The food is amazing. Very friendly staff even though it took awhile for my food to arrive. But short staffed like every where else during the pandemic. The soups are so good. Ate here for lunch and dinner. Pad Ka POW was my favorite.
We moved to Fate three years ago and have avoided eating here. It’s in a strip center by Hobby Lobby and I have to admit I judged it based upon that. Well, the joke is on me, because we ate there tonight and it is absolutely the best Thai anywhere near Rockwall. Have I had better? Sure, but not anywhere near here. Is it really tasty? Yes. Will I go back? Absolutely. My favorite Thai place is 45 min away. But Koung Thai is 7 minutes away…and the food is quite yummy and worth the shorter drive. The lady (owner?) who was there was so sweet, very kind, personable. This will be our new go to Thai place. Glad we took the chance. They should be proud.
Service was very good and our server was so sweet. We had the chicken pho and the red curry and well as the summer rolls. They are so delicious!
This is the best Thai food. Extensive menu and dishes besides pad Thai are excellent. The staff is attentive and always checking to make sure everything is good. Great for take out too
This is a staple of our family dinners. We’ve been coming for years and it gets better each time! The atmosphere is warm, and family oriented. The food is always hot, and the staff is always friendly. We’ll continue to come as long as it’s here!
This place is a LONG time favorite! The staff are pleasant and kind. The food is consistently amazing! Taste authentic. Pad Thai, curries, noodle dishes are amazing. My favorite is Tom Kha w shrimp.
Stopped by on our drive to Austin and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. The chicken pho was delicious and no gamy taste at all. There was just one young gentleman handling both serving and hosting, and he was extremely kind, attentive, and welcoming. Even the bathroom was spotless and smelled amazing. We’ll definitely keep this place on our list for future trips.
I ordered their jasmine hot tea, fried pork dumplings, and yellow curry. Their yellow curry is spicy here, if you like spice definitely try it. Plenty of food when you order, 6 fried dumplings come with their fried pork dumplings appetizer, and a huge dish of yellow curry and vegetables with probably a 1.25 cups of white steamed rice come with the curry. You will leave full for sure. The pork fried dumplings did seem handmade, they are not your typical gyoza that you buy at the store, and the inside filling seemed like a handmade pork and vegetable filling. I also noticed what looked like fresh vegetables in the yellow curry, you can tell when it's frozen or fresh, and it looked like real sliced onion and red and green peppers. What I especially loved was the tea came with a tea kettle, you don't always get the whole tea kettle with the hot tea when you order it in every restaurant. When I left she did offer to put it in an insulated cup for me to take with me which I really appreciated as the jasmine tea was quite good and fragrant. All in all a very peaceful meal. The atmosphere is carpet with wood tables and padded chairs. I would say it is casual, you wouldn't have to dress up, and the music was an instrumental slow jazz music.
We tried this place for dinner one evening and we were greeting as soon as we entered. Our server took our drink order, returned with our drinks and we order Laab Chicken Salad to start. My partner order the Panang Curry and I ordered the Basil Fried Rice. The Laab Chicken Salad was very delicious. My partner's Chicken Panang Curry was very tasty and well made. My Basil Fried Rice was so delicious. For dessert we ordered the Mango Sticky Rice which was some of the best we have tasted in all of our travels. The service here is top notch. They treat you like they have known you forever. The restaurant was very clean as were the restrooms. Cannot wait to return.
Got the #47 mixed stir fry veggie with beef. The veggies were crisp and not wilted or overly cooked. The brown sauce they use to cook it is so flavorful and goes really well with the dish, after I've finished the beef and veg, my husband scooped up the rest of the brown sauce & ate it with leftover rice, it tastes really good. He got the pineapple fried rice with chicken and added broccoli, it's different from another Thai place we went to in Richardson that also had pineapple fried rice. This one had added nuts and raisins, which were a bit unusual for us. The raisins surprisingly went with the pineapple and added to the flavor of the dish. Service is very friendly as well, they bring out your food quickly.
Was not impressed. I was really excited to try it and drove over an hour to come here. We tried the Panag Curry, wings, fried tofu, Tom Yum soup, teriyaki chicken, and the egg rolls. There wasn't a lot of flavor to the food, the service from the young man was lacking so unfortunately we will not be back. Panda Express would be a better stop.
I had a craving for Thai, I ordered a few things, everything was OKAY, the issue lies in the Chicken Satay I ordered. They ALL were pink ok the inside. Big ups to them for using real chicken big thumbs down for them not cooking it fully. I probably won’t be back but if you like food blander this is definitely the spot. No shade just truth. Also the price everything was around $20-$40 so a bit pricey
I was fortunate enough to grow up eating various styles of Thai food my entire life, on top of my profession of 14 years.. Originally I wanted the Sesame Chicken and was told all of the deep fried chicken options were unavailable for 30 mins to 1 hour.. no big deal. So, I proceeded to order for takeout the Thai bail fried rice with chicken…asked for another recommendation which was the Pad Kee Mao with chicken due to it being a popular choice. Got home 15 mins later, food was hot ✅ Noodles were very bland, not saucy at all, were broken (I’m sure due to the steam of sitting, which I’ll offer grace) This was the least flavorful Thai basil rice I’ve ever had in years — I eat at Thai places all over the DFW & HTX Not sure if I’d come back again. The customer service was great ✅ The ambiance was beautiful ✅ Food smelled amazing, but sadly lacked flavor ❌ I’m only eating because I paid $30 for both dishes and don’t want to waste food or money.
Ordered an delivery. When they say everything is bigger in Texas. I don’t think it’s true for this restaurant. I ordered seafood tom yum and the seafood tasted hard and not a bit bland. My husband ordered sweet and sour chicken. The food didn’t come with rice, that small tom yum soup cost $11 + $2 rice.
