Stopped by for a quick dinner and was impressed. Staff greeted us warmly and moved efficiently-no waiting, but not rushed. The food tasted homemade: bold spices, fresh ingredients, generous portions. The room felt unpretentious and lively, with mismatched chairs and upbeat chatter. Prices are pleasantly low, great value for what you get. Would come again for a reliable, tasty meal without breaking the bank.

This is the SPOT! Love supporting black owned businesses and have been coming back since the first time I tried it! Everything is fresh!!! My favorite is the curry goat! Service is also great! The woman who serves is absolutely lovely!!!! So many spots and this is now my number 1!!!!

I went to Rock Island for the first time last night 12/30, after reading the reviews. First, the lady behind the counter was very pleasant and professional. She greeted me and assured me she would be right with me. (I liked and appreciated that). I ordered a large chicken soup, which was very tasty, and I decided to order some fried chicken (based on the raving reviews). Let me tell you....I don't know what they seasoned that chicken with, all I know is, it was on point! I will definitely be back, as I really need to try the other foods on their menu.

Was kind of skeptical because of the lack of reviews but I assume it’s a new spot. I ordered brown stew snapper and it was SOOOOO GOOD, very well seasoned & spicy like I like it! The price wasn’t bad at all which surprised me! They didn’t make the fish in bulk and have it sitting there all day getting dried out like most restaurants which is a DEFINITE PLUS! My sister had the stew chicken & she said it was amazing. The cashier was sweet & friendly as well. 10 out of 10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Best Jamaican food in Queens hands down I would recommend the oxtail which is reasonably priced the curry goat and the fried chicken. The rice is also cooked nice as well don’t forget to get some extra gravy on top to complete the meal. Me and my family enjoyed every bite.

My sister and I went last night and got 2 chicken foot soup, med fried chicken & med stew peas. The food was AMAZING. Haven’t had food from outside that taste sooooooo good. Will definitely be returning.

I had the curry goat and fried chicken with white rice and it was very good. The food here felt like eating a proper home cook rather than fast food. Chef's most definitely on point 👌🏽

Don't waste your time ordering on any delivery app especially if you're super hungry. Takes 3 hours if not canceled. Such a joke Just walk in & pick up or spend your money elsewhere

Had to wait almost an hour for 3 small lunch plates. I specifically ordered fried chicken with steamed vegetables. But the fried chicken took over 45 minutes to cook and it still was not ready, and they gave me bagged lettuce. My coworker ordered the same with rice and peas with oxtail gravy and it was not oxtail gravy it was stew chicken gravy and the rice was still dry. We ordered fried dumplings that were listed on the menu and they advised after we went to the restaurant that it is a breakfast food. The chicken was not fried it was baked, and it did not taste good. This is not a place I would go back to again.

Dordash takes a very long time to prepare delivery for couriers, there is no time to wait for one meal for 30 minutes

I ordered food from Uber eats around 12 pm and waited over two hours before receiving it. Three delivery persons cancelled picking up my order because it was not ready within the specified time frame. No one had the courtesy to call to change the order or inform me that what I ordered is not ready. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Trying to support black businesses will often leave your disappointed and frustrated. Drove 30 mins to come and get food arrived at 8:30 am for them to say they’re closed. When the signage on the door states they open at 7:00. Smh.
