Summer

My friend and I each had a slice of pepperoni and shared a Caesar salad. The pizza was delicious, the salad was okay. We didn’t even need the dipping sauces we ordered.

First time visiting. Sunday evening around 7pm. It was fairly busy which is good for them! Cozy restaurant. Outdoor seating with patio heaters. I must say sometimes pizza is just pizza but everything about this place was unique. I loved the fresh mozzarella on top!! They have very unique dipping sauces to choose from.- hot honey- and cilantro sauce. Loved mixing them both and dipping the pizza in them!! I had a Caesar salad. First time I’ve ever had artichoke hearts on the salad. The dressing tasted like it was made in house and it was delightful. We also ordered the truffle fries which were delicious. They have beers on tap also. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a unique pizza experience. The pizza and crust are delicious!!!!

Great pizza! Great service! Plenty of inside or outside dining! We had three types of pizza plus their legendary Truffle Fries. Their daily special, the Dino Slice, was a vegan pizza that was quite delicious (see photo below). We also had a slice of pepperoni, which had a ton of pepperoni, and a full-size Potato Pizza, while it may sound strange, was very yummy! They have a decent selection of non-alcoholic drinks and an array of alcoholic ones, particularly some really good craft beers. (And a special wink to the kids: While everything tastes fantastic, no dinosaurs were harmed in the making of these pizzas.)

Pizzasaurus Rex makes some seriously good pizza—crispy crust, great toppings, and just the right amount of cheese. The vibe is fun, the service is friendly, and it’s a solid spot to grab a slice or a whole pie. Definitely worth a stop if you’re craving good pizza.

Pizza by the slice or whole pies. The Dino is absolutely worth it! Plain pepperoni is spot-on as well! Service is quick and prices are reasonable! Staff is great and well-informed! Great spot for a quick bite!

Great food and atmosphere!!! Food is great! The pepperoni in the shape of dinosaur feet (prints)! Soooo cute! Also I’m a big eater and 2 slices were oddly filling. Get 2. You need it.

The pizza was truly awesome, flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed the overall visit and would definitely come back the next time I’m in the area.

Some of the best pizza in Sacramento! They have an excellent tap list as well. Great spot to sit and have a slice or grab a pie to go. Make sure to try the Dino sauce!!

I have to admit, when I first heard the name “Pizzasaurus Rex,” I was a little skeptical - it sounded a bit too playful for my taste. But after going there, boy do I stand corrected! After finally stopping by about a year and a half ago, I’ve been hooked ever since! The pizza here is perfection. For me, it’s almost like a Detroit-style pizza...the dough is crispy on the bottom, soft and fluffy in the middle, and has just the right amount of chewiness. Every ingredient is fresh and top-quality. Their menu is straightforward, but that simplicity is exactly what makes it so great. I usually go for half pepperoni and half combination, and as someone who doesn't typically order pepperoni pizzas, that really says something about how incredible their pepperoni is - thick-cut and crispy, with so much flavor! Not only is the pizza fantastic, but their house-made sauces are other-worldly. You can really tell they put care into everything they serve. The customer service is always friendly. Even though I usually order my pizzas to go, they also offer indoor and outdoor seating if you prefer to dine in. I can’t recommend Pizzasaurus Rex enough. It’s easily one of my favorite pizza spots in Sacramento!

Staff were very nice and helpful. My friend got a slice of cheese and I got their Dino slice - their rotating slice of pizza. The Dino slice I got had white sauce, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms. The pizza was tasty but not as delicious as I expected. We got ranch and Dino sauce (a green cilantro sauce) for dipping. Definitely recommend getting the Dino sauce with whatever slice you get. The pizza has a crisp bottom and great crunch. Not sure if my expectations weren’t met because I got the Dino slice but my friend’s cheese slice was “good/okay”. I’ll have to come back to try the pepperoni. Very fun pizza spot in a convenient area!

If you want to stuff your tummy with square, greasy, doughy perfection, this is the spot. The place is smallish—gives off a "pizza start-up" energy with a nice family feel. I honestly can’t recall if they have a soda machine, but if they don't, they need one immediately. It would triple the value. The only downside is the location. To put it nicely... it sucks. You’re right downtown, so there are plenty of sketchy characters roaming around who are living on a different planet than the rest of us. Also, parking? You’re in for a treat (and by treat, I mean a nightmare).

Okay arrived a little bit late to pick up my pizza. The pizza was lukewarm and it's not like the pictures where the cheese is melting off. I bought the slice of pepperoni three cheese. Taste of the pizza even though it was semi warm has a nice flavor the crust is excellent. I wish that I would have got a fresh piece of pizza because I believe it would probably be a lot easier to chew it is a little tough. I was looking forward to pulling a piece off and the cheese melt off and it didn't, so I'm disappointed. It's my fault for showing up 15 minutes late. But all in all the pizza taste good lots of pepperoni not too much cheese. I will have to come back again and get a fresh piece of pizza but for now this is my review for lukewarm Pizza and when I come here again I will reassess hope those stars go up. Thank you

The crust was a little doughy and chewy, but didn't have the snap or crunch to it that I like to look for in pizza crust. The sauce and cheese were fine; not memorable. Where they really lost me was the veggies. You have the option to add things like basil, mushrooms, and olives to your slice. I guess I naively thought that they would bake those things onto my individual slice, but they kind of just toss all of those ingredients on top of your slice, *raw*. It wasn't my cup of tea. But, I really liked their truffle fries. Service was casual and easygoing, didn't have to wait too long. You order at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring it out to you. The interior is small and unassuming, but there's also some outdoor seating in the front as well as the side. The vibe is simple and homey. The experience was ok; I know they do different slices by the day or so, so I'd like to try it again sometime.

Went in for 2 beers + 2 slices + 1 sauce = $32 before tip. Bar service was friendly and quick! I liked the ample seating and casual vibe. Sounded like the menu had lots of vegan options. One beer was smaller than expected for $8 but still good. Pizza was okay. Pepperoni slice was great. The dino slice had tasty sausage but the crust reminded me of elementary school lunch. Table drop-off was grumpy. And it's probably a space issue but the prep station where they fill sauces and takeaway storage in the rear could be more out-of-sight. Bathroom needed cleaning. Price-wise, for the same order, it was comparable to Supreme Being but more expensive than Uncle Vito's.

I ordered 2 slices to go and it took probably at least half an hour 45 min to get my 2 slices. The girl that took my order Jill was amazing! super helpful and nice! Pizza was ok it seemed more like on a bread than on a crust. I suggest trying it once but don’t go out of your way. Not worth it for the price
