Siamo stati alla Buca Romana con un gruppo di amici e l’esperienza è stata davvero positiva. L’ambiente è caldo e accogliente, il personale sempre sorridente e disponibile. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene, con piatti tipici romani preparati con cura e ingredienti di qualità. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Torneremo sicuramente!

Io e mia moglie siamo stati alla Buca Romana e ci siamo trovati davvero benissimo. L’ambiente è accogliente e familiare, ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio. Abbiamo ordinato un filetto ed è stato straordinario: carne tenera, saporita e cotta esattamente come la volevamo. Anche il servizio è stato gentile e disponibile, sempre con un sorriso. È stata una serata piacevole e rilassante, di quelle che ti restano impresse. Sicuramente torneremo!

Close to the Republica just minutes from Termini station cozy inside and well decorated. Price wise the same as everywhere in Rome. Everything was good the “supli” were amazing good service and great meat they even come and cook it by the table with flame. We had pasta of course and we all devoured the food. I loved it.

This is a superb dining experience. Enjoy fresh-cut ribeye prepared table-side. Great seafood choices too. We were literally drawn into the place by the aromas coming out of the door. We visited twice in six days. Oh, do yourself a favor and have Massimo prepare Crepes Flambé, also table-side. Wonderful atmosphere and great service. Very highly recommended.

I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if travelling to Rome. The food was superb. Steak was cooked to perfection. Tiramisu was absolutely delicious. Excellent menu. Oh my goodness! The food here was amazing! I do not believe the scallopini was cooked in the kitchen, I think it may well have been prepared in heaven! The host was friendly and welcoming, the mixed bruschetta was delicious. The pizzas were excellent. Drinks were cold. Bustling streets was nice to watch the world go by without being overwhelming. I would eat here every night forever!

Our best night in Rome! We found La Buca by accident and what a happy surprise. Massimo is a gem that treated us like Royal Guests in his own home. Not to be outdone by the service - the food was amazing as well. We had the bruschetta , pasta , steak and tiramisu and loved each. TLDR: flavourful food, not overly salty (like what we’ve experienced in Italy so far), would give 4 stars (docking 1 as there were a couple of small little flies hovering at our table) but the food was surprisingly good so we’ll easily give 5 stars. Was looking around for risotto in Rome on google maps and chanced upon this place on a Sunday evening, we were quite early for dinner at about 5.45pm. We ordered the seafood risotto and the grilled squid, along with a bottled beer and a glass of white wine. Seafood risotto was really really good! Not overly salty and rice was cooked well. Generous medley of seafood (clams, mussels, prawns, squid), which gave the rice a succulent ocean flavour. Grilled squid was so fresh! Not gonna lie, we initially ordered this thinking it’ll be fried calamari; our hungry state marred our vision, menu clearly states “grilled squid” but we only read Calamari. Anyways it was a good mistake! Squid was so soft and yummy, and again not overly salty. Cons: the only room for improvement would be the few little flies we experienced during our dinner. Overall, thank you for setting our expectations for risotto and grilled calamari! Recommended place to try!

Great little find we stumbled upon after arriving in Rome very late on the search for some food! Sadly the pizza oven was already off (which was very reasonable for the late time we came in), nonetheless we were sad not to be able to try some pizza, bc the pasta we had was incredible so we only could imagine how good the pizza must’ve been! Service was very quick and sweet and forthcoming! Definitely recommend this beautiful place. Very charming interior!

Love this place. This is our second time here. We found it our last time in Rome. It was so good, we decided to come again during our recent trip to Rome. The food is excellent and so is the service. The boards they prepare for you are amazing. The pastas are great. The limoncello at the end is delightful. We will keep coming back.

You can come here if you’re looking for a low light, romantic vibe or if you’re going out with family. Such a nice atmosphere with soft music and incredible smells. We received complementary champagne upon arrival and were surprised to find gluten free food here. My husband and I shared a ribeye steak and each got baked potatoes. Wow, this was the greatest meal I’ve ever eaten. The flavor in every bite was unmatched. They actually sliced and cooked the steak in front of us which was cool. I cannot recommend this place enough. Sit, relax and eat some incredible food with good company.

We had an amazing experience eating dinner here. They hand-cut the steak at the time of our order and cooked it table-side. Absolutely delicious. Same with the Sea Bass. They gave us complimentary champagne when we got there and biscotti at the end. Everything we ate was really, really wonderful. There was just so much of it! We should have asked the cost of the steak and fish when he recommended it to us. The menu pricing was very reasonable so we were a little surprised when the bill wound up being over $200 for the 4 of us, even though my son shared the steak with my husband and didn't order a meal of his own. Still, we really felt the food was simply wonderful and we chalked it up to a great gastronomical experience. We enjoyed the live music as well. I will say, however, that usually Italian restaurants charge a cuperto per person and a tip is not expected... at least not a 20% tip like in the U.S. But, the gentleman who served us and seemed to run/own this restaurant made sure to tell us several times that our bill didn't include his tip. We did include a tip, but what turned me off was him pushing the matter and then he came up while we were still there to open the folder to see what we had left him. Overall, we'd do it again. Just know in advance to ask about prices of things suggested and plan that a tip is expected.

Siamo stati a cena alla Buca Romana e l’esperienza è stata davvero piacevole. Abbiamo ordinato una pasta alla matriciana senza glutine e un abbacchio scottadito di agnello: entrambi i piatti erano buoni, con ingredienti di qualità e una cottura della carne davvero ottima. Il servizio è stato rapido e il personale molto gentile. Nonostante non avessimo prenotato, siamo riusciti a trovare posto senza problemi, cosa molto apprezzata. L’atmosfera del locale è accogliente e curata; durante la serata c’era anche musica dal vivo, che ha reso l’ambiente ancora più gradevole. L’unico aspetto meno positivo sono i prezzi del vino, che abbiamo trovato un po’ elevati. Nel complesso, una cena davvero piacevole: consigliato!

Conosciuto per caso, ho voluto provare. Il locale è bello e il personale è accogliente. Ho iniziato prendendo un'amatriciana, non era male però mi aspettavo che il sugo fosse più saporito, e non vorrei sbagliarmi però sopra i bucatini mi hanno messo il parmigiano che insomma, secondo me non si sposa bene con una amatriciana. Di secondo ho preso l'abbacchio, mi è piaciuto, la carne era tenera e cotta bene. Ho concluso con una buona panna cotta fatta da loro. Per essere nel cuore di Roma e vicino alla stazione, mi aspettavo molto ma molto peggio, invece è stato un pranzo gradevole.

Due giorni romana in cui ho sia cenato che pranzato in questo ristorante con un piccolo ed anonimo ingresso dall'esterno ma in realtà carino e molto grande dentro. Servizio veloce (anche simpatica la ragazza che ci ha servito oggi a pranzo!) ed efficace. Menù ampio con i piatti tipici della tradizione che sono stati la mia scelta (gricia, cacio e pepe, saltimbocca e coda alla vaccinara). La pasta è fresca e tutto è preparato al momento con carni e pesce esposto. Anche i dolci fatti a mano ed al momento. Da questo lato sono ampiamente soddisfatto. Il motivo di una stella in meno è da ritrovarsi nel conto, a mio modo di vedere eccessivo rispetto ai piatti presi (35-40€ a testa, senza che tutti i commensali prendessero secondi e senza bevande diverse dall'acqua). Ma vista anche la comodità del posto, non escludo di tornarci!

Cena piacevole, personale attento e gentile, ci ha servito il giovane Francesco, molto disponibile. I piatti abbondanti e gustosi, dalla pizza alla fiorentina, buonissima, passando per la matriciana! Raccomandabile!!

This place was near our hotel so we decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint! The food was great: pizza quattro formaggi had a nice crust and a balanced flavor, the fillet steak had an amazing charcoal flavor and melted in my mouth and the lasagna was definitely one of the best I had ever tried with tons of layers and a rich sauce, even though it lacked in my opinion cheese. The tiramisu’s cream was also excellent, but personally, I thought it had too much coffee. The service was a bit slow, even though there weren’t a lot of customers, but the waiters were kind and polite. The atmosphere was decent. The bill came out to over 100 euro without service charge, which is definitely pricey for 2 people. I tried to understand why it was so expensive, but couldn’t because it was in Italian. In conclusion, great place with authentic Italian dishes. I would definitely visit it again!

Nice ambience /music. It can be quite noisy if ur next table dinner happily chit chatting. Service was slow.. I was ushered in quickly to a table..however waited >15mins for being noticed and shown the menu. Bread was hard and no olive oil for dipping. I am not sure whether it is the culture however it's a long waiting from being shown menu to Bread serving and another long waiting till my order arrived . Upon finished I requested for bill however again it's another wait.. at the end I walked up to the cashier myself.. cos I wasn't feel comfortable . Sitting alone and doing nothing. In my opinion.. this place is good for big group as you will be noticed/served. But not really for solo dinner. Food was ok..but not fantastic. Credit to the restaurant.. they did offer prosecco on the house.

Complimentary champagne was offered however had to give back because I can’t drink it. IMO, the food is just ok and way overpriced. For the sea bass priced at 30 euros, I expected more but the fish was overcooked. The potato crust was not a crust but is comprised of shaved slices of potatoes laid on top of the bass. It looks like it was baked in the oven which you can see on top which is why the fish is overcooked because that was made first. The complimentary bread was cold and no side place was offered nor any oil/vinegar. The salad took a solid 20-30min to come out and not impressed. Salad had a mix of arugula, red lettuce, romaine lettuce, shaved carrots, halved tomato slices, and kennel corn. It just doesn’t go well together and I’d skip the place. There were fruit flies flying around which is annoying. The atmosphere is casual and like the Xmas lights but would not recommend.

Make sure you’re clear on prices before ordering. We ordered 2 Aperol Spritz. Imagine our surprise when we were charged €26.00. Rip off, stay away from this place.

Premetto che sono una persona che frequenta moltissimi ristoranti, di ogni genere e livello, e cerco sempre di essere obiettivo nelle mie valutazioni. Purtroppo, la mia esperienza presso il vostro ristorante durante il periodo natalizio è stata decisamente deludente. Nonostante la buona volontà del personale, il livello complessivo – dal cibo all’ambiente – è davvero mediocre. Il servizio lascia molto a desiderare: i camerieri, per lo più stranieri, faticano a comprendere correttamente l’italiano e spesso bisogna ripetere le ordinazioni più volte. L’ambiente, poi, non aiuta: luci, addobbi natalizi e arredi sembrano fermi agli anni ‘80-‘90, senza alcuna attenzione a rendere il locale accogliente o aggiornato. Il tocco finale? Un muro con visibili e numerosi moscerini… sinceramente inaccettabile. Passiamo al cibo e ai prezzi: le pietanze sono di livello medio-basso, ma i prezzi risultano eccessivi e sproporzionati. Il cameriere ha anche cercato, con insistenza, di farci ordinare la carne “a peso”, ma ci siamo limitati a una portata a testa e un paio di contorni (anch’essi datati e lasciati lì). In sintesi: il rapporto qualità-prezzo è pessimo. Per la cifra che chiedete, il locale e la cucina dovrebbero essere di tutt’altro livello. Se invece volete offrire un’esperienza semplice, impostatevi come trattoria — con prezzi e aspettative coerenti. Così, com’è ora, sembra solo una trappola per turisti. A mai più!

Pessimo. Il vino rosso della casa era leggermente spunto. Ho ordinato un abbacchio scottadito. Mi è stato portato con qualche foglia di insalata. La carne era dura e un pezzo non era una costoletta, non si capiva quale parte fosse, ho fatta fatica a mangiarlo. I cameriera mi giravano intorno e per ben due volte mi hanno chiesto se avevo finito come per mettermi fretta. L'una cosa positiva è stata la musica dal vivo.
