellent food and service. I often go a couple of times a week. Best Mexican food on the Island hands down!

Love this place, always have good meal here. I am an Asian but I have tried many Latin foods but most of them are more American - Latin but this one. The fajitas is really good. I also love the appetizers here. The price is reasonable and service is okay. The only drawback is this is a small restaurant and has no mixed drinks.

I always call in my order to go and has never failed to give amazing food. I love the pupusas, really good size and good prices. I’ve only eaten in once and it’s very small but very friendly service. Food is always delicious and fresh!

I got food from this place and the seafood soup was amazing, I really enjoyed that soup. In a different day I tried the beef soup, taste was good as well, but I'll say it had a little too much fat and I couldn't eat it. But again, the taste of the food was really good.

This place is amazing, especially their pupusas! Everything in their menu looks like authentic Mexican and Salvadorian meals - they also offer Honduran tacos. As a rule of thumb, fresh and crisp chips for their complimentary chips and salsa is always a good sign of the food to come, and the ones here are second to none. The atmosphere and service is also great!

The food here was A1. This pic doesn’t really do it justice. I placed a to-go order for the mixto plato, 2 pupusas (I got one chicharron and one w frijoles), a corn tamale, and platanos fritos. Everything was fresh and delicious 🤤 pupusas on point 👌🏼, platanos fritos cooked just right, not too soggy or too crispy. This was my first time trying a corn tamale and I was surprisingly pleased at the taste. It reminded me of American cornbread😋 I come from a predominantly Hispanic area growing up and moving to the league city area it has been difficult to find authentic Salvadoran and Mexican food. I’ve been making the 25 minute drive to get authentic food to my liking, but I was definitely impressed w the food and convenience of this restaurant. I now have found a new pupusa spot 😋

Must try. The fresh squeezed lemonade is a treat. The pork and cheese popusas paired with fried plantains and sour cream. Perfect combination.

I have finally found my favorite local restaurant! We have moved to the area 1.5 years ago and this is by far the best mex-sal spot (we have tried many mex or Tex mex restaurants)! I gave it another try last night and ordered the Popusas of course but I also had the Carne Guisada. That was Delicious! The gravy was just the right texture and the meat was very tender. Plate was full of flavor. The corn tortillas were freshly made and yummy. Like every restaurant, everything on the menu is not always going to taste Fantastic but some items will and will keep you coming back. So, this is that place I will keep coming back to. Our server was very cheerful and attentive as well. Enjoyed a nice dinner with great food and great customer service!

It's a small little spot. Great customer service. A hole in the wall that serves great food. Give it a try.

Service is great but the food needs more love. I ordered the mariscada soup and for $17 they needed to add more spice and more seafood. A crab imitation on a high price soup is unacceptable. The calamari in the soup were extra tiny and very rubbery. Pupusas were average tasting and will hit the spot if needed. I didn't care for the curtido. There hand made tortillas are salvadorean and not Mexican. Actually one of the best salvadorean tortillas I've tasted. They are more gorditas style but a bit thinner. I wouldn't mind going back to try other items. However, I won't go out of my way to go there.

I would’ve given them a 3 star BUT had to GIVE THEM A 1 STAR. MAIN REASON was that one of the orders, there was a long black hair that wasn’t ours. Didn’t see it til I moved some of the salsas. Hardly got to eat any of it, this was the chicken poblana plate. When I got my ticket it seems like it was someone else order. Had to go up and get it adjusted. Not sure if the waiter was new but he was trying his best. For serving a whole restaurant on his own mostly isn’t right. The stress is real under that pressure of satisfying everyone. But seeing the management giving him a hard time isn’t good just because I had him remove the agua fresca i never got. Overall unfortunately I won’t be going there as this was my very first time my family and I went there. Again this was our experience and hopefully in the future cooks start wearing hairnets and more servers would be idle.

Used to go there very often, food is decent. But, I hate when I get home, open the bag and my order is wrong. I don’t have the time to review businesses online, but I had to since y’all messed up my order twice. Last time for me, that’s for sure.

Don't eat here this place is disgusting. I had being here before food was ok but last night was the last time I ever eat at this nasty place. First my talmale had a hair second the curtido smal horrible n tasted like dirty sink water.. To the point my family got food poison 4 adult n 3 kids. DON'T EAT HERE!!!.

This was the 1st time my wife and I visited this place. Unfortunately this was a very unpleasant experience. The drinks and food were flavorless. the service was mediocre at best and our food came out dirty like if they had not clean the grill in a while. Needless to say we will not be coming back to this place .
