We had a great time here. The food was amazing and the wait staff was lovely. We will definitely be coming again and recommending to friends.
My wife and I really like good Italian food. This place doesn’t disappoint. The place isn’t that big but it seems like it when you are sitting in the really comfortable booths. The service was polite and fast. They give you some bread with vinegar and oil before ordering, I love that they do that. Reminds me of Bruno’s in Livermore. The chicken Marsala is top notch and a must try. It ranks right up there to Anthony’s Italian in Natomas. If you don’t eat pasta they will add more veggies. Remember this place is popular, make sure you call for reservations! We will go back again and again. Don’t miss this one!
We were greeted as soon as we walked in & right away I knew customer service would be awesome! Our waiter( Michelle I think?) helped us with deciding what to order & everything was amazing! with the free bread, appetizer, & salad with entree; wasn’t even able to finish the meal so had a lot of leftovers! Very nice size portions! Will be back!
I did take out and WOW!! I cannot wait to come back and try more from the menu. I ordered the Spaghetti Affumicato, cheese bread and Polenta y Funghi. It came with two slices of the softest rosemary bread. Delicious! 9/10.. price is as expected for good Italian. Portion sizes are shareable. My spaghetti is enough for two hungry adults. Spaghetti doesn’t have a ton of flavor .. wine sauce, feta, chicken and artichoke hearts. Very tasty though! Not overwhelming. The polenta - if you’ve never tried it .. try it here! It’s Italian corn meal with cheese, garlic and mushrooms and I’m telling you definitely a reason it’s their top dish! Cheese bread and sauce is very basic. I’d skip it .. Rosemary bread I need more of!! Very happy with this new find for me. I’ll be back to try more.
Great family, Italian restaurant! Big portions and tasty food! Great for dining in or taking out. Everything is reasonably priced and the service is great! I highly suggest ordering the pizza or any of their pasta.
Best tiramisu dessert, and pasta 🍝😋 great 👍 big portions and fast service. We also had the brushqueta appetizer
We were fortunate to find such an excellent restaurants. My wife and I found this place and were impressed with the quality of service, food, cleanliness, and price. You will feel right at home. It is a perfect place for an anniversary dinner, date, or any other celebration. The service is fluid and without any hiccups. There are things they provide to avoid making you wait or ask for more of something. For example, aside from the glasses of water provided, an extra glass bottle is placed on the table in case you finish your water. Thereby, eliminating the need to ask for more water. Bread is fresh and the olive oil and balsamic vinegar are provided to you beforehand, which is another convenience. Salads fresh and tasty. I specifically ordered the 4 cheese ravioli (I cannot recall the exact name) was so flavorful and delightful that I wanted more of It! My wife's pizza had a delightful crisp to the crust, but not burnt. The toppings were distributed well on the pizza. Our desert was the perfect ending to our anniversary celebration.
Wonderful experience here, I was with a party of 6, and they let us place a reservation for 6 people at 8pm, an hour before they closed and were extremely accommodating to our party. The food was great and we had no complaints with the service.

Mamma Susanna’s has been around forever but we only discovered it a year ago. It’s now our go-to evening out when treating another couple. Authentic Italian cuisine, fine wines and a family owned feel. Quiet enough to have a conversation without raising your voice. Servers are friendly but not annoying. And the food is delicious! Portions are generous so that we usually have food to take home. Try it with a Groupon and you’ll be convinced :-)
Very much the down home Italian food that I love! My penne rustica had tender chicken, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms in a light cream sauce, not too heavy! Wednesday night was free glass of wine with an entree, so I enjoyed the Bogle Zinfandel. Service was professional and friendly…

If you’re looking for an authentic Italian dining experience, look no further than Mamma Sussanna's! From the moment you step inside, you are welcomed with a warm atmosphere and the delightful aroma of freshly prepared dishes. The menu is a delightful journey through Italy, offering a fantastic selection of antipasti, pasta, and desserts. We started with the fresh warm bread and olive oil with balsamic. For the main course, the homemade gorgonzola cream sauce with angel hair pasta was a standout. It was rich, creamy, and just the right balance of rich cheese. My dining partner opted for the seafood selection, with mussels clams, scallops and shrimp. Dessert was an absolute must! The tiramisu was light, fluffy, and had just the right amount of espresso flavor, providing the perfect sweet finish to our meal. Service was impeccable; our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, making it perfect for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends. Overall, offers an exceptional culinary experience that transports you straight to Italy.
Service was a bit slow and entrees took a while to come out. Very good food though and large portions at that!! Use the Groupon deal for a nice night out, but beware the prices are a little outdated between what Groupon offers and the current menu prices. Ex: deal offers a bottle of wine up to $25 but the bottles start at $30 lol
We used a Groupon and definitely got our money's worth with this deal. We got a bottle of wine, an appetizer, 2 side salads, entrees and a dessert. Hubby had the chicken marsala and said it was delicious. I had the spaghetti and meatballs. Loved the spaghetti, but the meatballs weren't my favorite; they were a little tough, but there was so much spaghetti that I didn't miss not eating them. Good size salads and we got the garlic cheese bread, which was so yummy! Shared a chocolate cannoli. House wine is a Sangiovese and it was really nice. Loved that it is a nice quiet place. We sat a Mike and Doris' Sunday table. ❤️ We will definitely be back.
The chicken with cream sauce was good but a tiny bit bland. The lasagna came out piping hot and had a very nice flavor. The bread was excellent.
Casual American-Italian restaurant with affordable and large portions. The spaghetti was way overcooked (mushy) but sometimes that hits the spot. The chicken marsala was okay, but not the best I've had. The focaccia w olive oil/balsamic vinegar served was also quite mediocre. However, service was very kind and quick, and the atmosphere is cozy and casual. I had a lot of leftover pasta for another meal; they were quite generous with the amount of seafood added in. It's hard to find a down to earth Italian restaurant for a quick sit-down meal, so this place is nice if that's what you're looking for. Parking was also easy.
Our new favorite Italian spot! The picture says it all! Lots of take-home, and a cleaned desert plate... one of the best Tiramisu I've ever had! It's a perfect balance between chocolate and coffee! I don't generally like coffee flavor, but on rare occasions they get it right. I'm definitely going back for more! Also, I did something they don't normally do: I got the pesto sauce with the cheesy, and it was fantastic with the mushrooms! I'm a cook and I love mixing flavors: especially sauces, seasonings and drink flavors. I highly recommend trying this combo! I was enjoying it so much, the waiter asked about it and is now interested in trying it! LOL
The restaurant had a mom and pop feel and located near Sac State University. Got there 1 hour before closing but they didn't rush us out. The owner was very nice and always checked on us to make sure everything was alight. The food tasted good and if you're looking for comfort food, try the pelento and spaghetti.

Build your own pasta options come with a side salad. I had cheese tortellini with creamy pesto sauce (Sorento). Portions were generous. The chocolate mouse dessert comes in a glass flute even if you pick it up to- go. Tasty but you have to be very careful if you choose to take this item to- go. Staff was very helpful.

Ordered for pick up. Not too impressed, especially for the price. Ordered lasagna, and chicken Parmesan. Lasagna was okay, the chicken parm wasn't breaded, and had no taste to the sauce. Also pretty skimpy on the cheese! The salads were the best tasting, but they were pretty skimpy on that too! We ordered for pick up, but they gave us zero utensils or napkins. For $20+ entrees, definitely not worth coming back, was very disappointed!
Kinda dark lighting when walking in , ordered the seafood pasta they forgot my mussels so he brought them on the side overall my food was a 7/10 I asked for it to be spicy but I guess he forgot to add chilli flakes . But the white wine sauce is really really good! I subbed out the regular sauce for that. My bread was warmed in the microwave so I didn’t eat it but if it was candles on the table that would spice up the place ! Not to bad

The staff was welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere was quaint. It is located in a strip mall, and the aroma attracted me to come in. I ordered the Susanna's Special which is a pizza pie I could easily forget about. The dough tastes like it came from a frozen pizza. The sauce was absent from the pie, and the toppings were quite bland. I will give this place another try sometime in the future and try their pasta, but definitely not their pies. Masullo, Sellands, Roma's 1 & 2 are better options.
