Avis sur Pause Coffee Sacramento County
Great find. Friendly and quick service. Good breakfast bagel. Had cappuccino which was well made
pause coffee house just keeps getting better! I love how they expanded and opened the next-door addition!!! the extra seating makes such a great difference and gives the space an even more welcoming vibe. the staff is always so sweet and genuinely caring, and you can really feel the sense of community every time you’re there. On top of that, their coffee is top-tier! they use Onyx roasters, which are seriously the best.
This is my favorite local coffee shop. Their specialty coffees in the autumn are the best around. I enjoy getting mine in a real cup and enjoying it while in the shop. Recently, they enlarged their space and furnished the place with much more comfortable seating.
Always great coffee creations and a generous food menu for a coffee cafe. If they have a special coffee creation, try it! I happy the location added more seating by incorporating the old business footprint next to them, because finding a seat, even midweek at 9:00am could be a challenge. Pause will continue to be a regular meeting spot for me.
I’m always thoroughly satisfied with my drinks at Pause. My go to is a cappuccino or an iced matcha and it’s delicious. Pastries go quick but that’s typical if you’re there in the late afternoon.
pause is probably my favorite coffee shop in the area. all the staff are always very welcoming, friendly, and patient. the environment is suitable for studying/working or to have a coffee with a friend. the drinks and food are good quality without being over priced. my fav go to drinks are the matcha, chai, or white mocha. *chefs kiss* there is seating available both indoors and outdoors. i will say the tables inside are usually full, however, i think as a business that is a good problem to have. it shows just how great this coffee shop is!
Absolutely the BEST coffee lounge in the area. You got to try it. I get different lattes each time, had the chai, had cappuccino....all AMAZING! FYI stick to the jalapeño cheese bagel over any other breakfast/snack item
Visited Pause a few times in the past 6 months and the excellent coffee and atmosphere invited us to repeat visit! Espresso drinks were on point and among the best I've ever had, service is friendly and the atmosphere is upscale and happening. Only downside is the occasional long wait time as there is always only one billing counter irrespective of the line (out the door last time!) but the coffee is worth the wait!
They have amazing, high quality coffee, and great service! Their pastries are delivered from Ettore’s and are always delicious. Friendly baristas, nice relaxing atmosphere. One of my favorite coffee shops. Only con would be their seating, which has a rustic feel that’s a little uncomfortable. I love the aesthetic from afar, just wish it was a bit more ergonomic. Otherwise, 10/10!
I am a batista and very much involved in the business side of coffee as well as the consumer side as a coffee enthusiast. Pause Coffee House really impressed me with their quality and feel. Their beans are just right, same goes for the extraction process and presentation. Was also pleasantly surprised with their pastries and the savory menu they offer (Avocado toast was delicious).
Tried Pause for the first time this morning. Saturday morning around 11am. Wasn’t too crazy busy. The lines move quickly. Staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered a Fresh strawberry lemonade(seasonal), a black iced tea, iced vanilla latte. When I try new coffee shops I always try the vanilla latte first and that’s how I decide if their drinks will be good. I absolutely loved the latte and my grandson loved his strawberry lemonade. We also ordered the avocado toast and a jalapeño bagel sandwich. Loved the food also!! I highly recommend Pause. Take time out of your day to Pause.
First time here, and I really enjoyed my visit. The place is very big and, most importantly, clean. I love the atmosphere, so relax, and cozy. They have plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside, too. The barista asked the right questions while ordering my coffee. Compared to other coffee shops, Pause offers 3 different sizes, which I definitely love. After all, not always one size fits all, right?. The bedgal was good, toasted, and tasted fresh. I will definitely stop by again next time I'm around.
Espresso is very tasty, they serve it with a sparkling water. Cortado was very rich and creamy. They offered to warm up the scone we ordered - thank you! Update 05/19/2024 Since our last delightful visit two weeks ago, I was pleasantly surprised to receive two discount codes - a $5 token of appreciation for our first visit and a $10 birthday gift (courtesy of Square online - I’m still trying to figure out what I did to deserve it 🙈). So, with a sense of anticipation, we returned today and indulged in 2 creamy cortados and 3 delectable pastries - all for the unbelievable total of around $5! It felt like we had stumbled upon a hidden treasure! We are absolutely thrilled and can’t wait for our next visit! The cortado, I must say, continues to be an outstanding delight! ❤️
This place is my second home. I come here habitually, with that I am always welcomed with the upmost gratitude for being there. I always end up learning something new about the staff. They are such wholesome people who create some of, if not the best coffee I’ve ever had. The building itself is very homey, the music is superb, the coffee is phenomenal, the staff is very diverse. This place forever holds a place in my heart.
Nice “real” coffee shop to come and hang/work at. Solid coffee, some upscale retail options and quite a bit of seating, and many with outlets. Very nice baristas, and some high quality offerings. Customers: I wish people were a little more self aware. If you don’t need an outlet, please be aware others might need one. A nice and popular spot for work.
Strengths: Good coffee, pastries, and vibe. It's often busy so can't always find seating. Improvent Opportunities: The tables and chairs. Comfortable seating: Tables are way too high for the chairs so you feel like a four-year-old at the grownups' table. Bar stools are hard, short and hard to move. Some have a sloped seat, which is odd and uncomfortable.
First time visiting, ordering was easy. Ordered food and coffee. Food pick up is on the opposite side of the coffee pick up. Usually crowded on the weekend, but shared spaces are available. Great coffee and Ettore's pastries. We will definitely be back!
Friendly Staff, great coffee & pastries. They do need outdoor Shade Covering as seating limited inside. Lots of young adults studying inside and one person will take up a table for four. Difficult to find seating for more than 2 people.
The coffee here is undoubtedly delicious. Introducing new menu items every season could provide satisfaction to those looking for unique coffee options. The pastries are sourced from a well-known and highly trusted bakery in the Sacramento area, and they taste great. However, the place is often crowded, and customers end up waiting in long lines. Despite this, there has only been one counter for over a year. Moreover, they follow a slow ordering process where they finish one order completely before starting the next, citing concerns about mixing up orders. When I ordered coffee, my name wasn't called, so I went to check and found out someone else had taken my coffee. Although they handled the issue quickly, I think their system lacks the ability to deal efficiently with such situations.
Our first time at Pause. The place looked very clean. The drinks were good. The vibe was spot on to the coffee houses I hung out at in college with all the wood. The staff pretty much ignored us until we flagged them down to order and the pastry selection was bare. We'll be back and reevaluate.
The coffee was great, but the food experience was terrible. We ordered a chicken wrap and a bagel and waited for about an hour and a half. We even asked the staff a couple of times if it’s normal to wait that long — the server clearly didn’t care. Turns out, the buzzer that was supposed to notify us didn’t even work. So we ended up picking up our food ice cold and completely inedible. The chicken wrap was just awful, and the bagel wasn’t any better. Don’t order any food here — just stick to coffee.
With a limited menu I wasn’t sure if I’d find something that I’d enjoy. I tried a iced butterscotch coffee with milk and it wasn’t bad, but the almond croissant was delicious which really surprised me since it was flat as a board (never seen that before) the sign said that they come from ettore’s so there’s no surprise that it was delicious 🤤 The person helping me was very friendly and nice but the lady making the drinks was the opposite. She acted like she really didn’t want to be there. The Restaurant seemed to be clean with lots of beautiful plants around 🪴
Not enough seating on the inside, wasted space. Slow service unfortunately and the price for the actual size of drink you received is underwhelming. You come here once and then not really remember to come back. Outside seating has no umbrellas at any of the tables so all the seating is wet from the rain. It's sad that the actual memorable part is all the negative issues with the place. The drink I ordered wasn't bad but I couldn't really enjoy it with the person I brought to sit and enjoy time with. This business is not a well thought out place or layout.
Super loud music. I was told it could only be turned down temporarily because the staff needed it to keep up there fast pace. Looking around I noticed plenty of people were wearing earbuds. I saw no one in conversation. Is this the new normal? The new base noise level we're all supposed to not only accept, but "pause" to? No thank you. Food and coffee are good, but it was painful to linger. It's not surprising the level of anxiety in our society when music noise is ignored.
