Had to finish up some work before heading to the airport. The manager kindly provided me with a plug to use for my computer! I order the fajitas and they were so good! Beef chimichuri! Yum! Loved the on site made tortillas! Haven’t been here in several years all the food was excellent! I forgot how good the salsa is! I live in Vegas now and the Mexican restaurant food there is underwhelming! So the food was a pleasant surprise! The server was attentive. The restaurant next to the river it a great spot! The parking lot gets full but overall plenty of parking. Definitely can’t wait to come back!
Such a cool spot! The location right by the river is perfect, and the whole place has a really lively, upbeat energy. The staff was welcoming and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend if you're looking for good views and friendly service
The food was tasty and the views were great! Great spot to chill and have some good Mexican food by the river! We ordered the 3 combo plate and were satisfied! Make reservations! The only downside iss the odd music choice for the outdoor seating..it was upbeat latino dance music on a Sunday which didn't fit the atmosphere. Still, we will be visiting again!
🌟 A Sunday Brunch You CANNOT Miss! 🌟 I recently enjoyed the all-you-can-eat Sunday Brunch at Chevys on the River, and it was an absolutely five-star experience from start to finish! From the moment we arrived, the wonderful team made us feel welcome. Breanna the host was absolutely fantastic and greeted everyone with a genuine smile, setting the perfect tone for our meal. Our server, Edith, was a true professional—attentive, friendly, and she made sure our bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary's were never empty! Her service was stellar and truly elevated the entire dining experience. The food itself was superb. Everything on the buffet was hot and fresh, and the quality was excellent. A highlight was the station where the tortillas are made to order—you can taste the difference! The combination of the delicious food, flowing drinks, and the wonderful service from Breanna and Edith creates a truly magnificent atmosphere. If you're looking for a fantastic way to spend your Sunday, come and enjoy this wonderful atmosphere and this incredible brunch! We will definitely be back!
Wow, what a great experience! Excellent food, great service and really nice views of the river. We went late Saturday afternoon and parking was easy. The manager stopped by at the end of our meal and was so friendly and genuinely concerned about finding out about our experience. Our server Savana was no nice and made sure we had a great experience. As we were leaving multiple team members said good-bye to us. Lots of positive energy! Can't remember a similar experience ☺️.
I just really wanted to compliment our server, Angelita! She was great. She was attentive, anticipated our needs, such as bringing extra napkins and salsa when it got low. She was pleasant and was able to offer recommendations when we had a questions. It has been a while since we had a great server here! Thanks Angelita!!
I am happy to give a five star review on the service on the atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious. We were offered second thing of chips without even asking we were given five star service and review here is spectacular! John, the manager has always gone over and beyond to make sure that we are well taken care of in the server Chris was excellent

I went for Happy Hour with a friend. Our server Tony was flying around the bar area and was very attentive. We did have one moment where we ordered drinks and it took quite a while for them to come out. I asked the manger John if we could cancel the drinks and almost after I said that the drinks arrived at our table. The manager John was so motivated to make sure that we had a great experience that he took those drinks off our bill even though I said I would pay for them. In fact, during our 2 hour time there, we had 2 different managers stop by to check on us. You can really tell that customers having a great experience is important to Chevy’s on the River and I left impressed with John’s care of quality and service.
Amazing dinner with the team – Chevy's delivered! We had a fantastic night at Chevy's! It's been way too long since I've been there, and I forgot how good those fresh tortillas are….. they were absolutely amazing. Fajitas combo was so good too, every item was great. I brought a volleyball team along with parents and coaches, and everyone had a great time. The food was excellent, and the service was top-notch. Egan at the front was welcoming and made sure we were taken care of along with the dining room manager who help set up th tables, and Brianna (Bri) was fantastic and kind helping out table. She was attentive, friendly, and on point all night. Big thanks to the whole staff for making it such a smooth and enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be back!
This should totally be the number one happy hour voted in Sacramento. We had the nicest time the waitress was off the charts great. The food was delicious and the margaritas were to die for.
Angie was incredible. They had a really busy lunch rush and she still provided us with so much attention. We love Chevy’s a lot and will always come back here. Thank you Angie!
We came in for a late lunch (1:30 pm on Saturday) and Chevys took care of our party of seven promptly. We had no wait for a table. I do wish the patio had heaters as it would have been nice to get a clear view of the river. Our food was good and came out at about the same time for all seven of us. The salsa and chips were outstanding: maybe too good because I did not feel a need to order the tableside guacamole!! Interestingly, the coffee was AMAZING. Clearly it was freshly made for the first cup and then refills. Overall, our tab came to just under $190 including the house added 20% tip. That is a very hard to beat cost these days.
Our server Willie was the best, and manager John superb. We reserved our party of 22, and the team handled everything perfectly…the drinks, the food, absolutely top notch. We’ll be back and spread the word.

I had a bad experience this summer and hadn’t returned since but I love Chevy’s and decided to give you all another try. Thank you for coming to my table and connecting with me. Went for Thanksgiving and they had a buffet. The food was great, and there was a variety to choose from. The restaurant was nice, i think they mentioned a recent renovation. It was a nice rustic vibe inside. The service was the best part of the experience by far. Everyone was really kind and attentive. The general manager, JP, was one of the kindest, sweetest men I’ve ever met.
First time here. My server Antonio was AMAZING! I complimented him on his service, too. Started off with the Queso and it was delicious. Antonio recommended the ribeye tacos and maaaaaaan were they FANTASTIC!!!!!! AND I heard Ramon Ayala and Selena while I eating! I am in town for business but will definitely come back next year!

I came here for lunch and had the sizzling fajitas with all four meats—carnitas, steak, chicken, and shrimp—and wow, they were absolutely perfect! Everything came out hot and fresh, still sizzling, and the flavor was spot on. The shrimp were juicy, the steak was tender, and the carnitas had that perfect crisp edge. Our server, Sarah, was incredible! She was friendly, attentive, and honestly felt like a mind reader—she knew what we needed before we even asked. Drinks refilled, extra tortillas, salsa—everything was just right. The view of the river made it even better. Between the great food, the amazing service, and the relaxed vibe, this is easily one of my favorite spots in Sacramento now. Highly recommend! 🌮🔥

We had our grandparents 50th wedding anniversary with about 20 people. Willie was our serve and was super attentive, the food was delicious and they even let us bring our own table decorations. They set us up upstairs with our own patio, it was beautiful! The only downside was they didn’t let us take our extra food home. We paid for a catered event for 25 people, only 20 showed up. The staff packed up all the extra food in to go boxes for themselves to take home and only allowed us to take home dessert. So that was an bummer. It was probably in the contract we signed I’m not sure. Other than that, the experience was great!
EXCEPTIONAL SUNDAY BRUNCH! Beautiful, festive tons of amazing dishes, churro waffle bar with chocolate fountain ! Flan, cakes, omelets, fresh seafood tostadas. Nice location right on the Sacramento River, but I personally wouldn't recommend going as the best food I had there was the complimentary chips and salsa. I had the chicken fajita burrito and it was not get good. The chicken has almost no flavor. Service was good once seated, but the 10 minute wait we were told to expect turned into a 30 minute wait. There's a lot of other places that are better nearby for the price.

It’s hard to find good service now and days but she definitely knows what it means to be server. She was super friendly and attentive. She constantly checked in on us and made sure we were good. The bald manager named Mike was a bad manager! He over-sat our server, our poor girl was trying her best and maintained a great attitude the whole time. At one point Mike walked ALL THE WAY FROM THE BAR, to come tell her she had “drinks ready”. Our server was splitting our check (table of 12) and she had a table of 20 waiting for her. He should have just brought the drinks since he already walked all the way over to our section instead of stressing her out.

Beautiful spot on the river, but that's about the only reason I'd ever go back. The food was very mid and priced high. I had steak fajitas (price was either $26 or $28 if I remember correctly). Another one of us had steak and shrimp. Both steak entres were overcooked, and the portion very small. It was maybe worth half the price, and even at that rate I still wouldn't be happy with the quality. We were 4 people, only half of us had an alcoholic beverage, and were conservative with the order (no dessert, one appetizer, one entre each). The bill was $200. For that price, you might as well go to a GOOD restaurant. Service was fine, attentiveness of server was good, wait time on food was a tad long but not terrible. There was one mistake with a drink but not a huge deal. Biggest beef was definitely with food quality, overall I have to say the experience was not worth the price and that was disappointing.
