Our second time here, this time for lunch. This time we brought our son who is an RIT student and he loved it as well. Just as fantastic and can't wait to come again to try something different. Get the Mac and cheese, you won't be disappointed.

Monday Night Trivia! Food was excellent: chicken wrap, wings, quesadilla. The wait staff was wonderful... Checking on our party an appropriate amount of times.

Found a great new place for a fish fry served by a friendly waitress. Food was delicious!! Will stop back to try out their other dishes which look great. Doesn't break the bank either.

First time there and everything was delicious. The burger. The wings. We left excited to come back and try more burgers, as they have burger specials each week, too. Atmosphere was relaxing. Bar with TVs. Well lit restaurant. I believe there were some games on the other side but we didn't sit over there or play. Plenty of parking.

My girlfriend told me about this place, she promised that the soup flights were too notch and she was not lying. We tried a majority not the soups including Italian wedding, lasagna soup, sausage tortellini and french onion soup. They were all delivered to us hot and delicious. We happened to be on a Norwegian cruise and mentioned to a traveller we were going to tap it for soup flights and have it be known they were also patrons of this fine establishment. My only suggestion would be to make sure to add a grilled cheese to your selection as it made mine the best experience ever. Such a great idea and so delicious. I can't wait to come one a Sunday for their famous bloody Marys. I forgot to mention the delicious wings I ordered. I'll let you try them on your own. They were totally worth it 😉

We have gone here many times on Sunday mornings for breakfast with friends and Bloody Mary's & Mimosas. Everything has been delicious and their speciality Bloody Mary's are our favorite in the area! Super friendly servers and a fun atmosphere.

The food here is incredible!!!! Haven’t had a bad meal yet! It’s a nice place to go with friends and have a nice cold drink and a great meal! We will continue to go and continue to recommend it to all my friends!

The wings 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯. Crazy how good the Sweet heat wings are, and on Tuesday, it's $1 a wings. Bloody Mary's are wild as hell, and the drinks are very reasonable. Go here if you are an hour away its still worth the trip

Rolled into town on Sunday. At 8pm. 3 hour drive and no place was open that served a steak. Google landed me here tonight and I could not be any happier it did! What an amazing little spot. Friendly staff, amazing food and good tunes playing. The ribeye was perfectly cooked 😋

Fast, friendly service and good food. The poutine was great. My burger required a whole lot of napkins, which was a good thing. Tasty. The fries were a little dry, but not bad. The burger made up for it. A variety of seating choices-bar, high tops, regular tables and no shortage of TVs.

I very rarely write reviews, but I felt that I owed it to this restaurant . This place was recommended to me by a patron that lives in the area. I stopped in to pick up my take out order for my 90 year old mother and myself. She rarely goes out and for the most part doesn't like eating food from restaurants. I was very happy to hear that she really enjoyed her meal and so did I. Lastly, I want to add that the atmosphere was welcoming and the bathroom was very clean.

Super friendly as soon as we walked in. We sat at the bar, prompt service and ordered an extreme bloody Mary on a Sunday. The bloody Mary itself was a perfect combination, then to add everything on top was phenomenal. This is a must try.

Great food!!! My husband had the aftermath burger and I had the cheeseburger salad. Both burgers were cooked to perfection and the veggies on the salad were super crisp and fresh! The pickles were the perfect touch to the salad, glad I got extra!! Drinks were great and the waitress was always ready with a refill. It was kinda loud so we couldn't really have a conversation, we should have sat in the back by the dart boards. Otherwise it was an amazing experience and we will definitely be going back!

We love The Tap It! The atmosphere is fun, the ownership and staff are wonderful, the beer is cold and the food is amazing. Many different items on the menu to please all. And in my opinion, they have the best beer cheese in the world!!!

Great Food, Good Taps, Good Service. This is the kind of place locals will frequent for sure, sports and lots of taps, and electronic and printed beer menu. Personally I wish the taps had included some German Pilsner/Lager option, but - 75% if the taps are local and NY brews, heavy focus on IPA's. Everything is craft beer except for a couple of the standard domestic ones.

The food is amazing here - never had a bad meal. Whether looking for a quick lunch or to enjoy one of their specials, Tap It is always a good option! Staff is always friendly and they just renovated the back room!

Anytime we go to a new place for food I always have to try a Reuben if they have one. The Tap it Bar and Grill is now my #1 place for a Reuben. The corned beef was tender and easily bitten through (if you know you know) and there was the perfect amount as well as the sauerkraut, swiss and dressing in the right proportions. Their fries are delicious and their loaded fries are excellent too. Highly recommended. As you will see from the picture, I was already halfway through when I thought to snap a pic. My son was floored by the Aftermath Burger.

Great vibe for friends, partners, and family. They have a classic sports bar feel and a solid menu. Their fries were good and they had a good selection of beers on tap. They sometimes have guest bartenders with all tips going to a charity. They have plenty of seating for smaller and larger groups of people. It got crowded on a Saturday afternoon but there was still space away from the bar to sit. The staff is very friendly and they are attentive, too. Parking is decent but it filled up fast.

I have been here a few times since I moved from the area for years ago. Whenever I come home to visit my friends this bar is near their neighborhood and so we come for the fish fry and the great service!

There is a variety of food from appetizers to full course entrees. We had the appetizer platter, then for the meal, one had a salad, some had wings, some had the pot roast and some had pasta. All good sized servings and quality. We also got to watch the Olympic highlights on their tvs.

Amazing hole-nin-the wall find in ROC. One of the best burgers in town with the brisket Jam burger, melts in your mouth and cooked perfectly. Service is always fast and accurate. Steak dinner is also cooked to perfection with appropriate basting, char, and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Definitely worth a try for the locals looking to have a no-thrills, low-maintenance killer meal.

I love this place! Good food, great staff, and just a feel of being somewhere to relax with a good special. They're doing new renovations to make the place more modern. Often have my friends meet me here, their meat sauce is amazing along with the hot dog special on Saturdays. Check the menu regularly, as it seems to rotate between seasons. I love when they have ribs, and the chimichurri fries are my new favorites!!

This is a small seat yourself spot. But it's amazing. The wings are great. There is this soup called chicken artichoke French, to die for supper amazing. Their hod dog special day is awesome. I don’t know what magic they’re adding to their food but everything I’ve had has been amazing so far. All their soups are top notch, I prefer their plates over the other guys so much so that I dream about them. The bartenders and servers are incredibly sweet and you feel so comfortable being there. The Tap It is one of my favorite places to go. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly. The food is amazing and each day of the week they have great specials and often times trivia or other fun themed events. Sunday brunch is a fave of mine. The extreme Bloody Mary’s are amazing, especially surf and turf the first Sunday of each month. You can get any drink you want with all of the topping which makes it a great option for everyone. Everyone should try it at least once! I’ve consistently had great food and service and love meeting friends here when heading out! I always recommend the Tap It to friends and family and will continue to frequent this establishment!

Great food -- the wings are some of the very best in the area! I've ordered for pick-up semi-regularly over the past couple of years and have mostly had good experiences. There were one or two times where I felt a little uncomfortable with the customer service, but the owner took the time out of his day to address my concerns and take my feedback with humility. Taking feedback and working to improve says a lot more about the quality of a business than just a couple of small mishaps. I really appreciated it! It seems as though my past concerns have been sorted out and I wouldn't hesitate to keep coming back here for some quality food and service! I recommend the medium buffalo wings with a side of the XXX-hot sauce for a little extra kick.

Tried this place because it popped up on Reddit and the reviews looked decent. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere was very laid back. You could tell they had a lot of loyal local customers which is always a good sign. I got the Aftermath Burger and it was great. The meat gravy was great and brought a traditional Rochester vibe to the burger. The fries were amazing. Seasoned perfectly. My only complaint was that there weren't more of them to stuff my face with. If you're looking for a good burger a cold beer and a chill local vibe, check this place out.

Update…I wanted to come back and update my review as the owner so kindly reached out to me when they saw my review and wanted to make it right. She went above and beyond to make it right and correct the issues to avoid them in the future. She definitely made me change my mind and I will give them another chance in the future. I want to love them but every time I have ordered anything from here for takeout I am waiting for at least an extra 30 minutes to actually get our food from the time they tell us it will actually be ready. and the employees are not apologetic whatsoever and act as if I am bothering them. And while waiting after telling her my food was suppose to be ready 30 minutes ago a grubhub delivery driver showed up and she looked at me to tell me that she had to get his order ready first. then she had the audacity to tell me if i was going to wait for my food or just leave. Clearly they lack customer service and basic manners.

Go on Sunday before 1 so you can get a loaded Bloody Mary!! Different kinds every week, the crab was my favorite so far, just wish there was more indoor table seating and parking!

1st timers. Stopped in 10 minutes after it opened for lunch on a Friday. Good thing because the place was packed in about an hour. Seemed liked a lot of regulars. Always a good sign. I had the fish fry. Good piece of fish, good size, nice lite batter. The tartar sauce was fresh. The coleslaw was light,not over mayonnaised. Nice and clean and refreshing. My wife had the blackened chicken Mac and cheese quesadillas. Yes Mac and cheese. Very tasty. Also came with bacon and jalapenos inside. Great mix of flavors. Plenty of them in the serving. We both had their regular bloody Marys. A solid drink and good heat. The menu is full of many unique dishes. More choices than your usual bar foods. Also a huge selection of beers, many local brewery choices. We will return. So many tasty looking choices on the menu. Also they had plenty of TVs to watch the games. Dart boards in the back of the bar/restaurant. Plenty of off street parking.

Loud, buzzy and alive! Came here for the fish fry and it was phenomenal! Crunchy crust, perfectly cooked flaky fish, crispy fries, tartare and slaw! We also sampled some of the seasonal autumn local beers (pumpkin-vanilla included) which were light and refreshing! If it’s fish fry you want, this is the place to be at.

Classic dive bar-type vibes with a good selection of food and beers. The service is good and pretty quick. I had the pot roast poutine which I thoroughly enjoyed. My only issue is parking which can sometimes be difficult but it is plentiful.

The wings I ordered were on the rubbery side. Took a while for staff to notice I was waiting for my order…but herein lies the problems with bars doing take out. Their primary focus has to be on customers at the bar. That said, patrons looked like they were having a good time, and the establishment was pretty full. I feel like I paid more than what the food was worth- but again, not necessarily the establishment’s fault as eating out is at an all time high cost.

Yall look at the mozzarella wedes 🤣🤣🤣. The burger and fries were good, nothing spectacular but overall just good. The mozzarella wedges is what took 2 stars away because ain't no way yall really charging folks 12$ for mozzarella NUGGETS(5 of them at that)

I ordered takeout online. I only ordered ten chicken wings, not really complicated or time consuming. I ordered at 1:40 with a 2:20 pickup time which is already a little long for just wings. I was starving! At 2:20 the server said they weren't ready yet and it would be a couple of minutes; unfortunately that couple minutes ended up turning into 20 extra minutes... So it was an hour wait for ten chicken wings, I'm sure no one who ordered in the restaurant waited an hour for their food but either way, it was a bit ridiculous. It was a Saturday afternoon and didn't really seem overly crowded or busy so I'm a bit annoyed at having to wait that long for my food. The wings were okay but I don't think I will order pickup from here again.

Went for brunch on a Sunday. The ticket time on our food was well over an hour. The server barely came to check on us, dropped our drinks and took our order then didn’t come back until our food came. Once the food finally did come out, the pancakes were hard, they were obviously not fresh cooked but reheated. The egg served on our sandwich was a frozen egg patty heated up, the chicken was a chicken finger, and the croissant was all smooshed and greasy. We sent back an entire plate of food because it wasn’t appealing to eat. Took like two bites of the pancakes, also inedible. Nothing was taken off our bill. Real gross, super bummed.

Food is really good but service was bad. First server walked away before I could even complete my order, I went up to the bar to finish ordering which was a burger that added my existing appetizer. I told the first server the food was to-go but they brought out each item separately and for dine in. They also brought me the wrong burger I ordered one that had has browns and an egg on it and this one came with brisket. Didn’t even want to correct them because I didn’t want to wait any longer. My experience could’ve been one off but definitely worth never going here again.

Never been here before, thought that the food looked delicious and decided to treat the lady and daughter out to eat for dinner (around 7:30pm) only to be greeted by a rude "security" demanding IDs. Okay cool. We're not here for drinks, we're here for dinner, heres our ID. As he rudely looks at his watch and then says we have an hour to eat? Yeah we're definitely not coming back. Very bad first impression.

This was my first time eating at this place. I got a Tap it plate and it looked Great however the fries were ROCK HARD. The salad n burger was OK but I will not be ordering this again!

I tried it again-why??? $11 for 10 friend pickle chips. That's more than $1 each! That's ridiculous!!!!!! $15 burger is also blah! So disappointed yet again. I am amazed at how small the portions are. The French onion soup container was barely an inch high. For $7 I thought I'd be getting more soup. The pepperoni pizza balls were ok. I was excited about them but I don't think I would order them again. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was awesome although it said it came with ranch and mine did not.

One day I had a pick up for a friend and it was busy so I remained patient til the manager, a darkskinned woman with locs spotted my arrival. Well because she didn't help assist me, while inside waiting, I decided to call the store not realizing she was going to answer. She picks up and go you didn't have to call, I seen you standing there. She was very rude and mean to me. I am so proud of myself. I didn't give her attitude or say anything rude with the treatment she gave but she sure didn't make me feel welcomed but I didn't let her upset me either. People project a lot and I didn't make her bad energy affect me one bit. I quietly removed myself.

We just got kicked out of this place when the owner decided their private party was more important than our business. Staff seated us and never said anything about upcoming event. SO very rude, we'll never go back.

Went to this establishment today to have a few drinks and to watch the Syracuse Football game. There were four of us. Got there at noon. Nothing was mentioned to us that there was a private party coming in. Our waitress knew us from about two weeks ago when we came in for some food before an RIT hockey game. We are finishing up our appetizers and our cocktails, when a woman got between myself and my wife, and said, don’t you know this is a private party? Do you have any respect for the owners mother that passed away? There was so much respect sitting at that table, that woman had no idea who she was speaking too. We had no idea that this wake was happening. We were not disrespecting anything, then when my wife asked her to get her finger out of her space and back away, she accused us again for not having any respect….and that we “were real nice”. All because we were sitting a table the private party must have needed. I’m very sorry for the owner of this bar for his loss. However, it may have been a good idea to close your bar for a couple of hours so that your close family and friends could morn in private. We unfortunately will never come back for lunch.dinner or brunch. Your sister in law, was Very rude to us, and maybe before she speaks the next time to your patrons, she gets the whole story. And perhaps she shouldn’t judge people who are just watching a football game and having lunch, as a bunch of rude people crashing a wake and taking up space. I feel really terrible for your loss, may your mother rest in peace. Lost for great customers today.

Ordered twenty XXXHot wings and a stuffed pretzel... received what looks like someone else's food, a chicken breast with rice. Second time l've tried ordering from this place, both times issues. Won't be trying again. Called to inform them of the error and give them the opportunity to correct it but they're unable to deliver the correct items so l'm left reporting it to Grubhub for a refund...
