Most chain restaurants are usually a disappointment. The food is too processed, the flavors are off, and the prices could be better. Usually we go to these places because of the name hype or just nostalgia. However there are exceptions, like CPK!!! As a 100% Mexican I was surprised at the perfect guacamole that I was served. Who knew shaved jalapeños and corn would add so much to it. And you can actually get it for free if you sign up with their app. What you waiting for!!! The pizza was good and tasty. Enough left over for seconds at home. The elephant in the room was the Kung Pao Spaghetti. I mean its more like Kung Pao with noodles not spaghetti, so maybe we should call them that because calling them spaghetti felt like cultural appropriation even to me that was eating it. It was amazing!!! It was delicious!!! It was not enough. The serving was like a pasta serving but for the $23 dollar.... i felt cheated. Yes, not everyone can make such a perfect Kung Pao but for this price I rather keep checking other Chinese places because for that same amount I could actually get two full combos. But yeah I think I would want it again but the price just doesn't make me feel good. But other than that this place was really good. I will definitely come back!!!
This place has a peaceful atmosphere. Sat at the bar and our bartender was excellent it was our first time so he suggested the chicken tequila fettuccine I liked it only would suggest a little more chicken or veggies. We also tried the chicken avocado egg rolls. Didn’t taste a lot of avocado but they did have a lot of chicken so made up for it. We will be back to try the pizza soon.
Party of 4 on a Friday at 6pm. Pretty busy 25 min. wait time but, we were able to wait at the bar. Bartender Steven was awesome. Made us some awesome drinks until our table was ready. Our server Andrea was super sweet and attentive. We will definitely be back!! Awesome prices. Great pizza. Recommend the Carne Asada pizza and the California club pizza!!
Came here to eat with my wife and son. We sat at the bar and were served by Mike, Steve, and ND if I'm saying his name correctly. They were exceptional and very attentive. They all worked exceptionally well together. Their GM and Manager should be grateful they have employees of this caliber. The food was great and the night was amazing. If you want to be served by the Best sit at the bar.....
I've eaten at CPK multiple times and sadly it is not the place for me however, I can see how others would enjoy it: I ordered a cream of garlic fettuccine hoping it would be creamy, its basically glorified butter noodles. For those who like plain pasta with minimal flavor and sauce this would be a great option. However I enjoy flavor and creamy pastas so I really regret getting this one, personally. Additionally our drinks were practically 2 sips and the rest is ice. We weren't able to get a refill until the end of our meal. The Chipotle Chicken Pizza was really good. The toppings tasted so fresh and the pizza was full of flavor that blended deliciously. The Wild Mushroom Pizza is also nice. They're generous with the mushrooms. The BBQ burnt ends was delicious and rated the best pizza by our group. I included our recipt for full transparency of the pricing and so you can see and decide for yourself if the food is worth your money.
1st time here in many years. We went of a friday night at 8pm and it was not too busy.. When we checked in the host quoted 5 mins but we waited about 25mins. We were seated and waited another 10 for a server. They took our drink orders and delivered them and waited another 15 to place our order. Once we ordered the server brought bread and herb oil. Our order was burnt ends mac and cheese, bbq chicken salad, a kids cheese w/sausage pizza and hot honey chicken/pickle pizza. Took about 15 to be served. It was all share-able. The food was ok. The salad needed less dressing, more lime or pepper...it was off for me. Honestly I remember why I don't typically eat here.
We ordered the Fresh Strawberry Mango Cooler and Cucumber Reviver. I preferred the Strawberry Mango Cooler. The Kids Mac n Cheese was a large portion and tasted good. It's nice because they have Lunch Specials every day of the week, including weekends, from 11 AM to 4 PM. We ordered the Soup+Lunch-size Salad (Tomato Basil Bisque and Thai Crunch Salad). They both tasted good, but I wish there was more dressing on the salad. The Spinach Artichoke Dip was good. My favorite out of all the dishes we ordered was the Garlic Cream Fettucine with sautéed cremini mushrooms. The Chicken Picatta had a tasty lemon cream sauce. The Kung Pao Spaghetti was more spicy than usual this time around. For dessert, we ordered the Butter Cake with vanilla Häagen-Dazs, which is a crowd favorite. Personally, I found it a bit too sweet, but everybody else in my party enjoyed it.
My friend and I stopped by for a quick dinner. We were seated promptly. Our server was so sweet and attentive, and took our order right away. We started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip, the warm bread with olive oil and herbs was wonderful. We shared the Thai crunch pizza, which my friend had never had, and she loved it. To drink I had the Cucumber Reviver which was refreshing and delicious. My only complaint it was absolutely freezing in the restaurant.
Overall, we had a good experience. My wife got the salmon and a shrimp appetizer, while I got a cauliflower crust Hawaiian pizza. They initially brought out my pizza regular instead of cauliflower crust, but they apologized for the mistake and corrected it within 7 or 8 minutes. My pizza was about 20 bucks, which is a little high for a personal pizza, I think, but I like that I could get a second pizza to take and bake at home for another $10. My wife loved both the shrimp app and salmon main course!!!! We also had the chocolate souffle for dessert. It was rich and yummy, but not overly sweet. There is a decent selection of beers on tap, but not the best selection of IPAs. We will definitely be back. We got the shrimp scampi zucchini to go for a friend, and she was very pleased with it as well.
Good food but expect long wait for food and drinks during peak lunch and dinner times which is expected. Center Booths a bit cramped. Been there plenty of times and over all a pleasant experience.
CPK is a great, reliable restaurant. Went in the other night however, and the service provided by the host was extremely rude and uncalled for. The hostess, Ava, was completely standoffish, and was very rude when helping us just try to put our name down. She was inattentive and my experience with her made me want to leave the restaurant completely, however, Sergio the bartender was very great and friendly. He made us feel comfortable and his service was great. Thank you Sergio for turning our experience around.
I just recently tried eating at this place again. My daughter and i arrived a little after 5:30pm and there were 6 tables open. Some were in different sections, so it wasn't an issue of someone not being there to work one section of the restaurant. Any way, it took the girls in the front over 20 minutes to seat us. They stood there, talking to each other, while holding two menus. The hostess kept picking the menus up, talking, and then putting them back down again. The same tables were still open when we did get seated. I normally wouldn't care, but we had to get to a movie by 7pm. The food is very overpriced and we had to remind our waitress about the complimentary bread. She told us that the kitchen was taking forever, but I saw other waitstaff taking bread out to other tables several minutes before I asked about the bread. It had been over 30 minutes after she said she was bringing some. My pizza was good and my daughter enjoyed hers. I hadn't been there in almost 20 years and my recent visit reminded me why. It was over $100 just for the two of us.
My boyfriend and I wanted to try getting something new from the plaza. We ordered 2 pizzas and our server was very lovely but not attentive at all. She took 10 minutes to bring is the check when she was only waiting on two tables. The pizzas here are literally a pool of grease. It tasted good after patting off all the oil quite literally dripping from the pizza and which wasn't cut properly. The sourdough bread tasted good but it was rock hard sadly. We paid 50 dollars, not including our tip. You're better off going to Blaze for way cheaper and better quality in my opinion.
I ordered the steak salad ($23) Only a few spare pieces of beef cubes on there. They were overcooked, cold, dry, bland. It looks like they cook it then let it sit out without oil coating or covering it to prevent it from drying out. Very disappointed! The pizza is also just okay. Bread is dry. Only some shaved thin slices of meat. It is overpriced for the taste and value. Most of the food tasted like microwaved food. So disappointed!
