Great spot for Coffee, breakfast, and pastries! The staff was wonderful to us and we went 5+ times on our trip to Platja D'aro. The BIG breakfast was only 6 euros! it was 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 4 tomato bread, And a chorizo suasage, plus olives! 2 of us only paid 16 euros for breakfast and 2 coffees each. We loved it. We went almost everyday.

Really nice staff, good bread. Lots and lots of different bread to choose from and it's also very affordable. Went there every morning to get breakfast for me and my friends. Also you can eat there and as I heard from others it's really nice. Orange juice is also supposed to be very tasty. Would recommend. Best bakery im town

Si se quieren comer un Chucho de Crema Espectacularmente sabroso, este es el lugar indicado. Buen café, y buena atención. Pueden encargarlos, se lo pueden comer sentados, o si lo prefieren, se lo van comiendo mientras caminan por las agradables calles de Playa de Aro.

Buen sitio para desayunar en Playa d'Aro. El pan muy rico, café de 10, la crema del xuxo.. además de mucha variedad y servicio muy rápido. La terraza muy agradable para una mañana de relax.

La Formentera es un sitio muy popular en Playa de Aro. Está cafetería está bien situada y funciona con mismas propietarios quens mantenga la calidad de productos y servicios. También la cafetería funciona todo el año por esto este citio es muy popular por aquí. Es muy comodo quedar por aquí con los amigos y tomar un cafe. En ésta cafetería esta disponible varias platos para picar y los chocolates artesanos para llevar. También funciona por aquí una panadería. Recomedo este citio!

Un clásico, con una calidad muy buena en dulces. El Xuxo, el rey. Difícil encontrar uno a la altura de este. La pasta buenísima y el relleno de crema además de generoso, con un sabor excelente. Disponen de una terraza estupenda que se llena los días de sol. Visita obligada para un buen desayuno tomando el sol.

Horno con mucha afluencia de gente local, lo que habla por sí solo. Servicio bueno al igual que la comida y justo al lado de la playa.

Lugar famosos por sus ensaimadas y son como cualquiera. Muy normales pero están buenas.

Café buenísimo y los bocadillos también. Nos resultó algo caro, pero estaba todo muy bueno.

Buenos productos de calidad es una pena que la que nos atendió era muy muy seria,solo habían 3 personas en el local, la atención al público o simpatía fue nula con nosotros

Today they had finished the best Xuxo de crema, creme Brule pastry in whole Costa Brava, but they had others that are very good quality. I recommend to try the xuxo as this is simply stunning. After 1 year I come again and xuixo was really good but again overcooked

Tried the xuxo. Love the crispy crust and the rich cream filling! Don't be fooled by the sugar sprinkled on top, the taste is amazingly creamy and not too sweet.

Just as the others have mentioned, there is a staff member that isn’t so pleasant which gives this establishment a bad name. My husband found her a bit rude and as I observed, she didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. It could be that she was just having a bad day but as I see that this is a reoccurring issue according to other reviews, maybe she needs a day off to relax and recharge herself. The cabello de angel empanada(1.75€) that we ordered was a bit dry and dense although when taken with the coffee(2.75€), was good. Was a bit surprised that for two cabello de angels and two coffees with milk, it costed us 9€.

Mixed emotions about this place. What we can say is: go there if you are not in a hurry, and taking time is what you like. First and foremost nice terrace, and tasty food. Multitude of breakfast choices. On the negative side staff takes time… and lots of it. we were there twice and on both occasions it was a long wait. Yesterday breakfast took us well over an hour... One dish was forgotten completely (we had to remind twice, and it arrived much later than others finished their breakfast), not to mention decaf coffee never arrived.

Bakery in platja de aro that does not live up to the hype. They have a big terrace with lots of tables that looks quite busy and always a cue to purchase to go. Standing on line to purchase to go or to get a table might feel a long time so go there with time. In other parts of Cataluña bakery’s usually open early, in this particular bakery shop it does at 7:30. If you search for fresh from the oven bread for breakfast there are more options. Tried their croissants, kind of soft, the chocolate croissant has the center kind of hard as if it’s not fresh or industrial made. They have a croissant sandwich with ham, cheese and lettuce that is quite delicious, yet it might be better with another type of bread. The prices are quite expensive, even for the tourist spot they are on, might as well make use of the terrace to grab some sun.

Muy lenta la cocina. Entiendo que es temporada alta en agosto en Platja d’Aro pero para un par de bocatas de tortilla y una torrada de fuet esperar 40 min. me parece humildemente demasiado. En mi opinión si la capacidad de la cocina no da no es necesaria tener tantas mesas. No volveré…

Fuimos a desayunar a la terraza y la experiencia fue muy decepcionante. A pesar de que varios camareros pasaban cerca, ninguno se acercó a nuestra mesa. Esperamos más de media hora sin que nos tomaran nota. La sensación fue de ser totalmente ignorados. Una pena, ya que el lugar parece agradable

Asked for a fruit smoothie, got very bluntly answered "just orange juice". Asked for two cappuccino and two "sweet" croissant with marmalade (notice that half the clients were eating salty ones), got mockingly answered "croissant ARE sweet"... The order comes in: the "croissant" seemed made of rubber. Probably made even earlier than the day before. Marmalade filling was on the side, we had to fill the croissant ourselves... Problem is, it being made out of rubber, opening it cleanly with the dull knife provided for the task was impossible... The only way to get the croissant filled was to rip it apart. You can have a better breakfast in jail.
