The atmosphere is absolutely magical; they’ve transformed a historic 1800s building into a chic space where European elegance perfectly blends with rustic charm. In the evening, the candlelight creates an incredibly romantic vibe. The service is top-notch the staff is attentive and really knows the menu inside and out. We had the lobster ravioli and the carbonara, and they were divine! It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some upscale comfort food in a very cozy, welcoming setting. Highly recommended!

Super cute place with good food, especially the bread service - YUM. This was my third time to go in the last couple of years, but this was by FAR my best experience and that was all thanks to Linda. If you go, make sure to request her. She is a total sweetheart and an excellent server. Thanks for a fun time, Linda! :-)

We wanted a sit down restaurant with AC and this place did not disappoint. Beautifully decorated inside, French inspired. The menu had a variety of choices to choose from. We both decided on chicken options. Also they have bread service served with oil/balsamic & honey butter. Daily baked fresh bread. To end our meal we decided upon an Italian cream cake which was topped with a fresh blueberry glaze. Every plate was full of flavor. Well presented and cooked. Price is on the higher end, but you get what you pay for. The server was very attentive and sweet.

I was visiting Round Top when the town is kind of sleepy…food choices are limited. I was avoiding Lulu’s because I had Italian at the place I was staying the night before. Once I saw my only other choice in town may be the Rifle Association for a burger (and they only take cash if you ever want to go-Monday nights only)…anyways, I decided to come here and so glad I did! They had other options besides Italian. The drink I had was good. Gelato amazing. Steak amazing. The service was excellent. Very cordial and fantastic waiter! Highly recommend!

Exceptional food and great service. We will be back for sure. Gnocchi was a little heavy, but very flavorful. The Branzino was spot on. The strip was perfectly cooked. Get the caviar.

First off, Nathan was absolutely amazing, and the food and drinks perfectly complemented his outstanding service. The dishes were full of flavor, and this is a must-stop spot if you’re craving delicious Italian food and a great atmosphere.

Our last meal of the trip was HANDS DOWN the best! Stopped in for breakfast and immediately fell in love with the decor and general vibe of the restaurant. Our server, Linda, went above and beyond to make our meal absolutely perfect. Will 100% come back next time we’re in town!

This is the cutest spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just drinks in their cozy chic bar. Special shout out to Linda, our server extraordinaire for both dinner and breakfast the next day. It was so good we had to come back to try more! We will be back every time we are on Round Top!

We had a birthday dinner for our friend and table of 7. From the moment we walked in, we were treated with a+ hospitality and Samuel made us feel special and attended to. We shared food family style and even had a second order of the lasagna. We can’t wait to return!

My sister and I had a wonderful weeknight dining event! In the sleepy town of Roundtop TX, with everything mostly closed (unless there is a festival going on) we discovered Lulu's. Charming old world decor, friendly and attentive staff with absolutely delicious food- the perfect evening. Our food was excellent, served on pace to our desire for a slow dining time (not rushed, nor left waiting). Unique flavor profiles that we loved. Thank you to Fernando for a most pleasant time, to celebrate our sister time together, with a special birthday touch from Josephine. We loved it all! We had the burrata appetizer A yummy arugula salad with grilled pears and spiced pecans Beef bolognese- a real treat with fresh pasta and a beef sauce Finished with Italian butter cake and gelato

Was in town for a girls trip and happened to stop in for an afternoon drink. The decor and vibe were so cute that we came back for dinner. The staff was so kind, fun and accommodating to us. The food was outstanding, drinks were delicious and the decor was unmatched. Such a nice surprise! You won’t regret checking this place out.

In Round Top there are not many places to eat on Wednesdays. So, we went to Lulu's for an early (5:30 PM) dinner and we're glad we did. It was 102° outside, under the subdued lighting in the bar at Lulu's it was cool and comfortable and we were the crowd. We had the bar to ourselves. The young bartender was local, articulate and fun to talk to, the atmosphere was great and the food was good: we had the bucatini all'amatriciano and the braised beef short ribs and a couple glasses of very decent wine. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.

It was nice to discover a more elegant restaurant in a small village of Texas (Round Top). We arrived early and we were promptly greeted and seated. We enjoyed a nice glass of Möet and we could tell it was from a freshly opened bottle. The food is very tasty, although the kitchen is not really offering anything truly innovative, as far as I'm concerned. The price point for the main dishes was on par with most high end restaurants of Houston. The smaller items, like salads, deserts are over priced. We hadn't looked at the menú yet, and when the server asked if we wanted bread, we said yes, only to find out you are charged for it. PS...the butter is too sweet! The dessert, we had the raspberry sorbet, honestly, the scoops were pitifully small. The main dining room is beautiful.

Recommended by the bar tender, I had the chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes. The sauce was super thin and the flavor was bland, could’ve had a better one at Olive Garden. We also ordered their soup of the day, which was tomato basil. However, they seem to run out of it in 3 hours on Valentine’s Day! The bar tender didn’t tell us and just brought us out gumbo instead. Very strange for a supposedly fine restaurant. Other than that, the ambience was nice, drinks were fantastic and the service was good. The bar area could be a little darker and cozier, but it worked with the rain.

Pretentious, to say the least… perhaps “milimetrical and pretentious” would be better… I had the thinnest chicken milanesa in my entire life. My wife had meatballs with polenta, weird taste, average good… everything looked so overpriced for the quality and taste. I won’t be back…

First time in and I wanted to like this place, but it was a huge disappointment. Bread and oil was great. Calamari appetizer was soggy and soaked in fry oil. Dinner portion Ceasar salad was very small and wilted, far from fresh with the lower stem still attached. Grilled chicken side for the salad was completely dry. The filet mignon was an extremely odd texture... and appeared to have been cooked in an oven I'm assuming as there were no grill marks or sear to it at all, just covered in a mushroom gravy. The gravy was great but I could only eat it with the bread that was served earlier in the meal. The quality of the food did not match the price tag by a large margin. The service was adequate and the waitress was very nice. I just hope our experience was a one off...

My sister and I ate there yesterday evening. It was our first (and last) time dining there. The place was very cute and we were seated in the back left corner room. It was very hot in there. I was literally sweating! Then the food comes out…I ordered lasagna and my sister ordered spaghetti & meatballs. Both dishes arrived barely warm, not really palatable, the pasta was overcooked and soggy in both dishes. We sent our food back to be heated up and mine came back hot but still soggy and sisters came back still barely warm!! Now as far as quality…not only was the pasta overcooked but the “meat” in my lasagna must have been the cheapest ground meat on the market, Terrible!!!! The meatballs were mostly breading! So I would never recommend this restaurant! You expect good food when you pay $26 for a simple dish like spaghetti!

Great atmosphere, but poor execution on dishes. The wagyu ribeye wasn’t cooked to our order, twice. First was well done, second time was rare. For $80 steak, this isn’t worth it. Some plates were also really expensive for what they were and their taste - good but not great. Risotto had good flavor, but lobster was over cooked. Side spinach was extremely salty. After all of the mistakes, we weren’t even offered a discount or a dessert on the house. I wouldn’t recommend this place

A good friend of mine has been a frequent customer/diner of this establishment. I had plans to dine here in the next couple of weeks, but after hearing about his recent experience, I've decided to dine elsewhere. My friend and his 2 sons were served a pizza with dough that had rotted. It smelled putrid and tasted even worse! It was far from edible! After taking one bite, his boys almost vomited from how disgusting this pizza was. After informing the 20something year old waitress about the issue, she was very rude and dismissive. How does a food establishment not realize that the food they are serving is rotting? This is totally unacceptable. People get deathly ill all the time from food poisoning. Good thing his boys remained healthy after consuming this spoiled pizza. My friend did mentioned that the only saving grace of this place is the manager. Good service AND good safe food are hard to come by these days. Do better Lulu's! Until then, I'll be eating elsewhere!

Now I know why this was one of the only restaurants in town that took reservations during "show" week. Our waiter, Jason who never introduced himself - our host mentioned his name was awful. We sat down, waited and waited for water only to have the table right next to us be sat and then served water before us. We put in our orders a few salads, lobster risotto and cacio e pepe. Again, the table next to us was served their soup first, we waited a good 10 min after they were served for us to get our salads. Our dinner came out and we had to pick up our salad plates, hold them while the other server put our dinner plates down, then hand them to him to take away. Jason never came by and asked how our meal was. We were done and no Jason in sight to get the check. I went up to the bar asked for the check and we left. Only when we were getting up from the table did Jason engage with us asking if we got the check. The table next to us complained about the service also. The food was mediocre. Lobster risotto was flavorless, had to add loads of salt and pepper, not worth the $42 price tag. Cacio e pepe acceptable. The interior of the place is very nice. Could be better lit in the dining area to be able to read the menu. Unfortunately we will not be back. Do not recommend.

ZERO STARS! The absolute worst hospitality I’ve ever experienced. First time visiting Round Top and this restaurant came up on our search. The city is beautiful but please AVOID this place like the plague! When we were greeted by the host (with his seating video monitor), my wife & were told to “run” to get our table before someone else takes it…not escorted to our table and kindly provided menus like other guests. We brushed it off. Once sat, two separate parties, to the right and left of us, were greeted with menus, water, and their drinks were placed. 15 mins pass and after flagging the waiter, we were finally provided menus and water. How can they not notice we arrived first and were seated on an empty table?? We received our drinks then appetizer but were not provided silverware. Again…how?? We waited 40 mins to receive our mains, at one point telling the waiter to cancel our order due to how long and uncomfortable it was waiting. He insisted it was 3rd in line, and after +12 mins it finally arrived. Worst part: I’m writing this after realizing they overcharged by card an extra +18%. Terrible! (Luckily, I emailed the receipt to myself). I wish I could recommend this place, but I can’t and will tell others to SKIP this place. Completely shocked and disappointment to say the least. Never have I felt so ignored and not taken care of. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

We skipped lunch to make sure we had plenty of room for a big dinner at 4pm. While we were waiting to order we noticed several tablecloths around us being set on fire because staff had set lit candles in the chairs under the tablecloths. When pointing it out to the woman setting the table, she looked at us and rolled her eyes and tried to shove the burned tablecloth under the table. I ordered a Paloma and was brought a screwdriver and was told they were out of grapefruit juice. Instead of asking me what I wanted instead, they just chose my substitution. We ordered the caviar service and I was told everything was soy free (serious soy allergy). When it came out, it was obvious it was served with Ruffles potato chips so I asked again about soy. Upon checking a second time with the kitchen they determined it did have soy. After sitting at the table for 1.5 hours, we finally had to flag down our waitress to order our main course. They brought out our salads and then no less than a minute later our entrees arrived. Without asking us, they sent our food back to the kitchen and brought it back 15 minutes later and all of the entrees were cold. Two of my friends ordered the carbonara and received two totally different inedible pasta. One had meat and spaghetti noodles that were uncooked and hard, the other had peas with fettuccine noodles with a strong taste of flour. When we asked the waitress about it, she said someone else (not at our table) requested those noodles. Neither one could eat the pasta because it was so bad. (See photo) Another party member ordered the lasagna. The noodles were overcooked so much that the bottom layer was hard and the sides were burned. On a positive note the ribeye, branzino and short rib were decent. The honey butter with the bread service was delicious. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing meals we as a whole have ever had. The food and service were both problematic. This is my third time here, and I have wanted to understand the hype, but I just don’t.
