I had the pleasure of visiting Aurora Brewing Company near Rochester, NY, and it was an experience worth sharing. Tucked away in **Pittsford**, this brewery offers a welcoming atmosphere and a solid lineup of craft beers that cater to a variety of tastes. Walking in, I immediately felt the cozy yet lively energy of the place. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations. I started with their Reindeer Breath coffee stout, a deep, rich brew with bold coffee notes—perfect for a chilly afternoon. Then, I tried Orange Cookies, which had a smooth citrus profile that was surprisingly refreshing. The space itself is inviting, with both indoor seating and an outdoor area that’s great for unwinding. On certain nights, they host pub trivia, adding a fun social element to the experience. While everything was fantastic, I’d advise dressing warmly if visiting during cooler months, as the indoor space can feel a bit brisk. Also, dogs aren’t allowed inside, so keep that in mind if you're planning to bring a furry friend. Overall, Aurora Brewing Company is a great spot for craft beer lovers. I’ll definitely be back for another round! 🍻
Top notch micro brewery. Maybe too many IPAs when I visited but a few good ones. Impossible to beat setting. Friendly service.
Great Brewery location facing The Erie Canal 🍺 Super friendly bartender. “Little Fresh IPA” was perfect after riding our tandem bike from Newark 25 miles away🚲🚲 Hope to go back someday again!

Aurora is simply making some of the best beer in the finger lakes, maybe even all of New York. Try everything, they make every style exceptionally well.
We have really started enjoying this place. Had stopped by on our boat over the summer and started coming by in the fall for music. Now that it's winter it's just a nice cozy place to stop by (with a fireplace). Like a little ski chalet. Plus the beers are great and a good rotation . Staff is also very friendly so shout out to them.
Easily the best beer in Monroe County, always fresh, always a nice rotation so you can try something new if you frequent. Super friendly staff, knowledgeable about their beer. Well-stocked cooler with probably 10 varieties of 4 packs to go.
Finally, a bar that has more than only one or two options of hazy IPA. Add to that, the seating next to the canal. Makes for a relaxing, peaceful time, with a good cold one. Big time props to Aurora! Love it.
Air conditioning and WiFi if you want to sit inside, picnic tables with string lighting if you want to sit by the canal. The day I visited they also had live music. Highly recommend. Parking is tough, so park down the road at the canal parking and walk.
Have always enjoyed a couple here and what it was before. The staff is always warm and friendly. They let you take your time and sample. More of a hazy ipa place which is up my alley. Some may not however there are other beers from my friends who are more sour or just lager folks enjoyed. Seating upstairs is a nice hidden gem. Seriously though the staff are really nice folks! That’s kinda half the battle with a lot of breweries
Beautiful local brewery with seating on the river. We stopped in to get some beer to go from their cooler. Lots of double ipa’s to choose from. Staff was helpful but not overbearing. They said we could try anything that is on tap before making our final selections. Beers here are high end and delicious. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating just not a ton of parking.
Staying with friends in Pittsford, and visited this pub on a cold winter night, with snow coming down. It was warm and lovely inside, with plenty of people at the bar and tables inside enjoying a few beers. No tasting paddles - locals call it a flight - but they will do a half pour so you can try a few. Seating limited in winter for obvious reasons, but there are tables and chairs along the Erie Canal for the warmer months and it would be a fantastic spot to soak in the atmosphere and catch up with mates in summer.
Very nice, clean, and cozy with a wood burning fireplace. Plenty of tables and the place isn't too loud. I had the pilsner and a sour, both of which were crisp and easy to drink.
Finally, a West-coast IPA (and later a pilsner) in Rochester. No Alarms, No Surprises West-coast IPA is staggeringly good--everything a beer should be. The location is a delightful departure from the cookie-cutter brewery experience. Located on the Erie Canal with ample outdoor and moderate indoor space, the Aurora Brewing Company is one of the best places in town for beer and relaxing.
Visiting the area and friends took us for some after dinner drinks. Good beer, nice vibe, even got a great glass of wine for a reasonable price. We’ll be back next time we are visiting!
This is the best beer in the area. We stayed in Pittsford at the beginning of a two-week bicycle tour of the Finger Lakes. Aurora Brewing Company set the standard for good beer. We went back on our last night and I can confirm; it is the best beer I found in the Finger Lakes region. (Caveat: I am from Connecticut and I am an N.E.I.P.A. snob. I rank this brewery equal to Tree House Brewing.)

The service with Mary was wonderful. She was very informative about the Brewery and it's locations. She represents the brewery very well!

Great location in the Riviera of the Erie Canal of Pittsford. Nice bands like Judah sitting by the canal. Family atmosphere.

The ambience is great, right on the canal and a great variety of indoor and outdoor seating. The prices are a touch high in my opinion, and while it’s great that they also serve wine their wine prices are just too high. $12 and $13 for a white wine BLEND is simply unacceptable. The staff was friendly and the overall experience was good, but that may have been helped by an extraordinarily beautiful November day. We’ll return for the setting and suck up the beer prices. We’ll pass on the wine, again.
This brewery is in a great location and has great vibes and the beer was good! The beer offering while we visited was primarily IPAs, with 6-8 varieties, 1 stout, and 1 sour. I personally prefer when there is more variety to the beer offering which is the only reason I left off a star in my rating. They offer wine for anyone who wants to visit but doesn’t like wine. My wife and her friend both enjoyed their red and white wines. Great service here and the fireplace seating was perfect for an overcast fall day. I recommend a visit here, especially with friends(like we did). Based on our friends experience, they rotate their beers often which is a big plus!

Have been meaning to visit since they’ve opened. Beautiful location and ambience inside the taproom is cozy. Prices were a bit high though in comparison to other breweries/taprooms however. $9 for an IPA and $10 for a sour. I understand an up charge on drafts, going rate is about $7 for a pour at let’s say Copper Leaf in Pittsford. Unfortunately, it became even more expensive the next day. When cashing out I was asked to keep it open or closed. Told the bartender I’d just be getting the two beers but I may get a four pack on the way out. They said ok and gave me my total and then swiped the card and handed it back. Most establishments keep your card until closing out (maybe part of the mistake) Never indicating it was still open. We finished our beers and set the empty glasses on the bar, again no one indicated “hey ya gotta close out”. Saw my card statement and now it’s $24.32. Called and it was explained that if you don’t sign and close out before end of business it’s a 20% gratuity fee. This to my knowledge is not posted anywhere, or at least I did not see it. Communication on the process wasn’t great, and now I’ve paid almost $25 for two beers. I’ll chalk it up to miscommunication on my end and the bartenders for not clearly saying it was still open. Doesn’t leave a great feeling in my stomach though. Aurora has always had solid beers and we’ve supported them. However, I won’t be returning. Rather just go to a local beer shop and pick up a 4 pack for less than the tab.
I really want to love Aurora Brewing in Perinton, especially because the beers they feature on social media always look so appealing. The ambiance of the place is great, with a charming historic feel, and the setting along the canal is simply beautiful. However, I was a bit disappointed with the beer selection during my visit. The only sour available wasn't to my taste, and the overall selection was quite limited. I was hoping to find something seasonal, like a pumpkin ale, but most of the options were IPAs, which aren't my preference. Parking can also be a challenge. That said, the location and atmosphere make it worth a visit, but I hope to see a bit more variety in the future to match the stunning surroundings.

My wife loves the brew here. I am hopping mad 😠 I ordered a glass of wine it was $13.00 and if I got 4 oz I would be surprised. Very turned off on this.
