Ce que disent les clients de East Patio Mexicano
East Patio Mexicano is praised for its great patio, delicious food, and friendly staff. Happy hour is popular, especially the unlimited tacos. Some find it overpriced outside of happy hour and not very authentic, but the birria specials and mushroom tacos are highly recommended.

This is my all time favorite place for happy hour. Starts at 3 pm and goes to 6 pm. The unlimited tacos with a beer is a great deal. The food is just fantastic.
Delicious tacos and selection of brews in a light atmosphere. A small interior or but plenty of exterior seating to enjoy a cool pint with some delicious tacos. For sure try the mushroom taco as it tastes like your at the beach
Really great food! The chips and salsa are fantastic and they make a really good margarita! I got the burrito. It was fantastic. This place has a really good atmosphere and it’s really fun to eat outside during the summer.
Kind of a hidden gem. I had no idea this restaurant existed and I drive past it everyday. The sandwich board on the sidewalk caught my attention and the mention of Urban Roots validated me going there immediately. I ordered the Pozole and it was absolutely delicious especially in this winter weather. Staff is super friendly and there is plenty of seating. We will be back!! Also, the Horchata is delicious, but I think drink re-fills are $5 which is slightly criminal.
The food was absolutely delicious. I had a chicken quesadilla and I was sad when it was all gone. The location is not the greatest, the parking sucks, but the food was worth the headache.
Food & drink were amazing. The patio outside is really nice and clean. Overall a really cute fun place to be.Highly recommend this place!
Wow. So happy this group took over The Shack! Incredible burger, even better than the original Shack's. Tacos were great. Margaritas were refreshing and clearly made with fresh lime and good ingredients - not too sweet or too strong. Food came out quick. Salsa bar was very good, they had like 10 salsas or something, which was a bit much. 2 or 3 is probably enough, but the ones we tried were good. You can scan a barcode on the tables to order and pay, which is cool, but I was a little confused when we came in on how things worked with the seating. As far as I could tell, you seat yourself. Still dog friendly! Everything seemed clean. Ambiance was nice. They installed some nice overhead heaters that my wife appreciated. Seriously though, try the cheeseburger lol.
Went with the street tacos: carnitas, carne asada, and al pastor. All were strong offerings. And the Paloma was perfectly strong.
Great place. If you like urban roots, you’ll like this place. Highlight was the fresh made tortillas and the mushroom tacos! Salsa bar was also delicious. Dog friendly patio. Downside is price, but you do get free chips and salsa.
Totally love the vibe. Great staff, that make you feel very welcome. Full bar, fantastic beer selection and the food is great. Had both the shrimp and fish tacos. Some of the best and big tacos in Sacramento.
Oh...you haven't been? Well... wait no longer. Go. Go now. Stop reading and go. We had the pleasure of being served at the bar by both Storm and Ness and we could not have had a better experience. Off menu craft cocktails, local beers, and delicious Mexican fare. All were top notch. 10 out of 10. I don't know what took me so long. They have made an evangelist out of me, they will probably do the same for you. Carrying on the tradition of the previous owners and doing them proud. Hell yes.
Lots of seating available on a Tuesday around noon. Ordered the Taco Combo. Had 1 carne asada taco & 1 shrimp taco. The shrimp taco was awesome! So flavorful! The carne asada was good. Combo came with rice and beans. There are no cushions on the indoor booth seating benches. Festive music indoors. Outdoor seating has both shaded and full sun tables.
The birria specials like the birria torta and the crunchwrap are sooo good. When I see cerveceria post on Instagram about these specials, I run down there so fast! You don't wanna miss it.

Food was pretty good. Atmosphere was great and the service was great. Would definitely go back and highly recommended.
Great patio, delicious food. We happened to go for happy hour so that was nice too. Don't miss the queso birria taco!
1st time... Staff is super outgoing and friendly. Don't mind holding a conversation, which is very welcoming. The food was good, the drinks were delicious, and really nice salsa bar selection. Can't wait for summer to come and hang out.

Nice little taco/Mexican restaurant with small full bar. Best in warm weather so you can sit outside. Place is jamming in the summer & pretty quiet in the winter A few of the brews from urban roots on tap here.

Food was just okay. Not very authentic. Meat was kinda salty. The pastor lacked flavor. We had carne asada loaded fries, birria tacos, and street tacos. We came around 2 on a Tuesday which was also happy hour. Service was good, counter order with a number, seat yourself. Friendly staff and quick service. Vibe was cute, full bar, and they had a good happy hour. The taste of the food was just a let down. Not horrible, very edible just not as authentic as I was expecting…it’s more similar to mas taco bar which is not bad but if you’re Mexican (like me) probably not on your lists of places to eat
Really wanted this to be good all around, but we likely won’t be back. Pros: the tortillas are superb, I believe they make them on site. The tacos were large and ingredients fresh. Ceviche was solid. Seemed kid and dog friendly. Impressive salsa station. Cons: Cost and the mixed drinks. Get beer instead. My wife and I stopped in recently for our first visit since the Shack was in business. We each got the 2-taco combo (plus rice and beans), split the $18 ceviche and got two maragritas. With a 15% tip came out to $100. The tacos and portions were very satisfying. Quesabirria, Al pastor, fish and diablo shrimp. All bomb. Fresh ingredients, very tasty, came out quickly (under 10 mins on a busy day). The downside where the margaritas. I got the Mezcal margarita, which taste, like medicine, and my wife, got the Paloma, which taste like well tequila. Watered down and gross, pretty disappointed with those. I don’t think I will take another chance on a $12 margarita that tastes that bad, just get beer instead. Or go to Mezcal on Broadway for solid margaritas for half the price. I think the trick to this place is get one or two tacos à la cart, maybe one beer. Should keep the tab from being shocking. All in all, worth trying, but would not recommend a repeat visit. We'll stick to Mezcal.

Their food is good, but for the money, it’s not quite good enough. Anything besides happy hour is a bit of a rip off. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this is definitely not the spot. As far as drink, the cocktails are good and they have an incredible selection of tequila, but the beers suck. All of urban roots beers taste the same the brewer miraculously makes every single beer from IPA to lager and everything else in between all pretty much taste the same.

First time here and won’t be coming back. Very overpriced for what you get. It’s not Mexican authentic food. Drinks were okay, michelada tasted more like soy sauce, nachos were more of chips then meat/cheese and the chips were very stale. The cheese was very chunky and not even melted all the way (see photo)2 drinks and nachos were $50!!! Better going off elsewhere!

My daughter ate the nachos with no meat and has been sick since. She is now throwing them up. Classic food poisoning. Im not impressed
