Avis sur Federalist Pizza Sacramento
For some of the tastiest Za here in Sacramento, portions are smallish, so if you can eat you'll need 1.5 za and a large beer 🍺 choco taco is good but overpriced for what you get. Get yourself some other sweet treats around there instead
Loved the vibe as it is one of those places that you can drive by and not notice. Pizza was fresh and light. Would go back again especially when the weather warms up.
We love this place. It's tucked away but always lively. Every pizza we have is excellent and their salads are sneakily good. There is always a fun beer selection everyone that is working has been so kind. This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion.
This place has amazing pizza. Amazing. So good...My only gripe is that I live a 90 min drive away. Laid back too. Great pizza. Did I say it was great?
Wood fired pizza, fantastic chew and slight crackle on the crust. I enjoyed the toppings, though it would have been nice if they were better distributed (on the Capitol). I love the butter they serve on the rosemary loaf. One suggestion in general, for the pizzas and salads, is to rinse/soak the red onions in ice water, or quick-pickle them. The raw red onions are just too much and completely overpower the rest of the pizza or salad that it is on. The outdoor environment is great! Loved the benches, lights, and games they had on the side. We were quoted a wait of 1 hr for the pizza after ordering and it ended up being much less, maybe 25 minutes.
I had the absolute pleasure of having Lacey as our waitress, and I cannot speak highly enough of her outstanding customer service skills. From the very beginning, she was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. She took the time to truly understand my needs, answered every question with patience, and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Lacey’s professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made a lasting impression. She handled every interaction with grace and efficiency, and made us feel genuinely valued throughout the entire process. Her commitment to excellence is clear, and it's rare to come across someone so dedicated and passionate about delivering great service. Honorable Mention to Nick – I also want to recognize Nick for his support and positive energy. While my main interaction was with Lacey, Nick’s behind-the-scenes effort and teamwork didn’t go unnoticed. It's clear that both Lacey and Nick are part of a team that truly cares about their customers. Together, they made my experience not only seamless but also enjoyable. Thank you both!
What do you mean it's in the alley way? Yes girl, you got to park your car and make your way to a restaurant in the alley. Once your in the aroma of pizza and fresh air surround you. You order at the counter and then grab your pizzas at the kitchen window. Very cute space and delicious pizza! Did I mention they have vegan yum yums. Recommend for sure!
Federalist Pizza is a wonderfully refreshing pizza restaurant in Sacramento. They have an eclectic menu of pizza, salads, and other menu items; we have never ordered an item we did not thoroughly enjoy. Their pizzas are prepared and cooked to perfection. They have a wonderful selection of beverages. There is plenty of seating, including seating around a fire pit, great for cooler evenings. They also have a wide selection of board games you can enjoy, great for the whole family! Do yourself a favor and check out Federalist Pizza; you will not be disappointed! Alright, I've been coming to the Federalist for years but this is the first time I've reviewed it. The order: Capitol & Southside pizzas, w/ the rosemary loaf and salami sides. Food was good/great. The rosemary loaf was the standout, followed by the Capitol, the Southside, then the salami. Southside came out way more cooked than the Capitol, on the verge of crispy. The beer selection was okay, a good spread of styles, but the specific brews/breweries were mediocre (device, dust bowl, etc). That being said, I'll still continue to come to Federalist for the pizza and ambiance.
Federalist is a rare gem and we're so happy they survived Covid. Their offerings are not as wide and varied as before but the quality is top notch. By FAR the best pepperoni pizza I have ever had, period. They baked bread and serve grilled mushrooms and great salads.... Add to that the wide variety of beer and it's a winner for sure!
Came in but Not planned...walking back to the car w/ a couple friends & came across the place(kinda hidden) located in an Alley behind Waterboy Restaurant. Our experience was Yummy! Came on Trivia Night & saw ppl plating Board Games too! Definitely a Family Friendly Spot🤩👌 Food was Delish! Have BOGO appetizer deal too on the day we went!🥳🫶 Jake have us Great Recommendations! Looking forward to going again soon!
I came walking over from the Farmer's Market ( a little sign told me to come here for wood-fired pizza and beer ). I had to use google maps to find this little hidden gem in the alley since I'm not from Sacramento and am totally unfamiliar with the area, but I am so glad I stopped in. The guy behind the counter was super helpful ( I have a nut allergy and I am not a fan of tomato sauce on pizza... or onions... I KNOW! SORRY! ) He just made it so easy to decide what to order and I ended up ordering The Stanford w/o the pesto and red onions. The wait time was about maybe 10 minutes? The dough was thin & soft, but with great flavor! I planned to maybe eat half and save the rest, but it was so good, tip-to-crust that I practically devoured the entire thing! So if you're in the area and craving REAL pizza, I recommend this place a "MUST TRY!"... and then become a regular. They also have a game stand next to the water shelf, and they advertise Free Bingo on Tuesdays! All I know is the next time I'm in Sac, I will definitely be back 😉👍🏼
Super cool vibe , loud music has a weekend BBQ feel ! Went with the margarita pie. Char was near perfect , amazing crisp chassis , flavor was great, just a little soupy and heavy but definitely tasty. I went 7.8 on the margarita and 7.4 on the cheese . Great pie would definitely repeat.
This place was hard to find. But when you get there, you won't regret it. It's good Pizza. Wish they had more food to offer. Wish they had medium large pizzas. They only have personals which that sucksNot enough to eat but very flavorful. They need a better menu.
Definitely one of the coolest hang out spots on the grid. The atmosphere alone makes it worth it, but their beer options and the quality of their pizza are top notch. The chorizo pizza is especially delicious! It’s a tad pricey in my opinion but still an easy must-go.
Pizza was delicious. It could be slightly less soggy in the middle, but good flavor and soft, chewy crust. Nice beer selection. I wanted to try an ice cream sandwich but they ran out by 6:30 pm. Despite not realizing ahead of time that it was counter service, staff were great. There was a hiccup with our pizza, which they went out of their way to correct. They gave us a new pizza immediately. As a former restaurant manager, I understand these things happen, and I appreciate that it was handled properly. I like that it's outdoors. We'll be back.
So it’s Saturday (6/24) night and the family’s hungry. Couldn’t decide where to go. Son had an idea to try this place out. He’s been here once before, said it’s a pretty cool spot to grab a bite. We’re up for trying different things. The place is pretty cool. Tucked in between the alleyway in downtown. The set up is inviting and gives out a great vibe (5/5). Service was pretty cool. You walk up to the ordering counter, place your order, get handed a number, and you find you own table. Don’t mind that one bit at all for a chill place to dine (5/5). We waited about 15 - 20 minutes or so before our pizzas came. We ordered three. While the pizza was good, I must admit it wasn’t exciting when compared to other pizza parlors serving gourmet pizzas. Portions are on the smaller size for the price. The pizza is made with minimal amount of crust (which is preferred by some) with lite amount of toppings. Taste wise, it’s not bad but not exciting. I would give it a 3/5. The atmosphere is great though and the staff friendly. Over all, I would give this place a 4/5 and a value to price ration of 4/5 also. It’s not a place that would top my list to go to for the food but certainly a place to go to socialize and grab a bite to eat. If you’re in the area with friends and looking for something not super fancy, gives out a good vibe where food taste/quality is not a deal breaker, then this is a place worth checking out.
We ordered two pepperoni pizzas. Both were very dry, had little sauce and even less cheese. Lots of pepperoni, though. We arrived at 4:45p, right before the kitchen opened. It was really slow, so I have no idea why our pizzas didn't come out well. Sadly, not really for us. Won't be going back.
Went with a group this evening shortly before closing and ordered a few pizzas. As the cashier was sending back the orders, a worker from the kitchen came to the counter saying “the kitchen is now closed.” We asked if the orders we had already placed could still be made, and she was greatly embarrassed that she had to cancel and refund the transactions. I understand wanting to go home at the end of the night, but not only did the kitchen staff decide to close up early, they made their co-worker up front look foolish by not telling her they were leaving in advance and to stop taking orders. We went to Marilyn’s instead and had some great pizza. I doubt we’ll try this place again.
