Avis sur Duc Huong Sandwiches Sacramento
Sandwich #2 in our taste test: Bahn Mi at what many friends say serves the best: Duc Huong. We tried #9 pork & #6 shredded chicken, both on garlic roll. We liked the classic pork best. The roll is perfect for this sandwich— crispy on outside & soft on inside. Dont be intimidated by crowds inside— they move quickly. We took ours to go as not really a dine-in restaurant. Plenty of parking, tho you may not get super close as it’s busy place . We will be back👍🏼
Love their Bahn mi. My fave in all Sacramento. Fast service, price is not too bad. New Menu. My fave grilled pork Bahn Mi which used to be #3, is now #1. Very generous filling, juicy and very delicious.
Delicious fresh crispy baguette 🥖. I got two of the #2 Dac Biet combo large Bahn Mi. Best Bahn Mi sandwiches. The meat to vegetables ratio is great. The combination cold cuts are thick slices in the Bahn Mi.
Tried almost everything on their menu and we love the no.1 sandwich and the chicken sandwich, if you don’t like something oily definitely get no.1, their 50 cent garlic bread was also delicious, you have to eat fresh tho, overnight the bread won’t taste as good. The rice noodles is a great snacks for tv shows, not too greasy not too heavy, we tried the beef stew, it was a good portion but it’s not our favorite, if you put noodles inside taste like pho. Highly recommend this location and will be back.
My favorite banh mi spot in town. Despite the low price of $6 for my go-to (cold cut combo), flavor is definitely A+!! Quick and friendly service. No place to sit and eat if thats what youre looking for though, so keep that in mind!
Great sandwiches. The pork combo is a fabulous mix of their 3 pates, choux, etc...the bread is made in house and is the best. Vegetables in the sandwich are the freshest. Forget togos subway and the others complete and utter rubbish. Head to Little Saigon and eat the good stuff!
Delicious and fresh banh mi. Definitely worth it for the money. The bread is baked fresh and is very soft and crispy. The meat and fillings are all tasty and fresh as well. I ordered the grilled chicken, grilled pork and combination sandwiches. I also ordered the iced coffee which was strong and delicious too. I'll definitely come back here again.
Best bread and pate for a Vietnamese sandwich store that is still affordable. There's usually a line out the door, but you can call in and order ahead to skip the wait. I love their bánh cuốn and will always buy two packs when available. They usually sell out if you go later in the afternoon.
This is the one banh mi for me. I love that they do the mini sandwiches that are not cut from longer loaves but their own sized bread. I always get one #1 combination and usually 1 grilled pork. They are perfect in every way. This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion.
I came here based on a recommendation for a Banh Mi restaurant, but I ended up choosing something else because I was intrigued by other menu items. There is no seating; it's basically a takeout-only spot. Perhaps because of that, the prices are relatively affordable, and the taste is generally good.
I have had most of my banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) from Duc Huong Sandwiches for over 10 years. They have the best banh mi in my opinion. The customer service is fast and reliable. They have a long line at the cashier counters all the time. But the line moves very fast, and the sandwiches are ready in 5-10 minutes. I can get a yummy and inexpensive meal very quickly here.
One of the best Bahn mi spots around. This place is essentially a Vietnamese style counter deli with a plethora of authentic traditional foods. Vegetarian options are limiting, however, there are still options so that’s better than nothing. All of the meat bunnies especially the pork offerings are fantastic. Pâté Chaud here is epic, great little snack while you wait for your sandwich. Quintessential South sac Vietnamese food at an unbelievable price do not miss duc huang if your coming through sac. One thing to note, around lunch, on weekends, and especially on weekend holidays, the line can wrap around the block - however, the wait is well worth it.
The banh mi here are packed full of flavor. Forgot how popular and good this shop is. Their ordering system is a little confusing. You get in line to place your order and once you get your receipt with the number, you go wait outside. They have a door propped on the side of the building where they call your number. So that's where pickup is. But the banh mi here are the best when it comes to pate & how much they pile in the sandwich. Bread was a little over toasted but still really good bread. Also, so affordable! I got the #1 & #3 for $6 each!
Everything I've ordered from here is delicious. I like the BBQ pork sandwich with vegetables on the side. The Vietnamese iced coffee is pretty strong. The baguette is always fresh and crunchy. The dried shredded pork is very good. The chocolate croissants are also delicious. The garlic bread is tasty as well. They have so much more, and everything I've tried has never disappointed.
IMO these are the absolute best Bahn mi sandwiches in town, and they have the best fresh baked baguettes also! The bread has a crispy crunchy outer bite with a soft chewy inside. Their patte is soooo good, & I always order the number 3 (grilled pork). Everything is made fresh daily and made to order. After paying for your meal you receive your receipt with your order number on the top. You then go wait outside by the other door for your order to be called. I waited about 20 minutes, there were 8 others before myself. So do beware, the lines get looong, especially if you come later in the day. It'll be hard to avoid. Also parking can be limited if you come later in the day, so be prepared to scout around and walk to your destination if necessary. Another thing I love, they charge $6 for a Bahn mi, they don't charge extra if you ask for more jalapeños or cilantro like other places. They also have baked, snacks, hot foods, and drinks inside as well as baguettes they make for the day too. Another important thing to note is that there is no dine in, its all take out! Definitely check them out for the best bite in town, hopefully you'll enjoy it!
Place to buy sandwiches and other prepared take out. Generally a long queue due to popularity. Bread is fresh and prices reasonable. Small oblong french bread is $.50 a piece. Long baguette is $1.50.
Amazing bahnmis, 4 stars only because Ive compared it to paris bahnmi and prefer theres over duoc huong. They pack these with tons of meat which is a plus but would love a bit more pa thay. Below are photos of the three bahnmi places, duoc hong(most meat), banhmi house(dried pork red wrapping) and paris bahnmi(most pa thay).
You can never go wrong with the traditional #1 & #2 which are the meat loaf and combination. The #3 grilled pork is our family favorite. I’ve been going to this place for awhile now and have only decide to write a review today. I don’t know if management change, but their meat portion for the banh mi isn’t the same as it used to be. I used to get 6 slices on meat loaf (#2) no matter small or large. Lately they’ve been skimping on the meat. Today I decided to try #7, bbq pork char sui. As I ate it on my way home, there was no pate nor jalapeño and the char sui was dry and cold. So I would not recommend #7. I thought the #7 would be good because I like char sui and their grilled pork is always warm when you get them.
Đức Hương Sandwiches is a popular spot with a lot of buzz, and while the banh mi is tasty (especially with their fresh bread), the experience doesn’t always live up to the hype. Prices are great and the food itself delivers, but the 45 minute wait and limited menu at this location can be tough. Parking isn’t the easiest either. Still, when you finally get your order, it’s a solid Vietnamese sandwich that feels worth trying at least once.
I've bought from this Vietnamese sandwich shop many times, and the #6 chicken sandwich is my favorite. This time, when I arrived, the staff told me to wait. After an hour, when I returned, a female employee didn’t even ask what I was picking up—she just rudely told me to wait. The service was terrible. But I don’t know why, this time, my sandwich had so many pieces of chicken skin with feathers and even a chicken tail! Why is there a chicken tail in a Vietnamese sandwich? Is this your quality control? I won’t buy from here again—never. This was truly disgusting.
