Classic dive bar vibes. Had a great bartender and enjoyed playing darts!
Love the staff! Mykaila and Janin were so much fun and sweet. I loved this bar. It’s a great dive bar and perfect spot to be if you want to make friends in the SA community.

Guys, I have called for hours. Please if yall see this I accidentally gave very precious earrings I got from my mom that where in my pocket to the brunette bartender that was working at 9.30pm on Wednesday the 21st. They are silver hearts that are hallow I have a necklace to match. I had forgotten they where in my pocket but now they are in her tip jar. Please I beg you, please keep them safe. I'm sorry for this mistake. And thank you so much. Love Jerky Girl.
Been going here for a while now and it never disappoints. Just a nice chill spot to hang with friends. Usually not too busy so you can get a chance to play pool and such if you want. Nice music selection that's not too loud, so having conversations is possible. Drinks are affordable and the bartenders are great, Joddie(spelling, sorry) especially.
In reference to the last few reviews: These prior comments are disingenuous and leave out context. These young girls were already engaged in an altercation with patrons before any slurs were used. They were asked to leave repeatedly before they finally did. The patronage of this bar consists of about 60-70% minorities and welcomes all walks of life and sexual persuasions. We do not discriminate against anyone. in spite of unfortunate comments that might have been made by a patron involved in this altercation. These girls were singled out because they were the ones yelling and making a scene. The one girl that got called a slur was shoving people prior and after that happened. It’s not the job of the employees to take sides in heated arguments but in this and most cases the squeaky wheel gets the oil and they were the squeaky wheel. As the old bald guy that told them to leave, yes I do work there but wasn’t working that night. Doesn’t mean I don’t have authority and I didn’t intervene until I witnessed one of these women put their hands on someone (shove) TWICE. This was when I told them to leave. They’d already been told to leave by staff. If someone uses a slur against you, you have the right to be angry. You have the right to be outraged. You never, EVER have the right to put your hands on someone. Period. It should also be mentioned that several of the people they were arguing with ARE minorities. The bartender mentioned is Puerto Rican. Thiis transpired after last call and everyone was needing to leave the establishment anyway. Hope you got home safe but don’t come back
Super cool bar with great people
I absolutely love everything about this bar I was just in town for a short time for work, but I met so many good people which I actually consider friends now! I was always treated like family can’t wait to travel back to San Antonio! The bartenders are all beautiful souls as well! I’ll miss everyone!
Nice night on a Saturday with a live band
This place is chill and relaxing. The bartenders were great with good service. Beer is always cold. The place does give a good vibe.
My local favorite for a Friday after-work cool down. The bartenders are cute and friendly, and remember your name and drinks, which is a MUST for me. I feel like they could leave a couple of lights on because the TV screens around the bar hurt my eyes after a while. But otherwise it's definitely my favorite place to hang out after a long work day.
Cool spot with a convenient location and friendly staff. The cheap prices aew a huge plus!
I love the environment and how welcoming everyone is, hard to find that as a minority part of the LGBTQ community. I’ve been coming for about 3 years and have gotten to know the bartenders, owners, and the other regulars. Love my second home!
You want cheaper drink prices and a clean Dive Bar then head here ..the clientele is a mixed bag From college students just barely 21 to old geezers who all co habit well together..it is not a pick up joint since most ladies here are regulars or taken...come for the booze and excellent bartenders...they got events and pool and darts and TV.. some of the folks have a rather colorful vocabulary but people here are mellow and willing to chit chat...

This is could be the Cheers of San Antonio. The staff is friendly, the drinks are awesome and decently priced, and the environment is comfy and warm. It is small so it only has one pool table and a couple of dart boards, but it never gets too crowded so you don't feel claustrophobic. I have been coming here for 15 years and it is nice to have a consistent place to go to after a hard day.
Cozy dive with awesome bartenders, good drinks, fair prices and, of course, much appreciated, traditional St. Patty's Day specials to accommodate my Irish fiance and his friends' expectations on this holiday. Especially because we do NOT enjoy nor appreciate SAs over-rated downtown tourist driven fiasco paired with poorly made, over priced cocktails on St. Patrick's Day. Thank you for the fun and friendly neighborhood atmosphere!
Always a gas...a historic land mark in San Antonio Texas actually. It was built back in the day when nothing was out 281 ...now they're always hoping . Great family and neighborhood dive . With character.

Definitely a neighborhood bar. Some of the regulars are usually pretty hammered and possibly unruly. Bartenders are all very sweet and accommodating. Particular doorman is very intense and uninviting.

1st bartender was terrific. Great personality, attentive. Also, Food was excellent. Outsourced. 2nd bartender was useless. Hanging out with her friends, on her phone, drinking, no service whatsoever. Let my beer run dry. Lifestyle or service position? Very unimpressed. This person will not compliment business growth and attract new patrons. Find a new career

Bartenders are mean girls. Wouldn’t even take my MILITARY ID. Asked for another ID so I’m not sure if I should have brought my passport too??? Didn’t even id the men I were with. Mean girls and rude attitudes. Go to Lucy’s.
I had gone here for almost a year with coworkers and never had any issues, until there was a gentleman here who had called me and friends here slurs. Nothing was done for us and we were kicked out by a bald man who “worked here” (never saw him work only drink). The bartender did nothing for us and we were ultimately kicked out for telling the man to “cool it with the comments”. Terrible bar for people who are gay or minorities. Sad to say that I came here for awhile and would never return again

The atmosphere is not welcoming to minorities. The other customers are not respectful to those around them, and regularly entice conflict. Not worth your time visiting.
