This place has a great Vibe. There was a guy playing Violin beautifully Tonight. Appetizers were outstanding. We loved it!!there was a waiting period of 40 min so I highly recommend that you make reservations.

Rosetta was awesome. Food was top notch. I got the filet, French onion, truffle fries and shrimp. I don’t think there was one negative thing I could say about this place.

I came here a few years ago and the food was outstanding. Came again this week and it didn't disappoint. I had a the cheese plate, it was a safe choice because I never met a cheese I didn't like, but the selections were good. They were able to accommodate my friend who is vegan with a salad that she said was very good. The wine selection is decent and reasonably priced. Our server was great and overall had a really enjoyable time.

The new york strip and Caesar salad were amazing. The cabernet jus with rosemary sauce for the steak was a wonderful accompaniment . I had a glass of a daou cab which was great. Wonderful experience.

Amazing live entertainment from Beth and Rick on Wednesday nights, it’s a must see jazzy, romantic lounge music! Steak Diane bites, coconut shrimp, calamari - peaceful ambiance and excellent experience. It’s a must! Enjoy

Rochester Bistro is a fantastic place with delicious food, great ambiance and friendly service. The menu offers a variety of tasty dishes made with fresh ingredients, and the presentation is excellent. Whether for lunch or dinner, it is always a pleasant experience. I recommend it to everyone

First time here and it was delightful. Salmon was moist and flavorful. Trout was excellent! Salads were fresh. Amaretto dessert was superb!! Will definitely be back. Our server Rozeta was wonderful !

We had dinner there last night. Everything was perfect and my filet was cooked exactly how I asked it to be. The chicken and shrimp appetizers were delicious. Kaycee our waitress was wonderful! Thank you again.

Wife and I came here for our anniversary. I'd like to go back, because it's hard to give an honest review about service or atmosphere, because when we went it was a Sunday afternoon around 4pm, and nobody was in the place. That said, our bartender was attentive and she took good care of us without being in our face. We ordered 4 appetizers and they were all excellent. Drinks were good as well. It's not cheap here, mind you, but I think you're going to get quality when you come here. Would love to come back and a more regular time for dinner.

Wonderful food and service - we loved the mushroom gnocchi for an app. Our waitress Kaycee was amazing and made our dinner even better with her great positive energy!

Had a very enjoyable Saturday afternoon dinner, made even more so by a staff that shows genuine pride and joy in their work. Wait staff, bussers, water refillers... Everyone was friendly and going above and beyond. Kaycee welcomed us at the door and also served us throughout the dinner. She was very exhuburant and helpful with menu options; although, she did forget to mention the specials of the day, some of which sounded tempting when we heard another waitress offer them to a nearby table. Nonetheless, her suggestions and our eventual choices were excellent. My sirloin tips were a tad beyond my preferred medium rare, but their flavor and accompanying sauce more than made up for it. The numerous strips of asparagus were done to perfection, and the house-made potatoes put the exclamation point on a wonderful "meat and potatoes" kind of meal. My wife's salmon was equally well prepared, and she said her clam chowder starter was better than the "world famous" one ordered last week in a highly regarded Seattle establishment. Portions were generous, too, with enough for both of us to take the next day's lunch home. Lastly, the creme brule dessert was outstanding - possibly the best we've ever shared (and we're creme brule snobs). Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

We had a Family party here (upstairs). The food was EXCELLENT! The service was EXCEPTIONAL! Our server Daniel was attentive, well informed and super polite & Professional. The owner was also quite friendly and cordial. Great evening spot, great ambiance. Make sure to get there.

I rarely give 5 start reviews but this restaurant deserves it. The is excellent, albeit a bit overpriced, the service from most of the servers is also excellent and the atmosphere warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant for an enjoyable evening out.

I absolutely enjoy the food and the atmosphere here at Rochester Bistro — but what makes it EXTRA special when Kaycee is in the house 🔥 she makes the whole dine in experience completely different and enjoyable. Went here and my waitress Kaycee was the best. She was soooo energetic and fast with our food and drinks. Brought so much positive energy and just great to talk to. She is such a gem.

This is one of my favorite places in downtown Rochester. The customer service from the owner, bartenders and servers is unmatched. On of my all time favorite servers, Kaycee, always greats me with the best energy whenever I visit. When I came in with my family and out-of-town guests, Kaycee gave us an excellent experience. Best personality ever!

We absolutely love this place! We come here all the time and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about creating a great experience every visit.

Went to Rochester Bistro for dinner and the food was absolutely amazing! Our server Kaycee went above and beyond she even treated us to complimentary appetizers and dessert for leaving a review. Such a steal and such great service! Can’t wait to come back and see Kaycee again!

Our server Esther was incredibly polite and was willing to help with any and all dietary restrictions. The Shrimp Scampi and our other dish that we can't remember were incredible and very well sized. The fries were a good size to share between 2. Overall a wonderful restaurant, would come back again.

I don’t typically share reviews, unless I’m compelled to do so. My visit at Rochester Bistro resulted in delectable food and a warm atmosphere to enjoy it in. However, my service, was incomparable. My waitress, Kaycee, was attentive, experienced, and helped answer my questions. You can certainly tell she genuinely cares about her customers, by the way she leads and interacts with guests. Kaycee is the prime example of what true ‘service excellence’ should look like at any establishment. I highly recommend you take time to experience not only the food, but the staff who will make your time memorable.

I just moved to this city recently and had heard about some places to try downtown. Once night while walking around indecisive, I walked into Rochester Bistro. I was looking around to get a feel for what it was like. All of a sudden around the corner came this girl, blonde hair asking me if I was looking for someone or dining in. I explained to her I was new in town. She gave me the rundown of the place, the food and not only that, but introducing me to the area! She made me feel welcome! I grabbed a carry out menu and ended up coming up with my friends that weekend to see her! May I say exceptional service! She is top notch and makes good conversation and is very polite! I’d went back a few times and didn’t see her and asked if she was around. I hope she gets to wait on us again! Thank you Kaycee

Absolutely was a perfect dinner with my daughter I enjoyed it specially with the waitress. Her service was amazing. We enjoyed everything she was taking care of us and the other customer.and I really enjoyed the way Kaycee provide her service specially, the way she served the bottle of wine you feel like she was specialist in this I will definitely recommend this restaurant in the server for my friends and family👍🏼

Love this place! Honestly this is Rochester's best kept secret. Amazing food, great atmosphere, clean, good music. Best burger in town! Steaks and pastas are wonderful too.

Tonight was our first night at the restaurant the staff was amazing so attentive, Rozeta was and amazing server !! Great opinion on the food and dishes nothing let us down ! For entrees, we had the swordfish, which was amazing, the lamb chops were cooked to a perfect medium rare, the roasted prime rib stellar and cooked to the absolute best temperature ! Both appetizers, the calamari and the mussels el diablo were great! Highly recommend ! And we for sure will be back!!

All of our food was terrific. The holiday ambiance was very nice. The service was unmatched. They have servers who walk around constantly looking to remove plates, fill drinks, etc. It's worth the price, every time.

My best friend and I had a lovely late lunch here. The cocktails were very good and my steak was fairly decent as well. I had a very enjoyable time! Our server was lively and polite. My best friend really enjoyed her pasta. My only criticism is the steak. It was by no means bad but it could have been a tad better. I believe it was a bit over cooked in some sections and the cut could have been a tad better. Having said that, the average person would most likely not notice a difference especially if they are cutting across the grain. One thing I appreciated was the ambiance. The pictures really don’t do it justice. The restaurant is far more fabulous in person. I would definitely come back.

Nice place for a dinner. The drinks were pretty good but I little weak in my opinion but the food was good. We got steak tips as an appetizer which were cooked well and tender and French onion soup which was great. One of the better French onions. The two pastas were good also the fiery pasta does have a kick. Would go back.

I brought a few guests here for dinner tonight. This was a good experience! I had the bartender improvise a mocktail for me, which was very sweet, I believe it had raspberry purée. We ordered the charcuterie board which was good. Great mix of cheeses and meats! I always suggest some crackers and jam and maybe a few grapes on a charcuterie board as well though. The entrées were okay. We got two rigatoni’s, a pappardelle and a cacio e pepe. The rigatoni honestly was not amazing, the lamb and noodles weren’t the best mix. The flavor was good, maybe it’s just a texture thing. I didn’t get many details, but my guest who ordered the pappardelle said he didn’t like it and my guest who ordered the cacio e pepe said it was good! We got the chocolate peanut butter cake à la mode for dessert, which was amazing! Very rich and very flavorful. The service was great! Julia was very personable, very attentive and very sweet. The atmosphere is nice. It’s nothing crazy, but it’s a good elegant atmosphere. I would come back. It wasn’t my first time, and it will more than likely won’t be my last! I will probably be trying a different entrée next time but aside from that, everything else was very enjoyable!

The steak salad is a bargain. It’s a slushy salad with steak cut off for $21. Or you can buy a steaks for $40 and get a salad, à la carte. We also ordered Polish potato dumplings appetizer coconut w shrimp. But the winner of the night with the onion soup. I haven’t had better since Paris.

We enjoyed dinner here this evening, using a Groupon. We were the first ones here on a Saturday night at 6:30, which was surprising, considering most of the other restaurants in downtown were hopping. My husband had the perch which were heavily coated, as advertised, but tasted good. I had the chicken marsala with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Both were generously portioned & piping hot. We have another Groupon so we will return, but we have other favorite spots in downtown.

The service is great! Loved everyone who helped us out when we visited, they were very friendly and professional! The appetizers were great, I had the mezcal cocktail and it exceeded my expectations! The food was okay, nothing impressing. The quality of the meat was great but the preparation was not that great. Overall I recommend this place!

Food is consistently good, have a nice selection of wine and cocktails. The beef tips were too salty, that dish doesn’t seem to be on par with the quality of many of the other dishes we have tried. Best fish I have had in the area several times now. I wish the pasta wasn’t pre cooked, that has been a bit overdone a couple times. One of the few restaurants we return too repeatedly in the area. Never know when you need reservations, so we make them always.

Atmosphere was ok but the table for 2 is way too small plus the brown paper cover on the tables made it look cheap/lazy. Service was adequate nothing spectacular but good. Now the food was very disappointing and lacked any flavor. Steak tips tasted like mushroom puree. Burger was good but was on the warm/cold side. Most disappointing was definitely the meat and cheese charcuterie that looked like something purchased straight out of Costco and then threw a quarter of it on a board.

If you’re considering hosting an event here, do yourself a favor and don’t. My experience was incredibly disorganized and disappointing. I booked the upstairs room for my daughter’s baptism, which was supposed to comfortably fit 30 people. However, a week and a half before the event, no one contacted me to finalize the menu. When I called, I was informed that the upstairs room would be unavailable due to a broken AC, and that my event would need to be held downstairs instead. The downstairs area was significantly smaller and not suitable for the event. On the day of the event, the temperature was around 85 degrees inside, causing all my $800 worth of desserts to melt and become inedible. Not to mention all my guest were extremely uncomfortable and sweating the entire time! The cake was so warm it fell apart, and the appetizers took 45 minutes to an hour to arrive, with the calamari being undercooked. Additionally, three guests didn’t receive their meals until everyone else was finished, and there were issues with food hygiene, including hair in the food and drinks. The manager, Danny, was unhelpful and offered only a minimal discount of $250 off a $2000 bill after much insistence. He initially offered a $100 GC or $100 off my bill…Overall, the service and experience were extremely poor, and I would never recommend this place to anyone.
