Amazing Place, Loved the Food & Service. I Loved How the Vibe Felt Going Inside , Like How I Would Imagine It First Was When It First Opened.
We got to meet the Famous Incredible Carmen who worked many many years and hours at this spectacular cafe. She specializes in the best rellleno in town. Also the best salsa with only fresh ingredients.
Oldest mexican restaurant in salinas try the Pollo con mole

I love this place and miss it. When i come to visit, this is my go to place for authentic mexican food. All staff are great. I highly recommend this place.
Perfect oldschool type of place with friendly staff. Carmen has satisfied thousands of happy patrons . Definitely home style ( like Mom use to make )
I love their food. Especially their tostadas!.... Something about their refried beans. 🤗Sooo good. Last but not least they make the BEST margaritas. 💚 💯💪
I've been eating here for years. Great Restuarant. Love their chicken enchiladas😁
Great food, wonderful vintage Mexican restaurant, service with a smile - and reasonable prices
great food, people are really nice, never been disappointed 👍
My family has been coming here every Sunday since I was a baby. Now 27 years later tje tradition continues on with both my daughters coming along and they love it as much as I do. The food is great and the staff is amazing. They are so welcoming and cater to you right away. They offer the best chips & salsa in town as well as the best rice and beans. I highly recommend coming here.
Our family has been coming here for 4 generations, The staff are always friendly and hospitable. The food is excellent & the recipes top secret.. The chicken mole is great, but those Chile Rellenos are sabrosos! Try the combo plate #1.. blessings & favor to you and yours 🙏
“Very good food at a very resonable price” Took my wife and sister to Gino's on Saturday night after a day of wine tasting in the Santa Lucia Highlands. We had an excellent dinner - but realized that Gino's is not a "well kept secret" in Salinas. Arriving early before 5PM the place was pretty empty, by the time we left after 6PM Gino's was packed... people were...
As sad as we are that we can't just drop in and visit with the wonderful family and staff, some growing up before our eyes, AND enjoy our favorite dishes ( best chili rellanos ever, B loves the pork chops, kids say best enchiladas in the USA... and more) we are happy Carmen can relax and enjoy life! Warning, am looking for a reason to have a party for you to cater!

I love this place. Very authentic Mexican food. Wonderful staff
If you want a good meal on a budget, this is the place to go! They always have the usual and the staff is pretty attentive. If you get bored, there's a bar next door!
Great homemade selections, the Chile rellenos are famous in these parts. Also, that server Lupe is the reason this place stands apart from all the other Mexican food establishments in town. She's also kind of cute too.
Good down to earth tasty food, the staff was very nice. They have a good bar. Prices are reasonable. In short, it's a fun, low key place to hang out.
Freshly painted outside with interior work also being done to give it an updated look. Delicious food although I wish their salsa was a bit better. The bartender helped talk me through ordering just the right Margarita. They were so tasty we had two! We've been here many times and will be back soon.

The food was lacking flavor.
Ol school fav..
Good spot for cheap Mexican food...its clean and old fashion about B-...you can get Beer too.
Service was fantastic (A+). Food was ok (C+), but portion was good (B+).
Good place for basic Mexican fare but doesn't live up to its reputation. Convenient to downtown and the courthouse but there are lots of other good choices in Salinas.

it's a great place to get food poisoning!
Appears to be permanently closed
The food took forever just for two burritos and they forgot our beans and rice. The place seemed empty too.
Not a real mexican restaurant..its more like a taco bell white boy food
Me and my friends are tattoo artist from Visalia California and stopped at this restaurant to eat before we headed home from a convention. At first it was closed and a lady came from the bar near to it and opened for us. We thought it would be a good place to eat. Our food was “HORRIBLE” everything was cold and under cooked. My friends didn’t eat and it was just a big disappointment. I’ve tried to call the restaurant and there is no working phone number. I am so upset that I wasted 100$ on such terrible food and my friends didn’t even eat their food. What a disappointment especially when we took such a nice photo thinking we were going to be feed good food after a three day convention. It was disrespectful to be served the food we were….

The place double and tripled the prices of all drinks. A white claw, modelo, and 2 shots of fireball was $36 plus tip for inexperienced bar tenders who don't have IBS certification which is a law and they don't keep regular hours of when they open. No pool table anymore and self service kareoke coming soon. And behind bar is dirty and unsanitary.
Grosssssss!!!!!!!! They opened after the doors where closed to serve us the lady came out from the bar next door saying she was not closed she was just next door ,, and sat us and our food was nasty, nasty, I can’t explain it canned cold enchilada sauce ,cold chicken ,hot soda !!
