This is my go to spot. I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that some of the bartenders know me by name. Great little hole in the wall. Drinks aren't expensive. They do have McCallen and higher end booze if you want it.

This is a fantastic place to meet new friends and enjoy great food. The staff is friendly courteous and helpful. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. Tuesday night Karaoke is the best and I really hope that the manager hires DJ Peter D of Traveling Tunes DJ Service because he's really good at what he does!!!!!

Another in a long line of Monroe Ave. Bars. Decent selection of draught beer and liquors. They serve a small menu of food which I have not tried. Nice inside but they're always showing soccer.

Got nachos and a quesadilla. Took 50 minutes to get food - center of the nachos were a block of ice. They cook for JD Oxfords next door, so we figure the food went to the wrong place and sat for a while. We informed the bartender. He was very rude about it - acted very inconvenienced. Girls were running in and out of the kitchen with white claws. One cook was very nice and apologetic. After we had complained about the cold nachos, the bartender couldn't be bothered with us. Real treat he was. No thanks - I'll go down to Charlie's when they open again!
